David Arquette and His Wife Christina Arquette Are Expecting Another Child: Find Out If It's a Boy or a Girl. David Arquette already has two bundles of joy in his life...and now he's about to make that three! The 45-year-old actor took to Instagram on Wednesday and announced his wife, Christina Arquette, is pregnant with their second child, sharing a precious video of their 2-year-old son, Charlie, and revealing they're expecting another baby boy! "So incredibly blessed and honored that my wife @christinaarquette is pregnant with a baby boy!" he captioned the video. "Thank you Christina and humbled gratitude to G-D for this tremendous gift!" He continued, "Charlie and Coco are so excited and I am over the moon!!!" Coco is his 12-year-old daughter he shares with ex-wife Courteney Cox. In the video, Charlie is seen holding up a sonogram and hugging it closely to his face, giving it the littlest kisses. He then looks at his mom and asks, "A baby?" Christina responded, "Yeah! It's a baby in my belly! Say, 'Hi, brother!'" The 2-year-old responded adorably, "Hi baby! Hi brother!" before giving the photo a big kiss. Meanwhile, David and Christina welcomed Charlie into the world on April 29, 2014. The two began dating in 2011, but in mid-2012, they broke up. "Sadly I'm single again," Arquette tweeted at the time. "A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult." However, they later got back together, and in November 2013, the couple announced they were expecting a baby. David asked for Christina's hand in marriage in June 2014 and the pair married the following year. (Eonline)

Blake Shelton Heads to Gwen Stefani's Hometown for Family Day as Couple's One-Year Anniversary Approaches. There's no doubt about it: Gwen Stefani absolutely loves her Orange County hometown. In between touring across the country for her latest solo album, the singer was able to enjoy a family day in Anaheim, Calif. with her children and boyfriend Blake Shelton. The day started off on a magical note when the gang celebrated Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort with Donald Duck at Sleeping Beauty's Castle. The group was ultimately spotted at both Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure where they enjoyed several attractions including It's a Small World, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Alice in Wonderful. When the sun began to set, Gwen decided to take Blake to her childhood home where she grew up and helped create some of No Doubt's biggest hits. "We went to Disneyland today and then we went to see the Beacon Street house and now we're here," Gwen shared on Snapchat. "How weird to be at the Beacon Street house right now?" She continued, "We are actually doing a tour of Anaheim right now and now I'm at my house that I grew up at. That's it. There's my bedroom over there." While Blake wasn't seen in many of the Snaps, fans overheard the country singer saying, "This is incredible." The Hollywood couple, who started dating just after last year's Halloween, has traveled to Anaheim before. In fact, Blake has been able to experience some of Gwen's favorite local eateries. As the pair's one-year anniversary approaches, plans remain pretty tight-lip. What we can tell you is the two performers appear completely happy with their relationship. And yes, maybe there is some hope for an engagement down the road. "I don't know! God, I don't know. Everything is going so quickly," Gwen admitted while talking to On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "I'm in the moment and um...Look at me! You got me tongue-tied." (Eonline)

Priyanka Chopra Refuses to Kill Herself at the Gym: ''I Don't Listen to My Body, My Body Listens to Me." Priyanka Chopra has always been the first person to tell you she's not a huge fan of hitting the gym and dieting...and yet she still manages to maintain her beautiful, strong body. So what's her secret? The 34-year-old actress sat down with Women's Health magazine as the cover girl of their November issue and said she's all about a well-balanced life, refusing to let anything get in the way of health. "My favorite way of staying in shape is staying active. I think that's most important," she told the publication. However, she also knows the importance of just living life, too. "All of us are super busy. We have so much to do. Life is just really fast-paced," she noted. "You don't have to kill yourself at the gym, you don't have to starve yourself. I love having my pizzas and burgers and buffalo wings, on the side, for sure. But I like staying fit as well." Chopra's idea of her perfect body is "curvaceous but not super-skinny but at the same time I want to be lean," she revealed to the publication. "So I try and eat healthy whenever I can." But staying fit isn't just about looks for the actress. It's also important for her career. "I have to stay super active and agile because I do my own stunts," she revealed. "I do all my fights myself. I trust my body and my instincts." In fact, that's the mindset she maintains to stay in shape. "People always say you should listen to your body. But I don't listen to my body," she said. "My body listens to me. I can't afford to be sick or low on energy. It's mind over matter." She continued, "I'm going to have a good day, and not in that fake 'Happy girls are the best girls way!' way. Identify the weaknesses, shut them in a box, find your strengths, and run with them." That mentality has certainly taken Chopra quite the distance, seeing as she's starred in more than 50 film and television productions, was once named Miss World and is currently the lead in ABC's hit show Quantico -- all of this, not without setbacks. "It's been a huge struggle for me to be able to come into mainstream entertainment in America and actually break the mold of what a Bollywood actress should be," she explained. Still, she refused to be stopped. "Success is always about what's next. I don't settle and I don't stop." For example, when ABC initially approached her in 2014 she gave them one rule: "I'm used to playing the lead and I don't want to compromise." You can enjoy Chopra's full interview with Women's Health here and on-stands October 18. (Eonline)

Well, how do you like them apples? Stunning actress Minnie Driver says she almost didn't get her role in the movie Good Will Hunting because a producer said she wasn't attractive enough. The 46-year-old actress made the shocking revelation on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, October 12. When the host asked her what was the rudest thing anyone has said to her in Hollywood she replied: "The producer of Good Will Hunting did not think I was hot enough to be in that film, and did not want me in the film." Cohen pointed out that she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the 1997 flick, and Driver quipped: "But not for being hot." The Speechless star praised her costars and the film's creators, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, plus director Gus Van Sant, for insisting she get the job. "They fought very hard for me to play that role and I'm grateful to them until this day." Luckily, although she carried the insult with her for a while, she said she was "together enough to know that hotness is a perception, not a point of view." Driver also spoke out against Donald Trump and explained why she decided to reveal on Tuesday, October 11, that she had been the victim of sexual abuse as a teenager. As Us Weekly reported she bravely shared her experience with SiriusXM radio program Stand Up! with Pete Dominick, and she told Cohen she'd done it in part to make a stand against Trump's vile comments against women. "I went on there to talk about Speechless," she said. "And Pete who was interviewing me is a great journalist and a really interesting dude and it was pertinent to the comments that were made by Hillary Clinton's opponent, which are un-sanctionable to me, under any circumstances, whether it was 11 years ago, the notion of consent... anyway." Clearly getting emotional Driver continued: "So, I told the story about what happened to me, when I was just 17 and it was deeply unpleasant and I was genuinely made to feel by the local police, I was in Greece at the time, that if I hadn't been provocative and if I had just gone along with what this guy wanted me to do then I wouldn't have gotten beaten up," she continued. "It's important to talk about it, now has never been a better time to speak up and for young women to feel like they have a voice and... nobody gets to grab you by anything unless you want them to." Ariel Winter Feels ''Fabulous,'' Even When Haters Call Her ''Fat'' and "Ugly." Sorry, haters...You can't stop Ariel Winter from doin' her thang! The 18-year-old doesn't just look fierce and fabulous on the cover of Seventeen magazine's November issue, she feels it, too. In chatting with the publication, the Modern Family star does admit it's difficult reading the constant negative commentary from trolls on social media, but she's doing her best to look beyond it. "It's definitely hard being self-conscious and having the world be able to tell you how they feel about you," she explained. "Before Twitter and Instagram, if you felt a certain way about a person you didn't know, you couldn't tell them. Now I wake up and I have tweets to me about how I'm a fat, ugly blah-blah." As she gets older, Winter is becoming less concerned with what everyone else has to say and more focused on feeling confident in her own eyes. "When I was younger, it took a lot more of a toll on me than it does now," she revealed. "Three or four years ago, I would have been devastated, like, 'Why do people feel this way about me? I'm just being me.' My sister helped me understand that people will say those things regardless of how you look. I tell myself every day, 'I look fabulous.'" This mentality is exactly why the young actress wears whatever she wants, whenever she wants -- including that now-famous graduation dress that showed off all her curves. "I looked great in it, I loved it, and that's all that matters to me," she said. "There are so many other issues in the world that are more important than my graduation dress showing a little underboob." Winter promises she will continue to fight against the body-shamers and the haters, if only to be a positive voice for all women. She hopes to see others coming together to do the same. "I definitely have pushed myself to deal with the good and the bad because I feel there are so many girls who need to hear positivity," she explained. "I feel like as many of us women who can band together and discuss things in a positive way will be so beneficial," she added, noting, "Losing one person in that discussion wouldn't be helpful." Corey Feldman Takes a Stand Against Internet Bullies and Performs a Song "for America" Live on Today. Corey Feldman is moving forward with his music -- whether you like it or not. The iconic '80s star returned to Today to perform his all-too-fitting song, "Take a Stand," off of his album Angelic 2 the Core. Clad in a vibrant gold jacket and surrounded by musicians dressed as angels, the 45-year-old actor addressed the backlash surrounding his aspiring music career before kicking his performance off. It was just a month earlier that Feldman first took the Today stage to perform "Go 4 It." The performance quickly went viral and garnered mixed responses from the public. "We're doing something new that hasn't been done before," the Goonies actor told NBC's Tamron Hall. "But it's all about innovation and being an artist, and we can't be afraid to share our art. This song by the way is for America. We are at a time right now where the world needs to focus really on peace and love and tolerance." Feldman delivered that exact message as he passionately performed the track, shedding his jacket and letting his hair down in the process while frequently holding up the peace sign. A day before the performance, the star also penned an essay for Today, explaining how his critics have affected him. "As an artist, I've been bullied, I've been picked on strictly because I spread a message of love. As an artist, I take chances by creating new dances, and I risk it all while trying not "2" fall," he explained. "As an artist, if I fail and make mistakes, that's when my critics have a field day. However, the most painful part is when you get it all right, and remember all the parts, yet you open your computer, and read comments that would tear a hole through any commoners' hearts." Selena Gomez Seeking Professional Treatment for Her Emotional Well-Being. Selena Gomez is getting professional help. According to multiple reports, the 24-year-old singer has been seeking aid amid her battle with depression, and has checked into a facility in Tennessee after announcing she was taking a break from the spotlight in August. Along with the treatment, she is seeking help with how to properly deal with the health issues related to her lupus diagnosis. Gomez's rep has not responded to our request for comment. A source told Us Weekly, "Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health. She can go to a very dark place." The insider said the facility is just outside of Nashville and is a "private and quiet place," but "super intense." Selena actually resurfaced in Tennessee over the weekend for the first time since August. Multiple eyewitnesses confirmed to E! News that the singer stopped by the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa on Saturday for an afternoon meal. "She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch," one eyewitness shared with us. "She couldn't have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever." At the end of August, Gomez announced she would be taking a break from the spotlight for a little while to focus on herself and her health. In a statement given to E! News, the singer revealed she was suffering from some "side effects of lupus" like "anxiety, panic attacks and depression," which she wants to face head-on. Gomez thanked her fans for their support and understanding about her break explaining, "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off." She continued, "You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best." Overall, Gomez hopes that coming forward about her struggle with help others do the same. "I know I am not alone by sharing this," she concluded her statement. "I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues." The "Come and Get It" singer first revealed her lupus diagnosis in an interview with Billboard last October. "I was diagnosed with lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy. That's what my break was really about. I could've had a stroke," Gomez told the magazine of her time away from the spotlight in 2014, which caused quite a bit of speculation. "I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. You're assholes,'" she recalled. "I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again." Gomez later admitted she spent time in rehab to work on herself. "First off, this is something that everyone always wants to fixate on. I got diagnosed with lupus. My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be okay," she told GQ magazine in April, adding, "and I was going through leukemia" (though she most likely meant chemotherapy for her diagnosis). "I went to two different locations for those treatments. It's really frustrating, because I am 100 percent allowed to have that," she said. "I just have to be patient. It's slowly dissolving the older I get. And I just have to be patient and make great things with quality, from producing to singing to acting." She continued, "One by one, I will be able to change the dialogue, and people won't care about everything that's happened to me." (Eonline)

Moments after Paris cops responded to the Kim Kardashian robbery scene, someone recorded video inside her apartment and whoever shot the footage is in big trouble ... TMZ has learned. The video shows Kim on a couch, wrapped in blanket while FaceTiming with someone. Police are combing the luxury pad for evidence ... apparently unaware that someone in the apartment is shooting video, which would be a major violation of French privacy laws. Our sources tell us Kim's legal team is now working with French authorities to determine who was behind the camera. The issue is, in France it is illegal to film someone in a private setting without their consent. We're told police believe this video fits that description. The video was posted on websites this week, but Kim's legal team shut it down immediately by sternly reminding the outlets the footage is illegal. If Kim or others who were present can finger the camera operator, and cops locate the culprit ... he or she could face a year in prison and be fined the equivalent of about $50k. (TMZ)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Bob Dylan Is First American in More Than Two Decades to Win Nobel Prize in Literature. The times they are a-changin' within the Nobel Prize committee. Bob Dylan is now officially the first American since novelist Toni Morrison's 1993 win to receive the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature. A relatively unconventional honoree for the category reserved typically for more traditional authors and poets, the singer-songwriter is undoubtedly considered one of the most influential voices of all time. In a statement released Thursday, the Swedish Academy noted that Dylan deserved the award "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition." And although Dylan isn't necessarily the first lyricist to earn the coveted accolade, he is the category's first popular music performer. Across his decades-spanning career, Dylan released 37 studio albums and 58 singles, which ultimately earned him 11 Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. In 2012, President Barack Obama presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award to the musician. At 75-years-old, Dylan still performs to sold-out stadiums, most recently alongside rock legends The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney at the Desert Trip Festival in Indio, Calif. Congratulations to Bob on an achievement so well-deserved! (Eonline)

There Isn't an Ab in Sight in Abercrombie & Fitch's Completely Clothed Ads, but There Are Plenty of Oversized Sweaters. A&F presents...a whole new (clothed) look. Abercrombie & Fitch and sister store Hollister, who decided to do away with their overly sexualized ad campaigns, debuted their new ads Thursday morning. Good Morning America featured the new ads, which show a striking difference between the old looks and the new; the most obvious change being the amount of clothing, of course. A&F also debuted its new look on its website and deleted all signs of their old, very nearly naked ads on its Instagram. Welcome, all, to the new, covered up world of A&F. The clothing company announced last year that it would be doing away with all overly sexualized marketing materials, which meant pictures of nearly naked men and women wouldn't be plastered all over the walls, bags and magazines. For parents, A&F was probably the store of nightmares: the overwhelming air of fragrance -- thanks to the brand's famous Fierce cologne -- would suffocate anyone, the loud music threatened your ear drums and the naked "all-American models" were enough to cover children's eyes. But for teenagers everywhere it was the store of dreams. Since the departure of CEO Mike Jeffries and competition from H&M, the brand has struggled with falling sales. Some changes, such as lowering the volume of the pulsing music and increasing lighting, have already been put into effect. Shirtless men will no longer be greeting customers at promotional events, and employees, who were labeled "models," will now be known as "brand representatives." A&F's decision to completely rebrand comes after the company faced backlash surrounding a discrimination lawsuit filed by a Muslim woman who claimed the company refused to hire her because she wore a traditional head scarf. Kim Kardashian Cancels Las Vegas Club Appearance After Paris Robbery. Kim Kardashian West won't be heading to Hakkasan at the end of this month. On the heels of her life-threatening robbery in Paris, the reality star and mother of two has canceled a scheduled appearance at Las Vegas' Hakkasan Nightclub, E! News can confirm. The mogul was supposed to appear at the late-night spot on Oct. 28, a week after her 36th birthday. "Given recent circumstances, Kim Kardashian will be unable to make her previously scheduled appearance at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub," a rep for the club told E! News. Kardashian is known to typically celebrate her birthday in Las Vegas, but it seems this year just won't make the cut. However, E! News has exclusively learned that Kim has a $1 million deal with Hakkasan, in which she agreed to make four appearances in 2016. Since she already visited in April and July, she has two more events to schedule to fulfill the agreement before the year is up. Sources at Hakkasan group tell E! News they believe Kim's contract will allow for her to reschedule her appearance at a later date without any sort of penalty. In addition, the club wants to maintain good relations with Kim and the rest of the Kardashians. Since being traumatically gagged, bound and held at gunpoint by robbers in her Paris hotel room, Kardashian has stayed completely out of the spotlight. Upon arrival back in the United States, Kim retreated to her New York City Airbnb for a few days with Kanye West before flying home to Los Angeles with her two children and mom Kris Jenner while the rapper headed off to Chicago to resume his Saint Pablo Tour. In the days after the attack, she's stayed dark on social media and even postponed an upcoming makeup master class with her personal makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, which was initially planned for Oct. 14 in Dubai. "On behalf of myself and Kim Kardashian West, please accept our apologies. We are sorry to inform you that due to the recent events, we will be rescheduling the Dubai Masterclass with Kim Kardashian West," Dedivanovic said in a statement on his Instagram account. In the meantime, a source told E! News the reality star is currently seeking professional help. "Kim is doing better but she still has a long way to recover from the robbery," the insider says. "She has been receiving some professional counseling. Her friends and family have been really supportive. Her sisters and mom have been checking on her every day." The source added that West often calls and checks in on his wife when he's not on stage, but they are doing everything they can to keep the aftermath away from their daughter. "Being around her children is the biggest distraction for [Kim's] mind," the source said. "North West is aware her mom is sad and not herself, but Kanye and Kim are trying not to talk about it around her." (Eonline)

Kylie Jenner Bonds With Tyga's Son King Cairo. Kylie Jenner squeezed in some bonding time with her boyfriend's mini-me. The reality star took to Snapchat Wednesday to share photos of herself alongside rapper beau Tyga's only child, 3-year-old son King Cairo. The hangout comes just a few days ahead of King's 4th birthday on Oct. 16. Sporting an oversized pink shirt and leggings, the makeup mogul posed alongside the little boy and took a selfie in front of a full-size mirror. In a second shot, Jenner hopped on her boyfriend's back and snapped the photo in the mirror while the "Rack City" rapper looked another way. In the meantime, in just a few weeks, King Cairo will become a big brother as mom Blac Chyna is set to give birth to a baby girl on Nov. 16. The Rob & Chyna star is expecting her first child with fiance Rob Kardashian. Chyna showed off her 36-week baby bump on Instagram recently and even stepped on the scale to reveal her current pregnancy weight. At 186.6 pounds, she has gained approximately 40 pounds -- nowhere near the 100 pound mark she originally set as her goal. "My goal is to gain like 100 pounds this pregnancy," she said on Snapchat in June. "I'm going to tear it up and then I'm going to snap back." The expectant mom looked radiant in a champagne dress at her recent baby shower, which included roughly 80 guests, a belly dancer and plenty of baby-inspired games. "It was such a fun party. Rob and Chyna had the best time," a source tole E! News. "Rob and Scott [Disick] arrived together right at the beginning and Rob was the last to leave. He was so happy [and] very very excited about being a dad. Scott kept teasing him and saying, 'Bob, you are about to be a dad!'" (Eonline)

Warning, serious curves ahead! Blac Chyna is proud of her pregnancy body and so she shared it with her fans in a revealing Instagram snap on Wednesday, October 12. Wearing a cream crop top and matching tight trousers, the Rob & Chyna star, 28, posed for a photo with her 36-week baby belly on display. Alongside the snap, she promoted the drink she is holding in the picture: "Drinking @teamiblends Skinny tea, as it gives me great energy plus it's perfectly safe while pregnant! Can't wait to do the @teamiblends detox after I give birth to my lil girl Its the only tea I swear by to help me look my best!" On Tuesday Rob Kardashian's fiancee, who was 135 lbs before her pregnancy, revealed her weight gain via Snapchat. "4 weeks after Sunday she will be here !! Nov 16," the 5-foot-2 makeup artist wrote alongside a photo of herself standing on a scale that read "186.6." In June she shocked fans by declaring she wanted to pile on the pounds. "My goal is to gain, like, 100 pounds this pregnancy. Imma tear it up, then Imma snap back," she announced on social media. Fortunately she realized it wasn't a healthy move for her, or her baby, and said she was "eating more clean" and exercising. (US Weekly)

Christie Brinkley Lists Hamptons Home for $25 Million: Inside the Harbor Front Property. Christie Brinkley took the Hamptons, but now she's looking to rest her head in a bigger and better locale. The 62-year-old iconic supermodel recently listed her jaw-dropping estate in New York for a whopping $25 million, and E! News has all the proof you need to re-inspire your real estate bug. The three-story, waterfront abode sits on 4.5 acres overlooking Sag Harbor, and includes nearly 330 feet of space to frolic on the sandy beach. Built in 1843, the enviable Colonial-style home boasts five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms spread across 5,500 square feet of space. As for interiors, Brinkley paid homage to the home's connection to history by maintaining its massive white columns and opting for an Americana design aesthetic. When it comes to amenities, potential buyers will leap to lock in a chance at strolling the property's surrounding gardens and dipping their toes in its gunite pool. It goes without saying, but the home's panoramic views are also a major selling point, as well as its formal dining room, multiple fireplaces and gorgeous kitchen that includes soapstone and marble counter tops. Then there's Brinkley's former master suite, which features its very own terrace and sitting room. Ooh la la! Christie's latest dive into the world of property offloading comes fresh off her listing a separate 20-acre Hamptons compound for $29.5 million back in June. She's become somewhat of a real estate maven in the elite vacation spot, and according to The Wall Street Journal, sold a third Hamptons home for $10 million in 2013. Back in 2010, Brinkley initially listed the $25 million pad for $15.75 million. She reportedly initially purchased the estate in 2004 for $7.15 million. Cha-ching, indeed. (Eonline)

It's the end of an era for Vin Diesel -- the starter home he bought 16 years ago just hit the market. The 'Furious' star's 2 bedroom, 3 bath pad in the Hollywood Hills can be yours for $1.395 million. Vin briefly put it on the market in 2013 but has been renting it out since then. If he gets his asking price, Vin could pocket up to $833k. The pad needs some TLC but it's got good meat on its bones -- the master bedroom features French doors opening to a pool, spa and built-in BBQ. Inside it's got a charming brick fireplace. (TMZ)

Once upon a time, in the land of Calabasas! On Wednesday, Kendall Jenner wrote a blog entry on her website where she describes each of her sisters as Disney princesses! How cute! The supermodel wrote: "My sisters and I love Disney movies. We used to watch them all the time when Kylie and I were little. I never really thought about which princess I'm most like, until a friend recently told me that she's such a Mulan, lol. It got me thinking about which characters my sisters would be from the movies (and my own personal princess, of course)." Kenny describes Kourtney Kardashian as Jasmine from Aladdin, Kylie Jenner as Rapunzel from Tangled, Khloe Kardashian as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Kim Kardashian as Ariel from The Little Mermaid! On the flip side, the 20-year-old says she's most like Tiana from The Princess and The Frog because she's: "smart, determined, motivated, dutiful, hardworking, funny, humble [and] respectful." Does this make Kris Jenner the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella?? We'd like to think so! (Perez Hilton)

Lil Wayne had one major responsibility while behind bars. In his bracing new memoir, "Gone 'Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island" (out now from Plume), the rapper, 34, reveals he briefly worked as a suicide prevention aide during his eight-month long stay at the jail in 2010 after he was convicted of possession of a firearm the year before. "The job is basically to monitor the top tier [of the jail] for an eight-hour shift and if someone wants to hang up (meaning to kill themselves), to not negotiate with them or try to talk to them out of it, but just to alert and officer," the rapper wrote in the book. If the job sounds important, that's because it was, and prisoners who worked it were compensated as such. "You get paid $50 if you stop the person from actually hanging themselves and $25 if you find them hung up," he wrote. "Yeah, it's that real." Wayne's stint in the job, which saw him patrolling the tier every night until 6 a.m., was short, as he eventually quit it to focus on his own well-being. (Page Six)

After Lindsay Lohan unexpectedly live-tweeted the epic Brexit vote -- urging citizens of English town Sunderland to vote "remain" without exactly knowing where Sunderland was -- she has turned her attention to a larger political stage, lobbying the UN Security Council to include Turkey. Lohan was in Turkey visiting a camp of Syrian refugees this week, holding babies and even changing into a doctor's robe to help with pediatric medical checks. LiLo's visit has apparently been a hit in the country, which had an attempted coup in July. Middle East news site Al-Monitor reported that "Lohan's compatriot Angelina Jolie has visited the same refugee camps along the Syrian border several times, but she never elicited the gushing enthusiasm afforded Lohan." And, "Lohan has waded into Turkish politics in a big way, spouting, among other things, one of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's worthier mantras: 'The world is bigger than five'" -- which is a critique of the UN Security Council. Reported the Turkish Daily Sabah: "Lohan expressed support for Ankara's call for a change in the structure of the international body for countries outside the five permanent members to have more of a say on international issues." Lohan's gained fans for showing up to a press conference with a headscarf that an aid worker gave her. And she revealed on Turkish TV that she studied the Koran, but, "They crucified me for it in America." Lohan recently split with Russian fiance Egor Tarabasov, and there was speculation on social media that her new Turkish Mother Teresa act is because she's dating a "pro-government Turkish billionaire." When Lohan was asked if she's filming any movies, she said she "would be interested in working on a film about refugees." (Page Six)

Former Miss Teen USA Katie Blair says Donald Trump is far from the sleezy guy he's being made out to be ... based on her experiences with him on TV shows and pageants. Katie was Miss Teen USA '06 and Miss CA USA '11 ... and Trump owned both pageants at the time. We talked to her about her interactions with the boss, and while she admits there were plenty of situations for him to leer ... she insists it NEVER happened. Katie says anyone who's had any experience with live TV would know there's an obvious reason why Trump couldn't have done many of the things some other pageant contestants have accused him of doing. Katie's clearly got his back when it comes to his ethics. As for whether he's got her vote? Katie's made her decision, though it's hardly a ringing endorsement. (TMZ)

The Rev. Al Sharpton doesn't want any money going to rebuild Haiti from the devastation of Hurricane Matthew until we find out what happened to the $10 billion that was meant to rebuild Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. "What happened to the money that was given the last time? We need to look into it," Sharpton told me. "I don't know where the blame lies." Six years after that quake, Haiti's infrastructure is still in shambles, and tens of thousands are still homeless because little housing has been rebuilt. Some fingers are pointing at Hillary Clinton, who was secretary of state when the magnitude 7.0 earthquake destroyed Port-au-Prince, and Bill Clinton, who was a UN special envoy to Haiti. Donald Trump claimed Tuesday in Florida that the Clintons "ripped off Haiti" and said, "We should never forget how Bill and Hillary Clinton handled Haiti the last time out." Bill Clinton is still asking for money. On Oct. 4, he tweeted, "Praying for everyone impacted by #HurricaneMatthew. Here's how you can help in Haiti," with a link to the Clinton Foundation Web site. Sean Penn and Wyclef Jean, who both have raised money in the past for Haiti, declined to be interviewed. But Sharpton warned people to ignore solicitations for cash. "We don't want a dime -- just clothing, food and supplies," Sharpton said. Sharpton criticized both Trump and Hillary Clinton for failing to mention Haiti at their second debate. "To have a catastrophe in this hemisphere that took a thousand lives, and not to mention it, is to marginalize those people." (Page Six)

Colin Kaepernick says he's disappointed in Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's criticism of his national anthem protest ... saying it's just another example of a white person dodging the "real issue." As we previously reported, RBG said Kaep's protest was "dumb and disrespectful" and she takes issue with his point of view. But in a locker room interview with reporters on Tuesday, Kaepernick responded -- "It is disappointing to hear a Supreme Court Justice call a protest against injustices and oppression 'stupid, dumb' in reference to players doing that." "I was reading an article and it refers to white critique of black protests and how they try to delegitimize it by calling it 'idiotic, dumb, stupid,' things of that nature, so they can sidestep the real issue." "As I was reading that I saw more and more truth how this has been approached by people in power and white people in power in particular." Kaepernick also said people are "getting too caught up in the flag" ... adding, "At the end of the day the flag is just a piece of cloth and I am not going to value a piece of cloth over people's lives." Barry Gibb & Jimmy Fallon Face Off in 'Silhouette Singing'. Barry Gibb and Jimmy Fallon faced off in a battle of fall-themed songs on The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (Oct. 12) in a bit called "Silhouette Singing." You have to be pretty confident to go toe-to-toe with the Bee Gees legend in a sing-off, but Fallon, of course, has a bit of history singing in his best Gibb voice from his years hosting the "Barry Gibb Talk Show" on Saturday Night Live. Gibb came on the show to promote his first-ever solo album, Here in the Now, and in the bit he dressed as 70-year-old Barry, while Fallon went for vintage Gibb in a scene from the singer's fake children's series. The dynamic duo collaborated to harmonize in the Bee Gee-est way on a series of Halloween-themed phrases (think corn maze, leaf pile, horn of plenty). (Billboard)

Nas Crushes Matthew Perry in 'Name That Famous Celebrity'; Duets with Erykah Badu on 'This Bitter Land'. Nas is not typically a guy who plays games, but he stepped up and did his best on Wednesday night (Oct. 12) when he dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a round of "Name That Famous Celebrity." Facing off against Odd Couple star Matthew Perry in the blindfolded contest aimed at figuring out which famous person Kimmel pal Yehya was describing, the Queensbridge MC more than held his own in identifying Clint Eastwood, Chris Rock and Pharrell Williams. Nas also hit the stage with Erykah Badu to perform the song "This Bitter Land," which appears on the soundtrack to the hip-hop drama This Land, which stars Badu and was executive produced by the rapper. The Chainsmokers Throw Shade at Rihanna and Lady Gaga in New Interview. Are the Chainsmokers running out of puff? Social media (or at least some corners of it) seems to think so. The smoking-hot EDM duo of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall is taking online flak for their comments in an interview with Rolling Stone in which they threw shade at Lady Gaga and all-too-casually namechecked their famous new friends and admirers. The self-confessed "frat bro dudes" seem super-comfortable in their new circle of stars as they chat about the big bucks they earn, even when they're paid for not playing (Adobe booked them for a corporate party but apparently canceled and paid-out more than $80,000), their spending habits and their predilections for drinking coconut water on stage. They've worked on "one of the dopest songs we've ever written" with Coldplay's Chris Martin, according to Pall, while Bono "rolled up to our studio, all by himself," Taggart adds, "and played us some new U2 music." And when Rihanna rejected their demo for "Don't Let Me Down," it was OK, explained Pall, "because young unknown artists have this hunger-they're willing to work really hard." Which is to suggest that RiRi isn't (Daya ultimately contributed vocals to the track). Oh, and they "basically brain-raped" Calvin Harris. The party boys' comments have been pegged by some observers as "rude" and "awful." But it's Pall's comment about Gaga's new track "Perfect Illusion" which has gone down like a lead zeppelin. The track "sucks," he's quoted as saying, before scrunching up his nose mid-sentence as though "something's gone rancid on the seafood tower," according to the RS writer. Don't mess with Mother Monster. Angry Twitter uses are sharing their thoughts with the hashtag #TheChainsmokersAreOverParty. The Chainsmokers, however, are laughing all the way to the top of the charts. Their track "Closer" featuring Halsey, leads the Billboard Hot 100 for an eighth week. It's their third top 10 hit this year following "Don't Let Me Down" (No. 3) and "Roses" (No. 6). "Closer" notches up its ninth week at No. 1 on the Australia's singles survey, breaking the record for most weeks at No. 1 this year, previously held by Lukas Graham's "7 Years." (Billboard)

Knife Party & Tom Morello's 'Battle Sirens' Gets Twonky Brillz Makeover. Tom Morello is such a sick guitarist. He makes the sickest solos look easy, and sometimes, he does them with his mouth. As soon as he touches an axe, he lights up a room, which is exactly what a DJ is supposed to do. No wonder he was tapped by Knife Party for "Battle Sirens." Then the time came for an official remix, and Knife Party sought another character with enough energy to match Morello's vicious sting. "We had Brillz playing on our show in Dallas and he tore up the dance floor," Knife Party says. "We knew we wanted to work with him in some capacity, and we needed a remix for 'Battle Sirens,' so thought it would be just the match-and it is." The result is brash and bassy with tons of stomping drums and plenty of room for Morello to shine. If this doesn't make you want to get on the war path, nothing will. (Billboard)

Lil Yachty and LeBron James Team for Sprite Commercial. Lil Wayne might not know who Lil Yachty is, but the best basketballer on the planet sure does. The Atlanta rapper appears with Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James in a quirky new ad campaign for Sprite. The freshly-crowned NBA champ throws to Yachty (real name Miles McCollum) in a scene where the rising hip-hop star plays piano to a re-imagined version of "Minnesota," before taking himself a big swig of the fizzy stuff. As the 60-second spot reaches its climax, LeBron and some cool ring-ins drink up and get auto tuned as the "Minnesota" riff plays out. Sprite and hip-hop have a rich shared history. Earlier this year the drinks brand brought back its Obey Your Verse Lyrical Collection, featuring limited-edition packaging adorned with 16 song lyrics from 2Pac, Missy Elliott and J. Cole. Last year's inaugural Verse campaign, a spin on the beverage's Obey Your Thirst slogan that debuted in 1994, featured Drake, Nas, Rakim and The Notorious B.I.G. Ballers too have been endorsing Sprite for decades. Long before LeBron was steamrolling rivals on the hardwood, now-retired NBA great Grant Hill starred in a bunch of classic ads back in the '90s. Scarlett Johansson Gives an Update on Black Widow Spinoff Movie. It's hard to imagine a Marvel movie without Scarlett Johansson. The actress made her debut as Black Widow (a.k.a. Natasha Romanova) in 2010's Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey Jr. "I knew I wanted to be involved with Marvel and Jon Favreau," she says in Variety's Power of Women issue (which also honors Laverne Cox, Miley Cyrus, Ava DuVernay and Helen Mirren). "I always like Jon Favreau's stuff. The superhero genre was never a favorite, not that I didn't like it. I liked all the Tim Burton Batman movies, but I wasn't a big comic book fan growing up. I loved Iron Man. It spoke to me. I thought Robert's work was groundbreaking. It captured my attention as a person that isn't normally a fan of that genre." Getting into character proved to be a challenge. "The physical part of it was something I'd never gotten to experience. That was something that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I never had the opportunity to play a character in a franchise before, and to grow this character as I was growing as an actor," she says. But the challenge wasn't all physical. "As the character becomes stronger in many ways, I think she also becomes more vulnerable. Her vulnerability is a strength of hers," Johansson says of the Russian spy. "I think vulnerability is often seen as a weakness." Perhaps Johansson will get to explore that if Marvel Studios green-lights a spinoff movie, as it's done for Black Panter (Chadwick Boseman), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) Iron Man (Downey), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). She is certainly open to the idea. "I would like for it to happen under the right circumstances. I think there's a lot of opportunity to mine that story line," Johansson says. "She's got a really rich origins story. There's a lot of places you can go -- you can bring it back to Russia. You could explore the Widow program. There's all kinds of stuff that you could do with it. You could really uncover the identity of who this person is, where she comes from and where she's part of." A prequel is a "possibility," she says. "There's plenty of back-story. Or not. It could be something else. Where do the Avengers go? They are underground. What happens then? What happens after it all falls apart? There are so many ways you can go. I think it would just have to be very much like its own specific thing. It would have to have its own specific vibe. It would have been totally different than any of the other standalone films. I think if the fans wanted it enough, then it would probably become a reality...Marvel would know more than I do." In fact, she has talked to Marvel "often" about the idea. "It would have to fit in the idea of where they want to go," she explains. "I'm invested in that character. Marvel is greatly invested in that character." There's just one point of contention: "If I did it, I'd have to do it while I still actually wanted to wear a skin-tight catsuit," she tells Variety. "I don't know how much longer that's going to be." To date, Johansson has appeared in five Marvel movies. Being part of the Avengers franchise changed her careers in ways she had never before imagined. "I think for such a long time, I felt kind of pigeonholed as this ingenue -- this kind of girl who is floating between two worlds," the 31-year-old actress tells the magazine. "Maybe that was just a literal reflection of my life at that time. I'm a very curious person. I'm a really curious actor. The Marvel universe has opened up so many opportunities for me to stretch myself in ways that I never thought would be possible." (Eonline)

Final Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Trailer Released: Jyn Erso's Father Is at Darth Vader's Mercy. Enjoy your last look at Rogue One: A Star Wars Story before its Dec. 16 release. The film's final trailer debuted on Good Morning America Thursday. The year's most anticipated movie -- in theaters in 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D -- was directed by Gareth Edwards, produced by Simon Emanuel, Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur and executive produced by John Knoll and Jason McGatlin. The action-adventure movie stars Riz Ahmed, Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Genevieve O'Reilly, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker and Donnie Yen. As has been true of its seven predecessors in the Star Wars series, Rogue One's plot details have been kept to a minimum so as not to spoil the fun for audiences. "In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction," Lucasfilm says in the blockbuster's official synopsis. "This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves." The trailer opens with a flashback, in which Jyn Erso (Jones) remembers her father (Mikkelsen) telling her, "Whatever I do, I do it to protect you." Flash forward to the present day, when Jyn is recruited by the Rebel Alliance and asked to reveal her father's whereabouts. "It appears he is critical to the development of a super weapon," Mon Motha (O'Reilly) informs Jyn. That super weapon, of course, is the Death Star -- and Jyn will stop at nothing to rescue her father and disarm the space station. "If my father built this thing," she tells her fellow rebels, "we need to find him." Easier said than done, of course -- especially when it's revealed that her father is at Darth Vader's mercy. (Yup, he's back.) "We have hope," Jyn says. "Rebellions are built on hope." "Save the rebellion!" Saw Gerrera (Whitaker) shouts. "Save the dream." Jones appeared in a pre-taped interview after the trailer premiered. Speaking about her character, she said, "She's incredibly determined. She's an absolute survivor. At the same time, she has moments of great vulnerability and is not perfect. She's not a perfect human being." Mendelsohn, meanwhile, was more vague about playing a villain. "You will see me with people you know already, for sure," he said on Good Morning America. (Odds are he was talking about Darth Vader, but you never know!) Unlike the biggest movie of 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rogue One is a standalone film, not a continuation. The film's first trailer debuted to heavy fanfare in April, followed by a TV spot in August. Jones was careful not to reveal too many details when she appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show Thursday morning. "I am saying nothing. It's all finished. It was absolutely extraordinary. I had pretty much a life-changing experience making it. Every day you're turning up and you're looking up and there's a giant monkey shooting at you with a blaster -- with laser fire -- so it's pretty cool," the actress told host Nick Grimshaw. Later, Jones said, "I've seen parts of it, and it's really cool, but I haven't seen it all yet. I'm anxiously and eagerly waiting to see it." Filming Rogue One was a dream come true for the Oscar-nominated actress. "It's a little bizarre, when you get back home and you're buying a pint of milk, and you think, 'I've just been talking to a little, many-tentacled creature all day. This is a strange, strange life,'" Jones admitted. Later, she told Grimshaw, "It's very cool -- especially when you go to work and they say to you, 'Can you just pretend that you're in hyperspace?' Which, you know, you don't get to do that every day." (Eonline)

People usually run away from Leatherface, but hundreds came out for the grand opening of The Gas Station ... the key location where "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was filmed. Roy Rose, owner of the new Texas BBQ joint and motel, tells TMZ ... they had a packed house -- people waited in line almost 3 hours. He says they hired a cook for the opening, and the trial run went so well he's now their full-time guy. We're told a ton of merch was sold in the gift shop, and special guests included Ed Neal and Ed Guinn -- who played the hitchhiker and the cattle truck driver in the OG movie. As you can see in the pics ... some other interesting characters showed up too. Roy says they showed "Texas Chainsaw 3D" on a big screen, and he'll be serving up more killer barbecue Halloween weekend. (TMZ)

'Doctor Strange' Director Addresses Whitewashing Controversy. As the Marvel film kicks off its international press tour in Hong Kong, Scott Derrickson lauds Benedict Cumberbatch as "a total trouper" and Tilda Swinton says the star's baby boy made his presence known on set. Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, producer Kevin Feige and director Scott Derrickson met the press in Hong Kong on Thursday on the first stop of the international press tour for latest Marvel film Doctor Strange. Swinton's casting as the Ancient One has caused critics to speak of whitewashing, since the original character in the comic book is Tibetan. But Feige and Derrickson insisted that the role in the film was written for Swinton, and they would have had to rewrite the script if Swinton had not been available. "Looking at Marvel movies, I think that we're missing a major character that is Tilda's age and has this kind of strength and power," said Derrickson, expanding on a Twitter comment he had made earlier in the year. "The Ancient One in the comics is a very old American stereotype of what Eastern characters and people are like, and I felt very strongly that we need to avoid those stereotypes at all costs." Swinton, who has also said that she wasn't asked to play an Asian character, meanwhile, revealed Thursday that Cumberbatch's baby boy made his presence known on the set of the film. "Your baby was a great distraction," Swinton joked in addressing Cumberbatch. "The set just stops when his baby appears," added Derrickson. Cumberbatch's son was born in June 2015, and shooting started in November. "We were running at four hours of sleep and a lot of caffeine," said Cumberbatch about the experience. Doctor Strange charts the journey of neurosurgeon Stephen Strange whose career is ruined by a car crash and becomes the Sorcerer Supreme of multiple dimensions under the tutelage of the Ancient One. Doctor Strange and all the Marvel films are made by Marvel super-fans, said Cumberbatch, so that fans of the comic books need not worry. "Thankfully we have a studio boss who is also a massive fanboy, there is nothing [Feige] does not know about the original comics," said Cumberbatch. "So, together with the rest of his team, it's done out of love, and there's a huge amount of respect - respect for detail." Swinton said she enjoyed the fight scenes in the movie the most. "The greatest fun for me was the fighting," she said. "That was a great thrill. And possibly the most difficult thing was casting spells while remembering the lines. That was a tricky thing. But truly, it was a blast." Cumberbatch said the most fun part for him was also the hardest. "It's the most extraordinary character journey he goes on," he said. "This man was part of a very material, logic-driven, binary world, something we essentially experience everyday of our lives, he is obviously very much ahead in his profession. And he has his whole world turned upside-down in a car crash, both physically and mentally. It's the destruction of him to create something new. He has healing in his hand, and he used it for his own gain. To play that part, there are countless different stages, from a confident man, to a broken man, and then slowly turning into a Marvel superhero. While that was hard, it was also the most enjoyable." Director Derrickson commended on Cumberbatch's physical stunt work for the film. "What a lot of people don't understand is that when an actor performs a lot of his own stunts, as Benedict did in this movie, it's very physically demanding," he said. "So when I think about the production, a lot of what comes to mind is Benedict being in physical pain, and having to perform in situations where he is getting hit, getting kicked, being in harnesses, doing very difficult things. It's unpleasant but he was a total trouper and kept getting better and better as we went along." Doctor Strange is the origin story of the titular character that made his debut in comic book form in 1963, steeped in Marvel's own brand of mysticism and 1960s psychedelia. "In, not just the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also in comic books and comic book movies, there is always a need and a necessity to explain where the superpowers come from," said producer and Marvel Studios president Feige. "And in the comics and certainly in the MCU, an explanation always has a grounded basis." He added: "When you talk about magic and mystery, you talk about something that defies explanation. Magic by definition is mysterious. It taps into things that you don't fully understand. That's what makes magic magic. The very nature of the supernatural is that it defies easy explanation. It goes beyond the limits of what we really understand. And that's why I am always drawn to it, [to] the fantastic and supernatural, and [it] taps into our own sense of awe. Those are the kind of stories I'd like to watch and I'd like to tell." Doctor Strange will have its world premiere in Hong Kong on Thursday night and will be released in theaters there on Oct. 27, a week ahead of its North American bow. "Doctor Strange is a very exciting character who goes on a fantastic journey in this film," said Cumberbatch. And a wonderful director, and a studio which knows exactly what it is doing, thanks very much to [Feige]. I think the audience is in for a truly spectacular, very heartfelt, at times funny, really thrilling journey." (Hollywood Reporter)

American Horror Story: Roanoke: Evan Peters Is Finally Here and Everything Has Changed. Finally, the face we've been waiting for! We're not talking about real life historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who appeared in the night's American Horror Story to tell us the story of Edward Mott, the builder of the house on Roanoke Island, but we are talking about the guy playing Edward Mott: Evan Peters. Peters finally showed his face in tonight's episode as Mott, the house's original owner, who ran off, away from his wife and kids, to be with his servants and his boyfriend. It was Evan in all his glory, complete with a ridiculous accent, a pretty hot bathtub scene, and multiple amazing temper tantrums over the state of his beloved paintings. He even abandoned his boyfriend over one of his paintings being ruined, which would have been super sad if Mott then weren't immediately burned on a spit over the fire (like a pig??) by the colonists. According to Goodwin, the house stayed in the family "until the last Mott died in Florida in 1952." AKA, Dandy (Finn Wittrock), from Freak Show. Everything has come full circle! Mott, who's now definitely dead, later showed up in front of Shelby, Matt, and Flora to help them escape both the angry mob of colonists outside and the dead former residents inside. He said he'd keep them alive, and led them through a creepy crawly tunnel underground before leaving them alone in the woods. Luckily, the redneck guys from the first episode found them, put bags on their heads, and took them to the house where they first found those feral boys. In that house, they found Elias, who was still alive but in very bad shape. He was bloody and missing limbs, mumbling, "Mama took my leg" and begging for death. "Mama" turned out to be Frances Conroy, who was clearly in charge of this small band of men. Apparently, the Polks (for that is their name, you see) guarded the island and helped make sure the Butcher and the colonists got their human sacrifice every year. They had intended to buy the house in order to keep it empty, so that all this crap wouldn't be happening. After Mama instructed her boys to smash Elias' head in to end his suffering, the Polks put Shelby, Matt, and Flora in a truck on the way back to the house, and Shelby and Matt stupidly tried to be heroes and escape. This went badly, and Shelby ended up nearly getting her ankle chopped off. Matt, Shelby, and Flora were dumped back at the house, right in front of the Butcher, and apparently it was Flora's turn to be a human sacrifice first...until Wes Bentley stepped up. He hit his mom on the head and threw her into the fire, saying he didn't want to spill any more innocent blood, and then Lee finally returned from the police station with a car. Edward got Matt and Shelby untied, Lee hit Flora's attacker, the piggy man, with her car, and then they all got in that car and drove away. They went to the hospital, found the cheapest motel they could, got some food, took some showers, and then had bad dreams for the rest of their lives, but otherwise lived OK. So...that's the end of Matt and Shelby's story? It kind of seems that way, and we do know that next week's episode changes everything, but this seems sort of sudden. What could the rest of the season possibly hold? American Horror Story airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX. (Eonline)

'The Good Wife' to Get Russian Remake. Sony Pictures Television will also adapt 'Doc Martin' and 'Mad Dogs' for the country. Sony Pictures Television is expanding into drama production in Russia with local versions of The Good Wife, Doc Martin and Mad Dogs as the country continues to see remakes of popular foreign shows. SPT's Russian production company Lean-M struck a development deal with national network NTV to produce local adaptations of CBS hit show The Good Wife (Khoroshaya Zhena) and British crime drama Mad Dogs (Besheny Psy), both of which are set to go into production next year. "Mad Dogs and The Good Wife are both very interesting formats, and we are happy that they will be developed for NTV by Lean-M, a company that is well-known in Russia for its quality adaptations of foreign formats for the Russian market," said Timur Weinstein, NTV's general producer. The Good Wife is popular in Russia, while Mad Dogs is relatively unknown. Lean-M will also produce Doctor Martov, a Russian adaptation of U.K. Doc Martin, for the country's largest television network Channel One. The 16-episode series is set to air in 2017. Also, state-run broadcaster Rossiya 1 commissioned The Midwives (Akusherka), a four-hour limited series adaptation of SPT's 2001 TV movie Midwives. SPT's new projects in Russia come as remakes of popular foreign shows are on the rise. Just recently, the local remake of The Mentalist was announced. SPT's most successful Russian project so far has been The Voronins, a local adaptation of U.S. comedy Everybody Loves Raymond, which has become the country's longest-running comedy series. Remakes of The Good Wife have been done in Ireland and Korea. (Hollywood Reporter)
