Samira Wiley Is Engaged to Orange Is the New Black Writer Lauren Morelli. What a year it's been for Samira Wiley! The Orange Is the New Black star is engaged to Lauren Morelli, a writer and producer on the Netflix series. Wiley, whose OITNB character Poussey Washington had a major story arc this past season, shared the happy news Tuesday when she Instagrammed a sweet selfie with her fiancee and a stunning diamond ring. She captioned the joyful shot, simply, "Yes." The couple began dating in 2014 following Lauren's amicable split and divorce from Steve Basilone, her husband of two years. The OITNB writer-producer came out as gay in a touching Identities.Mic essay published in May 2014. "I realized I was gay in fall 2012," she wrote, "one of my first days on the [OITNB] set." "It wasn't so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a 'not very sexual person,'" explained Lauren, who'd only been married a few months at the time. "When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me. Wanting to read a book instead of have sex is a perfectly reasonable preference to have, right? But on set, these small moments came into sharp relief, and I found myself answering to an endless stream of cast members who peppered me with questions like a gaggle of kindergarteners curious about their new teacher. 'Are you dating anyone?' 'You're married?' 'To a man?' 'But you used to kiss girls?' 'Do you miss it?' I was finally forced to consider a question that had never, ever occurred to me before: 'Holy s--t, am I gay?'" Once Lauren realized her truth, she came out to her family, friends and co-workers. As she wrote in her 2014 Identities.Mic essay, "I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen...It feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you." We wish Lauren and Samira all the best! (Eonline)

Hoda Kotb Is Moving in With Boyfriend Joel Schiffman. Hoda Kotb and Joel Schiffman are taking their relationship to the next level. "Joel and I are getting an apartment together, so we went to see it with the measuring tape," Kotb revealed on The Hoda Show Monday, which airs exclusively on SiriusXM Today Show Radio channel 108 Mondays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. ET. "It's a little weird to be in your 50s and we're like 'Hey, we're moving in!' It's like you're kids. It's so weird. I was afraid to tell my own mother that I was moving in with my boyfriend. I was afraid. I don't know," the Today host said. "I know it sounds weird -- I've been married. It's like, 'Whatever!' But it's weird. It's a little odd." Odd or not, Kotb also said she's "excited" to live with Schiffman, particularly after they "looked at the place and had the tape measure and were picturing us together -- like in the apartment." Of course, cohabitating could test the boundaries of their relationship. One of the reasons they work well together is that they "don't have a lot of conflicts, because we're not together 24/7." "It's been so long since I've lived with someone. I'm a little concerned with me -- not him. Like how I am, as a human," Kotb, 52, confessed. "You know, it's not going to be easy for poor Joel." In January, Kotb told E! News' Zuri Hall she wasn't "sure" whether she'd ever get remarried. "I've gone down that road once, so I would've normally said definitely not," said Kotb, who divorced Burzis Kanga in 2007. "So the fact that I'm saying I don't know is saying something." If Schiffman were to ever propose, he should keep it casual. "I don't like bells and whistles and planes flying overhead and flash mobs," Kotb revealed to E! News in April. "There are certain things in life that are intimate and between two people. I like that. I like it more low-key." (Eonline)

Demi Lovato Slams Taylor Swift's Squad and Talks Disney "PTSD." It's no secret Demi Lovato is unafraid to voice her opinions. And, in Glamour's November 2016 issue, the singer does just that. Let's begin with Taylor Swift . In May, Lovato tweeted, "Don't brand yourself a feminist if you don't do the work." It was a bold statement, considering Swift rebuilt her brand on the power female friendships. But Lovato doesn't regert what she said about Swift' and her squad. "I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they're going to claim that as part of their brand," the 24-year-old "Body Say" singer says. "To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don't see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It's kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it's not real." The women in Swift's squad, by and large, tend to be slender -- and that's "not realistic," Lovato explains. Regarding Swift's "Bad Blood" video, she says, "I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that's not women's empowerment. We all do things that aren't, but I have to ask myself, 'Am I content with calling myself a feminist?' Yes, because I speak out."

Melissa Etheridge is not holding back her negative opinion of Angelina Jolie and her highly-publicized split with Brad Pitt. The singer, a longtime friend of Pitt's (she sang at his wedding to Jennifer Aniston), told Andy Cohen that she's heartbroken over all the news surrounding the divorce during her visit to Cohen's Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live Monday. "It breaks my heart that anyone would take something as personal as your marriage and your relationship and your rights to your children and do it as purposefully as I see it's being done," she said. Etheridge, who went through her own custody battle with ex Tammy Lynn Michaels in 2010, criticized Jolie and her legal team for how they're handling the news surrounding the divorce. "There's a way to be. I've gone through family courts," Etheridge said. "I've been twice around this block, and I know it really well, and I know when there's some forethought to just how mean [you can be] and just how you're going to put disinformation out there first." When asked by Cohen about allegations Pitt got verbally abusive and physical with his son, Etheridge, who also admitted to not having contact with Pitt for "years," called them "completely unfounded" and "heartbreaking." A source close to Jolie previously told PEOPLE that she was acting in the best interests of her family. "Angelina did what she felt she needed to do," said the source. Etheridge expressed that she would love to reconnect with Pitt. "I really hope that he reaches back out because there are a lot of us who haven't seen him in 10 years," Etheridge said. "And it was hard then. We all lost a friend." The singer added that she has first-hand experience with what she claims was "nasty" behavior from Jolie. "I was around when Angelina was not doing nice things with Billy Bob to Laura Dern," Etheridge said, referencing Jolie's whirlwind romance and eventual marriage to Billy Bob Thornton-who at the time was engaged to Etheridge's friend Laura Dern. "I went through that on a personal level, and then to know the side of Jennifer [Aniston] and Brad... " she said, trailing off. "I helped Laura move out of her house with Billy Bob-I like broke into their home to get their stuff out because it was so nasty." This isn't the first time the singer has chastised the actress. In 2013, shortly after Jolie revealed she had undergone a preventive double mastectomy, Etheridge countered, "I have to say I feel a little differently. I have that gene mutation too, and it's not something I would believe in for myself. I wouldn't call it the brave choice. I actually think it's the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer." (People)

Halle Berry NEVER had sex with Ric Flair ... despite claims the wrestling legend made on his radio show -- this according to Halle's rep. The Nature Boy started a firestorm on the web this week when he proudly declared on the "Ric Flair Show" that he hooked up with Halle in Atlanta ... right after she divorced David Justice. We reached out to Halle's camp for comment -- and they strongly shut down Flair's story as bogus. Sources close to Halle expanded ... telling us, "There is NO truth to this! Halle has literally never even heard of him let alone met him!!!" We're told Halle is deeply offended by Flair. One source put it this way ... "A man doesn't get to sexualize and lie about a woman he's never met to better himself of his name. It's offensive, demeaning and beyond misogynistic." (TMZ)

Frances Bean Cobain's "online shopping habit and hoarding" has forced her estranged husband Isaiah Silva out of their house. While the couple is currently divorcing -- and fighting over Kurt Cobain's valuable guitar Frances gave Silva as a gift at their June 2014 wedding -- reports say he has now been forced out of their LA house by the court. But we're told by a friend of Silva's, "The weird truth is that Frances Cobain's house is virtually unlivable because of Frances' hoarding. Frances spends her days doing lots and lots of online shopping. Virtually every room is filled with boxes of stuff Frances has ordered from online retailers and never even bothered to open -- shoes, clothing, art supplies, music equipment, and even several large-screen TVs." The insider said that Silva was already splitting his time between his ex-girlfriend's house and his parents' place. As part of the interim agreement before a final settlement can be reached, Frances must pay Silva $12,000 a month in spousal support for four months. (Page Six)

Amber Rose might have a beef with Kanye West, but her heart goes out to his wife, Kim Kardashian, after she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris apartment. The model opened up to Us Weekly in an interview on Monday, October 3, and reacted to the news that her one-time rival had been the victim of a terrifying crime. "It's unfortunate," she told Us backstage at 'Dancing With the Stars'. "It's sad." Rose, 32, has an ongoing feud with West, who she dated from 2008 to 2010, but she's been building bridges with her reality TV buddy over recent months. When Us asked if she'd spoken to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star since the ordeal, Rose said: "No. I'm literally here all the time," she said referring to the set of DWTS. "I feel like I live here." As Us exclusively reported Kardashian feared for her life, and thought she was going to be sexually assaulted when five men dressed as police officers robbed her in the early hours of Monday morning. The insider revealed the 35-year-old was in bed, wearing only a bathrobe when her hands were bound with plastic zip ties before she was carried into a bathroom by the intruders. A gun was held to her head, according to the source, as the robbers "gagged her... covering her mouth but not her nose." They wrapped her with tape before leaving her in the bathroom as they took off with her jewelry estimated to be worth $10 million. Kardashian's rep told Us in a statement on Monday that her client was left "badly shaken but physically unharmed." Several other celebrities reached out to the social media maven via Twitter to offer their support. James Corden slammed haters who joked about the incident writing: "People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up." Kardashian's friend Chrissy Teigen also chimed in. "No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities," she posted when one fan asked her how they were supposed to feel sorry for someone who owns millions of dollars of jewelry. "Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you'd make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets." Piers Morgan tweeted: "Feel very sorry for @Kim Kardashian. Must have been a terrifying experience. #Paris #robbery." (US Weekly)

Kim Kardashian's Bodyguard Pascal Duvier Breaks His Silence After Robbery & Promises To Find The Reality Star's Attackers -- 'You Messed With The Wrong One'. Kim Kardashian West's bodyguard Pascal Duvier has spoken out for the first time since the scary robbery that went down on Sunday night in the reality star's Parisian apartment. As you've probably heard, the longtime security detail left Kimmy unattended as he protected Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner during their night out at L'Arc Nightclub-which is when disaster struck and the KUWTK star was tied up, gagged, and locked in a bathroom while men dressed as police officers raided her flat of jewelry, money, and cell phones. And after receiving a ton of criticism for not being by the 35-year-old's side during the attack, Pascal is promising to hunt down the perps. In a statement to Daily Mail, the father-of-two -- who has made all of this social media accounts private since the incident -- said: "The events that occurred in Paris was one of the most sickening things I have seen or heard. We have tips and leads and we will find you. That I promise you... you messed with the wrong one." Snap snap! Well, we will say it's good to hear that there are leads on who committed this terrifying crime, as the suspects remain at large. (Perez Hilton)

Ben Stiller Reveals Secret Battle With Prostate Cancer. Ben Stiller revealed on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show Tuesday that he was diagnosed with "immediately aggressive" prostate cancer at the age of 48. The Zoolander 2 actor, now 50, appeared on Howard Stern's program with his surgeon and discussed his experience for the first time publicly. "It came out of the blue for me," Stiller said of the diagnosis. "I had no idea." Although Stiller had no family history of prostate cancer, his doctor was able to detect the disease due to a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test during a yearly physical. "If I hadn't gotten the test -- my doctor started giving it to me at 46 -- I still wouldn't know," he explained. When Stiller's doctor first gave him PSA test, the doctor found that the actor's levels were high. The doctor re-administered the test six months later and found the PSA had gone up even more. "After the second time, I started to get a little worried," Stiller said. The actor went through a series of tests, including an MRI and biopsy, to determine if he definitely had prostate cancer. Stiller later had surgery to remove his prostate, but he keeps getting tested just to be safe. "I wanted to talk about it because of the test," he said, "because I feel like the test saved my life." "The controversy about the test is that once you get treatment for prostate cancer, things can happen: incontinence, impotence," said Stiller, who produced the new film Why Him?. "It's the second most deadly cancer, but it's also one of the most survived cancers, if it's detected early." (Eonline)

Toni Braxton Hospitalized While Being Treated for Lupus, Doing "Fine" Now. Toni Braxton was hospitalized for a few days recently, but she has since been released and is doing fine. A rep for the singer tells E! News, "Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days, being treated for her Lupus. She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week." The rep added, "She was not in serious condition, though Lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times." Meanwhile, Braxton first revealed she was battling the autoimmune disease in 2010. In 2015, she opened up about living with lupus during an interview with Huffington Post. "Some days I can't balance it all. I just have to lay in bed," she said. "Pretty much when you have lupus you feel like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it. But for me, if I'm not feeling well, I tend to tell my kids, 'Oh mommy's just going to relax in bed today.' I kind of take it easy." However, when she has work, she said she has to fight through the sickness. "That's the toughest part, when I have to perform," she explained. "So often, when it's like that, it's a lot of, 'You sing!' to the audience, you know. They kind of help me out a little bit without realizing it." Still, she has yet to cancel a show. "I've never done that. Even if I can't perform, I still figure it out," she told HuffPo. "Sometimes I look back [at] that evening [and] I go, 'How did I get through that?'" We're glad to hear she's doing OK now! (Eonline)

Kim Kardashian was ordered out of bed by masked men she initially thought were going to rape her. Our sources say ... Kim was lying in bed with only her robe on when she heard boots pounding up the stairs of her 2 story apartment. We're told Kim saw at least one masked man and another wearing a police hat through a sliding glass door. She knew something was amiss, so she rolled off the bed and tried dialing her bodyguard on her cell phone. Before she could finish dialing one of the men yanked the phone out of her hands. They zip tied her hands with plastic handcuffs and duct taped her to make it more secure. We're told one of the men grabbed her by the ankles ... Kim told cops at that point she believed she was about to be raped. The robbers duct taped her ankles, picked her up and put her in the bathtub. She then started screaming ... begging them not to kill her because she had babies. She went on to say she had money and they could take whatever they wanted. Kim told cops the robbers did not know English and only spoke French. The only thing she understood ... the men kept saying, "ring, ring." Kim knew what they were after -- the new ring she got from Kanye. She told them where it was in the apartment, but that was not the end. Kim continued to beg and cry, and at that point the robbers duct taped her mouth shut. We're told a friend of Kim's -- Simone -- was also in the apartment ... sleeping in the downstairs bedroom. Simone heard the commotion and locked herself in the bathroom and called Pascal, the bodyguard, and Kourtney ... telling them to hurry back because something was terribly wrong. Pascal got back to the apartment 2 minutes after the robbers left. The entire incident took around 6 minutes. (TMZ)

French police have serious questions about how Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint while home alone in Paris, and suspect it is an inside job. "French police suspect that the five alleged robbers had some contact with her security and were tipped off about her procedures," says the source. "They knew there was no security [with her inside her apartment that night]. All they had to do was go in, make contact with someone inside the hotel. They have issues with story of more than one worker at the hotel. They are also talking to bodyguards who worked with her earlier in the week." According to the source, one or more of the armed robbers could have been a bodyguard who had protected her before in Paris. Her current bodyguard, Pascal Douvier, who was protecting her sisters Kourtney and Kendall at the time, has been questioned but is not under suspicion. They also believe that the concierge who was tied up may have been to throw people off. "They did some things that were so unprofessional it seemed like a show," says the insider. The men first entered the building and tied up the concierge, reportedly demanding to know which was Kardashian's apartment. They then burst into her apartment, bound her up with tape, gagged her, and locked her in a bathroom. They then escaped on bikes and on foot with jewelry worth more than $9 million including a ring, multiple cellphones, a wallet and credit cards. We're told that much of the incident was caught on hotel security cameras -- the men in the lobby and hallway-and that cops are checking the phone records and doing investigations of hotel employees and bodyguards she's been working with. Steve Stanulis, Kardashian's former bodyguard, earlier told Page Six that Kardashian, 35, should be more careful on social media. "Kim's social media and her Snapchat is her undoing. When she is posting, 'Here I am, and this is the $5 million ring I am wearing, here's where I am going,' you are basically inviting someone to rob you." The Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills, which is run by former police officers and Navy SEALs, said Kardashian urgently needs much stronger security measures as she documents her life on social media. International & special operations director Richard Davis tells us, "You need to rent the room on the right and a room on the left. Plus men in the hallway and the elevator who will stop people and say, may we see your room key please. Now, they'll meet in the lobby or hallway and that's their pickup and dropoff point and the bodyguards go back home. We've been warning them for years." (Page Six)

Janice Dickinson can no longer brag about dating a doctor, because the man she's set to marry just surrendered his license ... TMZ has learned. Psychiatrist Robert Hugh Gerner allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a female patient from 2004 to 2011, and even lived with her during the last 3 years, according to docs filed in the case. All that was before he started dating Janice, but the bigger problem is breaking the code of ethics. The California Medical Board filed a complaint against Gerner in 2015, and he waved the white flag in June of this year. It isn't the first time Dickinson's fiance has been through something like this. According to docs, he was suspended for 60 days in 1994 for sexual misconduct with another patient. We reached out to Gerner's people, but so far no word back. (TMZ)

The Kim Kardashian robbery will not be solved by fingering the culprits on video ... because a search for surveillance footage has come up dry. Sources connected to the case tell us ... there was no surveillance video inside or outside the hotel premises. The only video available is police surveillance footage. Problem is, we're told the camera doesn't face the front of the building and the robbers evaded the lens. We know police had canvassed the area looking for video from nearby businesses but came up dry. TMZ has learned only 1 cell phone was stolen from Kim's apartment, not 2 as widely reported. We're told the phone in question did not have "compromising information" and was remotely wiped. (TMZ)

THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Benedict Cumberbatch Accuses "Obsessive" Cumberbitches of "Stalking." It's time for Benedict Cumberbatch's "Cumberbitches" to let him live. The British actor was profiled for Vanity Fair's November issue (on newsstands this week). But before contributor Michael Schulman met Cumberbatch for the interview, he scrolled through Twitter and found a fan had posted an odd message about the actor. "Sometimes when I'm sad I picture a shirtless Benedict Cumberbatch slowly eating an apple fritter. Try it!" Cumberbatch tried to laugh at the frivolity. "Have you tried that?" the actor joked. "It wouldn't work for me." What other alternative is there than to laugh? "I'm glad I'm bringing a ray of sunshine to an otherwise dull day, being imagined eating fritters shirtless. But, I don't know, it makes me giggle," Cumberbatch admitted. "I don't look at myself in the mirror and go, 'Yeah, absolutely! I see what they're saying!' I see all my faults and everything that I've always seen as my faults." Invariably, some fans have taken their admiration too far for the actor's liking. "There are people who believe that my wife is a P.R. stunt and my child is a P.R. stunt," Cumberbatch, 40, said of conspiracy theorists. "I think really it's to do with the idea that the 'Internet's boyfriend' can't actually belong to anyone else but the Internet. It's impossible he belongs to anyone but me. And that's what stalking is. That's what obsessive, deluded, really scary behavior is." It's sad, in a way, that some of Cumberbatch's fans can't be happy for him. "Having a baby -- it's massive," he said. "And on a very unexpected level. Suddenly I understood my parents much more profoundly than I ever had before." Fatherhood has helped in other ways, too. "I was expecting, with Hamlet, that it might be a hindrance to be a father, because it's all about being a son. But it's the opposite. You understand much more about being a son, becoming a father." Tilda Swinton, with whom he co-stars in Dr. Strange, has seen a change in him. "My fondest impression of him is as a new husband besotted by his girl, and a new father enchanted by his boy," she said. A veteran of the industry herself, the actress isn't worried that fame will go to Cumberbatch's head after the film is released. "I think he knows that he wants -- and has -- a life first and foremost, that his life suits and nourishes him and that it makes the world go round." So, what does Cumberbatch want to do next? "It's a sappy answer," he said, "but the truth is I want to seek some thrills at home." Vanity Fair's November issue is on newsstands this week. (Eonline)

Gigi Hadid Proves Working Out Has More Than Just Physical Benefits in New Campaign With Reebok. There's so much more to working out than what meets the eye. For some Americans, heading to the gym is strictly to get those six-pack abs or perfect one part of the body. But for Gigi Hadid, it's not about focusing on imperfections. Instead, it's about feeling your best inside and out. As the newest face of Reebok's #PerfectNever movement, the style icon and supermodel headed to the gym for a tough boxing class. But trust us, these sweats are going to good use. "Working out isn't only physical for me. It's mental. It helps me escape the noise in my head," she shared. "It's the only time my mind goes quiet." Both Gigi and Reebok are challenging women to use physical fitness as an escape to drown out all of the negativity that surrounds them. And before you think Gigi has never experienced any challenges in her life, she's quick to admit that she has undergone some obstacles growing up. "When I was a competitive athlete, I used to be so focused on being perfect that my coaches would take me out of competing all together," she confessed. "I'd focus on my mistakes which would breed more missteps -- a domino effect." Gigi added, "Until I learned to change the channel, to re-focus, re-set. It was my mistakes, my imperfections that motivated me most." And if you're still not convinced that sometime in the gym could bring benefits, we can't help but be reminded of Gigi's scary situation she recently experienced at Milan Fashion Week. When Vitalii Sediuk picked up Gigi as she exited Milan's MaxMara show, the model immediately fought back. "I played volleyball, and my coaches talked about muscle memory. I started boxing two years ago and I always remembered that," she shared in a post to Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter. "Since then, I hadn't been in a situation that forced me to fight back, but it just came out when he grabbed me -- it wasn't a choice. I do have that fighter in me." Learn more about the #PerfectNever movement by visiting Reebok's website here. (Eonline)

Emily Blunt Reveals Her First Celebrity Crush. It's been 15 years since Emily Blunt made her professional acting debut opposite Judi Dench in the West End in the play The Royal Family. Yes, her first role was alongside Judi Dench! "Judi Dench was incredible and kind to me and I knew nothing," Blunt told me while promoting The Girl on the Train. "I was so green. I was 18. And I remember meeting her for the first time and we were doing a poster shoot for the play and they were doing hair and makeup, which was like something I had never ever experienced before, and I was sitting there in the mirror and then I just heard that voice, that very iconic voice and I couldn't stand, my legs just went weak." Blunt's first red carpet was three years later at the Toronto International Film Festival for the indie My Summer of Love. When I asked what she wore, Blunt grimaced, "I think it was probably some hideous dress I pulled together when I didn't have help from a stylist." And then there's Ms. Blunt's first celebrity crush. "Oh," she said, "I had a huge crush on Damon Albarn from Blur. [It was] massive." (Eonline)

Blake Shelton Sends Love to Gwen Stefani on Her Birthday. Someone had an extra special day Monday. Blake Shelton took to Twitter Monday afternoon, and no, it wasn't just to fight with his fellow Voice coaches or answer fans' burning questions stemming from tabloid stories -- it was to wish his ladylove Gwen Stefani a happy birthday, and to congratulate the star on her latest achievement! "Happy Birthday @gwenstefani and congrats on the debut of @KuuKuuHarajuku!!!!," he wrote. She hasn't responded to her beau on the social media website, but tweeted earlier, "#happy birthday," (emphasis on the "happy," of course). And what's not to be happy about? Along with her birthday, the star celebrated the premiere of her new Nickelodeon series Kuu Kuu Harajuku, an animated show about a girl group. While festivities for both events have yet to be revealed, Stefani did tease some cake, pie and creative cupcakes that were brought out for this occasion on her Snapchat. The singer also wore a tiara, because duh, who wouldn't want to be a birthday princess? As for what Shelton has planned for his lady, it's possible that the two opted to celebrate her birthday a little early. The duo were spotted enjoying Dolly Parton's concert at the Hollywood Bowl with a sold-out crowd. Photos surfaced of the pair together from fans who were also at the show, singing along to some country tunes. For those who were anticipating an engagement on her birthday, you might have to wait a little longer. Wedding rumors have been swirling between these two for a while, but when Ellen DeGeneres asked her about a possible marriage on the horizon, Stefani just laughed it off. "I just need to know so I can clear that schedule," the daytime talk show host joked. Gwen giggled, telling Ellen, "Oh, you're crazy." "Just let me know," the comedienne said. "OK," Gwen promised. "I'll let you know." Don't forget, Gwen. Let us know. (Eonline)

The Tipsy Girl has stumbled once again. We're told that "Real Housewife" Sonja Morgan has failed to get a liquor license for her planned West Eighth Street restaurant called Tipsy Girl -- and now she and her investors are staring down the barrel of a million-dollar loss of the money they put into renovating the West Village spot, if they can't find a fast fix. Meanwhile -- in a not-unexpected move -- sources close to Morgan suspect that arch rival and Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel is somehow behind the eatery's latest setback. Back in February, the local community board sniffily recommended that the State Liquor Authority deny the Tipsy Girl restaurant a liquor license, reeling in horror at the revelation "that [the] 'Tipsy Girl' brand was a plotline on the reality TV show the 'Real House Wives of New York' [sic], on which [Morgan] appears as a cast member" and "that the location was in fact intended to be a destination location that would be promoted through a buried plotline on the reality television show." Fearing that the neighborhood could be overrun by wine-drenched, drama-dependent reality stars, the authority upheld the community board's decision on Tuesday, leaving Morgan and her investors to come up with a new game plan. Insiders tell us they may regroup and reapply with a new name for the restaurant, while keeping the Tipsy Girl name on its line of prosecco. But this isn't the first hiccup for the buzzed-about brand. Last year, Frankel -- who owns the Skinnygirl brand of, among other things, pre-mixed cocktails -- filed to trademark "Tipsygirl," presumably viewing the moniker as too close to her brand's. But Frankel's action was suspended by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Now Team Tipsy is claiming that Frankel somehow influenced the boards' decisions. "She has done everything to try to trip them up," said an insider, referring to the trademark dispute. But when asked how Frankel could possibly be behind this latest stumbling block, the source admitted, "I don't know." Make theirs a double. (Page Six)

Ben Stiller's pranks on his older sister, Amy, are funnier than his latest movies. The star of "Zoolander 2" and 2013's "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" recently pretended to be a Trump supporter as he was texting with Amy, prompting her to write on Facebook that he "completely freaked me out." Ben had texted: "We really need to build a wall, Amy. Get real." "I just called him shaking and crying, and he laughed uproariously," Amy, an actress who has appeared in many of Ben's movies, posted. "That little stinker." And this wasn't the first time. The siblings grew up as showbiz royalty, the children of Jerry Stiller, 89, and Anne Meara, who died last year. "You locked me in your dark room/bathroom when I was 15 and screamed, 'Watch out! It's gonna blow!' followed by the same uproarious laughter. False alarm," Amy wrote. "Little brothers .?.?. I tell ya." Neither Stiller sibling could be reached. Ben recently signed on to play a dad taking his son on a tour of college campuses in "Brad's Status," an indie movie written and directed by Mike White. Karl Lagerfeld on Kim Kardashian's Robbery: "You Cannot Display Your Wealth and Then Be Surprised." Karl Lagerfeld is not mincing words about Kim Kardashian's robbery. The famed creative director of Chanel addressed reporters during the label's fashion show in Paris on Tuesday, commenting at length on the reality star's life-threatening experience. The comments were captured on video and shared by The Telegraph. "I don't understand why she was in a hotel with no security and think like this," the 83-year-old designer began. "If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room. You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you." As a resident of Paris, Lagerfeld also commented on how the event may impact the area, particularly after the country suffered two of its deadliest terrorist attacks in November and July. "Image-wise, I think it is very bad," he told reporters. "We make all the efforts to make Paris appealing." Despite his critical words, he did issue a message of support to Kardashian immediately after reports surfaced of the robbery. "Dearest Kim, We are all with you. Love, Karl," he wrote on a note photographed and shared on social media. Lagerfeld has collaborated with the Kardashians and Jenners in the past, notably casting Kim's younger sister Kendall Jenner in several runway shows over the years. Most recently, he photographed Kim and Kanye West for the coveted September issue of Harper's Bazaar. "Kim's contribution to beauty and fashion... is the fact that you don't have to be super slim and very tall to be beautiful," he told Page Six last year. "I like her mother [Kris Jenner] a lot and I adore her little half-sister Kendall." As E! confirmed late Sunday, the reality star had been gagged, bound, handcuffed and held at gunpoint by two armed, masked men dressed as police officers who broke into her Paris hotel room. After taping her mouth, putting her in the bathtub and stealing millions of dollars worth of jewelry, the men fled. According to a source, Kardashian's stylist and friend Simone Harouche, who was elsewhere in the apartment at the time, heard the commotion, locked herself in a bathroom and called the reality star's bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, who had been with sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall at a Parisian party. Ultimately, security and police quickly arrived and, after giving authorities a statement, Kardashian boarded a plane home. She reunited with West at their current New York City Airbnb and has kept a very low profile since. (Eonline)

Khloe Kardashian Lands Back in Los Angeles Following Kim Kardashian's Terrifying Paris Robbery. A somber Khloe Kardashian was spotted back in Los Angeles on Monday. The E! star has returned home after hearing of the terrifying news surrounding her sister Kim Kardashian's robbery at gunpoint in Paris. Khloe was away spending some time in Cleveland to support her beau Tristan Thompson on the basketball court for the annual Wine and Gold scrimmage, while most of her family was at the City of Light in honor of Fashion Week. Khloe, understandably so, looked distressed during her outing, wearing casual black workout clothes while leaving an LA studio with heightened security detail. As E! News previously reported, 35-year-old Kim was "held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers," her rep told us. Kim was "badly shaken but physically unharmed," her rep added. More details about the scary incident that took place emerged overnight. A source revealed to E! News that Kim was gagged and bound at her hands and feet, then handcuffed and held at gunpoint. "She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub." The source added, "She thought they were for sure going to kill her." Kim instantly left Paris and landed at Teterboro airport in New Jersey Monday morning, where the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was able to meet up with husband Kanye West, who left his concert midway in New York City after being alerted of what happened. Following the incident, Yeezy has decided to postpone his upcoming Saint Pablo tour dates. The rapper's Philadelphia's Wells Fargo (Oct. 4) and the Palace at Auburn Hills, Detroit (Oct. 6) shows will now take place on Dec. 13 and Dec. 22, respectively. The tour will resume this Friday (Oct. 7) at Chicago's United Center. (Eonline)

Kourtney Kardashian . . . I Need More Protection Too. Kourtney Kardashian touched down in L.A. and was greeted by a tighter security detail than usual, and they immediately went to work ... shielding her from a horde of media. Kourtney was whisked through LAX with 2 huge guys surrounding her -- while other bodyguards cleared a path to her waiting SUV. As we reported ... Kim's trusted bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was not with her at the time of the armed robbery -- instead he was with Kourt and Kendall Jenner in a Paris nightclub. Much like Kim and Kris Jenner Monday morning in NYC -- it's clear the whole family is going to be rolling deep with bodyguards. (TMZ)

Taylor Swift to Headline Pre-Super Bowl Performance in Houston. Taylor Swift isn't one to sit on the sidelines. So, on Feb. 4, the pop star will headline an AT&T DIRECTV pre–Super Bowl concert the night before the game in Houston, Texas. Whether she will debut new music is -- for now -- a mystery. The performance was announced in conjunction with a multi-year deal that Swift, 26, signed with AT&T. A custom 64,000-square-foot venue is being built just for the "Blank Space" singer, and fans will have a chance to get tickets through a variety of AT&T promotions and campaigns. To celebrate the partnership, Swift tweeted a football jersey featuring her lucky number, 13. "Thanks @ATT," the pop singer told her 81.1 million followers Tuesday. "This is gonna be fun." AT&T, of course, shares Swift's sentiments. "We're thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways. We're excited to get event tickets into the hands of Taylor's fans and exclusive content from the event to our customers and celebrate the combination of one of the world's biggest artists with one of the world's biggest sporting events," AT&T CEO John Stankey said in a statement released Tuesday. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, has been tapped to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show Feb. 5. "I just want to do what I'm doing right in this moment," the "Perfect Illusion" singer recently told E! News while promoting her campaign with Bud Light Music. "I want to sing and dance and be as close as I can to as many fans and people as possible and bring them together through music and through live performance. That's my calling and that's really what I'm most focused on. I don't have an answer for you of what I want next -- I don't really want anything other than to make people happy through music and I hope that I can bring these Joanne vibes to the world." Kanye West Reschedules Saint Pablo Tour Dates After Kim Kardashian's Robbery. When it all falls down, Kanye West is by Kim Kardashian's side. After the reality star was held at gunpoint and robbed of millions of dollars' worth of jewelry, the rapper cancelled his New York City concert mid-show to protect his wife. Back in the Big Apple, West waited for her arrival and has since taken extra measures to be with his family during their frightening time. According to a statement from Live Nation, the rapper has rescheduled two upcoming shows for his ongoing Saint Pablo Tour that were originally scheduled for Oct. 4 and Oct. 6. "Due to family concerns, this week's Philadelphia and Detroit dates on the Saint Pablo Tour have been rescheduled," Live Nation told Rolling Stone. "The Philadelphia show will take place on December 13 and the Detroit show on December 22." As the magazine reported, the tour will pick back up in Chicago on Oct. 7. As E! News recently reported, the mother of two was in her Parisian hotel room when five men threatened the hotel's concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to open Kardashian's private apartment, according to the French Interior Ministry. Two masked men dressed as police officers gained access to the room, gagged her, bound her hands and feet and handcuffed her while holding her at gunpoint. "She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub," a source told E! News. "She thought they were for sure going to kill her." Fortunately, her close friend and stylist Simone Harouche was nearby, heard the commotion and locked herself in a downstairs bathroom. "Simone texted [Kim's bodyguard] Pascal Duvier and Kourtney Kardashian," a source described. "She couldn't dial 911 from her phone." After the robbers left, Kim went to her friend with duct tape still on her legs and told Simone to jump off the balcony to get free. However, security and police soon arrived and Kim has since reunited with her husband back in the United States. (Eonline)

Usher Joins Chanel at Technology-Themed Paris Fashion Week Show. Chanel's show is always one of the -- if not the -- most anticipated show of Paris Fashion Week. In part because a) its Chanel and b) you never know quite what Karl Lagerfeld, the Parisian house's creative director of 34 years, has in store, particularly when it comes to sets or the front row. On Tuesday morning, Lagerfeld transformed Paris's glass-ceilinged Grand Palais into "Data Center Chanel," featuring racks upon racks of servers set behind sheets of plastic lining a runway that ran the length and breadth of the Grand Palais's main hall. The R&B singer Usher -- whose latest album, Hard II Love, dropped just two-and-a-half weeks ago -- made a rare front row appearance alongside Courtney Love, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, Chanel face Lily-Rose Depp and, further down next to Vogue's Anna Wintour, tennis star Roger Federer. Set to a soundtrack of -- what else? -- techno music (specifically, DJ Dextro's "Tremulo"), two models emerged, one in a classic Chanel suit in white, the other in black, and both wearing white plastic helmets, gloves and leg encasings in the style of the internationally famous robot Pepper, the one designed by Japan's SoftBank as a day-to-day companion with a unnerving ability to read and respond to human emotions. It was a striking image. What followed were looks that riffed on the visual themes of digital technology, particularly the more tangible aspects (i.e. the hardware): There were colorful tweed suits that looked as if they were woven of plastic-sheathed wire; silk dresses and coats digitally printed with blown-up and abstracted cable cords; shiny, quilted black jackets criss-crossed with rainbow-colored thread; and, sure to be a strong seller, light-up versions of the house's bestselling bags. These were paired with '90s-style baseball caps festooned with the house's signature flower, the camilla; ropes of faux pearls that riffed on rapper chains of the same decade; single oversized earrings; and sheer lingerie details on blouses and skirts (which is shaping up to be a key trend of the spring/summer 2017 season). Saint Millie, Mano & Sir Michael Rocks Team Up for 'No Heauxs' Video: Premiere. Chicago rapper Saint Millie recruits producer Mano and The Cool Kids' own Sir Michael Rocks for the visual to his anti-pimping anthem "No Heauxs." Here, the trio rap all about their paper-chasing while saying no to hoes. "I ain't got no hoes," raps Millie on the hook. The soulful beat also incorporates the Chris Tucker skit, where the comedian asks, "What if Michael Jackson was a pimp?" Collaborating with Mano and Rocks was also a dream come true for Millie. "Man I got to work with two ppl that helped pave the way for artists like myself coming out of Chicago," he tells Billboard over e-mail. Mano, who recently worked on The Weeknd's "False Alarm" with producer Doc McKinney, adds, "My bro Millie played me the beat one day. C-sick originally produced it b4 i put my touch on it as well. the beat was so sick i had 2 jump on it. I made the hook and we had momentum. 1 day mikey rocks was over we was working on some music and i played it for him and he really was digging the concept cause he could really relate with the hook and the cool self-deprecating humor surrounding it. I knew we had something special." "'No Heauxs' was tight to make," Sir Michael Rocks says. "3 real chicago players all on one track talking that real sh*t. People think just because you're poppin' you got a million girls you're entertaining. False. We only strive for the highest caliber of living and the same goes for the women we attracted to... It's quality over quantity people!" "No Heauxs" appeared on Saint Millie's Adderrall project. (Billboard)

Prince's Paisley Park Museum Debut This Week May Be Delayed. The public opening of Prince's suburban Minneapolis estate and studio complex scheduled for this week could be delayed because the city council hasn't approved a rezoning request. That zoning change was set aside by the Chanhassen City Council Monday night following more than three hours of discussion and public comment. Several council members said they needed more time to study the impact of opening Paisley Park as a museum. Paisley Park tours are scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 6. It's not clear when the council will decide on the rezoning request. The Star Tribune reports that council member Bethany Tjornhom said the community needs time to talk about whether it wants to be a "tourist town" and host an anticipated 600,000 visitors a year. "I think we have one chance to get this right," Tjornhom said. According to The Current, ticket buyers began receiving notices about the delay on Tuesday morning. "We will email you with updates very soon," it reads. The Chanhassen reports that the city now has until Dec. 23 to act on the rezoning request. If no action is taken, then the request will be approved. Prince collapsed died of an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl at Paisley Park in April. Investigators have narrowed their focus to two main questions surrounding his death: whether doctors illegally prescribed opioids meant for the pop star and whether the fentanyl that killed him came from a black-market source, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press. Prince was 57 when he was found April 21 in an elevator at his suburban Minneapolis studio and estate. Authorities have revealed little publicly about their investigation, saying only that the probe is ongoing. Investigations of fatal overdoses can be lengthy and complex, especially when drug traffickers or other underworld figures are involved. As little as 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be lethal and those who make it illicitly are not meticulous about how much fentanyl goes in each pill. Traffickers often pass the pills off as Oxycontin or some other name-brand opioid, so, if Prince took a counterfeit pill, he may not have known it contained fentanyl. Determining whether the last person to hand or send the fentanyl to Prince knew it was fentanyl is probably one of the most difficult questions for investigators. Another possibility is that Prince ordered the drugs himself online. Some online distributors accept orders through dark-net sites, then deliver the drugs by unsuspecting mail-service companies. If traffickers bear responsibility for the fatal fentanyl, identifying them could be difficult, even impossible. Shortly after Prince's death, authorities said they were looking at whether a doctor supplied him with drugs, similar to how Conrad Murray prescribed the anesthetic propofol to Michael Jackson, contributing to his 2009 death. Charges against a doctor for writing unnecessary prescriptions to feed someone's drug habit can quickly stack up. They can include tax evasion if ill-gotten profits are not included on tax returns, as well as wire fraud if any aspect of the crime was conducted over the telephone. (Billboard)

Ben Affleck Reveals the Working Title of His Solo Batman Movie. Ben Affleck became Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which he and Superman first appeared as foes but then became allies, but next up Affleck will be appearing as the caped crusader in a solo movie. While talking about his upcoming thriller The Accountant, Affleck also shed some light on his upcoming superhero movie that he will star in, co-write and direct. Instead of using another lengthy title for his next time as Bruce Wayne, Affleck revealed that his solo movie has a working title of The Batman. "At least that's what we're going with now," Affleck added, per Entertainment Weekly. "I might change it." There is still plenty of time for Affleck to rethink that (relatively boring) title. Although there's no set release date, The Batman is expected to hit theaters between 2018 and 2020, after The Flash movie but before the Cyborg film. Justice League is set for release in November 2017. First, however, Affleck will appear in the highly anticipated Justice League movie. The first teaser trailer for Zack Snyder and DC Entertainment's new superhero ensemble movie was posted on YouTube and unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016, marking the first released footage from the anticipated film. In the clip, Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman, talks about building an "alliance" of "warriors" with "special abilities" to fight against an "enemy" coming from far away. In the Justice League teaser, his character is shown talking to Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, played by fellow past co-star Gal Gadot, and getting into a physical confrontation with Arthur Currry/Aquaman, played by franchise newcomer Jason Momoa. How the Busan Film Festival Is Bouncing Back Under Political Pressure. After two years of controversy, boycotts and infighting between fest organizers and city officials, South Korea's biggest film event looks to regain its footing with a 301-film lineup and Hollywood's support. Two years after facing a crisis that threatened its status as one of Asia's premier film events, the Busan Film Festival is attempting to start over. The trouble began in 2014 when then-fest director Lee Yong-kwan pushed forth with the screening of a controversial documentary in spite of strong opposition from Busan mayor and former Busan Film Festival chairman Suh Byung-soo. The doc, Diving Bell, took a critical look at the largely failed rescue mission of the Sewol Ferry, which capsized in April 2014, killing hundreds of passengers, mostly teenage students. The event had a traumatic nationwide effect, comparable to 9/11 in the U.S. Soon after, the Busan metropolitan government, which funds about half of the fest's annual budget, cut its funding by nearly 50 percent (from $1.3 million in 2014 to $731,000 in 2015). Festival organizers called the action "political retaliation," and soon a number of prominent Korean -- and international -- film industry figures stepped up to defend the fest. Prominent regulars such as Park Chan-wook and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, as well as Cannes Film Festival chief Thierry Fremaux and Venice's Alberto Barbera, held demonstrations and signed petitions, while major Korean studios and distributors including CJ Entertainment, Showbox/Mediaplex and NEW offered bigger sponsorship packages. Individuals also reached into their own pockets: Seoul Cinema CEO Ko Eun-ah donated 100 million Korean won (about $85,000) to keep the fest going. In one respect, the festival supporters won: In July, the Korean culture ministry approved protestors' efforts to amend the Busan fest's bylaws by adding a clause that guarantees complete artistic freedom for the programmers, festival director and members of the organizing committee. But the victory came with a price: Fest director Lee and market head Jay Jeon were forced by local government officials to leave the very event they co-founded. This left Kang Soo-youn, an iconic actress who became fest co-director in 2015, as the sole director making executive decisions. Committee and board members recently voted to appoint former fest head Kim Dong-ho to handle administrative details as the new chairman. But bringing back the 79-year-old Busan Film Festival founder -- who had retired six years ago -- is deemed by one industry figure as "a makeshift emergency plan." The power shift has left the Korean film scene divided. Earlier this year, major Korean film figures formed numerous coalitions spanning directors, producers and critics to declare a boycott of this year's festival if local authorities did not step aside. Of the nine groups, four decided to end the boycott as the fest opening neared and four -- including the Directors Guild of Korea, headed by Snowpiercer helmer Bong Joon Ho -- chose not to attend, while the remaining one association stayed undecided. "Many are upset that key figures had to leave leadership roles of the festival, and others are doubtful about whether [the amendments to the bylaws] would completely deter political pressure and are thus maintaining the boycott," says Kim Si-moo, president of the Film Studies Association of Korea. "Now that BIFF has made changes on paper, it must realize the new bylaws by showing that it is a festival operated by filmmakers, not government officials." The fest still is facing financing challenges. The Korean culture ministry has increased its annual funding, from last year's 800 million won to 900 million won (about $805,000), but sponsors have been reluctant to pledge as much support due to the uncertainty surrounding the event. Despite all the trouble, festival organizers have put together a lineup that largely holds up against previous editions. "BIFF seems to have [somehow] put together a program we can look forward to," says Kim Si-moo of this year's presentation of 301 films from 69 countries, a lineup size that remains largely unchanged from past festivals. A strong Hollywood presence is expected, such as a gala presentation of Bleed for This, with the boxing drama's star Miles Teller on hand for the screening. The fest also will showcase Korean-language productions backed by major U.S. studios, including Fox International's summer blockbuster The Wailing and Warner Bros.' recent box-office smash The Age of Shadows, which was chosen as Korea's Oscar entry for best foreign-language film. Says Kim Dong-ho: "We believe hosting this year's festival no matter [what] would be the best way to defend BIFF, and we are planning things accordingly. We are hoping this will be an opportunity to turn things around for the better, to make the next 20 years of the festival a new and meaningful one." (Hollywood Reporter)

'X-Men: Apocalypse': Nightcrawler Actor on the Franchise's Future and the Battles to Come. As the Fox film hits Blu-ray, Kodi Smit-McPhee looks forward to playing an older, tougher version of the character in the future. A major question left at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse is which path the franchise will take next. Apocalypse introduced a new class of mutants, with young versions of Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp) bringing new energy to complement the now-seasoned X-Men: First Class versions of Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence). Smit-McPhee has his own hopes for where things go from here -- with the young class front and center. As evidence as to why that makes sense, he says look no further than the final scene of Apocalypse, which features the new lineup in the Danger Room under the watchful guidance of Mystique and Professor X. "They kind of mended some things that didn't make sense with this timeline, but also they've completely left it to us, very obviously," he tells Heat Vision of the continuity course correction the franchise took with Days of Future Past. "We're in the Danger Room and the door opens up and we're all in our comic book-accurate costumes. I think it's kind of teasing the audience to be a little excited for something to come. I only have the same judgment as the audience does. I'm hoping." The franchise is now 16 years in and is preparing to say goodbye to Hugh Jackman with next March's third Wolverine film. It paid homage to the original stars of Bryan Singer's 2000 X-Men movie with X-Men: Days of Future Past and going forward, it's unclear how the First Class cast and Apocalypse's young actors all factor in. X-Men writer/producer Simon Kinberg has said the next X-Men film will be set in the '90s, though it's unclear if that next film will be director Josh Boone's New Mutants project or a direct sequel to Apocalypse. If he does portray Nightcrawler in a 90s-set film, Smit-McPhee looks forward to portraying him with a little bit of an edge. "I obviously displayed him as shy, loving, compassionate, grounded and humble. That would be more abundant in his younger age. If the next movie was to go ahead into the '90s, like they've been doing with the continuity, I feel like I could play him a little tougher, like he's been through a little more battles," says Smit-McPhee. The star sees that as a way to pay tribute both to the comic book character as well as lead him toward the path to becoming like the version Alan Cumming played in 2003's X2: X-Men United. "He's just right in that sweet spot where it's an homage to how he's displayed in the comic book and what Alan did," says the actor. "That would really shows an arc through not just, one movie itself but all the installments." X-Men: Apocalypse is available on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and DVD now. (Hollywood Reporter)

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events Gets a Premiere Date & a Dire First Teaser. You'd be wise to completely disregard everything Lemony Snicket has to say. After all, if you took everything the author of A Series of Unfortunate Events (played by Patrick Warburton) says to heart in this first teaser for Netflix's new series based on his works, you might be convinced to avoid the series altogether. "The story of the Baudelaire orphans is so upsetting and so utterly unnerving," Snicket warns from a darkened soundstage, "the entire crew is suffering from low moral -- a phrase which here means 'currently under observation for mencholia, ennui, and acute wistfulness.'" Of course, not everyone's as effected as Snicket advertises. "Joy, joy, happiness! My fortune's about to change," Neil Patrick Harris' Count Olaf can be heard bellowing in the distance before letting out a menacing laugh. "So please, don't make the same mistake Netflix has and look away before this dire tale is even filmed and avoid the cruel whimsy and whimsical cruelty of what's to come," Snicket begs before the premiere date for the new series is announced. The new series, should you go against Snicket's advice, will be available for streaming on Jan. 13, 2017. Based on the internationally best-selling books by Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events tells the tragic tale of Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. They must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents' mysterious death. The eight-episode series, executive produced by Barry Sonnenfeld and Handler, also stars Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet) and Louis Hynes (Klaus). (Eonline)

The sixth season stars Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, Andre Holland and Denis O'Hare. And yes, Lady Gaga is in it. Of course no plot details were revealed, but Murphy has said he has the theme already and is looking ahead at season eight too. There's also a secret season in the works. "It's my secret season," Murphy told EW. "I've been working with a writer on a season that only he and I know." Murphy said there's no date for this season yet, but work is being done. "It's one person writing all episodes. The whole show has been a great joy to me because it's an experiment." The series is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, Landgraf told press at TCA that they haven't talked about an end date yet. "We haven't talked about," Landgraf said. "All good things must come to an end, but...[as long as] Ryan keeps coming up with new and original ends and the audience wants to see it... As long as you can keep coming up with new ideas you can keep going... it's only the limits of [the] stories and imaginations that end the show. Only time will tell." American Horror Story: Roanoke airs Wednesdays, 10 p.m. on FX. (Eonline)

We're gonna go to nerves and self-confidence boot camp," Levine said. (People)

Coffee coffee coffee! Time to wish you lived in America/Canada because Netflix is turning 250 cafes into real-life Luke's Diners so that Gilmore Girls fans can get free coffee. To celebrate the 16th anniversary of the very first episode airing (16 years? Jeez, that means Rory is now as old as Lorelai was back then - MATHS!), and the four new episodes coming in November, a whole bunch of cafes are going to get the Luke's Diner treatment. Near you if you live in the US or Canada, because this promo is across the pond only. I KNOW! Let's start a petition right now. We've emailed our friends at the UK branch of Stars Hollow to find out whether such a cool thing might wend its way to Britain and Northern Ireland, and we'll report back as soon as we hear anything. But if you DO live near one of these cafes, you'll be able to get a free coffee from 7am to midday on 5th October, and the cafe will be decked out just like Luke's. Switch your mobile off, guys... So why Luke's, and what is this Luke's Diner situation anyhow? Luke's is one of the beating hearts in the little Connecticut town of Stars Hollow where Lorelai Gilmore lives, formerly with her daughter Rory, and has particular meaning to the girls because Luke and Lorelai had A Thing on and off for most of the series. You can't have a Gilmore without coffee, and you can't have coffee without Luke's. La lala la lala la la...(British Glamour)

No Tomorrow, TV's Only Apocalyptic Rom-Com, Is Here to Make Bucket Lists Cute. What goes best with romance? The apocalypse, naturally. The CW's No Tomorrow pairs those unlikely things for a charming look at love and taking chances. There's Xavier (Galavant's Joshua Sasse), a firm believer that the world is going to end thanks to an asteroid and then there's Evie (Tori Anderson), a by-the-books type of girl. "He does have proof," Sasse said of his character's belief in the end being nigh. "I'm not just crazy." And that's where the Apocalyst comes in. Xavier wants to accomplish some things before the world is destroyed. "It's sort of like a bucket list that he comes up with and it's basically taking her character, who is very sort of stuck in her loop of life, and just breaking all the walls down," Sasse said of the new pairing. "It's just about living your life and taking opportunities you can," Anderson teased. Corinne Brinkerhoff, Scott McCabe and Tori Stanton are behind the series that also stars Amy Pietz, Jesse Rath, Jonathan Langdon and Sarayu Blue. And would it be a true romantic comedy without a love triangle? "What I love about this show is there's a sort of a love triangle going on because our leading lady has a potential fiance, so she's really torn between the wild man and the darling who gives his heart to her," Pietz said. And what's on their real-life bucket lists? Be sure to watch the video up top. And stay tuned to get an update on Galavant's potential life on stage. No Tomorrow premieres Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. on The CW. (Eonline)

Amber Rose Sounds Off on Julianne Hough's Dancing With the Stars Comments: "I Felt Very Angry," But It's All Good Now. Amber Rose is putting the Dancing With the Stars drama behind her. Amber and judge Julianne Hough addressed the body shaming controversy during the Monday, Oct. 3 episode. The drama has been swirling around the two since last week's DWTS episode. Amber and professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Argentine tango to "Tickle Tango" by Simon Carpentier and received a 24 out of 30, all eights from judges Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. "I feel wonderful. It's been a really great week for me, so I feel really good," Amber told E! News. She spoke to the judging panel first about the body shaming issue. "I just kind wanted to clear the air that it wasn't anything negative. I felt very embarrassed, I felt very angry, I felt like I was shamed last week," Amber told us. "[Julianne Hough] said it wasn't like that, she was only speaking on my dance alone. I take her word for it. I believe it. We just cleared the air. It's just all positive energy for here on." During the show, Julianne Hough said, "I would like to say one thing, also. The thing I love so much about dance is that it's a universal platform for people to express themselves. Any person -- whether that is age, height, body shape, ethnicity or sexual orientation -- it is something that people can express themselves to do. And for me, I am a huge supporter of that and that alone and as a judge, I'm here to solely judge you and everyone in this competition for only the dancing. I want you to know that." Maks said he's glad everything was cleared up. "I like this show to be positive and celebrate positivity. I was part of dramatic moments in the past and we talked about this, I was like, 'It never looks good watching it back.' Something drops in the energy during the flow of the show," he said. There's a double elimination in the Tuesday, Oct. 4 episode and Amber admitted she's nervous. "I'm always nervous. I'm having the time of my life here. I met a life-long friend in Maks... I don't want it to end. I'm glad that I did well, I'm not as nervous as I was the past two weeks, but you never know," she said. (Eonline)

Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O'Brien Joke About Kim Kardashian's Robbery as James Corden Comes to Her Defense Yet Again. The men of late-night took varying approaches to addressing Kim Kardashian West's robbery in Paris. While Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O'Brien went for big laughs on their respective shows, Jamie Lee Curtis praised host James Corden for being respectful to Kardashian, a victim of a serious crime. After sharing key details -- Kardashian was bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint inside her apartment early Monday morning, and now $10 million in jewels are missing -- Kimmel tried to bring some levity to the situation. "You have to wonder: How is it possible?" he asked on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday. "I mean, somehow these guys found the one moment this decade that this woman wasn't surrounded by 40 people with cameras, and they took advantage of it." In mock seriousness, Kimmel issued a warning message to the "bastards" who assaulted her. "We will tolerate a lot of nonsense, but you do not mess with Kim Kardashian West. Whether you like her or not, she's one of us," he said. "If we find out you harmed even a single extension on her People's Choice Award-winning head, we will find you and we will make you so les miserables, you will wish you were never born to a woman who doesn't shave her armpits." "We will tape you up and we'll lock you in a room, and you know what we will do? We'll force you to watch the parts of Keeping Up With the Kardashians where Kim's mother eats a big salad and complains about the maid in front of the maid over and over again. We will knock those raspberry berets off your head and those curly little mustaches off your snail-eating faces. We want that jewelry back, and the criminals who took it prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Kimmel said. "And you'd better Gerard Depardieu it quick or we will have no choice but to send Khloe over there, and when that happens, all you can do is pray. You've been warned." Before he moved on to other topics and conduct celebrity interviews, he added, "Right now, Ryan Lochte is on the set of Dancing With the Stars, praying Kim made this whole thing up." Meanwhile, on TBS' Conan, O'Brien kept his joke brief. "No one was hurt, but in a mansion in Paris, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint. Kim was bound and gagged -- then the robbers broke in." Realizing the ramifications of his joke, he said, "And with that, his career was over." During an appearance on CBS' The Late Late Show, Curtis praised Corden for taking the high road. "This very day, something really scary happened to a public person, and you were the first person to stand up and tell [Twitter users] that they should shut the f--k up and leave this poor woman alone and let her recover. And you -- you said it! And I am impressed by you, very much," the Scream Queens star said, reminding the audience that Kardashian is "a mother of two small children! My God, these people just need to have their devices put somewhere." Corden couldn't agree more. "Regardless of whatever you think of someone, it's someone being held at gunpoint in a room," he said. "Just don't say anything. Also, you don't need to say anything. Just don't do anything!" Meanwhile, the men who robbed Kardashian are still at large. A police investigation is ongoing. (Eonline)

Viceland U.K. Ratings off to "Lackluster" Start, Analyst Says. Viewing in the target demographic of 16- to 34-year-olds "was noticeably higher than older groups, but still miniscule," but Vice says any ratings judgments are "extremely premature." Vice Media's Viceland had "a lackluster" start in the U.K., an analyst said in a Tuesday report, citing audience data for the first two weeks from U.K. measurement organization BARB. The Sept. 19 start of the linear TV channel in Britain, exclusively on Sky, "followed six months after a similarly underwhelming entrance into the U.S.," Enders Analysis' Tom Harrington wrote in a report. "Judging a new channel on its ratings when it's just out of the blocks is extremely premature," said a Vice representative. "Looking at Viceland in the U.S. after six months, the average audience age dropped by nearly 20 years, its audience is growing week by week, and our programming is Emmy nominated. In the coming months we expect to mirror the same success here in the U.K. as well." In the 9 to 11 p.m. time slot, when Viceland U.K. premieres new programming, such as Big Night Out and Black Market, live and viewing on the same day as live in the target demographic of 16- to 34-year-olds "was noticeably higher than older groups, but still miniscule," according to Harrington. He cited a high of nearly 10,000 viewers in the demo in the first two weeks in the late evening slot. Viceland U.K.'s overall peak audience reached close to 14,000 in the 9 to 11 p.m. slot in its first two weeks, but "on a number of days, zero live viewers were recorded," Harrington said. "It is surely early days, but despite strong content, initial results were predictable, considering the challenges," he said. "Currently being only on Sky, the channel can be reached by less than half of its desired 16-34 demographic, a group that reduced their viewing by 24 percent between 2010 and the first half of 2016." He added: "With such challenges, for a channel creating original content, the first two weeks of live viewing figures for Viceland U.K. were, predictably, extremely low." He also highlighted the "inaccuracy surrounding small viewerships" inherent in BARB data. Critics have often said that BARB doesn't measure young audiences well. Observers also pointed out that on some nights, Viceland U.K.'s 16 to 34 demo audience was bigger than that of such established channels as MTV, Spike, E! and DMAX. And over its first two weeks, the network's reach continues to outperform that of A+E Networks' free-to-air channel Blaze, which launched in Britain the same day as Viceland. Plus, as part of the multiplatform marketing push around the U.K. channel launch, nearly 3 million people in Britain have watched four full episodes of Viceland content across platforms, according to another data point. Harrington also had some positives to discuss. "From a content perspective, the outlook is rosier, with the quality of the original programming -- and the prospect of more of it -- mirroring Vice's domination of video in its youthful, curious space of the internet," he wrote. "American programming like Black Market and the Ellen Page-hosted, Emmy-nominated Gaycation are simply, in their scope and bravery, unlike anything currently on the U.K. linear schedule. And the British content, starting off with the hypnotically absorbing The UK Census suggests that the in-house production unit at Vice HQ in Shoreditch are able to make long-form content." Harrington's conclusion: "Early viewing figures suggest that thoughtful content does not guarantee an audience. And there is little to suggest that Vice, despite a reputation for being able to reach the most sought after demographic, the 16-34s, has little by way of an edge over any of the more established television operators." When first U.S. ratings came in for A+E upstart Viceland, the news was also mixed. Total viewership was down from the highs of retired predecessor H2. Premiere telecasts, however, were faring better. Plus, the average age of the Viceland audience was 17 years younger than that of H2 in the early going, with the median viewer age down to 40. Premiere episode audiences of roughly 100,000 viewers aged 18 to 49 put Viceland programming between softer first-run cable fare like Showtime's Dice and IFC's late Maron in terms of early linear appeal.
