The Good Doctor Season 2 First Look Promises Dr. Shaun Murphy Will Provide "Hope." It's almost time for your appointment with The Good Doctor. E! News has your exclusive sneak peek at the new season two promo for ABC's The Good Doctor. In the video, get reacquainted (or meet for the first time) with Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), one of the newest doctors at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. "Shaun has a uniquely gifted mind," Richard Schiff's Dr. Aaron Glassman says in the video's voiceover. "He faces challenges none of us could ever imagine." Shaun Murphy has autism and savant syndrome, which make him a stellar surgeon, however, there are difficulties he faces, as Dr. Glassman says, that other doctors do not. "Like every one of us he's made mistakes... Shaun gives people hope. Including me," he says. The season ended with Dr. Glassman revealing his inoperable glioma (a type of tumor), with just months to live. "David [Shore, executive producer] has some really wonderful things in store," executive producer Daniel Dae Kim previously told E! News about season two. "Some really nice character turns. Freddie's journey -- Shaun's journey -- is going to have a couple of twists and turns that I find incredibly compelling..." "I'm hoping to continue to explore these themes and these issues and throwing Dr. Murphy into more situations where he's challenged and where he has a unique insight," Shore previously said about the new season. "Because I think the show superficially is about Dr. Murphy learning how to navigate the world, but I think on a deeper level, the show is much more of what Dr. Murphy has to teach us." The medical drama was the No. 1 new broadcast drama of the 2017-2018 season, averaging 16.7 million viewers for the year. The Good Doctor returns Monday, Sept. 24 on ABC. (Eonline)

Wynonna Earp Wears Amazing Pajamas in Sneak Peek Pics From First Ever Christmas Episode. Listen, over the years we have fallen in love with many a pair of pajamas. It's hard to find a comfy robe or a pair of soft pants we don't want to own, but we may have found our new dream sleep attire thanks to Wynonna Earp. The SYFY series airs its first ever Christmas episode this Friday, August 24, and in these first look pics exclusive to E! News, you can very clearly see that Wynonna's (Melanie Scrofano) coffee cup-patterned onesie is incredible. You can also assume from these pics that Christmas at the Earp household might actually be really nice this year, thanks to the fact that Mama Earp (Megan Follows) is back to celebrate with her daughters and to fill them in a bit more on Waverly's (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) father and backstory. Obviously, everything is not going to go to plan, and you can probably prepare for a pretty big Christmastime shock before the night is over. Doesn't Wynonna just look so cozy? And doesn't her outfit almost make you not notice that the tree appears to be decorated with scarves and perhaps also a sock? While Doc (Tim Rozon) doesn't get to wear fun PJs, he does get his very own festive photo and the job of cutting down the family tree. While you're here and waiting for Friday, you might as well also rewatch the cast of Wynonna Earp play Truth or Dare at Comic-Con and ponder who you side with in Teagate 2018. Wynonna Earp airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on SYFY. (Eonline)

Bristol Palin's Ex Levi Johnston and Wife Sunny to Appear on Teen Mom OG. Bristol Palin's ex Levi Johnston will also be appearing on Teen Mom OG this season, according to his wife Sunny Johnston. Last month, it was revealed that the daughter of Sarah Palin would be joining the upcoming season of the MTV show. Bristol confirmed the news on Instagram in July, telling her social media followers, "I am excited to join MTV's 'Teen Mom OG.' I look forward to sharing my experiences and hope that I can help others on their journey." On Saturday, Sunny responded to questions about Teen Mom during a Q&A on her Instagram Story, including one question asking if she and Levi would appear on the show, which she replied "yes." But, to clarify, Sunny won't be a new cast member on the show. "Nope!" Sunny replied when asked about becoming a cast member. "Never been a teen mom. Hubby was a teen dad though." Bristol and Levi welcomed their son, Tripp Johnston-Palin, when they were both teens. Back in May, Bristol reflected on becoming a teen mom 10 years ago in an Instagram post. "10 years ago this week - my life took the biggest possible turn," Bristol began. "I was 17 and a junior in high school... it took hearing your heartbeat for a positive pregnancy test to really mean anything to me... and took holding you in my arms to realize my life was going to be changed forever." "I am so thankful for God's plan over our life, and His grace that has covered us entirely... my kids truly are my biggest blessing," Bristol wrote, adding a heart emoji and the hashtag #purpose to the Instagram post. Earlier this month, Bristol revealed she's "freshly divorced" from Dakota Meyer. Palin and Meyer have two children together, they welcomed a daughter, Sailor Grace Meyer, in Dec. 2015. Two years later, they welcomed their second child together, a girl named Atlee Bay Meyer in May 2017. (Eonline)

'Downton Abbey' Star Among Cast for Gurinder Chadha's ITV Drama 'Beecham House'. Lesley Nicol and Tom Bateman have been cast in the six-part epic, set in Delhi on the cusp of the 19th century. The ensemble cast for Gurinder Chadha's upcoming six-part period epic Beecham House has been unveiled. Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair, Jekyll and Hyde) and Lesley Nicol (known for playing cook Beryl Patmore in Downton Abbey) will star in the ITV series, which starts shooting this month in India and Ealing Studios, alongside Gregory Fitoussi, Adil Ray, Marc Warren, Pallavi Sharda, Dakota Blue Richards, Leo Suter and Bessie Carter. Set on the cusp of the 19th century in Delhi before the British ruled in that region, the drama depicts the fortunes of the residents of Beecham House, an imposing mansion surrounded by acres of exotic woods and pristine lawns. Co-created by Chadha (Viceroy's House, Bend it Like Beckham) and Shahrukh Husain (In Custody), Beecham House was written by Chadha, Paul Mayeda Berges, Victor Levin and Husain. Caroline Levy produces, with Chadha directing episodes one to three and Peter Lydon directing episodes four to six. Acclaimed writer and international renowned expert on this period in India, William Dalrymple, and Husain are historical consultants for the series. It was commissioned for ITV by head of drama Polly Hill. "Beecham House is a passion project that is driven by my commitment to telling diverse, emotionally engaging stories for mainstream international audiences," said Chadha. "I am thrilled to be working with Polly Hill and ITV Drama who share my belief that period drama can be entertaining, ambitious and relevant to key issues of today. I am assembling a vibrant cast of British and Indian actors to play original characters that will appeal to global audiences hungry to see stories from a unique point of view. I grew up with Raj dramas like Jewel in the Crown, The Far Pavilions and A Passage To India. Beecham House is my chance to tell those stories from a British Asian perspective." FremantleMedia International will act as the global distributor for the series. (Hollywood Reporter)

Hulu Reteams With U.K.'s Channel 4, Jack Thorne for 'National Treasure' Trilogy Closer 'The Light'. The four-part drama with examine the repercussions of a catastrophic disaster in a small town. British broadcaster Channel 4 and Hulu are once against working with Jack Thorne the prolific writer of both National Treasure and National Treasure: Kiri (which was released as Kiri in the U.K.) on the four-part follow-up The Light (working title). Produced by All3Media's The Forge, the series will look at disability and focus on the repercussions of a catastrophic disaster that befalls a community in a small Welsh town which has seen more prosperous times. Like National Treasure and Kiri, it will explore how the media spotlight in the wake of such a disaster can affect a community. "We are delighted to be working once more with the immensely talented Jack Thorne," said Channel 4's head of drama Beth Willis. "Jack has a singular ability to explore some of the most complex and challenging topics facing modern Britain today with warmth and empathy, and also with sharp insight and fearless scrutiny. The Light promises to be another powerful examination of guilt, blame, responsibility and culpability." Added Thorne: "I cannot believe Channel 4 has afforded us this opportunity. At the beginning of National Treasure we started talking about the possibilities of a trilogy which peeked behind the curtains of this country and tried to ask difficult questions about who we are and how the media paints us. I am so delighted we are going to get to finish that trilogy off." The Light was commissioned for Channel 4 by Willis. Jonny Richards and Chloe Tucker will be commissioning executives. Shooting is expected to begin in 2019, with the series airing later that year on Channel 4. The Light will also premiere exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu. All3media International will handle global sales. (Hollywood Reporter)
