ON THIS DAY

On this date in 1794 Sylvester Graham was born. He developed the Graham Cracker. Did you know that the food granola was originally called "granula" and was made of smashed-up rebaked Graham Crackers.

In 1811, Venezuela became the first South American country to declare its independence from Spain. Pretty brave thing to do when you're 4,000 miles away.

On this date in 1865, William Booth established the Salvation Army in London. If their name doesn't sound familiar, by the holiday season, it will ring a bell.

On this date in 2016 Edward Snowden gets a nod and wink from the FBI Director clearing the way for him to be Hillary Clinton's running mate. They both pledge to change America One Classified Email At A Time! :)
