Is Ciara Pregnant With Baby No. 2? Is Ciara about to become a mom again? That's the question on many fans' minds recently, particularly on the heels of her recent public appearance as Revlon's newest global brand ambassador. The "Goodies" songstress arrived to the Refinery Hotel in New York City on Tuesday night in honor of the brand dressed in an all-white ensemble with a loose fitting tuxedo jacket. "Baby bumpin," one fan commented on Instagram. "Exactly...," another fan quipped back. While she has not commented on the speculation, two sources do tell E! News the 30-year-old is expecting. "Ciara is pregnant and is so excited to be a mom," one source told E! News. "Russell [Wilson] would like to have two to three children. They both would like a big family." The "1, 2 Step" singer and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback married three months ago in front of close friends and family at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Ciara is already a mother to 2-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn, whom she had with ex-fiance Future. While the pro football player does not have any children from his previous marriage, the athlete constantly gushes about his stepson and having that role in his life. "It's a blessing. He's such a special kid and he's so smart. He's active as can be. He loves sports -- loves running around," he told E!'s Sibley Scoles. "I love kids. She does, too, and hopefully God willing..as long as they're healthy, that's what we pray for whether it's a boy or girl -- who knows -- but we've got some time for that." Meanwhile, his wife has already been working on projects with girls in mind, particularly when she led a conversation with young women from I AM THAT GIRL and Keds in celebration of Women's Equality Day in late August. "Days like this when we get together with I AM THAT GIRL and we're able to talk to the young girls around the world, from all different places, it's really important to be able to share your wisdom to help them in their lives too. And I also got to gain some things from them as well," she told E! News at the time. "I do think about, like, one day I may have a daughter." Is that day possibly sooner than we think? (Eonline)
Just last week Shia LaBeouf and girlfriend Mia Goth were married in a (not so) secret ceremony in Vegas. There was some speculation that the wedding was merely a 'performance', but now, Shia has confirmed it was totally legit. The couple, who reportedly got engaged in 2015, got hitched in a Las Vegas wedding chapel, with an Elvis impersonator reading their vows, which apparently included promises to "adopt each other's hound dogs," "never wear their blue suede shoes in the rain," and "always be each other's teddy bear." O...k then! The wedding was apparently last minute, though photographers managed to capture images of the nuptials. Some questioned whether the marriage was real or simply an art performance by Shia, but the actor has since shut down rumors. Speaking to Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres show, Shia claimed they intended the wedding to be private. "Part of the package - the 'King Tut' package - you get a livestream for free," he said. "I said, 'We don't really need that, as a matter of fact. We'll just take our little private tape. We had our moms there. They said 'no problem.' We get back home and it's like, whoa, hey, listen, something changed. I called them up, they said, 'Somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ.' I said, I understood and I checked with my girl and she's like, 'Hey, what are you gonna do?' It was love. So we're proud of it. It was love." The actor and actress went public news of their engagement earlier this year when a lucky (and probably baffled) cashier at a grocery store was apparently the first to hear the good news when Shia told him. The source also said that Mia was sporting a big old rock on her engagement finger. Either way - congratulations! (British Glamour)
Ellen DeGeneres Shoots Down Divorce Rumors Once and for All: Portia de Rossi's "Not Going Anywhere." Ellen DeGeneres is silencing tabloid noise that her marriage to Portia de Rossi is on the fritz. Over the years, the comedienne has spoken out time and time again in response to rumors pitting the longtime lovebirds against each other. But as her most recent interview with People indicates, there's no nasty divorce battle here, and in fact, Ellen and Portia are stronger than ever. "There's no best part [about being married.] It's everything," DeGeneres admitted. "I can't imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world." The talk show host, 58, married the 43-year-old Scandal actress back in 2008, four years after they officially became a couple. Of making her marriage to "best friend" de Rossi work, Ellen continued, "Portia and I constantly say to each other, 'We are so lucky.' Sometimes it's lying in bed at night before I go to sleep, and I just say thank you to whatever, whoever is out there." "I've gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I'm not going anywhere. She's not going anywhere. I'm not saying the relationship took a while; I'm saying in my life, it took a while to find this," she added. With exceptionally demanding professional lives, the Finding Dory star revealed it's crucial to go the extra mile in making each other feel special. "Our priorities are each other too," DeGeneres said. "If we had kids, then I'm sure they would be, but we are. And that's important." She explained, "I think the word 'love' is thrown around, like, 'I love you' is great to hear, but you want to feel it,. You want to feel that you're understood, and they know exactly who you are, and they know how to take care of you..." Cue the Awws! (Eonline)
Lady GaGa Talks The 'Toxic' & 'Alienating' Side Of Fame -- And Wonders If She'll Ever Be Seen 'As A Person' Again! Fame can be a monster... Lady GaGa is more or less at the make it or break it point in her career as she enters her Joanne era, but it doesn't sound like she's completely feeling her fame right now. That's because when the A-Yo singer stopped by SiriusXM's radio show Feedback on Monday to promote her fifth studio set, she got surprisingly candid about how "toxic" and "alienating" being a celebrity can be! Sure, she may have 64 million Twitter followers... but she's still just a regular girl at heart. Apparently, the A-Lister doesn't love the illusion of perfection that comes with being famous -- and actually admitted she misses human contact with the outside world, saying: "Fame is so alienating and it's toxic for the creative process, for me, because I need human connection in order to write music. If I go to a bar or to the grocery store or wherever and I try to talk to somebody and the whole time they're screaming or trying to take a picture, I can't get to know them. I can't ask them a question. I can't learn about their life or share something about mine. I don't get asked very often, you know, really super deep things about myself and that is hard and it's scary. Really scary because you just feel like, 'Will I ever, ever again talk to somebody and have them see me as a person?'" While we can't picture her at a grocery store by any means -- we do get her point. Constantly being "on" is a ton of work! Although, her breakup from Taylor Kinney probably isn't helping much either... (Perez Hilton)
Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals the Two Animated Movies She Was Fired From: "Apparently I Was a Bad Ant." Hollywood can be a cutthroat industry, even for some of the town's most beloved stars. While Sarah Jessica Parker has found huge success on both the big and small screen, the actress has also experienced a few surprises along the way. In fact, the Sex and the City star endured not one but two firings from animated movies. "I was fired from Antz, that animated movie. And I was fired from Home on the Range, that other animated movie," she shared on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show Tuesday morning. "Apparently I was a bad ant." She continued, "I can't remember which movie fired me first. The first time they were like, 'we're going in a different direction,' which I always heard as a joke and that one was a cow." While Sarah did "many sessions" for both of the animated movies, it wasn't enough to keep her spot in the cast. But if it's any consolation, the star who replaced her in Antz is also pretty legendary. "I had my own [voice] and then they brought in Sharon Stone so I was like oh you really did go in a different direction," she joked. "What was upsetting was they even called me like the week before they fired me. They called to tell me how great I was, which I felt was like a set up but I think they meant it at that time." Fast-forward several years later and Sarah can absolutely laugh about it now. After all, she continues to have huge success thanks to her role as a designer, editorial director and actress. "When I found out about Antz, I was walking around with [husband] Matthew Broderick and we were looking for an apartment to buy and then I got a call and they're like 'hey listen' and I was like I can't believe I'm about to purchase a home," she shared. As they like to say, timing is everything. (Eonline)
For 19 long days, Brad Pitt patiently waited to be reunited with his six children. He stood by as Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne underwent counseling to help them prep for the visit. As a Pitt insider explains in the new issue of Us Weekly, "He wanted to make sure the meeting would be the most productive for the kids." But when the group finally gathered October 8 at one of the L.A.-area homes Pitt, 52, once shared with estranged wife Angelina Jolie, the result was awkward at best. With Maddox refusing to attend -- "He chose not to go and stayed with Angie," says a Jolie confidante -- and a therapist monitoring close by, the get-together was anything but a picture-perfect, hug-filled homecoming. Says a source, "It wasn't full of joy and happiness." Determined to do everything by the book, Pitt waited nearly a month after Jolie, 41, blindsided him by filing for divorce and requesting full physical custody of the kids September 19 to set up a meeting with his children. Per the voluntary agreement he and Jolie signed off on in late September -- based on recommendations from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services -- all six of the kids had to undergo sessions with a therapist before the visit. "He and Angie agreed on steps that needed to be completed," says a source. "He wanted to wait until the timing was best." But for all his efforts, the War Machine star couldn't make the visit run smoothly. "It was emotional for him," says a source. Maddox's snub wasn't taken lightly. A Jolie source says the teen, who argued with Pitt during a September 14 flight on a private jet, was effectively choosing sides. (Because he's older than 14, by California law he can decide which parent he'd prefer to live with.) Adopted by Jolie in 2002, two years before she fell for Pitt, "Maddox is very close with Angie," explains the source. Jolie insiders deny Maddox has made up his mind about custody -- however, one source does say that if Jolie is done with Pitt, Maddox is too. "He doesn't really see himself as Brad's son," a source says of the Cambodia native, legally adopted by Pitt in 2006. Another Jolie source is more blunt: "Maddox never wants to see Brad again." Pitt isn't even sure when he'll get the chance to try. While the parenting agreement, in place until October 20, gives the exes shared legal custody, Jolie continues to have sole physical custody. A Jolie insider says the actress "is not trying to poison the kids against Brad. ... She wants them to have a relationship with him once their health and safety is assured." But, says a source, "no other visitations have been scheduled." (US Weekly)
"Spider-Man" star Tobey Maguire and his Hollywood scion wife, Jennifer Meyer, revealed on Tuesday that they're splitting after nine years of marriage. And sources tell Page Six that Maguire's already been taking a page from the book of his longtime best friend, the 41-year-old club crawler, Leonardo DiCaprio. Multiple sources told Page Six that the split between Maguire, 41 and Meyer, 39 -- the daughter of CAA co-founder and NBCUniversal vice chairman Ron Meyer -- was in the works for "many months." And Maguire has been "seen with and without Leo" hitting LA's clubs for months, a source said. One Hollywood nightlife habitue told us that over the summer: "Tobey was out in LA at all these hot spots .?.?. It looked like he was following in [supermodel maven] Leo's footsteps .?.?. Tobey hasn't been known to date those types of girls in the past. But he has been all over LA lately. It looks like Leo's rubbed off on him." In late July, Maguire was with DiCaprio and his current gal pal Nina Agdal on a private yacht in Ibiza, Spain. But a source familiar with the star said that while newly single Maguire's been on the town, "it's not a secret -- Jen knows. Jen goes out, too. These two people are the best of friends, there is no third party involved and there is no animosity. He's just going to clubs with Leo -- that's what's happening." A different source said Maguire's been going out "more often than usual" to DiCaprio fave 1Oak in LA. He was at supper club Delilah with actor Shane Powers on Friday, where "there were lots of hot girls," according to a source, but, "Tobey seemed fine. He was just enjoying being out with guy friends." Back in the day, young Maguire was part of Leo's infamous late-'90s "p?-?-?-?y posse." A more mature Maguire -- now a father of two, who met Meyer in 2003 before a 2007 wedding -- told People in a joint statement with Jen: "After much soul searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate .?.?. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children .?.?. with enduring love, respect and friendship." (Page Six)
Richard Gere and Carey Lowell's Divorce Finalized Three Years After They Split. Richard Gere and Carey Lowell are officially over. Just over three years after the Hollywood couple initially separated, E! News can confirm their divorce was finalized Tuesday. Details of the settlement were not immediately disclosed. The Pretty Woman star and Lowell tied the knot in 2002, seven years after Gere split from supermodel Cindy Crawford in 1995. Richard and Carey share one child together, a 16-year-old son named Homer. When Lowell filed for divorce, insiders told Page Six, who was first to report the news, their romance turned south over lifestyle differences. According to the outlet, 67-year-old Gere preferred privacy while Lowell, 55, enjoyed socializing. In 2015, E! News reported Richard had found love again with 33-year-old Spanish socialite Alejandra Silva. The two were recently spotted in June getting cozy on the red carpet of the Taormina Film Festival in Italy. Gere was previously linked to Padma Lakshmi for about six months back in 2014. (Eonline)
They're brave! Rihanna's employees clearly aren't scared of being fired because they pulled a hilarious prank on 'Boss Appreciation Day.' The "Work" singer posted a photo of her Fenty Corp team's antics on Instagram on Tuesday, October 18, proving they'd gone all out to celebrate their boss. The group had not only had a giant pinata of Rihanna made, complete with her signature henna tattoos and a wild hair do, but they'd included a bell labeled with "bitch please" too. "When you don't show up to the office for #BossAppreciationDay #TheCorp#FentyCorp #pinata #FiredThemAll" the pop star and fashion designer captioned the photo. As if to sweeten the blow they'd also spelled out "BOSS" in letter balloons, and surrounded the word with hearts too. "I ?? my employees!" Rihanna then wrote. "Thanks Michelle." The 28-year-old's staff know she has a wicked sense of humor since last year she shared a funny fake "Employee Handbook" with some ridiculous rules. "Each employee will receive 104 personal days," one read. "They are called Saturday & Sunday." She also joked about taking sick days off. "We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work." Rihanna showed off the full Fenty collection, which is only in its second year, at Paris Fashion Week in September. (US Weekly)
Azealia Banks is sticking to her story -- that Russell Crowe choked her, spit on her and called her the n-word over the weekend ... and adds her so-called pal, RZA, essentially has no balls in Hollywood. We got Azealia in Century City and she explained her version of what happened at Russell's disastrous Beverly Hills Hotel dinner party -- and it sounds like she tried making a joke which bombed and then things got ugly, fast. In her eyes, she bruised some egos and then suddenly she was being choked, spit on and called racial slurs by Crowe. As for whether she used the n-word ... Azealia cops to it, but believes she has a good excuse. She also plays it coy about following through on criminal charges against Crowe. (TMZ)
Playboy model Katie May died as the result of visiting a chiropractor for an adjustment, which ultimately left her with a fatal tear to an artery in her neck ... according to the L.A. County Coroner. TMZ obtained a copy of Katie's death certificate, and it clears up a huge mystery surrounding her sudden death in February. The document says she died when a blunt force injury tore her left vertebral artery, and cut off blood flow to her brain. It also says the injury was sustained during a "neck manipulation by chiropractor." Her death is listed as accidental. As TMZ first reported, Katie -- known as the "Queen of Snapchat" -- had taken a nasty fall during a photo shoot. She thought she had a pinched nerve and went to an L.A. chiropractor on Friday. She suffered a stroke on Monday, and remained on life support until Thursday. Katie's family is aware of the coroner's findings. They would not comment on whether they or her estate would pursue legal action. (TMZ)
THE OTHER STUFF . . .
Kate Middleton Has a Total Mom Moment When She Gushes About Princess Charlotte's Love of Horses. We love when Kate Middleton goes into mommy mode. While some may argue she never technically turns that side of her off, it's still pleasant to see the Duchess of Cambridge's eyes light up when talking about her precious heirs to the throne, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And that's exactly what happened on Tuesday during a special Buckingham Palace reception in honor of the nation's leading athletes. While admiring the men and women who earned medals at the Rio Games, Middleton shared that her 17-month old daughter has grown a love for horses while Prince George was a fan of swimming. "I asked her how are the children, and she said George really enjoyed the fencing and Charlotte really enjoyed her riding. It obviously got to her and maybe she will be here in a few years' time," equestrian gold medalist Natasha Baker said about her chat with the royal. "She emphasized that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn't echo it, she'll do her best to champion and encourage it." As a supporting and loving mother does. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh hosted the celebratory evening and were joined by Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, the Duke of York and the Princess Royal, all of whom welcomed 240 guests including Prime Minister Theresa May. Guests included gold medal-winning boxer Nicola Adams, Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds, who claimed her fifth gold medal after winning the 200m medley, and equestrian Lee Pearson, who won a gold and silver in Brazil. And while fashion is not an Olympic event, Kate took the gold yet again when it came to her style, donning a beautiful floral frock by none other than Alexander McQueen. (Eonline)
Ellen DeGeneres is nothing if not grateful. From her Emmy-winning talk show, to ED by Ellen -- her line of clothing, accessories and home goods -- the Finding Dory star is the first to admit her life is blessed. "I'm grateful for everything. I'm grateful for my health, and I'm so grateful for the love in my life," she tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Because not everybody finds that. Not everybody finds that best friend." Having married actress Portia de Rossi in 2008, DeGeneres, 58, insists she has learned to never take their relationship for granted. "Portia and I constantly say to each other, 'We are so lucky.' Sometimes it's lying in bed at night before I go to sleep, and I just say thank you to whatever, whoever is out there," she says. "I've gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I'm not going anywhere. She's not going anywhere. I'm not saying the relationship took a while; I'm saying in my life, it took a while to find this." When it comes to love, "you get what you give," DeGeneres adds. "I think you can't expect someone to treat you a certain way. Whatever it is, if you're getting a lot of negative energy or anger, you have to say, 'Why am I getting this? Am I doing something to create it?' And if the answer is honestly no, then get out of that situation." Now living in L.A. with their three dogs and three cats, the couple have always strived to put their marriage first despite their busy careers. "Our priorities are each other too," she says. "If we had kids, then I'm sure they would be, but we are. And that's important." DeGeneres defines family as "people who get you. I think the word 'love' is thrown around, like, 'I love you' is great to hear, but you want to feel it," she says. "You want to feel that you're understood, and they know exactly who you are, and they know how to take care of you. That, to me, is family. I don't think it has anything to do with blood relation. Family for everyone is different." So what's the best part about being married? "There's no best part. It's everything," DeGeneres adds. "I can't imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world." (People)
Lindsay Lohan's recent humanitarian visit to Syrian refugee camps in Turkey bizarrely ties in to her new nightclub -- named Lohan -- in Athens, Greece. Page Six has learned that Lohan and her team plan to offer an energy drink to refugees. According to an insider, Lohan has partnered with a German energy drink, Mintanine. The beverage, which is available at Lohan's eponymous Greek nightclub, will also be supplied at the refugee camps. "There's hardly food, water or anything," else at the camp, explained a source close to LiLo, "so at this point sending anything is helpful." We guess so? "This is all part of Lindsay's mission to help refugees," the source explained. Mintanine is described on its Website as a "blue caffeine lemonade" and "lifestyle drink" with the tag line -- "Blue tastes woohoo." It recently sponsored a Playboy club tour in Frankfurt, Germany. As for any health benefits for the thirsty refugees, "We do not use synthetic flavors or caffeine, no taurin, no aspartam, no inosit, but natural guarana," says the site. Lohan and her Greek club partner Dennis Papageorgiou -- whom the source close to Lohan says the star isn't dating despite pictures of them kissing at another nightclub -- are planning to expand their venture. We're told there are investors interested in another Lohan club location in London, and LiLo and her squad are looking for partners in Hong Kong. (Page Six)
It's been a few months since Emma Stone had to take care of a vomiting Jennifer Lawrence after a big night out at an Adele concert, but Lawrence is finally repaying the favor: She showed up looking lovely to support her pal at an N.Y.C. screening of La La Land. The two posed for photos looking like the charmingly adorable style stars they are: Stone wore a pale yellow dress with an antique floral print and strappy silver sandals, while Lawrence donned a bustier top and wide-leg pants. It's been a busy month for both, stylewise: Stone landed the cover of Vogue (and in doing so, introduced the world to her amazing Britney Spears impression), while Jennifer Lawrence jetted to Paris for the Dior show and modeled the Diorever and the Diorama bags in their latest ad campaign. And they've got plenty else to catch up on, including getting to star with two of the hottest guys in Hollywood: Ryan Gosling in Stone's La La Land and Chris Pratt in Lawrence's Passengers, out later this year. But something tells us they probably just put on Adele, poured some tall glasses of wine and reprised their epic squad dinner from earlier this year. (People)
Amy Schumer delivered an open letter to Tampa, Florida two days after audience members walked out of her show on Sunday night. The actress and writer read the letter at her show in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night in New York City. "I've written an open letter to Tampa and I'd like to read it tonight," she began. "Dearest Tampa, I'm sorry you didn't want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?" As the audience began laughing, Schumer continued reading, joking "After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy. Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people -- who've been tricked into it!" "And Tampa, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster," she said, adding "Shouldn't have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster!" Before Tuesday night's show, Schumer took to Instagram, posting that her New York show would be "squeaky clean" in the aftermath of Florida's Sunday performance. She posted a picture introducing fellow comedians who would appear on her Madison Square Garden performance, captioning the photo with "And so are these gals! @rachelfeinstein @marknormand and I are putting on a squeaky clean show #msg #tampaapologytour." The 35-year-old comedian told PEOPLE in a statement on Monday that she loved performing in Florida and thanked the audience that stayed after the debacle was over. "I loved the crowd and my show in Tampa last night! I want to thank the 8,400 people who stayed. We had a great time!" the statement read. "We have always depended on comedians to make us laugh and tell the truth. I am proud to continue that tradition." On Sunday, Schumer took a break from her sexually charged comedy routine to focus on Donald Trump, calling him an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster," according to the Tampa Bay Times. She invited an audience member onstage to ask him about his decision to vote for Trump. "Do you get worried at all with how impulsive he is, that he gets so fired up from Saturday Night Live doing a skit on him?" she asked. "Do you worry he'll be impulsive and get us in a lot of f -- -- trouble we can't get out of?" When audience members began booing her, Schumer reportedly told security to kick out anyone who made noise during her set and added that anyone upset could leave. "Of course, we're in Florida, you're going to boo," she said during the show. "I know you're here to laugh, but you choose how you're going to live your life, and it's just too important." (People)
President Obama's Kenyan-born, half-brother Malik was to be in the audience in Las Vegas Wednesday night when Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off in their third and final debate. Malik -- an American citizen who lives in Washington, DC, when he's not in Kenya -- says he will be a guest of Trump, the Republican nominee he supports for president. "I'm excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again," Malik told The Post. "I look very much forward to meeting and being with Malik," Trump said. "He gets it far better than his brother." Malik agrees with Trump that the mainstream media is biased, and he dismisses the women who claim Trump kissed or groped them without their permission. "I don't believe them," Malik said. "Why didn't they come forward before?" Malik also blasted Clinton's performance as secretary of the State Department for exacerbating the chaos and violence in the Mideast. Malik said ousted Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy had been a good friend. "Check out the situation in Libya now," he said. The Barack H. Obama Foundation -- Malik named it after his and the president's father -- would be better able to help the family's village of Kogelo, Kenya, "if I had gotten the support I should have gotten from my brother," Malik said. Malik, who is three years older than Barack, said he last saw his sibling in August 2015 after the president had visited Kenya. "I went to the White House to say hello. I paid a courtesy call," he said. But it wasn't a very warm and loving reception. "As usual, it was a hands-off kind of thing, very businesslike, very formal," Malik said. Though Trump held a press conference with three Bill Clinton accusers before the second debate in St. Louis, Malik said he is not participating in any such conference in Las Vegas. (Page Six)
Donald Trump will have one of Sin City's biggest names in his corner on Wednesday night for the final presidential debate -- none other than "Mr. Las Vegas" himself, Wayne Newton. The 74-year-old crooner will join the billionaire as a guest at UNLV, describing Tuesday in an interview with WABC radio host Rita Cosby how he owes him a big "Danke Schoen" for his friendship and advice over the years. "I hope I see him before the debate," Newton said. "I consider myself to be that kind of friend, and he has been that kind of friend to me... I would like to give him the same advice, and that is: don't be suckered in by your opponent and let her pull you into conversations that are beneath you. Stay with what's important, and that is the American people." The Las Vegas headliner went on to defend the Donald, insisting that the sexual assault allegations he was being bombarded with in recent weeks were untrue. "I have never seen him treat women in a derisive way in any form or fashion," Newton said. "I have never seen him under any circumstances react in an irresponsible way toward a lady. I have never seen him say unkind things to a lady. I have never seen him say an unkind word to anybody. He is a fighter, that's what he's done his whole life, and unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on which side of the aisle you're on, that's what people are clawing into." Newton, who made a guest appearance on "The Apprentice" in 2013, said he believed the lewd comments Trump made about women in 2005 were a simple lapse in judgement. "The unfortunate thing that I understand that so many people don't, is I have been the victim myself of walking into a studio and them putting a microphone on you, and then turning you lose for two or three hours to go do what you're going to do," Newton explained. "Unfortunately, he said some things he shouldn't have said, but haven't we all, OK? And don't we learn the most from the things that we do wrong instead of the things we do right? He has learned from those things." Wednesday's 90-minute debate will take place at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas at 9 p.m. ET. Chris Wallace, of Fox News, will be the moderator. (Page Six)

Gwen Stefani Performs With Blake Shelton at State Dinner. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton come as a package deal, apparently. Stefani performed at President Barack Obama's final State Dinner in Washington, D.C., Tuesday night, and she decided to share the stage with Shelton, her boyfriend of a year. Stefani sang some of her solo hits in front of a star-studded audience that included Giorgio Armani, Vice President Joe Biden, Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, First Lady Michelle Obama, singer Frank Ocean, Food Network star Rachael Ray, comedian Jerry Seinfeld, musician James Taylor and John Turturro. Stefani, 47, asked Shelton, 40, to join her in singing their duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." After her closing set was over, Stefani shook POTUS' hand. During the dinner, the pair was seated at the same table, though they were placed at opposite ends. After enjoying a meal prepared by chef Mario Batali, The Voice mentors were seen mingling with chef Sandra Lee and her boyfriend, New York governor Andrew Cuomo. Earlier that morning, Stefani visited the White House with sons Kingston Rossdale, 10, Zuma Rossdale, 8, and Apollo Rossdale, 2. The family posed for a picture in the Oval Office with the State Dinner's guests of honor, Italy's Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini, as well as with the Obamas. Renzi, 41, shared the group portrait on Facebook. Suffice to say, Stefani was on cloud nine Tuesday. It all started when NBC's Today announced that she will be returning to The Voice next season with Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Shelton. Taylor Swift Previews Her Grand Prix Performance This Weekend With Behind-the-Scenes Rehearsal Clips. Get ready Taylor Swift fans, your girl is about to take center stage this weekend. The Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes footage of her rehearsing with her band ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Saturday night. And considering how long it's been since T.Swift performed live -- her last major concert was the final night of her mega-successful 1989 Tour -- fans all around the globe are already gearing up for her show this weekend. Shortly after posting the two clips of her singing some of her most popular hits at a studio, the 26-year-old shared a video addressing fans directly about this weekend's main event. "Hey guys, can't wait to see you this weekend in Austin, Texas," she said before cracking a joke with the cameraman. So what can we all expect to see come Saturday night? Well, by the looks of what T.Swift has shared, it seems as though we'll be getting to hear her sing "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" as well as "Fifteen." Only time will tell whether or not Taylor performs a brand new song for the sold-out crowd, but one thing's for certain, anticipation is at an all-time high. But Taylor isn't the only famous face taking the stage this weekend during the Grand Prix, Usher is expected to headline the concert the following evening. (Eonline)
There may be no force on earth that can stop a crowd of Justin Bieber fans from screaming uncontrollably in the presence of their idol -- not even Justin Bieber himself. During a recent concert in Birmingham, England, the pop star begged and pleaded with the audience to pause its cacophony of excitement so he could say a few words. "Can you guys do me a favor?" Bieber asked in a moment captured on social media. "Can you guys just relax for like two seconds?" Sounding increasingly weary, the "Purpose" singer explained that he appreciates "all the love," but "the screaming is just so obnoxious." Perhaps, he suggested, everyone could scream after the songs. "And then take a chill pill for a second and just listen to me speak. I don't feel like I'm being heard sometimes and it gets a little frustrating. So if when I'm speaking you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs, is that cool with you guys? Can we do that?" Naturally, the crowd screamed in agreement. (EW)

Twenty One Pilots No. 1 on Artist 100, Green Day & Bruno Mars Hit Top Five. As Twenty One Pilots log a third week on top, Green Day & Mars hit new peaks thanks to new releases. Twenty One Pilots remain the top musical act in the U.S., holding atop the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Oct. 29) for a third total week. Meanwhile, Green Day and Bruno Mars re-enter the ranking at new highs of Nos. 2 and 5, respectively. The Artist 100 measures artist activity across Billboard's most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Top Album Sales and the Social 50. The Artist 100 (which launched in July 2014) blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity. Twenty One Pilots have logged their three weeks atop the Artist 100 in the past four frames, beginning on the chart dated Oct. 8. Of their chart points on the latest list, the largest percentage is from digital song sales (33 percent), followed by radio airplay (26 percent), as their current single "Heathens" gains by 8 percent to 79,000 downloads sold in the week ending Oct. 13, according to Nielsen Music, and bullets at No. 4 on Digital Song Sales following the act's Oct. 8 appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live. The track holds at No. 2 on the Radio Songs chart with 127 million in audience, up 6 percent. Green Day roars back onto the Artist 100 (after previously reaching No. 78), powered almost entirely by the arrival of its new album, Revolution Radio, which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (95,000 equivalent album units) and Top Album Sales (90,000). Drake holds at No. 3 on the Artist 100; The Chainsmokers fall to No. 4 from their No. 2 peak, as their smash "Closer," featuring Halsey, rules the Hot 100 for a ninth week; and Mars returns at No. 5 (besting his prior No. 10 high), as his new single, "24K Magic," rockets onto the Hot 100 at No. 5. It begins at No. 2 on Digital Song Sales (101,000) and No. 9 on Streaming Songs (12.8 million U.S. streams) and vaults 36-15 on Radio Songs (65 million in audience following its first full week of airplay tracking). Also notably in the Artist 100's top 10, OneRepublic re-enters at No. 10 (having peaked at No. 6 in 2014), fueled by its new album, Oh My My. The set starts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 (46,000), marking the band's highest rank on the chart, besting the No. 4 peak of its last effort, 2013's Native. Check out this week's entire Artist 100 here. (Billboard)
Lupe Fiasco Pulled Over By Police Following New York City Show. After hitting the stage at New York City's B.B. King Blues Club on Tuesday night (Oct. 18), Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco shared on Twitter that he was pulled over and searched by a police squad. In a since-deleted tweet, Fiasco typed, "When the NYPD follows you from the show then pulls you over 10 deep to the search the car cuz we from Chicago! Hahaha... I ain't even mad," according to Respect magazine. Producer Just Blaze, who was pulled over by cops in July, tweeted back at the rapper, asking, "What neighborhood?" The run-in with the NYPD comes a few months after Fiasco went on a lengthy tweet spree following the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling, 37, in Baton Rouge, La. and Philando Castile, 32, in Falcon Heights, Minn. this past July. Fiasco -- who has two brothers and sisters who are "active police officers" as well as a father who was a former "state police deputy" -- explained that he walks "both sides" when it comes to the relationship between officers and the black community. Fiasco also recently gave his fans an update that he will not be dropping his new albums Drogas, Drogas Light and Skulls this year as planned. "It's a strong chance you won't get any new Lupe albums this year. Sorry y'all. I tried 2 make it happen but best laid plans make a mess made," he tweeted on Oct. 16. "Drogas Light & Drogas are fully recorded & sitting but clearances and mixing issues for Drogas are pushing us beyond realistic deadlines now." He added, "Just to clarify tho the albums have been done for months. It's the red tape & details now. The shit I hate." Fiasco's next stop on the tour will be on Oct. 19 in Washington, D.C. The trek runs till Dec. 16 in Aspen, Colorado. A rep for Fiasco did not immediately respond to Billboard's request for comment. (Billboard)
Daddy Yankee Leads Allstate's New, App-Focused Campaign. The ad kicks off with a swaggering Daddy Yankee using a snazzy app to find his car in a crowded parking lot. Then, for 30 seconds, the reggaeton star proceeds to make the concept of car insurance cool. The campaign, titled "Estar en buenas manos nos da más," is the Hispanic iteration of Allstate's "It's good to be in good hands." Except that for the first time in any language, the giant insurance company is using a pop artist to get its point across. (It's not the first time Allstate has tried to leverage music, having sponsored musical events like the Latin Grammys in the past.) "We wanted to leverage someone who was really well known and who really transcended all Hispanic cultures," says Georgina Flores, Allstate's vp of product marketing. "He really was our first choice." Instead of going for a venerable, older celebrity, Allstate went for younger-but-respected. "We wanted younger, yes, but also broader," said Flores. "We wanted to make sure that the artist and his or her music would be popular regardless of precedence." Allstate had tapped into different celebrities for its earlier "It's good to be in good hands campaign," which launched in May. But, says Flores, "we were looking at how to really translate for the Hispanic market." Pushing the app was also key, so getting someone who would be credible in that space and could also speak to a younger demographic was important. Yankee, she says, "really represents what's popular, and this ties in with the app." The campaign, developed by ad agency Lápiz, will run through next year. As for Yankee, his new single "Shaky Shaky" is at No. 7 this week on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart and at No. 6 on the Latin Digital Songs chart. The song is also No. 1 on Mexico's Airplay charts. (Billboard)
Bruno Mars to Open 2016 American Music Awards. This will be his first time performing on the AMA stage. Bruno Mars will open the 2016 American Music Awards show, marking his first performance on the AMA stage. Mars, who won the Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist award in 2011, has scored seven AMA nominations in the past. The singer/songwriter/producer has just scored his latest hit with "24K Magic," which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, earning Mars his highest debut to date. The 2016 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Drake broke a 32-year record for the most AMA nominations with 13 nods, beating Michael Jackson's previous high mark of 11 from 1984. The "Hotline Bling" rapper leads all 2016 American Music Awards nominees with nods in categories including Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album, Favorite Rap Artist, Favorite Rap Song and Favorite R&B song, among others. If he wins in any of the categories it will make his first AMA win. Rihanna is just behind Drizzy with seven nominations, with Adele and Justin Bieber picking up five nominations each, followed by four nods each for Beyonce and The Chainsmokers and three for Bryson Tiller, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood, Fetty Wap and the Weeknd. Drake will go up against Adele, Beyonce, Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Underwood and The Weeknd for Artist of the Year; the 10 nominees will be narrowed to five based on the votes received through Monday, Nov. 14, at 8:59 a.m. PT. Voting for Artist of the Year will close Thursday, Nov. 17, at 8:59 p.m. PT. The winner will be determined by the total votes received throughout the entire voting period. If Bieber wins the award he will tie with current record hold Taylor Swift for the most wins (three). With eight past wins and this year's five nominations, Bieber needs just one win to become one of the top 10 AMA winners of all time. Fans can vote for all categories once per day, per platform in one or both of these ways: For New Artist of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile, fans can vote 100 times per day, per platform at AMAvote.com or by posting a tweet that includes the nominee's Twitter handle, the category name and #AMAs within the post(s). The 2016 American Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are executive producers. Larry Klein, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco are producers. Andy Karl to Star in 'Groundhog Day' on Broadway. The actor will reprise his role as Phil Connors in the musical adaptation of the much-loved Bill Murray comedy. Andy Karl will find himself in repetition with Groundhog Day. The seasoned stage actor will reprise his starring role in the Broadway transfer of the London production, which begins previews March 16 ahead of its April 17 opening at the August Wilson Theatre. He led the world premiere run at the Old Vic, which wrapped last month. Based on the beloved 1993 movie, directed by Harold Ramis and starring Bill Murray, the musical adaptation reunites much of the key creative team from Matilda, the acclaimed musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel, which has been a hit on both sides of the Atlantic: director Matthew Warchus, composer-lyricist Tim Minchin, choreographer Peter Darling and designer Rob Howell. The book is by Danny Rubin, who co-wrote the Columbia Pictures film's screenplay with Ramis, based on Rubin's story. The plot follows the mind-bending experience of misanthropic Pittsburgh TV weatherman Phil Connors, disgruntled at being sent to small-town Pennsylvania to cover the annual Groundhog Day event. When a blizzard prevents his return to the city, he gets caught in a time loop, replaying the same day over and over until he softens his cynical demeanor, befriending and helping everyone he meets over the course of the day. Steven R. McQueen Leaving Chicago Fire: Find Out What Happened to Jimmy. Steven R. McQueen has put out his last Chicago fire on Chicago Fire. At least for now. McQueen, who joined the NBC series following his The Vampire Diaries tenure, had his last episode on Tuesday, Oct. 18. After wrestling with accepting Boden's (Eamonn Walker) authority after the death of his brother, McQueen's Jimmy took matters into his own hands during a call and was badly injured. "You can't have everybody always get away cleanly and safely and always have happy endings. That's something that we're always juggling and trying to balance and trying to deliver on for the audience," Chicago Fire co-creator Michael Brandt told The Hollywood Reporter about the decision to write out Jimmy with an injury. "As you start to go through what are the big moves you're going to make each season and especially towards the end of the season, you take a hard look at everybody on the show in terms of all the characters and what kind of moves you want to make," he continued. Brandt said the writers felt Jimmy would be one to act brash because he's young and emotional. "We had met his brother when we first introduced the character. His brother was kind of a wild card if you remember, he ties Jimmy up with duct tape and pours alcohol on him and dumps him on the firehouse driveway... Ultimately, it comes down to creative in terms of who might be leaving the show and what we liked about this was Jimmy's repairing of his relationship with his brother and then ultimately that being the downfall of the character on the show. It wasn't out of the blue," Brandt explained. "It was motivated by his love for his brother and it was also motivated by the decision that Boden made which you know all those things always live in grey areas and they're always very complicated so it was just a creative [decision.]" Brandt told TVLine there is a chance Jimmy could be seen down the line because "Character-wise, you can never burn bridges on a show too badly to not salvage them." "He goes out fighting for what he believes in, and there's nothing wrong with that. At the end of the episode, there's a scene between him and Boden where you realize everything is OK between them," he said. "Boden respects why Jimmy did what he did. But that said, there are no plans right now to bring Jimmy back to the show." McQueen joined Chicago Fire in 2015 after being part of The Vampire Diaries since 2009. His exit is just the latest in a long line of Chicago Fire shake-ups. Lauren German, Charlie Barnett and Dora Madison previously exited the series. Are you going to miss Steven R. McQueen on Chicago Fire? Chicago Fire airs Tuesdays, 10 p.m. on NBC. (Eonline)
The Royals' Queen Helena Wants to Make America Great Britain Again: ''We'll Be Expecting You." "Happy election season, y'all." "How's that whole president thing working out for you?" Queen Helena asks. "Missing home are we? It's been a few centuries since your Boston Tea Party mishap and look who's getting royally tea-bagged now." The Queen's speech continues, "Paul Revere warned everyone, 'The British are coming!' Now I'm warning you, your next president is coming." But don't worry, because England is ready to welcome everyone back with open arms. "We'll be expecting you," Queen Helena says. "God save me." The Royals, which follows a fictional royal family at the center of a corrupt monarchy, also stars William Moseley ("Prince Liam"), Alexandra Park ("Princess Eleanor"), Jake Maskall ("King Cyrus"), Tom Austen ("Jasper"), Genevieve Gaunt ("Willow"), Rocky Marshall ("James Hill"), Victoria Ekanoye ("Rachel"), and Andrew Cooper ("Beck"). Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Is Officially on the Hunt for Darkhold: What Does It Have to Do With Doctor Strange? Warning: The following contains spoilers about the most recent episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you haven't watched yet, you may want to bookmark this page and return once you have. Proceed with caution. It's powerful enough to make ghost people believe they can play god. It's dangerous enough that Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) are willing to step out of the shadows and team up with Coulson (Clark Gregg) to find it. And it's probably Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s major link to the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. It's Darkhold. Though first mentioned two episodes back by Ghost Lucy and her undead pals who we know now got the way they are by trying to generate matter out of absolutely nothing, the hunt is officially on for this book that Robbie's Uncle Eli described as having "all the knowledge anyone could ever need" and also "pure evil." So what is this thing that is sometimes also referred to as the Book of Sins? Well, in Marvel lore, it's just the most dangerous mystical artifact in the universe. Created by a demonic entity named Chthon, it's been at the center of the darkest magic, responsible for creating both the first vampire and the first werewolf. Simply reading it opens the reader up to the Chthon's sinister and corrupting forces, putting the reader in danger of becoming either a vampire or werewolf themselves. In short, the thing's bad news. And if you hadn't already guessed, Doctor Strange has come into contact with the book in his long comic book history, so it makes perfect sense that this dark bit of mysticism, one S.H.I.E.L.D. will definitely need some help wrangling, is coming into play just before Benedict Cumberbatch assumes the title role when the Doctor Strange movie hits theaters on Nov. 4. As the Doctor Strange Prelude #1 prequel comic book revealed, the Ancient One's (played in the movie by Tilda Swinton) disciples have organized to protect the world from dark magic, operating under the title Masters of the Mystic Arts. They're the magical world's equivalent of S.H.I.E.L.D. -- and they're the reason S.H.I.E.L.D. had no idea this mysticism existed. They're very good at their job. However, as revealed in the latest Doctor Strange Prelude Infinite Comic -- titled "The Zealot" -- one of the Ancient One's disciples has gone dark. Kaecilius (played in the film by Mads Mikkelsen), in pursuit of the secrets of a mystic named Cagliostro, steals some of the Ancient One's most dangerous books, which include notes from Darkhold. It's a safe bet that Kaecilius is responsible for Darkhold making its way to Momentum Labs. And with just a few weeks left before the release of Doctor Strange, it's an even safer bet that things are only going to get weirder for Coulson and the crew. We can hardly wait. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)
Scream Queens Kills Another Fan Fave Because They Are Not Playing Around. This season of Scream Queens is truly savage. Last week, we lost Chad Radwell (Glen Powell), and we barely had enough time to fully grieve before losing another major character. After one insane Halloween party that was derailed by a bunch of very sick Lin-Manuel Mirandas (which we'll get to in a minute), FBI agent Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) met her end, thanks to the Green Meanie, a bowl of punch, and a defibrillator. We should have seen Denise's demise coming, since the night was quite the Denise-centric episode. She was in serious mourning mode after the death of her former lover, Chad Radwell, and we even got flashbacks to some of their roleplaying sessions -- including one confusing night of Brokeback Mountain reenactments. We guess the silver lining to all of this is that now Denise and Chad can be together forever in the afterlife, which is nice for them. It's also possible that Number 5 (Abigail Breslin) won't live much longer, given the fact that she was nearly stabbed by Ivanka Trump, and then was actually stabbed by the Green Meanie, and left to die on the floor. Denise had been attempting to save Number 5 when she was killed, so now we'll just have to wait and see who's next to walk into that deserted hospital hallway. Elsewhere Tuesday night, Chanel (Emma Roberts) was accidentally turned blue by medicine given to her by Brock (John Stamos), and the hospital put on a Halloween party that was so of the moment that we could hardly keep up with the references. Hester (Lea Michele) (who was let out of her basement cell for just 24 hours) dressed as Ivanka Trump, while Number 5 dressed as Ivana Trump, thinking that Ivana and Ivanka were the same person (been there, Number 5). Cassidy (Taylor Lautner) rocked the bleached hair as Ryan Lochte. Zayday dressed as the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis, and Brock was the script of Batman vs. Superman, aka a bloody mess. Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) was Hamilton, which went nicely with all the Lin-Manuel Mirandas that came with the other Halloween party that arrived to get help with being poisoned from apple bobbing. Meanwhile, Chanel was a smurf, and Number 3 was dead, so she could get used to the concept, but we have a feeling that many Halloween parties this year are going to look an awful lot like the one we just saw on TV. While we're going to miss Denise, we had better get used to these losses. It doesn't sound like they're ending any time soon. "Every episode now, someone major is getting killed off," Ryan Murphy told E! News before the episode. "This week we have literally, and I'm not going to tell you who, but a fan favorite character bites the dust, so people will have to tune in to see who that is. It's a shockaroo, taken too soon, RIP." Shockaroo is right. Scream Queens airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox. (Eonline)
The Riveras Are Serving Pure Realness on Their New Reality Show. It's been almost four years since singer Rivera died in a tragic plane crash in December 2012. Her five children were left to pick up the pieces and continue their mother's legacy. The "Diva de la Banda" had her I Love Jenni reality show which was filming its third season during her untimely death. The children finished filming the season and said goodbye to reality TV for the time being. But once 2016 rolled around, the family felt that they had enough time to heal privately and fans wanted to see them back on the small screen. "The audience kept asking and we had said that after the third season of I love Jenni we were pretty much done with it because that show isn't I Love Jenni without my mom. And everyone would always ask when we were coming back, but I think we needed that break," Chiquis Rivera, Jenni's oldest daughter, explained to E! News. "We needed to go through the motions and the healing process. Then they offered it, and then I sat with our production company Blank Paige, and we came up with the idea. So I said, 'OK, but I want to be an executive producer because I want to make sure that we're all protected and so that we can be as open as we are.'" The show aired Oct. 16, on NBC Universo. And if you're expecting for the girls to be in full makeup at all times, you're in for a surprise, because Jenni's daughters are keeping it real with their fans. "It was never really a decision for us, it's just who we are. I think that we're just comfortable and we're OK with not faking the funk and being ourselves. We're OK with people seeing us naked in that sense, you know, as to this is who we are and this is what we have to offer," Chiquis said. "Sometimes I'll go to her house and we're filming and her hairs a mess, she's a mom." The family is heavily involved in all of the projects that their mother left behind. Chiquis is following in her mother's footsteps with a singing career in Regional Mexican music. Mikey Rivera is a signed writer and does commercial art and back at school to continue growing his career for his daughter, and he says he's OK with being behind the scenes. Jenni's youngest son, Johnny Lopez, is a co-producer on the late singer's most recent album and wants to continue to work in music in his mother's same genre. Rivera's youngest daughter Jenicka Lopez is figuring out what she intends to do with her career and is thinking about maybe being a teacher or model while working for her mother's fashion line. While the mother of three Jacquie Campos is busy with her children, handles the Love Foundation and is also thinking about doing a Christian album. During the season we'll see lots of fun moments between the siblings, but we'll also see some very tense situations. Jacquie gives birth to her third child, a family argument escalates and Chiquis opens about the rumor that led her mother to not speak to her in the last days of her life. You can catch all of The Riveras every Sunday 10PM/9C on NBC Universo. (Eonline)
NBC News has an expensive habit: firing its top talent. Industry insiders say their calculators are burning out as they try to keep up with the multi-million dollar checks that the Peacock Network has written to get its stars not to work. In addition to this week's reported $10 million pay-out to Billy Bush, NBC has since 2012 also shelled out $12 million to former "Today" host Ann Curry, $4 million to former "Meet The Press" host David Gregory, $3 million to executive Jamie Horowitz, and likely several million to host Josh Elliot, all to end their contracts. "The newsroom is asked to tighten its belt while management spends millions on people who no longer work for NBC," sniffed an insider. (Page Six)

Netflix Nears Series Order for Veena Sud Racial Crime Drama 'Seven Seconds'. 'The Accountant' director Gavin O'Connor will helm the pilot. Netflix and Veena Sud are reuniting. The streaming giant is nearing a series pickup for Seven Seconds, a racial crime drama from The Killing showrunner, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. In the drama, tensions run high between African-American citizens and Caucasian cops in Jersey City, where a teenage African-American boy is critically injured by a cop. Sud would serve as showrunner on the series, which is eyeing a 10-episode order. She will exec produce with Lawrence Bender, Kevin Brown, Alex Reznik and Gavin O'Connor, the latter of whom would also direct. Fox 21, where Sud is under an overall deal, will produce Seven Seconds. Netflix declined to comment. Seven Seconds is the latest TV project to tackle the Black Lives Matter movement that has taken the country by storm and has sparked protests and unrest in places like Baltimore and Ohio, where unarmed African-American men have been gunned down by police. Empire, UnREAL and Black-ish are just a few of the shows that have touched on the topic in the last year. The series would bring Sud back to Netflix, which resurrected her crime drama The Killing for a fourth season in 2014 after it had been canceled by AMC. The WME-repped Sud's other credits include Cold Case and the big-screen crime drama The Salton Sea. TV Ratings: ABC Comedy Block Dips in Week Two. 'This Is Us' also fell two-tenths, but still ranked as the top-rated show of the evening. A week after getting a strong start in its new 9 p.m. time slot, This Is Us came back down to earth a bit Tuesday. The freshman drama dipped two-tenths to a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. However, that number still easily made the series the top-rated show of the night. For the second week, This Is Us built on its lead-in from a steady showing of The Voice (2.4 adults). This Is Us led into a steady airing of Chicago Fire (1.7 adults). All three won their time periods, giving NBC a solid victory for the evening. One week after launching its new Tuesday comedy block, ABC's half-hours were dipped two-tenths across the board. The Middle(1.5 adults) and American Housewife (1.6 adults), followed by Fresh Off the Boat (1.3 adults) and The Real O'Neals (1.0 adults). At 10 p.m., Agents of Shield was even with a 0.8 rating. Fresh off its full-season pickup, Bull (1.5 adults) was steady for CBS, as were NCIS (1.8 adults) and NCIS: New Orleans (1.2 adults). Fox was flat across the board with Brooklyn Nine-Nine (0.9 adults), New Girl (0.9 adults) and Scream Queens (0.6 adults). The Flash (1.0 adults) and No Tomorrow (0.3 adults) held steady on The CW. How the Chicago Cubs Could Boost World Series Ratings (and Give Fox a $30M Advertising Windfall). With the team looking to end its 108-year drought and finally win another World Series, Fox execs salivate as viewership spikes and the perennial losers could become baseball TV's? heroes. As Chicagoans Bill Murray and John Cusack know well, it has been 108 years since the Cubs won the World Series. But now the team could be headed to its first Fall Classic since 1945 -- and Fox Sports is as happy as any long-suffering fan. The Cubs' Division Series clincher Oct. 11 delivered a record 6.4 million viewers. Now the team is playing the L.A. Dodgers for a berth in the World Series -- which begins Oct. 25 on Fox -- against the Cleveland Indians or Toronto Blue Jays. And though the Cubs are down 2-1 in their series while the Indians hold a 3-1 series lead (both divisions had games Wednesday night), ad sales for the World Series are pacing 30 percent ahead of 2015, with a 30-second spot costing more than $500,000, say sources. The increase, notes Fox Sports president Eric Shanks, owes largely to the Cubs. "It has all the makings of a great Hollywood script," he says of the drought. In a bid not to oversell, Fox approaches the World Series as though the best-of-seven matchup will run five games, with airtime 80 percent taken. Fox could earn $20 million to $30 million in additional revenue if Chicago advances and the Series goes to a Game 7. Baseball hasn't been a big national ratings draw in recent years (the five lowest-rated World Series have taken place during the past decade), but when the Boston Red Sox ended an 86-year title drought in 2004, the Series averaged an impressive 25.4 million viewers. Now it could happen again. Says Shanks, "This has the potential to be one of the biggest World Series in the last decade." (Hollywood Reporter)

Host Carson Daly later tweeted that "the future is bright," which brought a smile to Stefani's face. "I love u!!" Stefani tweeted. "Can't believe I get to come back?!!" The Voice's Twitter account replied, "We're the lucky ones." Miley Cyrus will be back for Season 13. "We can't wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12," Paul Telegdy, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. "With Miley returning for season 13, we're truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons." The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Chicago Fire airs Tuesdays, 10 p.m. on NBC. (Eonline)
The Royals' Queen Helena Wants to Make America Great Britain Again: ''We'll Be Expecting You." "Happy election season, y'all." In this hilarious promo for E!'s soapy scripted drama The Royals, Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) addresses the current U.S. presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and assures all Americans not to worry because England is ready to welcome everyone back. "How's that whole president thing working out for you?" Queen Helena asks.

For O'Connor, the news comes days after his Ben Affleck drama The Accountant brought in an impressive $24.7 million to open atop the weekend box office. O'Connor's credits include Warrior, Pride and Glory and Miracle, as well as directing the pilot of FX's The Americans. He is repped by WME and Morris Yorn. Seven Seconds would be the latest drama series for Netflix as it continues its $5 billion spending spree on original content. Other forthcoming drama series The Crown, Iron Fist and The Defenders from Marvel, The OA,13 Reasons Why, G.L.O.W., Mindhunter, Ozark, Altered Carbon and a Lost in Space reboot, among others. Fox 21's originals slate also includes American Crime Story at FX, Showtime's Dice, Queen of the South for USA and the forthcoming Genius for Nat Geo. (Hollywood Reporter)
