Roadway improvement project in Bullhead City begins Monday, Oct. 31

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in conjunction with Bullhead City, will begin work to widen Riverview Drive from Balboa Drive to State Route 95 on Monday, Oct. 31. Work is scheduled to occur from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through spring 2017.
Off-roadway utility work will occur in November with minimal impacts on traffic.
The $2 million project includes adding a center turn lane and widening the current two-lane road to three lanes. Additional improvements include new parking spaces at the new soccer fields in Rotary Park.
“This project will be very beneficial to the community in several ways. In addition to providing a smoother and wider roadway, a dedicated multi-use path will be built that will protect both pedestrians and bicyclists,” said Bob Lueck, Bullhead City assistant public works director. “Construction of the center turn lane will improve safety and access to all properties along the road.”
ADOT will issue construction updates as the project continues. To sign up for future updates, please go to www.azdot.gov/BullheadCityRiverviewDrProject
