Kristen Bell Recalls The "Beautiful: Moment Her Daughter Offered to Bury Her Grandfather. Kids really do say the darnedest things. During her visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, Kristen Bell revealed the "beautiful" and hilarious way her daughter wanted to say goodbye to her grandfather after he passed away. After explaining that her little one had adapted a "practical sense about the world" due to her and husband Dax Shepard's honest approach towards parenting, she shared that her daughter expressed interest in helping to bury him. "Their grandfather was dying -- and he's already passed, but while he was dying, my little girl was in the back and said, 'So when papa dies... Are we gonna come to Oregon with you?'" The Good Place star, who is mom to Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 5, told host Seth Meyers. "And I was like, 'Yeah, you'll come.' And she was like, 'Okay. Do I need to bring my shovel? Because I have a garden set.' And I said, 'Why would you pack your shovel, honey?' She goes, 'Well, I want to help bury him. Where do we do it? The side of the house? Or... ' Like, so practical and wanted to help." "And then I had to explain to her that we, you know, we don't bury him on the side of the house because it's not legal," Kristen continued. "But she genuinely wanted to, like, bury her grandfather and I thought there's something oddly beautiful about that. She's a younger member of the family contributing to an older member's peaceful passing on." She joked, "Some people could say she's a sociopath, but I'm not going down that route." Catch the series finale of The Good Place on Thursday, Jan 31 on NBC. (Eonline)

Lucy Hale Recalls Being "Deathly Afraid" of Being Single. Lucy Hale has come a long way since her Pretty Little Liars days. The actress is the cover star of Cosmopolitan's March 2020 issue, and in her interview, she defied the public perception that she's the stereotypical girl-next-door type, even if those are the characters she plays. The 30-year-old star played high schooler Aria Montgomery in Freeform's PLL and will be playing an optimistic, happy-go-lucky 20-something in the upcoming Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene. But the Hale we see on screen is far from Hale IRL. Now that her 20s are officially behind her, the star shared with the outlet the things she's happy to have evolved out of (for example, some of her tattoos, which she's in the process of removing). As she explained, "When I was younger, I was constantly wanting to be with or date someone because I was so deathly afraid of being single or by myself." "Now, I'm at the point where if I meet someone," she continued, "they better really elevate my life, because I love being single." Hale went on to add that she has outgrown her fear of being on her own because of the type of people she was previously attracted to. "I used to be really drawn to, like, damaged people who had been through some sh*t," she shared. "Now, I'm like, You can be nice but not boring. Nice but not a dud." And while she might love being single, she's still human. The Truth Or Dare star revealed that she does, in fact, use dating apps, but the one she's on is so exclusive that she couldn't even name it. As it turns out, it touts other famous faces as well. "John Mayer is on there," Hale divulged. "And I pressed yes for him, but I don't think he pressed yes for me." The outlet then noted that Mayer has a complicated dating history. But as Hale responded, "I'm so drawn to musical talent, I don't care." And as for future family plans, the star said she's not looking to become a mother anytime soon. (She noted of her love of her Kyleena IUD for its help on that front.) Her single life has also taught her that the things she thought should be saved for relationships, she can do herself. "Okay, so I've wanted that Cartier Love bracelet for a long time," Hale admitted. "But I was like, Oh, I need to wait for someone to buy it for me. Now, my friends are like, 'No, you buy it yourself.'" You can check out the full interview online now and in the March issue of Cosmopolitan, on newsstands Feb. 11. (Eonline)

Kiernan Shipka Has the Best Response to Fan That Called Her Emma Watson. You've got the wrong witch. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka had a hilarious reaction to a fan mistaking her for Emma Watson. The moment came when the fan commented on Shipka's Instagram post that showed her taking a selfie with a 10/10 dog. "Taking a break from #caos content for DOG CONTENT," the Mad Men alum wrote in the caption. And then, came the snafu. As the fan wrote, "So pretty Emma Watson." Really taking the opportunity to milk this moment, the 20-year-old actress responded, "thank you. I had an amazing time filming Harry Potter & am really thrilled about all the new projects I'm doing now!" Her reply has received over 13,000 likes, and rightfully so. It's a perfect response to the innocent mixup. And in all fairness, with her dark hair, Shipka and Watson do look a bit alike, so this can be added to the long list of celebrity look-alikes. But Shipka very much plays the platinum blonde-haired Sabrina Spellman and not the curly-haired brunette that was Watson's beloved Hermione Granger. Still, they both play/played powerful witches who save the world just about every other day, so the two stars do have a lot in common. Although there will never be a Harry Potter/CAOS crossover (the power that would have), there has already been a celebrity look-alike featured on the spooky Netflix show, which released its third season on Jan. 24. In 2018, 13-year-old actress McKenna Grace played a young Sabrina in the show's holiday special. Grace and Shipka look so much alike, it's hard to believe they're not actually sisters. But Grace has made a career out of playing the younger versions of different actresses. The teen played a young Brie Larson in Captain Marvel, was Margot Robbie's childhood self in I, Tonya, the child version of Theo Crain in The Haunting of Hill House and lots more. Before her cameo on the show, Grace and Shipka blessed the world with a photo twinning photo from an event in January 2018. The two actresses pose like family in the photo, which Shipka captioned, "I found my mini me!!!@mckennagraceful." Put Shipka, Grace and Watson together and you have the makings of one hell of a story of three witchy sisters. This is the content we need, Netflix! (Eonline)

Jessica Simpson Doesn't Think Ex John Mayer Will Be "Shocked" My Her Memoir. While Jessica Simpson did not tell John Mayer in advance that she would be discussing their past relationship in a memoir, she does not think he will be shocked by what she said. The 39-year-old singer and fashion designer and the 42-year-old musician's on-again, off-again romance finally ended for good in 2007 after almost a year. n Open Book, Simpson says Mayer repeatedly told her "he was obsessed with me, sexually and emotionally." She also details her past drinking problem and says she was constantly worried she "wasn't smart enough" for him, adding, "My anxiety would spike and I would pour another drink. It was the start of me relying on alcohol to mask my nerves." "I don't think he'll be shocked [by the book]," Simpson told the New York Times in an interview posted on Wednesday. "He knows these stories." When asked how she would react if Mayer tries to use this spotlight to his advantage, she told the newspaper, "I don't care." Mayer has not commented on her memoir. When asked how she would react if Mayer tries to use this spotlight to his advantage, she told the newspaper, "I don't care." Mayer has not commented on her memoir. Simpson also says in the book that she was "floored" by his racy comments about her in a 2010 Playboy interview, in which he said she was like "crack cocaine" to him, adding, "Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm." Two years later, Mayer expressed regret about his remarks. Simpson writes in her book that her therapist suggested that Mayer probably never loved her and was just obsessed with her. "Ooh, that broke me in half!" she said of the realization, according to the New York Times. "And that's years into being married and having kids. And it was like, 'Wow. I did this all for obsession? This was his way of loving me?' I think that it just never clicked until it was just blatantly said to me: That's not love." Open Book hits stores on Tuesday, February 4. (Eonline)

Shaun Weiss -- best known for playing Goldberg in "The Mighty Ducks" films -- has reached the point of grave concern ... and desperately needs help before it's too late. Sources close to the troubled 41-year-old actor tell TMZ ... he's currently living on the street and dealing with several life-threatening problems, including diabetes, mental illness and drug addiction. We're told friends of Shaun's have been trying to get him into various rehab facilities for years now, but it's been difficult due to long wait lists ... along with his inability to stay out of trouble. It's sad stuff for sure, and our sources say even his own sister has been unable to help. We're told she agreed to take Shaun in at her Northern California home a few weeks ago but kicked him out a few days ago due to his behavior. He was arrested for residential burglary and being under the influence of methamphetamine shortly afterward. As we've reported ... Weiss posed for another shockingly sad mug shot back in August 2018 when he was arrested for public intoxication, but his downward spiral started about a year before that with arrests for petty theft and meth. Anyone willing to offer assistance with Shaun's situation is asked to reach out to Drew Gallagher at drewmichaelg@icloud.com. (TMZ)

The woman Soulja Boy describes as a bitter ex-GF is suing him over the alleged kidnapping and assault case that led to him doing time last year. Kayla Myers says she was partying with Soulja and co. at his Malibu home on Feb. 1, 2019 when she decided to leave at 2 AM. She admits her exit didn't go smoothly -- as she backed out, her car went off the driveway ... which pissed off one of Soulja's female assistants and sparked an argument between Kayla and the woman. In her lawsuit, Kayla claims she was knocked to the ground, and then Soulja came over to kick her in the stomach and bash her in the head "with a large gun" -- and then told her she was going to die as he held the gun to her head. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, she claims Soulja directed the assistant to drag Kayla to the garage, tie her up with duct tape and give her a shower. That sounds bizarre, but Kayla claims he wanted to clean her up from the ass-kicking she'd just suffered in the dirt outside the house. Later, Kayla claims she was being held captive -- tied up with an extension cord -- in the garage when a male assistant offered to release her if she performed oral sex. In the suit, she says she felt she had no choice and did it. After that she was released at 8 AM ... she says with one final indignity -- Soulja allegedly said, "Now get this bitch outta here before I knock her down the stairs." Kayla claims she suffered 3 fractured ribs and a bruised face. As we reported, she reported all of this to police, who conducted a raid at Soulja's house, where they found guns ... a probation violation. As you know, Soulja ended up doing time in L.A. County jail last summer. She's suing Soulja for assault, battery and false imprisonment. She's also going after the male assistant for sexual battery. (TMZ)
