SR 79 restrictions continue on Gila River Bridge in Florence

State Route 79 will remain narrowed to one lane in both directions at the Gila River Bridge, between mileposts 135 and 136 in Florence, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 26, for bridge repair work. Traffic will alternate in the open lane and be guided through the work zone by crews and traffic devices. Drivers should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction equipment and personnel. ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but it’s possible that unscheduled closures or restrictions might occur because of weather or other factors.
