Pippa Middleton Is Engaged to James Matthews. Wedding bells may be in Pippa Middleton's future. A source tells E! News that the 32-year-old is engaged to James Matthews after a romantic proposal earlier in the summer. According to the Daily Mail who first broke the news, the engagement occurred during a July weekend in the Lake District and Pippa was "completely and totally surprised." The publication also reports that James asked Pippa's father for permission before getting down on one knee. "Mike and Carole Middleton are very happy," a friend of the couple revealed. "They like James and they are sure he will make Pippa very happy." To be fair, false engagement news is nothing new for Kate Middleton's sister. In addition, the palace is not commenting on the speculation. However, if the romantic story turns out to be a reality, it's welcome news for fans of the couple. The couple first started dating in 2012 before calling it quits. They would ultimately reunite in 2015 when a special connection couldn't be ignored. "James has always been on the scene," a source shared with E! News. "He is super charismatic and charming, good looking and always held a torch for Pippa. They have always had insane chemistry, but Pippa was always in a relationship." As for Pippa's ex-boyfriend Nico Jackson, our insider believed that he was different from James and wasn't able to accept the fame as well. "[James is] more social and outgoing than Nico, loves society events and celebrity events. Nico never really enjoyed the spotlight. James revels in it," our source shared. "Pippa loves socializing and, with James on her arm, there will be plenty more of it." Pippa gained plenty of attention in the states when she appeared in a stunning white dress at her sister's wedding to Prince William. She has gone on to become a party planner, writer and was studying to become a nutritionist -- when not biking 54 miles for charity, of course. (Eonline)

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney Break Up. Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney's engagement is off. The former couple, who began dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of Gaga's "Yoü and I" music video, have called it quits, sources tell E! News. The breakup comes after months of speculation that the "Poker Face" singer, 30, and the Chicago Fire actor, 35, were on the outs. "They want to keep it private," an insider says. "It's heartbreaking." Last week -- on Kinney's birthday -- Gaga was photographed without her engagement ring. When she performed at an orphanage in Mexico earlier this week, the ring was again missing. Neither Gaga nor Kinney has commented on the matter, and it's unclear who initiated the split. From the beginning, though, it was obvious the pair shared a deep and meaningful connection. "When you meet someone that's not intimidated by the amazing people that are around you [or] by the love that you receive -- that's love," Gaga told Fashion magazine in 2013. "Men weren't always happy for me. It was very challenging to watch a woman be so successful." Kinney was The One, according to Gaga. "I really can't imagine being with anyone other than who I'm with right now," the Golden Globe winner told Howard Stern in a December 2014 SiriusXM interview. "He is the right guy. I have that feeling. I just know it." The pair's relationship only deepened in the following years. To Gaga's surprise and delight, Kinney proposed on Valentine's Day in 2015 with a heart-shaped diamond ring. Three months later, Gaga told Women's Wear Daily that she was looking for a wedding dress with her fiance in mind. "It will be totally for Taylor. It's all about my man," the Grammy winner revealed. "I haven't really thought about anything specific yet, but whatever it is, it will be totally for him." Gaga spent the summer and fall filming FX's American Horror Story: Hotel, while Kinney filmed the fourth season of Chicago Fire and guest arcs on Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med. "We don't have a date," Kinney told Meredith Vieira on her daytime talk show in October. "It's kind of a logistics thing right now. It's just timing. She's really busy with the show; I'm busy with mine." "I could go to the Little White Chapel, but I think...well, she's an Italian and that won't happen," the TV star continued. "She wants a nice big wedding, so I'll let you know when we get a date." Gaga, who is working on a follow-up album to 2013's ARTPOP, later admitted that many people were pitching in ahead of her big day. "If I would have denied the women of my life the planning of the wedding they would probably kill me," she told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show in March. "I have all the help in the world, in a way!" That same month, E! News caught up with Kinney, who admitted his fiancee was calling most of the shots. "I leave that up to her," he said. Regarding when they would tie the knot, he said, "We have a couple in mind, but no set date." E! News has reached out to both stars' reps for comment. TMZ first reported the split Tuesday. (Eonline)

Mean Girls Actor Daniel Franzese Is Engaged. It turns out that Pippa Middleton and James Matthews weren't the only couple with exciting engagement news! Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese popped the big question to his partner Joseph Bradley Phillips, People reports. The 38-year-old Looking actor proposed to his better half at the exact same Starbucks location where the two met more than one year ago. "Joseph has given me the best of his heart and I am so happy he said yes," Francese told the magazine. "Finding my soulmate has made all the years I struggled with myself worth it. We can't wait to be Mr. and Mr. Franzese." During the romantic proposal, the actor surprised his future husband with a cup that read 'Mr. & Mr. Franzese' while a barista presented one of the rings to the happy duo. "Since I first saw you here, you have opened your heart to me, and I vow to God that for the rest of my life to honor and protect that heart if you will be my husband. Will you marry me?" Franzese told Phillips during the undoubtedly emotional moment. Congratulations to both on the engagement news! (Eonline)

Rumors have been swirling for a while now that say Lindsay Lohan and her Russian business heir boyfriend Egor Tarabasov are engaged. With no official announcement, no one could be sure. But if Lindsay's latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it seems she's ready to share all... In the post, Lohan can be seen sitting on a bed not-so-subtly showing off the *blinding* emerald sparkler on her engagement finger. The star reportedly moved in with the 22-year-old Russian business heir after just three months of dating back in March, and now it seems the pair are taking their relationship one (big) step further. Congrats! (British Glamour)

Cher shaded Kate Hudson's 'pain in the a**' clothing line in the most Cher way possible. It's the feud everyone is talking about. The social media scandal that has rocked the world of celebrities...forever. OMG, did she really just post that? Yes, and now nothing will ever be the same. It's Cher vs. Kate Hudson. Who did you think we meant? The music icon and even more prominent Twitter icon took to her medium of choice on Monday to shade Fabletics, the active wear line that Hudson co-founded. "Made mistake of going2 Fabletics. What a pain in the ass. won't let u see anything Till u give them ur 1st born?" Cher tweeted, tossing in a red exclamation point emoji for good measure. "Felt I Was Being Conned" Fabletics is -- maybe? -- a monthly subscription-based service, though we have to admit we spent a considerable amount time on the website and we're still not actually sure what you get with VIP points or what a "VIP Membership" entails. We did find this funny paragraph about Hudson, though: "An iconic actress, fashion tastemaker and mother of two, Kate Hudson was born to inspire others. Her passion for motivating and supporting women to lead healthy and active lives led Kate to co-found Fabletics. Each month, she shares her favorite outfits, so you can rest assured they're always Kate-approved." ~Born to inspire others~ Anyway, the iconic actress, fashion tastemaker and mother of two has been in Ibiza for the past week and seems unbothered: As for the other feuds, Kim Kardashian took on Taylor Swift to defend Kanye West's honor...again. Macaulay Culkin: "I Was Not Pounding Six Grand of Heroin Every Month." Macaulay Culkin has emerged from his notoriously private life to put the rumors to rest. "No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever," the 35-year-old former child star declared to The Guardian. Despite being a fixture of the silver screen throughout the early 1990s with pop culture classics like Home Alone, My Girl and Richie Rich, Culkin retreated from the spotlight by the time he was just 14. Despite resurfacing for projects scattered throughout the next decade, the actor never returned to quite the level of stardom he had achieved as an adolescent. Still, his seclusion from Hollywood, an arrest for drug possession, a two-year teenage marriage and his grungy adult appearance had only further lured the paparazzi. "The thing that bugged me was tabloids wrapping it all in this weird guise of concern. No, you're trying to shift papers," he continued to the newspaper. In an industry fueled by the next big thing, Culkin is perfectly content these days with not having his every career move choreographed. "People feel they have to be in perpetual motion, or drown. I've never had a problem saying I've got nothing lined up. Maybe I'll take the next year off," he explained. When he's not pining for free time, the actor and frontman of the Pizza Underground, which has announced its looming disbandment, finds bliss hustling behind the scenes. "Home is where my boots are. I'm a big fan of jumping on people's tour buses, making myself useful, doing load-ins and outs," he revealed to the outlet. "I do everything except the merch table. I tried that, but ... we didn't sell anything." After nearly four decades in the limelight, both willingly and begrudgingly, he has developed a way of managing the scrutiny. "You take on a prey-like attitude, always scanning the horizon. It's strange on dates, as it looks like you're not paying attention. But I've stopped trying to think of myself in the third person, because that's just gonna drive me nuts," he explained. "Macaulay Culkin is out there, and I'm Mac. You guys can play with the first one." Still, despite his aversion to publicity, there's one name he's probably less interested in hearing than his own: Donald Trump. "He's like the Candyman, we have to stop saying his name." (Eonline)

Bill Cosby is now "completely blind," said a well-placed source, who added that the embattled comic is "in his own personal hell." The disgraced comedian once known as "America's Dad" is now confined to his Pennsylvania home with only his incomprehensibly loyal wife, Camille, at his side. The source close to Cosby told us, "His alleged victims may take some solace in the fact that he's in his own personal hell. He has been suffering from a degenerative eye disease and is completely blind .?.?. All his Hollywood friends have turned their backs on him. "He is confined to his house in Pennsylvania, and the only person on his side is his wife, Camille, who is masterminding his defense. His only friends are the small army of lawyers on his payroll." Although his top lawyers, Brian McMonagle and Angela C. Agrusa, didn't respond to questions from Page Six, Cosby's sight has been slowly fading for some time. In January, Monique Pressley, another of his lawyers, said of his strange appearance in his mug shot, "He's a 78-year-old blind man who they've chosen to charge. That's not a defense to a charge, that's just a fact." It explains why he is led into court by lawyers and reps on both of his arms. (He turned 79 on July 12.) Since then, the condition has become far more severe. AP Cosby reportedly has a degenerative eye condition called keratoconus, a condition that causes the eye's cornea to bulge. A judge this month ruled that Cosby will stand trial on sexual assault charges, at a date yet to be determined. Cosby faces three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault from a 2004 case involving Andrea Constand, an employee at his alma mater, Temple University. She was the first of more than 50 women who've accused Cosby of sexual misconduct. But, on Monday, a judge in his civil case ruled Cosby will be allowed to sue Constand -- who claims he drugged and raped her in 2004 -- for allegedly breaching a confidentiality agreement she signed with him after he settled with her out of court in 2006. Leslie Jones, one of the four stars of the female reboot of Ghostbusters, has been forced off Twitter after a volley of hate crime against her. Jones, who played the group's expert in New York lore, Patty Tolan, spent much of Monday battling racist insults, as well as comments which had been Photo shopped to make it seem as though they originated from her account. There was an outcry from fans over Twitter's apparent failure to do anything to combat the attack on Jones, which came from largely anonymous accounts. There has been an overwhelmingly negative campaign against Ghostbusters online. Male "fans" of the original Ghostbusters hated the female recasting of a film that had male leads. Well before it was released in the US on July 15, American and Canadian viewers had heavily down voted the film on user-based reviews sites despite receiving middling to positive reviews from the press. After hours of retweeting the comments in an attempt to highlight what she was enduring and the user accounts, Jones said: "I feel like I'm in a personal hell. I didn't do anything to deserve this. It's just too much. It shouldn't be like this. So hurt right now." A hashtag, #LoveForLeslieJ, trended as fans showed support for the comedian, with Ghostbusters director Paul Feig and co-writer Katie Dippold both tweeting shock and support. Eventually the abuse became too much and Jones issued a final tweet: "I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the shit I got today...wrong." A spokesman for Twitter told Buzzfeed: "This type of abusive behavior is not permitted on Twitter, and we've taken action on many of the accounts reported to us by both Leslie and others. We rely on people to report this type of behavior to us but we are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to prevent this kind of abuse. "We realize we still have a lot of work in front of us before Twitter is where it should be on how we handle these issues." (British Glamour)

''Bad Blood'' Director Joseph Kahn Compares Taylor Swift to Nicole Brown Simpson Amid Kardashian Feud. Taylor Swift 's "Bad Blood" director is coming for the Kardashian family in a new controversial tweet. Joseph Kahn blasted the famous family after Kim Kardashian posted a Snapchat showing the singer discussing the song "Famous" with Kanye West. Kahn's tweet not only points the blame at the Keeping Up With the Kardashian stars, but likens T.Swift to the late Nicole Brown Simpson. "Ain't the first time the Kardashians supported the murder of an innocent blonde woman." Nicole was found dead in her Brentwood, Calif. apartment in 1994 and her ex-husband, O.J. Simpson, was subsequently found not guilty. Robert Kardashian was not only a friend of the athlete, but served as one of his defense attorneys throughout the trial. Kris Jenner has spoken over the years about her close relationship with Nicole and how the trial greatly impacted her relationship with her ex. "At the end of Nicole's life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble," Kris told ABC News late last year. "The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, 'He's going to kill me and he's going to get away with it.'" She added, "I will always feel guilty that I didn't pay more attention and didn't speak up when I thought anything was wrong." (Eonline)

Team Nobody. Chris Brown blasted Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian for their feud in an epic Instagram rant on Monday, July 18. Brown, 27, appeared to give his two cents about Swift, 26, and Kardashian, 35, in the comments section of a photo that the account Baller alert posted of Swift. "WHO GIVES A F -- K," he wrote. "CELEBRITIES, FREEDOM OF SPEECH???, come back to f -- king planet earth. EVERYONE REALLY BE ACTING LIKE LITTLE ASS KIDS (EVEN ME AT TIMES). Oh NO... Someone said something I don't like, OUCH, MY P---Y HURT. Make music and shut the f--k up." Brown even brought the new highly addictive Pokemon Go game into the mix. "BETWEEN POKEMON (which I love) and this FAKE ASS CELEBRITY HIGHSCHOOL DEBATE TEAM, our values or even our regular lives are too consumed by bulls--t. ME INCLUDED, I just wanna see things from artists ( celebrities) that actually f--king matter. I DONT NEED the press nor am I dropping an album next week," he continued. "I DON'T F--K WIT CELEBRITIES. Real talk. There isn't a core in them, ONLY THE SURFACE." As previously reported, Swift and Kardashian's relationship went from bad to worse over the weekend. On Sunday, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Snapchatted footage of Swift speaking with Kanye West on the phone about his song "Famous." The clip surprised many, as the "Style" singer previously blasted West for the "misogynistic message." Even more, she slammed him while accepting the 2016 Grammy Award for Album of the Year for 1989. "I want to say to all the young women out there -- there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," she said on February 15. "But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be greatest feeling in the world." Despite the newly released footage, Swift is sticking to her story. She labeled Kardashian's actions "character assassination" in an Instagram post. "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that bitch' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened," she wrote on Monday. You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that bitch' in front of the entire world. ... He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard." (US Weekly)

A Lighter Shade Of Brown's Bobby 'DTTX' Ramirez Passes Away At 46 After Being In A Coma For Nearly Two Weeks. Sad news. On Monday afternoon, rapper Bobby Ramirez (AKA DTTX) passed away after he was discovered unconscious in the streets of Las Vegas only a handful of days ago. He was 46-years-old. According to his family, the A Lighter Shade Of Brown member was hospitalized on July 7 and was in a coma for 11 days after paramedics found him unresponsive with a body temperature of 107 and with burns on his body. At the time, Ramirez was taken to a local hospital and placed on life support. Oh man. While Bobby's family confirmed to TMZ that the artist had a difficult relationship with alcohol, they theorize the final cause of death was probably due to cardiac arrest and heat stroke. How sad. The ALSOB Facebook page has also confirmed the news of Bobby's passing, as they wrote: Our thoughts are with Bobby's loved ones during this particularly trying time. R.I.P. (Perez Hilton)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Charlize Theron Calls on the Younger Generation to Help End the AIDS Epidemic by 2030. Charlize Theron wants to see change, and in order to do that, she knows we have to do something different. The actress took the podium in Durban, South Africa at the 21st international AIDS conference to speak out about the ongoing epidemic, and to address the problems our world continuously faces today without sugarcoating a thing. "This is the second time my home country of South Africa has hosted. That's not an honor. That's not something we should be proud of," Theron stated. "We shouldn't have had to host this conference again. Please understand, I don't mean to insult anyone here or to belittle the extraordinary work that has been done by this amazing community over the years. "I have seen the impact of your work firsthand. I have been personally inspired by your commitment to this fight. Countless millions would have died without your dedication and your compassion. But I think it's time we acknowledge that something is terribly wrong." This is when Theron goes into the statistics that just don't seem to add up. The star explains that "we have every tool we need to prevent the spread of HIV," and yet millions continue to be diagnosed each year. And that's when the famous activist got to the nitty-gritty of the problem. "The real reason we haven't beaten the epidemic boils down to one simple fact: We value some lives more than others. We value men more than women. Straight love more than gay love. White skin more than black skin. The rich more than the poor. Adults more than adolescents," she said. "I know this because AIDS does not discriminate on its own. It has no biological preference for black bodies, for women's bodies, for gay bodies, for youth or for the poor. It doesn't single out the vulnerable, the oppressed, or the abused." Theron continued, "We single out the vulnerable, the oppressed, and the abused. We ignore them. We let them suffer. And then, we leave them to die." That's when the star introduced the conference to what her foundation, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, has called "GenEndIt," which calls on the younger generation to help shift the social injustice that is crippling the world we live in. This call to action is not limited to just AIDS, but also victim-shaming, homophobia, racism and the cycle of poverty. "If we are going to end AIDS, we must cure the disease in our hearts and minds first. And I believe young people are the ones to do it. Young people have always been drivers of social change. And this generation holds unique promise. This is the generation that is shattering taboos and redefining old notions of gender, sexuality, and racial justice," she said. "I believe the single most important thing each of us can do after we leave here is to connect with a young person. Listen, truly listen, to what she has to say. Give her a seat at the table. Let her be part of the conversation. And let's make sure our work reflects her input and her voice...If we support our young people, if we give them the confidence and the space to speak out against bigotry and injustice, and if we take the time to listen and empower them, they will end this epidemic." Theron concluded with the reveal of a goal set by the foundation. "Since the first International AIDS Conference in 1985, we have been counting up, all the way to 21. Now it's time for us to start counting down. "We have set a goal to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030." (Eonline)

Melania Trump's Dress Sells Out Less Than an Hour After Her Republican Convention Speech. Now that's how you make a fashion and political statement. Presidential candidate Donald Trump's wife Melania Trump took the podium Monday night on the first night of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, marking one of the first times we've heard the potential First Lady speak on the election. And while the 46-year-old did an impressive job with her delivery during the speech, she also killed it in the fashion game, which is one she definitely knows how to play. Melania walked out in a cotton silk off-white Roksanda "Margot" dress with bell sleeves, which is described as a "beautiful option for the modern bride," with Christian Louboutin heels, which was the perfect balance of chic and elegant. Although one would be quick to assume that Trump's lady was assisted by a stylist for her big night, a spokesperson for Melania tells E! News, "She doesn't have a stylist. She has excellent taste. She simply liked the dress and purchased it." The price tag on the high-fashion retailer site lists the ivory dress at $2,190 (and is also available in black), but if you're planning to cop yourself a frock, you're out of luck. It's already sold out. Aside from speaking highly of her husband, the Slovania-born model spoke about her upbringing and what values she'd hope to bring with her as FLOTUS. "From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect," she said to the crowd. "They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow." She later continued, "My husband offers a new direction, welcoming change, prosperity and greater cooperation among peoples and nations. Donald intends to represent all the people, not just some of the people. That includes Christians and Jews and Muslims, it includes Hispanics and African Americans and Asians, and the poor and the middle class. "Throughout his career, Donald has successfully worked with people of many faiths and with many nations. Like no one else, I have seen the talent, the energy, the tenacity, the resourceful mind and the simple goodness of heart that God gave Donald Trump." (Eonline)

"Grey's Anatomy" star and legendary choreographer Debbie Allen is still gettin' it on the dance floor with her ex-NBA husband Norm Nixon. Norm played 12 seasons of pro hoops and Debbie's been a dancing star for decades -- so, who do you think had the better moves at her weekend white party? The dance-off went down on a yacht in Marina del Rey. Debbie threw the bash for her non-profit Debbie Allen Dance Academy -- but all the students had to step and watch the couple's spotlight dance to Drake's "One Dance." Debbie tells us she wanted to "bring joy to the kids by showing them we still got it." Mission accomplished. "Fame" can't be 30 years old, right?!! (TMZ)

Mila Kunis surprised everyone with a noticeably shorter hairdo at the Bad Moms premiere in New York City on Monday. The pregnant actress not only looked stunning in a dark navy jumpsuit, but she also rocked a faux bob on the red carpet. It appeared Kunis, 32, looped her curled brunette tresses up and under to give her a styled casual updo. Couple of loose curled strands gave her overall hair transformation a romantic feel. Just a couple weeks ago, the mother of one was spotted leaving a Los Angeles salon with her signature long flowing mane. In addition, the star attended a special Bad Moms screening earlier this month sporting medium-length hair. Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively on June 15 about their second pregnancy. The new addition will join the former That '70s Show costars' daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 20 months. Bad Moms hits theaters July 29. (People)

Kim Kardashian is commanding nearly $1 million for appearances. According to a source, the reality star got paid $700,000 to take selfies with Instagram stars this weekend in the Hamptons. Kardashian, who was flown in and out by private jet, turned, on Saturday, where she posed with "influencers" for a little over an hour. While Kardashian's rep didn't comment, organizers said they forked out between half a million and a million for her. Kardashian also had 25 bodyguards on hand to protect her. Meanwhile, in direct contrast, the former King of Spain Juan Carlos was spotted dining with sugar baron Pepe Fanjul at Topping Rose House on Friday -- with no security in sight. (Page Six)

Kat Von D "Disassociates" Herself from Former BFF Jeffree Star -- This Sounds Brutal! Looks like there's another Kim Kardashian/Taylor Swift-esque feud brewing! Tattoo artist Kat Von D and MySpace personality Jeffree Star are going at it, after years of friendship that benefited both parties professionally. The inked up reality TV star took to her Instagram page Monday night, posting a picture of Star with a giant red strike out through it. "After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree's inappropriate behavior (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying) I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events," she wrote in the comments. "I know that over the years, many of you were introduced to Jeffree through me, and regardless if you chose to continue to follow him or not, I just would like to disassociate myself from him and his brand from this point on." This won't be the last we hear about this feud, as Kat promised to post "a video explanation as to why I felt compelled to make such a statement," hopefully sometime soon. "But for the time being, I simply want to apologize to anybody and everybody who has ever had to deal with any of his negativity," she continued. "And yes, with a heavy heart, I will be pulling the shade 'Jeffree' from my collection. Sending extra love to everyone out there." The "shade" she's talking about from her liquid lipstick line, one of which she named after Star in 2014. While we await more details from Kat, Jeffree took to his Twitter page to fight back against her accusations. (Too Fab)

One unlucky Grammy celeb was supposed to get draped in $15 million worth of Chopard jewelry -- but got stiffed when a delivery guy went rogue and lost all the loot ... according to a new lawsuit. The Swiss watchmaker and jewelry company says it hired Ferrari Express, Inc. -- no relation to the sports cars -- to transport and safeguard the merchandise back in February ... on the night before the Grammys. According to the lawsuit, Ferrari's guy decided to take a very costly detour. Chopard says he allegedly brought the van home and parked it on the street -- WITH $15 MILLION in jewels still inside -- in a neighborhood where "vehicle thefts are common." Genius. Naturally, the van and all its contents were gone in the morning. Chopard says Ferrari Express refuses to pay up, so it's suing for the $15 million and then some. Major bummer for some celeb though. (TMZ)

Gov. Chris Christie was apparently uninterested in watching Donald Trump and Mike Pence's "60 Minutes" interview. While on a flight to Cleveland to attend the Republican National Convention, Christie flew first class, a spy told us, and was "watching sports or some game show. Half of the TVs were tuned to the interview, but he wasn't interested." Christie endorsed Trump in February and was hoping to be his veep pick. He's reportedly miffed that Trump chose Pence, but sang Pence's praises on Monday by saying, through gritted teeth, "Pence is a great guy. And I am really relieved that Donald Trump picked a governor to be his running mate." (Page Six)

Move over Jojo Moyes, Adele wants to release a book. The 28-year-old singer says one of her ambitions is to learn how to write a piece of fiction but admits she is unsure what the topic would be as of yet. Speaking to the crowd at her Chicago concert, she said: "I'd like to write a book. I mean, I'm not very great at stuff like that but I'd like to learn and try to write a book. Fiction. I don't know what about yet." We were kind of hoping for an autobiography, but y'know, baby steps and all that. We can just imagine it: Boy meets girl, boy breaks girl's heart, girl moves on but they meet up ten years later when she calls him up to say hello. The book writing process could be difficult for Adele as she previously admitted she is only creative when she's "momentarily depressed". Speaking about her post break-up routine, she explained: "I mope around for a little while. I do embrace the fact that I'm heartbroken. I don't move on quickly. I don't know if that's because it seems that I'm only really creative when I'm a bit momentarily depressed." (British Glamour)

Will.i.am put together a "We Are the World" type project involving Snoop Dogg, and it's a direct response to the national crisis over police shootings and police brutality. The song is a remix of the Black Eyed Peas' huge 2003 hit, "Where Is the Love?" Sources connected to the project tell us Will decided this was the perfect time because of what's happened in Baton Rouge, Minnesota, Dallas and other cities across the country. We're told Snoop is rapping on the track, and several other artists are contributing too. Right now they're shooting a music video. It's unclear when the song will drop. Quick refresher on the lyrics -- they're as relevant as ever ... (TMZ)

Miranda Lambert Releases First Single Since Blake Shelton Divorce: Read the Most Revealing "Vice" Lyrics. Miranda Lambert is ready to share some new music! Almost two years after the release of her album titled Platinum, the country singer treated fans to a brand-new track called "Vice." Written by Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Miranda herself, the down-tempo track features lyrics that will have fans singing along in their cowboy hats and boots sooner rather than later. "Another vice, another call, another bed I shouldn't crawl out of," she sings in the song. "At 7 a.m, with shoes in my hand said I wouldn't do it, but I did it again / And I know I'll be back tomorrow night." "Sweet salvation on a dining room table / Waiting on me, where the numb meets the lonely," she also sings. "It's gone before it ever melts the ice." Country music and a nice cold beer? Call us totally in. While Miranda hasn't released new music in a while, that doesn't mean she has been absent from the country scene. In addition to writing fresh tunes and performing at some of the biggest awards shows, the 32-year-old has also found love with fellow singer Anderson East. "Miranda adores Anderson. They understand each other," a source recently shared with E! News. "Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn't felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers." And for those who can't get enough of Miranda's voice, you are in luck. The singer is headlining her Keeper of the Flame Tour as well as supporting Kenny Chesney's Spread the Love Tour all summer long. (Eonline)

Performers for ComplexCon's second night will be announced at a later date. (Billboard)

Ice Cube refuses to stop performing N.W.A.'s legendary anti-police anthem -- despite all the recent shootings of police officers -- and his reasoning is pretty simple. "F*** tha Police" caused a ton of trouble for Cube and N.W.A. when it was released in 1988 ... but after the attacks on cops in Dallas and Baton Rouge, we asked Cube if it would come off his playlist ... at least for now. Remember, the track includes lyrics like ... "I'm a sniper with a hell of a scope. Taking out a cop or two, they can't cope with me." (TMZ)

Brandy claims the contract she signed with Chameleon Entertainment is like a ball and chain, and she has filed a lawsuit to break the shackles. The singer has been signed to the record label since 2011 and claims in the lawsuit they promised her hundreds of thousands of dollars in production costs to make her albums. Brandy says that didn't happen after the first album. Brandy claims the label actually tried to prevent her from recording and releasing new music, which she says put her career in jeopardy. According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the record label tried to pressure her into giving up her non-recording avenues of including concerts and Broadway shows. Brandy's lawyer says in the lawsuit, "Brandy Norwood's story is 'Kesha Redux, but without the sex." As you know, Kesha also referred to her contract as slavery. Brandy filed a similar lawsuit in L.A. back in March ... the latest lawsuit was filed in NYC. She wants out of the contract and hundreds of thousands of dollars she claims they owe her for pay or play fees. (TMZ)

Justin Timberlake, Will.i.am Move to Dismiss 'Damn Girl' Copyright Suit. "Damn Girl" sampled "A New Day is Here At Last" legally and the heir of a disco composer doesn't have standing to sue Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am (Will Adams) for copyright infringement, according to a Monday court filing. PK Music Publishing sued Timberlake and Adams in February, claiming "Damn Girl" copies the hook, rhythm, harmony and melody from "A New Day Is Here At Last" by disco artist Perry Kibble. Kibble's sister Janis McQuinton claims she inherited the copyright in the work, which her brother filed in 1969 -- the same year the song was recorded by J.C. Davis. "Damn Girl" was released in 2006 and McQuinton, through PK, is seeking damages from that date until the present, arguing she didn't know about the infringement until 2015. In a memorandum supporting a motion to dismiss, Adams' attorney Robert Jacobs points out that there's no case law to support McQuinton's demand for more than a decade of damages. "Plaintiff's lawsuit seeks to turn Supreme Court precedent and four decades of unbroken Second Circuit law on their head," writes Jacobs." Just 21 months before Plaintiff commenced this action, the Supreme Court unequivocally stated that copyright plaintiffs are limited to 'retrospective relief only three years back from the time of suit.'" Statute of limitations aside, the motion's footnotes contain salient defenses that will be hard for McQuinton's suit to overcome. "Plaintiff ignores the fact that ... before Damn Girl's release, Defendants sought and obtained mechanical and sample use licenses for Day's use from J.C. Davis, who admittedly had originally recorded and released Day in 1969 ... and from Josh Davis who released a remix of the 1969 recording with J.C. Davis's permission in 2005 on an album identifying J.C. Davis as the composition's sole copyright owner," states one. Another footnote says McQuinton's delay in discovering the claim is implausible. In addition to licensing Day from Davis, both the FutureSex/LoveSounds album credits and the copyright registration for "Damn Girl" state the duo's hit samples "A New Day Is Here At Last." "This background points to a series of public repudiations of McQuinton's supposed ownership rights in Day that she never challenged," writes Jacobs in the second footnote. "Her failure to do so (within three years of the repudiations or otherwise) prevents Plaintiff from establishing its ownership rights in the work, and, thus, its standing to pursue its purported claims." Even if the court finds PK's lawsuit timely, Jacobs argues any claims prior to February 17, 2013 fail as a matter of law and should be dismissed with prejudice. (Billboard)

Donald Trump's triumphant entrance at the RNC to Queen's anthem was never approved by Queen ... TMZ has learned. Trump walked onstage to "We are The Champions," but a rep for Sony Music ATV -- which owns publishing rights on the song -- tells us the Trump campaign never asked nor were they given permission to use the song. Trump also used 'Champions' last month, and Queen's Brian May came out firing, saying he would never give permission to use the song because the band never wanted it used for politics. Queen just released a statement, calling Trump's move, "An unauthorized use at the Republican Convention against our wishes." It's unclear at this time if Sony ATV plans to take legal action. (TMZ)

Los del Rio Team With Gente de Zona for 'Macarena' Remake in Cuba. The "Macarena" is getting a Cuban makeover in a new video of the song shot in Havana. Los Del Rƭo, the Southern Spanish duo responsible for the international novelty hit that incited G-rated hip swiveling and shouts of "ay" in the mid-nineties, were in Havana on Monday (July 18) to make the video with Cuban hitmakers Gente de Zona, who've collaborated on a new version of the song with a tropical beat. The video features local female dancers giving "Macarena" some Cuban flavor, according to a report in the Havana-based online music magazine Vistar. Vintage convertibles, a bicycle taxi and familiar city landmarks make appearances. The clip comes after the artists came together to debut the song on last week's Premios Juventud awards show. Titled "MƔs Macarena" ("More Macarena"), it has since been released on digital services. Los Del Rio's Antonio Romero and Rafael Ruiz have previously put out seven versions of "Macarena," originally released in 1993 with a celebratory flamenco rumba beat. The 1994 "Bayside Boys Mix" caught fire in 1995, and in 1996 it spent 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track came in No. 2 on Billboard's list of Hot 100 Hits of the 1990s. In 2002, it was ranked the #1 Greatest One-Hit Wonder of all Time by VH1. According to the group's website, the song has sold some 14 million copies worldwide. Romero and Ruiz celebrated the 50th anniversary of their musical career in 2015. The natives of a small town outside of Seville -- where they still reside -- first performed together on a radio show in 1962 when they were 14 years old. While in Cuba, the artists referred to the song as "revolutionary." "The 'Macarena' doesn't stop, it's a revolutionary song in every way and that's why it doesn't die," Los del Rio told Vistar. (As Spaniards, Antonio Romero and Rafael Ruiz have no regulatory issues related to the U.S. embargo to consider when working in Cuba,) They said reaching the half-century mark as performers spurred them to record a current version of the song, with new energy brought by Gente de Zona. The Cuban duo has had a string of hit collaborations with Enrique Iglesias ("Bailando") and Marc Anthony ("La Gozadera" and "Traidora"). They punch up the song with an easy reggaeton beat, and add new lyrics, like the line "I want to die in Cuba dancing the Macarena." Whether other people are as excited about reliving the moment in the '90s when the song played from every radio station and public place remains to be seen. And could the video be as seductive as the original? Given the addition of Gente de Zona, the song's track record, and the seduction of all things made in Cuba lately, this unexpected entry is making a bid for Latin song of the summer. (Billboard)

Drake's Chart Dominance, Streaming, and Why Album Sales Aren't What They Used to Be: Guest Analysis. Album sales aren't what they used to be. Sales numbers have fallen as the playlist and the stream has become a more valuable currency. Nor do album sales have the same impact on the charts. Since streams count toward Billboard's album chart, streaming often helps determine where an artist lands. Drake's album Views and its 9-week run atop the album chart reveal music's new paradigm: streaming doesn't just complement purchases, it can far exceed purchases. While album and track purchases initially put Views atop the chart, streams were a major factor in giving the album the third-longest run at No. 1 for a hip-hop album, behind MC Hammer's Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em (21 weeks) and Vanilla Ice's To The Extreme (16 weeks). The Torontonian's two-month span at No. 1 got off with bang, debuting with album purchases of 852,000 units and another 188,000 equivalent album units (EAUs) for a total of 1.04 million (album equivalent) units. (Billboard uses EAUs to convert tracks and streams into albums at the rates of 10 for digital tracks and 1,500 for streams.) Album purchases fell 79.5 percent and total purchases (albums plus tracks converted into album units) fell 75 percent. Predictable but, still, ouch. Streaming was initially overshadowed by sales of Views -- but that didn't last long. At the services tracked by Nielsen Music? -- ?Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube, among others, but not Pandora? -- ?streams from Views accounted for just 15.7 percent of EAUs in week one. After purchases dropped 79.5 percent in week two, streaming represented 37.3 percent of EAUs. But streaming took over in week three when, for the first time, streaming equivalent units (streams/1,500) of 124,000 exceeded purchases (albums + tracks/10) of 115,000 units. Streaming went on to drive the majority of consumption for the rest of Views' nine-week run and outweighed purchases anywhere from 30 percent (weeks 4 and 8) to 129 percent (week 7). When Views returned to the No. 1 spot two weeks later, streaming accounted for 63 percent of the album's 92,000 EAUs. The chart impact is undeniable. Views probably would have dropped from No. 1 if not for its performance at streaming services. The No. 2 album twice had more album purchases than Views, in weeks five (country star Dierks Bentley's Black) and eight (rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers' The Getaway), but ended up with fewer EAUs (The Getaway was just 6,000 units behind). In weeks six and seven, the runner-up albums (former No. 1 album Beyonce's Lemonade and Nick Jonas's Last Year Was Complicated) nearly matched Views' purchases but ended up with about half the EAUs (135,000 to 69,000 for Lemonade and 121,000 and 66,000 for Last Year Was Complicated). During its nine-week run, Views received a steady number of spins on Pandora. Views peaked at 35.5 million in week three, fell gently in week four, and settled into a consistent groove between 27 million and 29 million from weeks five to nine. Although they're not counted for Nielsen's chart purposes, Pandora spins would have given Views an even more comfortable seat atop the chart. In the third week, when streaming overtook purchases, Pandora spins would have amounted to 9.6 percent of EAUs (at the standard 1,500-to-1 conversion rate). By week nine, Pandora spins accounted for 16.6 percent of EAUs? -- ?that's one in six units. In the first half of 2016, album sales fell 13.6 percent and track sales dropped 23.9 percent from 2015, according to Nielsen Music (its competitor, BuzzAngle, reported almost the same numbers). Only because of the 58.7-percent gain in streams did music consumption post a gain. Even a hit album like Views needs a shoulder to lean on. (Billboard)

'Star Trek Beyond' Review: Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana Prove Why the Franchise Is Still 'Out of This World'. 3 stars (out of 4) Star log, 2016: The summer movie season is littered with tired sequels nobody asked for. Only a talking blue fish has earned blockbuster street cred. Something called a Pokemon is a breakout star. Now potential salvation has come in the form of Star Trek Beyond (opening Friday July 22), the third installment in seven years. To use a trite-but-apt phrase, it doesn't go where no Star Trek film has gone before. But it is freewheeling enough to entertain a casual moviegoer -- and faithful enough to please a Comic-Con nerd. The crew of the Enterprise, including Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Scotty (Simon Pegg, also a co-screenwriter), Sulu (John Cho), Bones (Karl Urban) and Chekov (the late Anton Yelchin), are three years into their five-year exploratory mission. And, as Kirk explains, everyone is suffering from a serious case of malaise. Spock and Uthura (Zoe Saldana) have split up. (It turns out Vulcans aren't dashing romantics.) Kirk wants to give up his title. They're all desperate for an adventure. While stationed at a sleek star base called Yorktown, they get one. An endangered female alien sends a distress call and reports that her ship's crew has been taken hostage. They decide to rescue her on a faraway planet, unaware they're being lured into a trap. The resident tyrant named Krall (a menacing, unrecognizable Idris Elba), you see, longs to get his slithery hands on an ancient chemical weapon -- that happens to be in Kirk's possession. His end goal: to start a war because he believes peace fosters weakness. He has ulterior motives as well, but they're of the spoiler variety. That ho-hum premise falls more in line with, say, a first-rate TV episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation than an epic two-hour film. Trekkies will be the first to rave that their beloved saga excels at posing deep philosophical ideas and wringing human pathos in outer space. A vengeful-dude-wants-to-destroy-the-world plot essentially describes the story line of 99 percent of all testosterone-fueled action flicks. Where's the originality? The crew even repeats the same variation of a rescue operation multiple times. No wonder director Justin Lin (taking over for J.J. Abrams) packs in a barrage of noisy special effects -- only one of which qualifies as a true mouth-agape dazzler. (You'll know it when you see it.) Lin is a veteran of the Fast & Furious franchise, and his overt rock 'em–sock 'em sensibilities are evident in every set piece. Indeed, one sequence in which Pine takes charge by riding a 20th-century motorcycle might as well have been a deleted scene from Furious 7. Though it's only fair to also credit Lin with a soundtrack that thumps with Public Enemy and an ol' Beastie Boys favorite. Yet for all the state-of-the-art CGI spectacles, the movie's strength lies in its vintage characters. They're as fierce and funny as ever. For most of the second act, the splintered crew must partner off and problem solve. This is a rare opportunity for the supporting players to shine -- especially Yelchin's quick-thinking Chekhov. Bones and Spock, meanwhile, are a more potent comedy pairing than Kevin Hart and The Rock. Quips the doctor to his confused Vulcan cohort in the wake of his breakup: "If an Earth girl says, 'It's me, not you,' it's definitely you!" (Bones sneers because he cares, dammit!) This is the 50th anniversary of the original Star Trek series, and a disappointing installment would have been an intergalactic disaster. But this is a worthy chapter indeed. And perhaps it's only fitting that the most indelible moment of all is a respectful nod to the past. The scene is not only poignant, but it truly captures why this legendary franchise remains out of this world. (US Weekly)

A NEW trailer for The Girl On The Train has been released and we are VERY VERY excited. Will it live up to our high expectations? Scroll down to watch the latest trailer and be prepared because it's terrifying... The film, directed by Tate Taylor (The Help, Get on Up), stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux, Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Edgar Ramirez and Allison Janney, is based on Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel, The Girl on the Train. Emily Blunt plays Rachel, a rather unusual protagonist - described as an overweight alcoholic who makes infuriatingly bad decisions, including getting fired from her job and still undergoing the daily mundane London commute so that her concerned housemate doesn't find out. Author of The Girl On The Train, AKA last year's GLAMOUR Awards Winner Paula Hawkins, wasn't involved in the screenplay adaption personally - but her plot (which is full of exciting twists and turns - Gone Girl style) is in good hands. In photos of Emily on set however, she looked a far cry from her usual glamorous appearance - sporting a dowdy over-sized grey coat and an equally as grey vacant facial expression. No doubt this is to capture Rachel's very bleak outlook on life, which eventually runs her into a bit of trouble. Featuring alongside Emily Blunt will be Rebecca Ferguson as Anna, the former mistress/now wife of Rachel's ex-husband, while Hayley Bennett (Marley & Me) plays missing Megan. Jennifer Aniston's husband Justin Theroux plays Tom, the ex-husband of Emily Blunt's character, and Friends star Lisa Kudrow plays concerned housemate Monica. Luke Evans plays the role of Scott, the husband of missing Megan. The Girl On The Train movie release date is set for 7 October 2016. (British Glamour)

Ava DuVernay's Prison Doc to Open New York Film Festival. 'The 13th' will then debut on Netflix and open in a limited theatrical run on Oct. 7. Ava DuVernay's film The 13th is set to open the New York Film Festival. The Selma director's new documentary examines the horrors of mass incarceration and the prison industry in the U.S, as well as how the U.S. has produced the highest rate of incarceration in the world, with the majority of those imprisoned being African-American. It traces a pattern of fear and division behind mass criminalization. from D. W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation (1915) and the rebirth of the KKK to the Civil Rights Movement, the 1994 Crime Bill, the rise of ALEC, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Its title refers to the Constitution's 13th Amendment: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States..." After its world premiere at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, the title will then debut on Netflix and open in a limited theatrical run on Oct. 7. "It is a true honor for me and my collaborators to premiere The 13th as the opening night selection of the New York Film Festival," said DuVernay in a statement. "This film was made as an answer to my own questions about how and why we have become the most incarcerated nation in the world, how and why we regard some of our citizens as innately criminal, and how and why good people allow this injustice to happen generation after generation." The Film Society of Lincoln Center's announcement on Tuesday marks the first time the festival will open with a nonfiction work. "While I was watching The 13th, the distinction between documentary and fiction gave way and I felt like I was experiencing something so rare: direct contact between the artist and right now, this very moment," said Kent Jones, New York Film Festival Director and selection committee chair. "In fact, Ava is actually trying to redefine the terms on which we discuss where we're at, how we got here, and where we're going. The 13th is a great film. It's also an act of true patriotism." The 54th annual New York Film Festival runs Sept. 30 through Oct. 16. (Hollywood Reporter)

The festival's lineup is expected to be announced August 23. The Deauville Film Festival will run Sept. 2 –Sept. 11. (Hollywood Reporter)

Netflix's Making a Murderer Returning With New Episodes About Steven Avery. Making a Murderer isn't over. Netflix has announced it will stream new episodes of the documentary series from directors and executive producers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos. "We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response to, and support of, the series. The viewers' interest and attention has ensured that the story is not over, and we are fully committed to continuing to document events as they unfold" Ricciardi and Demos said in a joint statement. According to a press release, the new episodes will take fans "back inside the story of convicted murderer Steven Avery, and his co-defendant, Brendan Dassey, as their respective investigative and legal teams challenge their convictions and the State fights to have the convictions and life sentences upheld." The first batch of episodes, which captured audiences and became a pop culture phenomenon, recently picked up six Emmy nominations. The series followed Avery's story and his trial for the murder of Teresa Halbach as well as his subsequent appeals. Nickelodeon Introduces First Same-Sex Married Cartoon Couple on Loud House. Nickelodeon's Loud House is making history. E! News has confirmed Loud House, the network's new animated series, features the network's first same-sex married couple. The characters are voiced by Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald. The series follows 11-year-old Lincoln and his chaotic life with 10 sisters. It was inspired by creator Chris Savino's life growing up in a big family. Lincoln's best pal, Clyde, has two dads. The two characters are featured in the clip, which appropriately features Lincoln (Grant Palmer) declaring "Time to make history!" Sure it was about his sleepover, but you know how cartoons love a good wink to the audience. The voice cast for Loud House also includes Caleel Harris as Clyde McBride, Catherine Taber as Lori, Liliana Mumy as Leni, Nika Futterman as Luna, Cristina Pucelli as Luan, Jessica DiCicco as Lynn and Lucy, Grey Griffin as Lola, Lana and Lily and Lara Jill Miller as Lisa. Look for the episode to air on Wednesday, July 20 at 5 p.m. on Nickelodeon. Gay characters on animated shows targeted to children are still relatively new. They're often hinted at, like in Legend of Korra, but not explicitly stated. Of course shows that transcend, like The Simpsons and South Park, have had LGBT characters for years. (Eonline)

Briana's Health Scare Puts All the Real Housewives of Orange County Drama Into Perspective. The hits just keep on coming for Vicki Gunvalson. Not only was she unable to win over former friend Shannon Beador with one of her patented faux-pologies, full of circular logic and continued insults, as she progressed to the next stop on her "Brooks Ayers faked cancer, not me" apology tour on the night's new episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but she was also forced to watch helplessly as daughter (and continued RHOC voice of reason) Briana Wolfsmith had one hell of a health scare. And we've got to be honest -- it made all the other nonsense going on in the episode seem petty and small AF. Shannon planning a '70s-themed party? Wake us when we're actually there. (No, really, please do. That preview for next week looked INSANE.) Kelly Dodd's brother quizzing her daughter on state capitals? Zzzz. Heather Dubrow reminding us yet again that her husband works more than she'd like? Like we said, not all storylines were created equal Monday night. We watched Vicki's waking nightmare begin as she rushed home, responding to a phone call from Briana complaining that she couldn't breathe. And this was no simple asthma attack. Of what little of Briana's distress we actually saw (the crew was respectful enough to keep their cameras off Briana during much of the ordeal, giving the situation the distance it truly deserved), this was one scary scene. She appeared to be violently sobbing, but she was in fact gasping for air. "She says she is not going to make it," Vicki recounted of her attempt to drive her daughter to the hospital. "She is, like, passing out in front of me." The situation proved to be too dire, however, and Vicki pulled over into a gas station to call 911 and get Briana some immediate medical attention. In a weird twist of fate, as Tamra Judge called her son Ryan's ex-fiancee Sarah to tell her about what she'd heard as she was on the phone Vicki, Sarah realized she was in the exact same gas station parking lot. This proved to be a blessing in disguise, as Sarah followed Vicki home to keep an eye on Briana's little boys so Vicki could hightail it to the hospital. "Jesus did that! He did that," Tamra exclaimed in an interview. "It's not a coincidence." After a night in the hospital with a 103.6 fever that wouldn't break, the doctors were able to determine that Briana's lymph nodes in her chest were so enlarged that they were compressing her lungs, making her unable to breathe. Unfortunately, the source of the infection, the root of the issue, remains a mystery, meaning Briana and Vicki are in for a season full of tests and surgeries. Suddenly, winning back old friends doesn't seem so important. The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. (Eonline)

'Agents of SHIELD' Season 4: What Is a Life Model Decoy? THR dives deep into the history of the major theme of the upcoming season of ABC's Marvel series: Life Model Decoys, or LMDs. To get an understanding of what's coming up in season four of ABC's Agents of SHIELD, you actually have to look back through the history of Marvel. While most of the immediate season three finale cliffhangers centered around Daisy (Chloe Bennet), Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons) and the fallout of Hive's (Brett Dalton) death, the bigger theme that season four is poised to explore is the idea of Life Model Decoys. After the flash forward scene six months into the future, the Agents of SHIELD season three finale featured a very telling tag with Dr. Radcliffe (John Hannah) bringing his A.I. named AIDA to life in a humanoid figure. "Radcliffe has a good heart, but he's willing to do anything for science," executive producer Jed Whedon told THR at the time. "He's excited about the prospect. He said Fitz [Iain De Caestecker] and Simmons [Elizabeth Henstridge] had friends die and maybe they didn't have to. He's clearly opening a box. Whether or not it's Pandora's box, we'll see." Executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen confirmed that the tag would be the major season-long theme of season four, adding, "To someone like Radcliffe, he might believe that to be just the next step in human evolution. There are a number of people who are into body modification now, so what does that mean? What's the root of that? Now we are going to dive deeper into this man, Radcliffe, who is into that endeavor." "He thinks there's something beyond humans. What that will turn into, we'll have to wait and see," Whedon said. "We've talked about what are the differences between people with powers and people without powers and I think our show started as not all heroes are super because we were about the little guy who doesn't have powers. Now, some of our people do have powers and some of them don't. Next year, with the advances in technology, we might be asking the question of, 'If you can have this, do you want it?' And a little bit of be careful what you wish for. That's about as specific as we can get." With Agents of SHIELD set to explore the concept of Life Model Decoys next season, what exactly is a LMD? The simple answer is that LMDs are robots. But the more complicated answer is that LMDs are a cross between A.I.s, robots and clones. The LMDs are designed specifically with a person in mind so that the robot can essentially take someone's place as a kind of body double, most commonly used for protection of an important figure like politicians or superheroes. In fact, LMDs are so life-like that they can fool even the toughest of tests, like fingerprints, hair samples, retina scanners, voice recognition and even thought patterns if someone was trying to read their mind. But LMDs are also a step up from being a regular clone, as they can also possess superhuman strength, speed and quick healing via the use of nanites. They can act autonomously, or they can be controlled by their owner. Most LMDs are created with good intentions, but sometimes, something can go wrong. And that's when things get dicey. One very explosive instance of an LMD going dark is Jake Fury, aka Nick Fury's brother. In Secret Warriors #26, when the Fury brothers discovered the technology that would give birth to LMDs, Jake was accidentally duplicated into the first LMD ever created. His LMD later had a complete mental breakdown, to the point where he forgot he was a LMD and became the villain known as Scorpio. He then stole a LMD of his brother Nick and reprogrammed it to become Max Fury. Max also believed he was a real person, and not a LMD, since he had been programmed with all of Nick's memories and thoughts. Understandably, this caused a lot of problems for both Nick and all of SHIELD. But at least SHIELD was able to reverse-engineer the technology that duplicated Jake to create their own LMDs, and they have been a staple of the MCU ever since that first appearance in 1965's Strange Tales #135. The most common LMD featured in the comics is Nick Fury himself, as he uses them constantly to infiltrate enemy organizations, throw would-be attackers off his scent or carry out secret missions without fear of risking of his own life. But Fury is hardly the only MCU character to use LMDs. Others include Captain America, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Bucky, Deadpool, Dum Dum Dugan, Iron Man, Glenn Talbot and Maria Hill. It's interesting to note that while it seems as though Dr. Radcliffe is going to be the first person to successfully bring a LMD to life in the MCU, this isn't the first time that LMDs have been referenced. Back in The Avengers, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) tried to pull a prank on Coulson and avoid his phone call by claiming to be "Tony Stark's Life Model Decoy" instead. But it could have just been that Stark was playing a joke, pretending to be technology that was only a theory at the time. And on Agents of SHIELD, many viewers first believed that Patton Oswalt's multiple roles as the Koenig brothers were actually LMDs themselves, but it looks like this theory can finally be put to bed as LMDs hadn't been created yet. Sometimes, the explanation for something in the Marvel universe can be as simple as twin brothers. Are you excited to see LMDs finally come to life on Agents of SHIELD? TV Ratings: RNC Kickoff With Melania Trump Is Only OK for Broadcast Nets. NBC News leads the Big Four during the first night in Cleveland. The Republican National Convention is off and running in Cleveland, and early Nielsen returns have the first night of the four-day event performing just so-so in early returns. Presumptive nominee Donald Trump, introducing wife Melania Trump and her now-controversial speech, was easily the biggest name to grace the Quicken Loans Arena stage -- following a motley cavalcade that included Scott Baio, Antonio Sabato Jr., Rudy Giuliani and a member of the Duck Dynasty cast. Among the broadcast networks, the first night's primetime coverage crown goes to NBC News. The network, one of three of the Big Four with a news reporting from Cleveland, averaged just more than 4 million viewers during the 10 p.m. ET hour. ABC News followed with 3.5 million viewers, while CBS News trailed with 2.6 million. That's a total 10.1 million viewers for the broadcast networks, a relatively soft start for the convention. NBC News also skewed the youngest, averaging a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. If you're looking for an early comparison to 2008 or 2012, you'll have to wait until the numbers for Tuesday night come in. The big GOP gathering has been plagued by weather interruptions during the last two presidential elections. Night one of the 2008 RNC was largely sidelined by media coverage of Hurricane Gustav. And the first night of the 2012 event was essentially nixed as Hurricane Isaac passed by the Miami location. Across all cable and broadcast networks, and excluding the curtailed kickoff, the 2012 RNC pulled 24.8 million viewers a night. That was down significantly from 2008, when the three-night average was 32.5 million viewers. All convention coverage, particularly the Republicans', tends to skew older. Lest we all forget 2012, when an original episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo topped any single network's coverage of the RNC among adults 18-49. (Times have changed.) One person who saw an early boost from the coverage is Stephen Colbert. The Late Show host saw his CBS series hit its youngest showing in five months and edged past his competition among households -- per Nielsen's metered markets. Fox News Channel, CNN and MSNBC all certainly received some serious lifts of their own from the RNC, and those numbers will arrive later Tuesday morning. It's a strange business, adding all of the respective coverage together to find one gross audience number. And in that, the night's counter-programming can get lost in the shuffle. That said, The Bachelorette lead Monday with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers -- easily a greater number than any individual RNC telecast. The media circus around the 2016 election, starting with the record-shattering GOP debate nearly a year ago, breathed new excitement into convention coverage. And the bar for convention-watching is incredibly high. 2008 saw both the RNC and the DNC swell to nearly 40 million simultaneous viewers in their respective fourth nights -- culminated in then Senator Obama delivering his acceptance of the nomination to a 84,000-strong crowd gathered at Denver's Invesco Field at Mile High.
