Signal activation on SR 69 in Humboldt delayed until next month

Drivers traveling on State Route 69 and Main Street in Humboldt (milepost 279) have probably noticed the new signal at the intersection that was installed last month. As of today, the new signal has not been activated due to equipment delays for electrical materials.

Crews are hopeful to receive the equipment and have the signal activated mid-August.

This $329,000 project c
onsists of installation of new traffic signal system, construction of new sidewalk, sidewalk ramps, pavement markings and drainage improvements.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
