Construction underway of median crossover on SR 260 east of Kohl’s Ranch

Heavy delays possible; please allow for extra time for travel

 Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) crews are underway constructing a median crossover on State Route 260 (milepost 272), four miles east of Kohl’s Ranch. During construction the roadway will be reduced in the work zone to one lane of travel for both east- and westbound traffic, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The crossover construction is anticipated to be completed on Friday, July 15.

During operations a 12-foot wide load restriction will also be in place. Traffic and width restrictions will be lifted for nighttime and weekend travel.

Delays can be anticipated during construction. ADOT advises travelers to allow for extra time for travel in the area, and to watch for crews and equipment in the work zone.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned roadway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
