Celine Dion Reveals Late Husband Rene Angelil Is the Only Man She Has Ever Kissed Romantically. Celine Dion's heart and love for Rene Angelil will continue to go on. Almost 10 months after the death of her husband, "The Power of Love" singer may be back performing in Las Vegas. But in between each and every sold-out show, the proud mom is thinking about her partner. "Before he left, it was very, very difficult for all of us," Celine shared with CBS News this weekend. "For me especially, and my children, to see the man of my life die a little bit more every day. And when he left, it was kind of a relief for me that the man that I love, the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved. Yeah. I never kissed another man in my life." She continued, "So the man of my life was my partner, and we were one. So when he stopped suffering, I said to myself, he's okay. And he deserves not to suffer." Celine was just 12 years old when she was introduced to Rene by her mother. What started off as a professional relationship -- he served as Celine's manager -- also turned romantic leading to a lavish wedding in 1994. They were married for more than 20 years before Rene passed away from throat cancer in January. While the grieving process continues, Celine has been able to return to the stage of The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. In fact, she celebrated her 1,000 performance at the venue Saturday evening. "Back in 2003, when I began performing in this newly built theatre, little did we know we were going to reach such an incredible number of shows," Celine said. "Thank you Rene who had this vision and shared the journey with me and thank you to the four million fans who made this possible by choosing music as their international language." During her open and honest chat with CBS News' Mo Rocca, Celine was also asked if she hopes to fall in love again anytime in the future. Her answer may just surprise some fans. "Not now. Unh-uh," she revealed. "I love. I love. I love him. I'm still in love with him. And I have the love of my children. I have the love of my fans. I love the people that I work with. So my life is not empty of love." Celine added, "But there's a song from Sia, 'I go to sleep and imagine that you're there with me.' And I go to bed with him. And I come on stage with him. And so I'm still married to him." (Eonline)
Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Motherhood: "Sometimes I Feel Guilty That This Is My Son's Life." Carrie Underwood is overwhelmed. The country songstress and mom to son Isaiah has learned a couple of things since becoming a mom, but the most important lesson she has taken away is not to be afraid to ask for a hand every now and then. Carrie is Redbook's November cover star, and she opens up to the magazine about not only how motherhood has changed her but also what she has learned since becoming a mom. "Ask for help. Accepting help is hard for me, but I'm learning," she says when asked about what advice she'd give working mothers. "Sometimes I feel guilty that this is my son's life: We live on a bus and we're in a hotel room and sometimes we're in the middle of nowhere and it's not so great. It's not all glamorous." But while Carrie admits she has a nanny to help out during those crazy times on the road, she confesses she prefers to do the heavy lifting herself when they family is at home. "We have a nanny who helps out, especially when we're on the road," she adds, "but I'd feel guilty asking someone to watch him at home while I run to the grocery store." Now that she and husband Mike Fisher are finally acclimated to being a family of three, would they ever consider having a second child? "If my husband were at the beginning of his career, I'm not sure we could handle it. Since he's kind of nearing the end and won't be traveling so much, we're like, 'We can figure it out for not that long.' You make it work," she explains. "When I was pregnant, I thought, 'How am I going to go on the road? How am I going to keep doing my job?' I had to just give it to God and stop worrying about it. Sure enough, we figured it out." While Carrie and Mike aren't decided on having another child, she can't help but gush about her son. "I definitely feel like it's changed me as a person. I'm happier. I'm in a better mood a lot of the time. He'll be watching cartoons and I'll be watching him. I'm completely in love," she coos. "I love it when he's sleepy and I get to hold him and smell him. He doesn't know I'm staring at him and being all googly-eyed!" Redbook hits newsstands on Oct. 18. (Eonline)
Here's How Kristin Cavallari Remains Unaffected By Any and All Mommy Shamers. Regardless of what the Internet trolls say, Kristin Cavallari knows that she is a good mom. As so many famous parents learn, people on social media are very quick to shame moms and dads for how they parent. But when it comes to Kristin, she's learned how to remain unaffected by all the unnecessary noise. "I've had people shame me for different things and I honestly don't care," she shared with E! News at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills. "I'm so confident in what I'm doing that it doesn't affect me." In fact, it's not her business skills or time in front of the camera that makes Kristin feel her best. Instead, it's being a hands-on mom to her children that gives her self-assurance. "Being a mom," she explained. "That's when I feel like I really came into my own and became the person I was always meant to be." The fashion designer and TV personality stepped out Saturday night for the annual charity event that supports battling childhood diabetes. Kristin's husband Jay Cutler is a type 1 diabetic making the cause "very near and dear to my heart." While she's more than happy to help such worthy causes, it's always hard not to be with her three children. "My mother-in-law thank god sends me photos and FaceTime helps a lot," she admitted. "When you're at home all day, you think your work suffers but when you're working you feel like you're missing out." As Kristin continues working on her newest venture -- a new cookbook -- plans are already underway for the family's Halloween celebrations. The businesswoman exclusively revealed to E! News that Sailor is going to be a white cat while Camden is going to be a Top Gun-esque pilot. As for Jaxson, he's going as a fire truck. "[The kids are] great. Sailor my daughter is turning one next month which is crazy. I can't believe it," she shared on the red carpet. "It's been really nice having a girl. She brings a calming energy to the house. She's balanced out the house and my boys are in school loving it." Sharon Stone, Jane Fonda, Jamie Foxx, Idina Menzel and Jay Leno were also in attendance for the charity event. (Eonline)
Hilary Duff's Son Gets the Car of His Dreams From Ellen DeGeneres for Halloween. When you want to be a bonafide Ghostbuster, you need the right car. Ellen DeGeneres understands. While having Hilary Duff on her daytime talk show, the host learned that the Younger star's 4-year-old son, Luca, is quite a fan of the summer blockbuster remake. "He wants to be a Ghostbuster this year," the actress said of her only son. "He's obsessed with Ghostbusters, obsessed with Slimer. He learned the whole song...it's so good. He's so serious about it, you guys." Duff wasn't joking. They proceeded to show footage of Luca belting out the song with such enthusiasm, you couldn't help but sing along. DeGeneres was so impressed by Luca's interest, she had a custom Ecto-1 made for the tot, complete with real steam flowing out of it. "He's going to freak out!" Duff said about the surprise. "Do I fit in this thing? It has steam coming out of it! He's going to lose his mind." The proud mom has been candid with E! News about all that being a mom means to her, particularly after growing up in the spotlight. "I've also been very honest about this that I don't know how much time I have to put into [music]. I don't have dreams to go on a world tour anymore," she admitted. "Maybe someday, but right now, my life is so full and busy enough with the show. I love music, it's in me, it's a part of me but I look at my kid and go you're a teenager already... It's scary to think time is going by so fast and I want to be present for all of that," she told E! in late September. "Honestly, I'm so pumped to be a soccer mom and making lunches to pack to school and not being on anybody else's schedule for a minute." While Duff still juggles the challenges of raising a youngster, she can't help but relish in the subtle, but special moments. "There's been a few challenges but he's, I guess how well he communicates and how funny he is and getting to see his imagination just kind of go wild, like when he's playing with his toys and I am cooking dinner or I'm hanging back and not necessarily like, all up in his business, to hear the stories he comes up with his toys, it's so imaginative," she told E! News. "It makes me like, so proud. I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, what's going on inside that little head of yours?' It's so sweet. He's really like, a kind boy, so I'm very lucky." (Eonline)
Gavin Rossdale Ready to "Move On" After Divorce From Gwen Stefani: "It's Like Enough Already." Gavin Rossdale is ready to put the past behind him. More than a year after the Bush band member and his wife Gwen Stefani filed for divorce, both parties continue to get asked about their relationship and the split. But in a new interview with The Sunday Times, Gavin sounds more than ready to move on once and for all. "It's like enough already. I've got to move on. Everyone has got to move on," he told the British newspaper. "For me, it's just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them." Gavin continued, "That's the driving force behind everything. You just have to ... I don't know. Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen." Just last month, the announcement was made that the rock star would be joining The Voice U.K. as a coach alongside fellow musicians Will.i.am., Jennifer Hudson and Tom Jones. "I'm so thrilled to be joining," he said in a statement when the news first broke. "I've always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can't wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent." And while the gig is certainly exciting, it's being a hands-on dad for his boys that will remain the priority. "They're the guys -- they're my replacements. The better versions of me," he shared with the publication via The Daily Mail. "I'm going to try and take all the things I've ever done wrong and keep them away from that." As for his ex-Gwen, she remains in a relationship with Blake Shelton. And when not hitting the road to support her newest solo album This Is What the Truth Feels Like, the performer is dedicated to co-parenting. Not surprising for a pair who voiced their commitment to raising their three children together in a "happy and healthy environment." (Eonline)
Many people were surprised to see pictures of Sean Penn kissing 24-year-old actress Leila George in Hawaii on Thursday -- not least his girlfriend. A source tells Page Six that Penn, 56, had been quietly dating a woman since the spring, and she believed that she and the star were in an exclusive relationship -- until she saw the steamy shots of Penn and George smooching in the Pacific. A pal of the scorned lover -- who is said to be "heartbroken" by the development and doesn't want to be named -- was in the midst of planning a visit to Ireland to see the actor on the set of his next movie, "The Professor and the Madman." Throughout their relationship, "it was calls, flowers, dinners, having her over to his house," said our source. "She was leery at first," said the pal, but eventually convinced that "maybe he's not this jerky-actor type." The source says the fling with George -- daughter of actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who's a year older than Penn -- proved her pal wrong. Penn has since gone public with George, taking her as his date to an art event back in LA. (Page Six)
Whoopi Goldberg is an EGOT and doesn't care about landing magazine covers anymore. The winner of every major award in the arts says, "I have been around for 35 years, and I have been on a lot of covers, and there is not anything that I haven't thought about that I wanted to do that I have not done," Goldberg told us. "The truth of that matter is .?.?. that I am kinda old." But when it comes to Leslie Jones gracing the June Elle magazine cover, Goldberg, 60, was more enthusiastic. "I did my first show on Broadway and I did my whole piece on a little girl who wanted to be white because there was no one on the covers of magazines that looked like her, so things have progressed," she said. "When I saw Leslie on the cover of Elle, I thought what took so long?!" (Page Six)

Suge Knight's still got money in the bank and it looks like he's using some of it to pay off his $30k tax bill from the State of California. THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince Harry are taking their mental health campaigning to new levels! The royal trio marked World Mental Health Day on Monday by celebrating with people who had been there for those in need by joining them for a trip on the London Eye. Kate -- in a Kate Spade floral pink dress -- joined William and Harry for a special party at County Hall, on the south bank of the River Thames in London, where they met members of the charities under their own Heads Together coalition. They each made a brief speech before taking a ride on the landmark London Eye ferris wheel over the Thames. And they will have had a stunning view in a crystal clear Fall day. Their focus was on mental first aid, with the royals highlighting people such as relatives, a colleague or friend who have provided some mental health support in crucial times. "They are interested in learning about the kind of support that helps and what information is available for people who might find themselves in a situation where they need to help someone or to direct them to professional services," a spokesman for the royals said. "These are issues Their Royal Highnesses are exploring with the Heads Together Charity Partners for possible future projects." They kicked off the Heads Together campaign with a fun video in Aprila special launch day the following month. Later Monday, the London Eye will be lit up in purple -- like other prominent buildings around the world -- to mark the day. The lighting up movement is in memory of cyberbullying victim Amanda Todd, a Canadian teen who committed suicide in 2012. (People)
If you've got it, flaunt it! Bella Thorne left little to the imagination in her latest social media post as she stripped down to a barely there bikini and got hands-on with her new boyfriend, Tyler Posey. The 19-year-old flashed her impressive abs and killer curves on Snapchat on Sunday, October 9, one day after celebrating her birthday. Thorne was enjoying a day by the pool with her Teen Wolf beau and sister Dani, who sported plenty of sideboob in a revealing swimsuit. Posey was shirtless for the snaps and showed off a hickey on his neck! The beauty appears to have completely ditched her former good girl, Disney image, and now rocks tattoos and a new septum piercing. She showed off a matching love bite in a video she posted on Instagram of herself getting the painful piece of body art on Saturday. Thorne has only been dating Posey since September, following her breakup from her boyfriend of one year, Gregg Sulkin, this summer, but they appear smitten with one another already. The 24-year-old posted a sweet birthday message to his girlfriend on social media. "I love these women," he wrote alongside a picture of him snuggling with Thorne and a dog. "My red haired beauties. Happy birthday my love@bellathorne ?? sorry I was a couple hours late, I was too distracted by your face ????" (US Weekly)
Before Jonah Hill made it as an actor, he was a college dropout. Hill said his mother refers to that period in his life as her "$40,000 sweatshirt." He added that as a now-successful comic actor, he feels he will disappoint fans when he is not as funny as his films. He said, "Comedians can be funny all the time. I don't have that ability." Tom Brady Returns to Football With Family Support From Gisele Bündchen and Princess Elsa. Tom Brady's cheerleading section is back and cuter than ever. As the New England Patriots quarterback returned to the field Sunday afternoon to take on the Cleveland Browns, a few familiar faces appeared to be supporting Tom from home. Instead of traveling to FirstEnergy Stadium, Gisele Bündchen decided to watch on television and share her support on social media. "Go Pats!!!" she wrote on Instagram while her daughter Vivian and a family friend threw up the touchdown sign. As an added bonus, Vivian and her gal pal were dressed up as Princess Elsa from Disney's Frozen. If only Idina Menzel was available for a halftime performance. For sports fans curious to know what went down on the field, Tom helped lead his team to a 33 to 13 victory after completing 28 of his 40 passes and three touchdowns. At the post-game news conference, Tom tried to avoid questions about his four-game suspension and instead, focused on game day. "It felt very much like a normal week for me once I got into it," he told reports via the New York Times. "It was fun to come out and play and fun to win." And while it's great to be back on the field, Tom recently opened up to E! News about how much he loves being a father to Vivian and his two sons Jack and Benjamin. "I let my daughter do basically anything she wants, which is a little bit of a problem in the house," he admitted to us. "The boys I'm definitely tougher on, but it's so hard with a little 3-year-old girl who just look at you and smiles and she knows exactly what to say to get her dad to do exactly what she wants." He added, "They're so sweet. They're just the sweetest kids." (Eonline)
Their parents may not have shared a handshake at the beginning of the second 2016 presidential debate, but Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump were sure to keep it friendly. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton went head-to-head in Sunday's debate with a massive amount of rancor, but the candidate's bitter rivalry didn't seem to extend to their daughters. After the event, the daughters met fact-to-face and, although only Ivanka's back was seen, Hillary sported a big smile as the two shared an affectionate touch. (Their parents also shook hands following the debate despite skipping the customary greeting in the beginning.) The exchange was brief though, with the two sharing just a few words before parting ways -- which is to be expected under such awkward circumstances. As their parents have been embroiled in a heated war for the White House for several months, Trump and Clinton have held that their friendship has never been about politics. Trump recently told PEOPLE that although there is "tremendous intensity" in both her and Clinton's lives right now, the two are still pals. "We're both incredibly supportive of our parents, as we should be," Ivanka said. "But we also continue to have great respect for one another." That intensity has surely increased in recent months, with both Hillary and Donald throwing jabs at each other whenever they can. And the two candidates didn't mince words at Sunday's debate. Donald, 70, didn't hold back and told the crowd that 68-year-old Hillary has "tremendous hate in her heart." He later accused Hillary of unfairly securing the nomination over Bernie Sanders, saying, "I was surprised to see him sign up with the devil." Hillary had no shortage of material to attack the business mogul, though, especially as the debate came on the heels of the infamous 2005 hot-mic video in which Donald is heard making demeaning comments about women to Billy Bush, who co-hosted Access Hollywood at the time. On the tape -- first published by The Washington Post -- Donald is heard bragging that he could grab women "by the p -- -- " because he's a "star." He also revealed that he had unsuccessfully tried to have sex with a married woman -- later identified as Nancy O'Dell. The Republican nominee has chalked his comments up to "locker room talk," but Hillary did not hold back when addressing the controversy at Sunday's debate. "What we all saw and heard on Friday was Donald talking about women. What he thinks about women, what he does to women and he has said that the video doesn't represent who he is," Hillary said. "But I think it's clear to anyone who heard it that it represents exactly who he is. Because we've seen this throughout the campaign." (People)

Justin Timberlake Dedicates Concert Film to Prince: ''It Just Feels Right." Justin Timberlake is paying tribute to Prince. The former boy bander has dedicated his new concert film, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, to the late music legend. "His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone's music and there's so much that I feel like I've maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt...right," Timberlake explains. "It just feels right to dedicate the film to him." Director Jonathan Demme agrees. "The film's been blessed with that name and that spirit," he said. Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids captures last year's final performance of J.T.'s 20/20 Experience World Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The movie premiered last month at the Toronto International Film Festival. "I'm just pinching myself," Timberlake said on the red carpet before the screening at Roy Thomson Hall. "I'm a little nervous to be honest because I guess it's a version of a character of me being on stage but it's me. I feel like I'm going to sink down in the chair." We're happy to report Timberlake had nothing to worry about because the film is pure entertainment. Whether you've seen him in concert or not, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids gives you a front row seat -- and some backstage pass -- to a J.T. show. So much so that we get to see him sweat -- a lot. "I don't know how you would have hid that," Timberlake said. Demme said, "I love when the disco towel comes out." Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 12. And you can see -- well, hear -- more of Timberlake next month with the release of Trolls, the animated movie about the kitschy dolls that he co-stars in with Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, James Corden, Zooey Deschanel, Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and many others. Young Summer Announces Sophomore LP, Releases Moody New Single 'Echo': Exclusive Premiere. Washington D.C.-based indie pop singer-songwriter Young Summer -- nee Bobbie Allen -- first hit the hype machine back in 2013, with evocative synth pop gems like "Fever Dream" and "Waves That Rolled You Under" off her debut LP Siren. Returning to the fold this year, the musician has not-so-quietly built on the buzz, with a marked sonic evolution, and collaborations alongside the likes of Aqualung's Matt Hales, with intricately woven cuts "Fallout" and "Paused Parade." Today, she arrives with her next stunner "Echo," the latest tune off her just-announced sophomore LP You Would Have Loved It Here, out October 28, and premiering exclusively via Billboard. "'Echo' is a dreamy love letter to someone you will love but haven't met yet. The feelings so strong that you've painted them in your mind as if you already know them," she tells Billboard. "This song speaks directly to them, wherever they are: 'You're drowning in the sound / I'm coming back for you now / Can you hear my echo?'" (Billboard)

Viacom18 Takes Lionsgate's 'La La Land,' 'Deepwater Horizon,' 'Patriots Day' for India. The five-picture deal also includes the upcoming reboot 'Saban's Power Rangers' and the thriller 'Nerve,' starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. In a bid to expand its portfolio of Hollywood releases in India, Viacom18 Motion Pictures has inked a distribution agreement with Lionsgate for five upcoming titles. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, which distributes Paramount titles in India, is a part of Viacom18 Media, a joint venture between Viacom and Indian media company Network18. The venture runs TV networks, including such channels as MTV India, VH1 India, Comedy Central and Hindi entertainment outlet Colors, among others. The Viacom18-Lionsgate deal will kick off with the release of the Mark Wahlberg-starrer Deepwater Horizon, based on the real-life 2010 oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, followed by a fall festival favorite in the form of romantic musical comedy La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Deepwater Horizon landed at the second box-office spot during its U.S. opening weekend collecting $20.6 million. The calendar also includes another Wahlberg starrer, namely Boston marathon bombing drama Patriots Day, as well as franchise reboot Power Rangers and thriller Nerve, starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. While Hollywood and foreign films only command a minority market share in India at less than 10 percent, the segment has been growing in recent years. This summer, Disney set box-office records when The Jungle Book became the most successful Hollywood release in the country, collecting over $23.7 million (1.5 billion rupees). Lionsgate executive vp, international sales Wendy Reeds said that India "is a territory with tremendous box-office potential, and we expect these five eagerly-anticipated films to resonate with Indian moviegoers all year long." Viacom18 Motion Pictures COO Ajit Andhare added that the Lionsgate deal reflected "our endeavor to get the best of Hollywood for the growing Indian audience for English films." The distribution agreement was facilitated by Lionsgate's India representative Morris Street Advisors Private Ltd. Financial terms weren't disclosed. (Hollywood Reporter)
Ewan McGregor on Getting His Dad Involved in Directorial Debut 'American Pastoral'. The actor also said he was planning his second turn as a director, an idea that many thought sounded suspiciously like his breakout film. In getting behind the camera for the very first time on his directorial debut American Pastoral, Ewan McGregor freely admits that he had advice from his industry connections and collaborators, including the likes of Ben Affleck and-of course-Danny Boyle. But speaking at a special private screening of the film for friends and family in London, the Star Wars star revealed that he turned to his own father to help with a scene later on in the film where his character Seymour "Swede" Levov is shown aging several decades in just a few shots. "It's quite difficult to pull that off these days with HD cameras - there's nowhere to hide latex seams and what have you," he said during a Q&A with Boyle, with whom he worked with on the Trainspotting sequel immediately after finishing American Pastoral, flying to Edinburgh the very next day. "But we've got an amazing special effects and make-up artist called Mike Marino, and he asked for any references." McGregor went to his parents, who were both present at the screening, asking if his mother could take some photos of his dad, Jim McGregor. "I really like them. They're really beautiful pictures because it's just close up of your head, and top of your face and profile. I can feel like you're doing it for me in the pictures, it's rather beautiful," he said. "And my god I look like you at the end. Every time I was in the edit room and saw it I just though, oh my goodness." Although he admitted working on American Pastoral had perhaps changed his attitude towards directors ("especially when they're running out of time on set"), McGregor said the experience hadn't put him off and that he was already considering his follow up, which he described as "his first movie." "I feel like [American Pastoral] is my second, because I had quite a lot of money and I had Jennifer Connelly and Dakota Fanning and Peter Reigert and all these amazing actors and this backing from Lakeshore," he said. "So next I'd like to do something small, quick-maybe five or six weeks shoot-with young people, teenagers or actors in their early twenties ... I feel like it should be rough and ready, and maybe in Scotland and maybe not with me in it." However, McGregor's description had-he said-led others to make comparisons. "When I tell people everyone just says that I want to make Trainspotting again!" (Hollywood Reporter)
James Corden, Ilana Glazer Join Animated 'Emoji Movie'. T.J. Miller also stars in Sony's summer 2017 comedy, directed by Anthony Leondis. James Corden and Ilana Glazer are putting on their best faces for EmojiMovie: Express Yourself. The Sony Pictures Animation title casts the Late Late Show host and the Broad City star alongside T.J. Miller in the summer 2017 comedy. A first look photo from the film was shared with the casting announcement. Directed by Anthony Leondis, the animated movie introduces a secret world inside smartphones' messaging apps called Textopolis, a bustling city where all emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone's user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression-except for Gene (Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become "normal" like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Glazer). Together, they travel through the most popular and universally recognized smartphone apps to find the Code that will fix Gene -- until they face a greater danger that threatens to delete their world forever. EmojiMovie: Express Yourself is produced by Michelle Raimo Kouyate and will be released in theaters by Columbia Pictures on August 11, 2017. Corden, who hosts The Late Late Show on CBS, books his latest animated gig after a role in Dreamworks' Trolls and the titular character of Sony's Peter Rabbit adaptation. He is repped by CAA and United Agents. Glazer joins the cast after voicing a character in Netflix's BoJack Horseman, and will star alongside Kate McKinnon, Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Kravitz and Demi Moore in Sony's R-rated comedy Rock That Body. She is repped by UTA and the lawyers of Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein. (Hollywood Reporter)
Russia Drops Proposal for Tax on Hollywood, Foreign Films Amid Opposition From Exhibitors. Movie theater operators argued that an extra tax could harm the industry. An initiative aimed at taxing Hollywood and foreign films in Russia in a bid to raise more funding for homegrown movies has failed amid opposition from exhibitors. "The [film exhibition] sector said no, and the government had to agree with that," a source in the culture ministry, which has come up with several proposals aimed at restricting Hollywood and foreign films in Russia, was quoted as saying by news agency Interfax. In accordance with the original proposal, a tax on net profits, ranging from 5 percent-20 percent for Hollywood and foreign movies released on at least 20 percent of all screens in the country, was to be introduced. A later version of the proposal stipulated a flat 3 ruble (5 cents) tax on all tickets for non-local films. The proceeds from the tax would have been used to help fund homegrown movies, on top of the 3 billion rubles ($48 million) annually disbursed by the government via the cinema fund and the culture ministry. However, Russian exhibitors opposed any extra tax, complaining that against the backdrop of an overall economic downturn, theaters are barely surviving and could not carry any more tax burden. The tax proposal came on the heels of other Russian initiatives aimed at protecting the local film industry at the expense of Hollywood and foreign films, but none of them has properly worked out. The Vampire Diaries Final Season Gets Scary: "It Has Come for Them." The search for Damon and Enzo continues on the eighth and final season of The Vampire Diaries -- and E! News has an exclusive extended first look at the new episodes and the evil that possesses some of our very favorite vampires. "This is it. This is the beginning of the end," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) says with his trademark smirk. "You can't save me," he tells his brother. Enzo (Michael Malarkey), on the other hand, seems very concerned that the force that has overtaken the duo without an end date in sight. "When does this end? How many more bodies until you're full," asks Enzo in desperation. Stefan (Paul Wesley), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Caroline (Candice King) will be on the case -- "whatever we need to do, I'm in," says Bonnie, but, as one of the new characters warns ominously, "it has come for them." Leave it to Caroline to ask the question we all want to know: "What is it?" "It's so rare for a show to get to last this long, and what a privilege that Mark Pedowitz and Peter Roth have allowed us to choose the time to end the journey on our own creative terms," co-creator and executive producer Julie Plec said in a statement announcing the news that season eight would be TVD's last. "It's been eight of the best years of my life. I will miss it terribly, but I'm so proud to be here to see it to its proper end." The Vampire Diaries begins its eighth season on Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW. (Eonline)
Today Show Briefly Addresses Billy Bush's Suspension. As expected, Billy Bush wasn't on Today Monday morning. The Today show briefly mentioned Bush's suspension Monday morning, with co-anchor Savannah Guthrie making a note after she and Lester Holt, who was filling in for Matt Lauer, discussed Sunday night's debate. The two newscasters kept any reference to Bush's tape with Donald Trump, in which they were heard making lewd comments about women. The first reference to the tapes came from an NBC News reporter on the scene in St. Louis, who referred to the "vulgar audio that's thrown [Trump's] campaign into crisis." During a news recap, the reporter said the audio was "part of a 2005 conversation with Billy Bush during Access Hollywood, which is presented by NBCUniversal." Trump and Clinton campaign managers Kellyanne Conway and Robby Mook also discussed the tapes, but never mentioned Bush by name. Other newscasters including Chuck Todd and Nicole Wallace were invited on to discuss Sunday night's debate, and it was only once the analysis was wrapped up that Guthrie commented on Bush's suspension. "We want to note one other thing: Pending further review of the matter, NBC News has suspended Billy Bush, who now hosts Today's third hour, for his role in the conversation with Donald Trump," Guthrie said. NBC announced Sunday in an internal email to the "TODAY family" that Bush wouldn't be on the show Monday. "I know we've been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours," the e-mail stated. "Let me be clear -- there is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter." A return date hasn't been announced. (Eonline)
Who Dies on The Walking Dead? We may never love Jeffrey Dean Morgan the same way again. It was clear based on the ending of season six that going forward, The Walking Dead was going to be harder to watch than ever before. This Saturday, at New York Comic Con, AMC released a brand new sneak peek that officially confirmed that suspicion and successfully got our heartrate back up to finale speeds. It's a seriously incredible sneak peek, and if you haven't yet watched it, you should. Of course, fans all over the internet have been weighing in with their theories on the few clues this clip gives us, so let's talk about them! First of all, here's what the clip confirms for us: Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is still alive, and someone to his right has been severely bloodied up. It does not appear to be the person directly to his right, because Rick would probably be covered in a lot more blood if that were the case, right? That means Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) out...or does it? An eagle-eyed Twitter user noticed something on the ground in the bloody mess (on the far right) that appears to be an engagement ring, not unlike the one Maggie is wearing. But that thing also looks too big to be an engagement ring, depending on the perspective of the shot. And honestly, we're not sure we could handle the death of Maggie, let alone pregnant Maggie. Another important image is the blanket lying on the ground, which looks like the blanket Daryl (Norman Reedus) was wrapped in. Daryl was also kneeling to the right of Rick, but further away than Maggie. This seems pretty obvious, which means it's probably a red herring, but this show must know that if it wants to seriously emotionally compromise its fans, killing Daryl is a good way to do that. And then there's all the talk about a right hand man. In the comics, Rick was supposed to lose his literal right hand to the Governor, so could this be a warning that we're about to finally see that happen? In any case, we're already feeling sick to our stomachs at the thought of actually finding out who died, and how the group will go on from here. During the show's New York Comic Con panel, the cast and executive producers gave a few tidbits about what exactly that journey will be like, and none of it was good news. "It's so unexpected, jarring and destabilizing in a way we've never had," Cohan, who apparently cried during the panel, said of the premiere. "The story that comes from this year is insane, we were completely knocked off our feet, literally. We'll see how people deal with what they could and should and would have done as we go through." "Every season, the premiere has a very different tone," executive producer Greg Nicotero said. "Because everybody knows how the season ended last year and that someone's gonna go, it was more of a challenge going into it and knowing what people are going to expect...There are some unbelievable moments that come out of the fog and the haze of the post traumatic stress after that moment. When we were finished, it took me a few weeks to recover from it." Given the fact that we still haven't gotten rid of the finale-related nightmares, we're willing to bet this this season is going to take us more than a few weeks to recover from. The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC. (Eonline)
Jimmy Fallon may be king of late-night TV, but "The Tonight Show" brass fear that CBS rival James Corden is starting to steal his thunder, while insiders say Fallon is feeling threatened. "James is the main competition right now. They do similar things, and people there view him as the competition. He's even lost some of his staff to Corden. And everyone knows Jimmy loves being the center of attention, so there's some jealousy there," a source said. Fallon's skill in the digital arena has helped him rise above rivals such as Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers, but another TV insider told us he's only comparable to Corden. "[Corden] is not his direct competitor, but in this age of TV, that matters less and less. Jimmy still has buzz, but he's always been around. He likes being the cool kid and the one that everyone wants a piece of. James stole the buzz from him this year. No one knew who James Corden was a year ago, and now everyone in the world is talking about him, and every celebrity wants to do his 'Carpool Karaoke' segment. That stings for someone like Jimmy, who definitely thinks highly of himself. He loves being all the rage, and now another young guy has come into late night making all the waves," the insider said. A source close to Fallon, however, insists the show doesn't view Corden as competition and says it's natural for shows to swap TV staffs. "Jimmy is friendly with all of the late-night hosts, including James Corden. Jimmy remains the No.?1 late-night host for digital media and in the ratings. It is the nature of the industry for talented people to move from studio to studio, network to network, and show to show. Some staff members who worked at 'The Tonight Show' are now working at Corden because they were looking for opportunities in Los Angeles. There is no jealously, as Jimmy thinks James Corden is very funny and there is room for everyone in the late-night landscape," the source said. A rep for "The Tonight Show" responded: "We are big fans of James. We love what he is doing and are thrilled that people are watching so much late-night TV." (Page Six)
Billy Bush Suspended From Today Show After Lewd Conversation With Donald Trump Surfaces. Billy Bush is facing consequences after a lewd conversation with Donald Trump surfaced. In an internal e-mail addressed to the "TODAY family," an announcement was made confirming the co-host will not be on the morning show this coming Monday. "I know we've been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours," the e-mail stated. "Let me be clear -- there is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter." A return date has not been announced or determined. The announcement comes two days after the Washington Post obtained footage from 2005, which included audio of Billy and Donald using vulgar language while discussing women during a ride on an Access Hollywood bus to the set of Days of Our Lives. The two were talking on hot microphones before they taped a segment about Donald's appearance on the famous soap opera. Since the footage was leaked, Billy has apologized for his behavior in the conversation. "Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago -- I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry," he said in a statement obtained by E! News. Donald also released a statement and posted a video message on his social media Friday evening. "This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course -- not even close," he shared. "I apologize if anyone was offended." (Eonline)
Do TV Shows Get a Boost From 'American' Titles? ABC's 'American Housewife' becomes the latest series to add to the title confusion. ABC's American Housewife is entering a crowded space. In addition to attempting to cut through a crowded landscape of more than 400 scripted originals, the comedy about a strong-willed mother (Katy Mixon) raising her flawed family in a wealthy town filled with "perfect" wives and their "perfect" offspring becomes the latest series with the term "American" in its title. While FX tweaked its title from American Crime Story: People v. O.J. Simpson to lead with the latter in an attempt to differentiate itself from ABC's anthology American Crime, the patriotic title can also be found in series as different as FX's American Horror Story, Starz's forthcoming American Gods and NBC reality competition entry American Ninja Warrior. With so much title confusion, how much does "American" actually help a show cut through the clutter? "There's a lot of American and we discussed that when we thought about American Housewife. What we were trying to find for that show was something that would make the show feel more universal," ABC Entertainment Group president Channing Dungey tells THR. The comedy, loosely inspired by the life of showrunner Sarah Dunn, went through pilot season as The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport, with the title ultimately tweaked to the blander American Housewife in a bid to dodge outcry from potentially offended viewers. "As we talked to the producers about where the show was going, we realized that Second Fattest Housewife was more the title of the pilot episode and not a title that would then carry forward in the series," Dungey says. "We debated a lot of things and American Housewife felt like it was the most universal. But I do feel we are reaching a threshold of shows called American something." Indeed. The crowded American marketplace also includes NBC's America's Got Talent, VH1's America's Next Top Model and ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos. There's also TBS' American Dad, FX's The Americans, CBS' American Gothic and TV Land pilot American Woman (plus Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer). Then there's also former shows including American Idol, American Dreams, the iconic American Bandstand and even NBC's American Odyssey, which added the former to its title but still failed to cut through. (There are also two networks with American in their names -- BBC America and WGN America. We won't even get into Survivor, Survivor's Remorse and Designated Survivor.) "In this form of scripted television, the word "American" allows writers to tackle social issues specifically relevant to the U.S., while still focusing on specific unique characters," says Linda Ong, CEO and founder of branding company TruthCo. "America codes for a multiplicity of perspectives and outlooks, which is why the word is so common in anthology series, yet also points to a larger collective experience, which is why the word accompanies so many shows that explore race and gender." Ong and her team of analysts say there are four reasons "American" seems to be used in titles. First, to represent traditional (or conservative) values of prosperity, upward mobility and competitiveness, with reality shows often using the title to distinguish itself from a global format. Second, to take an ironic outlook at what was once a proud identifier -- like American Housewife. Third, to unflinchingly investigate America's sins (say American Crime Story, The Americans, etc. And fourth, suggesting an unthreatening patriotic genericism -- what Ong and her team noted "what Donald Trump pretends to convey, while coding the conservative meaning to his fiercest supporters." "As America continues to be a leading source of pop culture, the word shouldn't be a deterrent in international markets," Ong notes. "However, as the landscape becomes more saturated with titles bearing the word American, it might soon be smart to start avoiding the word to differentiate from other material." If successful, Dungey hopes the title won't impact international sales. "I feel like there's always a lot of curiosity about what happens in America. To that end, it might be helpful [for international sales]. Sometimes shows are sold overseas with different titles so there may be opportunities there, too." Notes American Housewife exec producer Aaron Kaplan: "The use of the word American had nothing to do with whether or not we could catch a rating off of that term. It's who the character is: she is an American housewife. We looked at a bunch of different titles and this is a broad and grounded show about so many different things but we felt this title helped us tell the kinds of stories that Sarah Dunn wants to tell as a series." MIPCOM: BBC Takes A+E's 'Roots' for U.K. The new adaptation of Alex Haley's groundbreaking novel of African slave Kunta Kinte and his American decedents has sold to 220 territories worldwide. Kunta Kinte is going to the BBC. The British public broadcaster has picked up the U.K. rights to Roots, A+E's remake of the groundbreaking 1977 miniseries, about one African-American family's trials from slavery to freedom. It will air in on its BBC Four network. Ahead of international TV market MIPCOM in Cannes next week, A+E confirmed a raft of new sales for Roots, which will now go out in 42 languages in 220 territories worldwide. The new Roots had its world premiere at MIPTV in Cannes in April and was simulcast on sister networks History, A&E and Lifetime in the U.S. over four nights in May. "The remarkable sales momentum we established at MIPTV endures," said Joel Denton, managing director of international content sales and partnerships for A+E Networks. "Broadcasting in 42 languages is testament to the truly universal appeal of this epic miniseries." Roots debuted to an audience of 5.3 million in the U.S. and ended with a still-strong 4.8 million viewers, despite direct competition from the NBA, which aired game 7 of the Western Conference finals on the same night as the Roots finale. The original 1977 miniseries is still one of the most-watched programs in U.S. television history. The first episode of the 8-part original series was watched by 28.8 million viewers on ABC, and the finale by an astounding 36.4 million viewers. (Hollywood Reporter)
TV Ratings: Early Numbers Off Nearly 20 Percent From First Debate. Donald Trump was put on the defense over leaked audio of the GOP candidate talking about groping women. Americans again tuned into a presidential debate, anticipating fireworks. Preliminary numbers for Sunday's rematch between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are sky-high -- though not quite as high as the first meeting two weeks ago. With a combined 37.2 overnight rating among the households, the early numbers for the six main networks carrying the debate are down roughly 20 percent from the record-breaking haul of the first showdown (46.2 overnight). That gross excludes NBC, making an apples-to-apples comparison is tricky for this debate. The typical leader in recent political coverage did not carry the live event in favor of Sunday Night Football. For that reason, bigger boosts are likely for the cable news outlets when updated returns come later on Monday. CBS benefited the most among the broadcast networks, with its 10.4 rating among households during the debate edging past the dipping coverage of Sunday Night Football. The game, a marquee lineup between the New York Football Giants and the Green Bay Packers, only fetched a 10.2 rating. The first debate set a very high bar. A record 84 million viewers tuned in, besting the previous record set in 1980 when Ronald Regan faced Jimmy Carter. The performance of this debate, however, is much more on par with 2012 performances -- of both the first and second debates. Sunday's debate came the wake of a leaked audio scandal, in which Donald Trump was heard talking about groping women in a 2005 exchange with Billy Bush, that dominated news coverage over the weekend. For that reason, many assumed interest in debate might be just as high as two weeks ago -- though the NFL presented a new obstacle for the telecast. Second debates have been all over the place, ratings-wise, though recent showings have been exceptionally tight. The comparable debate in the 2012 cycle earned 65.6 million viewers, down from 67 million during the first. And, in 2008, the second debate actually performed better -- rising to 63.2 million viewers from 52.4 million. (The all-time most-watched second debate was in 1992, when George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Ross Perot faced on another.) Regardless of where final numbers fall, they will mark a huge rebound from the vice presidential debate. Tim Kaine and Mike Pence brought a 16-year low for veep showdowns, fewer than 40 million viewers. (Hollywood Reporter)

But in recent months, the pair has been inseparable as Ryan continues competing on Dancing With the Stars alongside partner Cheryl Burke. If you thought Ryan's Olympics scandal would hurt their relationship, we've learned that it only strengthened the pair's bond. "My family says, 'Don't you think it's a little too soon?' Celine Dion Reveals Late Husband Rene Angelil Is the Only Man She Has Ever Kissed Romantically.

Suge was hit with 2 tax liens -- one for $18,340.37 from 2011, and another for $11,764.92 from 2012. The Death Row honcho's still behind bars, facing a murder charge in a fatal hit-and-run back in January 2015, but according to docs he made things right with the taxman in August. He's still a far ways off from a clean slate, but taking care of tax bills ... it's a start. (TMZ)
During a New Yorker Festival Q&A with David Remnick, Hill revealed that he dropped out of the University of Colorado at Boulder after just one semester with no credits.
