Meghan Markle Makes Surprise Visit at Women's Center in Vancouver. Rain or shine, Meghan Markle's philanthropic efforts continue on. The Duchess of Sussex ditched the royal family's ongoing drama to spend time with several women focused on effecting positive change in the Vancouver community. After paparazzi spotted the Duchess of Sussex boarding a seaplane on Tuesday, Meghan paid a surprise visit to the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre. According to the organization, which provides counseling, meals and other services to women and children in need, Meghan stopped by to enjoy tea and discuss issues currently impacting the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre's patrons. She dressed casually for the impromptu engagement in a cream cableknit sweater, dark pants and brown knee-high boots. Since returning to Canada just days after she and Prince Harry announced their intentions to step down as senior members of the royal family, Meghan has maintained a low-profile while tending to their son Archie Harrison. "She mostly stays home but ventures out around mid-day just to get out," a source recently told E! News. Meghan was spotted driving around town by herself in a Range Rover, though our insider noted the presence of a security team following close behind. Prince Harry is expected to reunite with Meghan and Archie after attending a previously scheduled event in London on Thursday. The Duke is set to host the Rugby League World Cup 2021 draw at Buckingham Palace. Just yesterday, Queen Elizabeth II gave Harry and Meghan her blessing to split their time between the U.K. and Canada. After holding an emergency meeting with Prince Harry, Prince William and Prince Charles, Her Majesty released the following statement: "Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family," the Queen shared. "My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family." The Queen said final decisions regarding Prince Harry and Meghan's desire to become financially independent would be made in the coming days. (Eonline)

Duchess Meghan's Father Thomas Markle Set to Testify Against Her in Court Case: Reports. Father vs. daughter? Thomas Markle is set to offer evidence against Duchess Meghan, his daughter, in her legal battle against the publisher of the Mail on Sunday, according to reports. Markle, 75, is expected to be called as a key witness for the defense and has given lawyers previously unreleased text messages he exchanged with Meghan, 38, before her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, January 14. Documents filed in defense papers at the High Court in London on Monday, January 13, describe some of the text message exchanges, including one in which the sender, purportedly Harry, 35, accused the retired lighting designer of causing hurt to Meghan after Markle messaged her to say he couldn't attend the couple's wedding because of his emergency heart surgery, per the outlet. "I've done nothing to hurt you Meghan or anyone else," Markle wrote back, according to The Sun. Meghan and her father have been estranged since was involved in a paparazzi photo scandal days before her wedding. He has subsequently spoken out about his daughter and criticized the British royal family in several interviews. The court documents also allege that Meghan schemed to use friends to pressure journalists into dropping stories about her, Meghan sued the publisher in October over the Mail on Sunday's decision to print a "private and confidential" letter she wrote to her father, which was penned at a "time of great personal anguish and distress." According to her lawyers, the letter included "her intimate thoughts and feelings about her father's health and her relationship with him at that time" and the newspaper "chose to deliberately omit or suppress" pertinent sections of the letter. As a result, the Suits alum is seeking damages for "alleged misuse of private information, copyright infringement and breach of the Data Protection Act." The publisher has denied the allegations. The news of Markle's involvement in the trial comes nearly a week after Meghan and Harry announced their decision to "step back" as senior members of the royal family. At the time, Markle exclusively told Us Weekly he was "disappointed" in the couple's choice. (UsMagazine)

Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters' Wedding Registry Is All About Giving Back. Wedding bells are ringing in Tim Tebow's house! The countdown is officially on for the football and baseball pro to say "I Do" to Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. But before vows are exchanged and the duo is pronounced husband and wife, it's time to build a wedding registry. The couple used The Knot Registry for family, friends and wedding guests hoping to celebrate the pair. And while there are some household items from familiar companies like Anthropologie and Williams-Sonoma, giving back takes center stage. "Tim and I really wanted to use a registry platform that allowed us to add anything and everything for our new home along with the opportunity for our wedding guests to contribute to a charitable organization close to our hearts. The Knot Registry helped us seamlessly create and manage all of our registries -- from cash funds and experiences to retail products and charities -- in one place," Demi-Leigh shared with E! News exclusively. "It's made it so easy for our guests to find and purchase the exact gifts we want. We have been able to add some wonderful home staples for whipping up South African cuisine and new keto recipes, and also include an option for our guests to donate to the Tim Tebow Foundation." One gift pick that stands out is the Charity Fund via The Knot Registry. The gift pick gives well-wishers the opportunity to give back to a very important organization. "[The Tim Tebow Foundation] is a cause that has been such a big part of Tim's life (and now mine!) for years, and we'd love nothing more than to support those in need during this special and momentous time for us," Demi-Leigh shared. Besides, the foundation brought this special couple together. Tim first met Demi-Leigh when her late baby sister Franje Peters got invited to The Tim Tebow Foundation's yearly prom titled Night to Shine in 2018. The annual event, which is held in more than 750 locations in more than 34 countries, is an unforgettable prom for people with special needs. "The Knot Registry made it so easy to seamlessly integrate our charity fund for the foundation into our wedding registry," Demi-Leigh shared with us. Now that's worth toasting to. Congratulations you two! (Eonline)

Some of the greatest tennis players EVER -- from Serena Williams to Roger Federer -- hit the court Wednesday ... and it was all to help raise nearly $5 MILLION for Australia fire relief! With the Australian Open set to kick off next week ... legends like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic joined Serena and Federer at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne to get some pickup games in for charity. The event was great ... the superstars hammed it up for the crowd, got in a little tennis action and, most importantly, raised roughly $4.8 mil to help victims of the raging wildfires. As we previously reported, more than 2,500 homes have been destroyed since the blazes began ... with the fire killing at least 28 people. The tennis world has been super active when it comes to helping relief efforts ... with stars like Nick Kyrgios famously pledging $200 per ace to the cause this season. As for the Australian Open event, it's still going down as scheduled for now ... although players have already expressed concern over the poor air quality. "I think there has to be some kind of line in the sand, you know, some kind of rule where you measure the air," Genie Bouchard told Gizmodo this week ... "And if it's over a certain number, or however they measure it, then you just don't play." The Open matches are set to begin in Australia on Monday. (TMZ)

No, Britney Spears' Art Is Not Getting Its Own Exhibit in France. Sorry, you won't be seeing Britney Spears' breathtaking work of art at the Louvre -- or any museum or gallery -- anytime soon. Last week, Artsy reported that a gallery in southwestern France was claiming that it would give the pop music icon and artiste her first solo exhibition. Of course, fans went wild. A deep dive into the 38-year-old singer's Instagram and one will run into videos of the "Oops... I Did It Again" singer showing off her painting skills. So, it was only a matter time until the "Womanizer" singer got her first solo show, right? On Jan. 6, the French gallery took to Instagram to announce that they were "thrilled" to have Spears showcasing her "contemporary art" later this month. But, it turns out that it was all a hoax. A rep for the singer has confirmed with E! News that word of an upcoming solo exhibition in France is "inaccurate and she is not involved." According to Galerie Sympa, the alleged exhibit of Spears' art was scheduled to open January 18 and run "Till the world ends," according to the gallery's website. The gallery also states on their website that the show would be titled, "Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!," which seems to be the same caption Spears used in a 2017 Instagram post where she shared a video of herself painting. Well, there you have it. Maybe one day we'll get to see Spears' artwork at the Museum of Modern Art or somethin'. (Eonline)

Bruce Springsteen's Youngest Son Sam Sworn in as a New Jersey Firefighter. Sam Springsteen graduated from the Monmouth County Fire Academy in 2014. Bruce Springsteen's son Sam is now officially a member of Jersey City's bravest! Sam, 26, was one of 15 sworn in by the mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey at city hall to the Jersey City Fire Department on Tuesday, CNN reported. Sam added to the outlet that his training definitely wasn't easy, CBS New York reported. The new class of firefighters brings the department's total to 666 firefighters, Mayor Steven Fulop said in a statement, a historic high. "CONGRATULATIONS ??" Scialfa wrote on Instagram at the time. "... You followed your dreams... JC firefighter .. ??Stay safe ??.. ??love your brave heart??." Alicia Silverstone Tells Son, 81/2, 'No Thank You' as a Form of 'Reprimanding': 'I Respect Him'. "If he starts to cry, I listen. If he's upset about something, I stop and I talk to him about it," Alicia Silverstone tells PEOPLE of son Bear, 81/2. Alicia Silverstone has found a parenting technique that works for her in correcting her son's behavior. In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE surrounding her partnership with Crystal deodorant, the 43-year-old actress reveals that she and her son Bear Blu, 81/2, have a mutual "respect" that stems from how they interact. "Because of the healthy lifestyle that we lead, he didn't go through terrible twos and terrible threes. There wasn't really much of that," Silverstone says. "When you're really meeting their needs, and you really understand what they want and need ... I didn't find any of that." "There [have been] moments where there were things we had to redirect and correct, of course, but it just wasn't the fight that you hear about. ... The most I have to say is, 'No thank you, Bear,'" she continues. "And he goes, 'Okay.' ... That's my reprimanding." "And he's got it. Because he respects me and I respect him," Silverstone adds. The Clueless actress shares that her son "reminds [her] to be absolutely present, because I don't want to miss a moment of him, and I don't want him to feel like anything is more important than him," during these times where "he has the balance of knowing that Mommy has to work, and life is not revolving around him." "It's not some kind of spoiled thing. It's just that when you love someone, you want to take them in and soak them in. And many of us didn't get that," Silverstone tells PEOPLE. "If he starts to cry, I listen. If he's upset about something, I stop and I talk to him about it. You'd be surprised [at] how much [you notice] that other people don't." Ever since the actress and her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki welcomed Bear in May 2012, the little boy has taught his mama to "be right there in the moment." "I had so much going on in my world and in my emotions, and when he was born it was like the whole world stopped. Everything froze, and it was just absolute bliss being with him and breastfeeding, being connected to him. Just taking care of him was just such a pleasure," Silverstone says. "That's remained the same all along." The star's dedication to kindness and being present seems to have rubbed off on her son, who sweetly "asked Santa for $1,000 to donate to an animal charity" this past Christmas -- as well as for "some vegan chicken nuggets." Of her latest partnership, Silverstone couldn't have found a better fit, telling PEOPLE, "So many major brands are still testing on animals, which is awful. I was so thrilled 20 years ago when I discovered Crystal, and I don't know how I did, but I did. And it's free of all those toxic ingredients." "It's cruelty-free, they're formulated with no parabens, aluminum, silicone -- all the nasty stuff that you'd get in traditional deodorant," she adds. "And last year they were tested by the Clean Label Project for over 150 contaminants, and they received the purity award for their entire line." "I'm always talking about Crystal," the American Woman actress continues. "It was just a really natural fit that we decided to partner together, and work on things together in a more aligned way. But I have been there, I have been their silent little ambassador for 20 years because I love their products. I give it away for people as Christmas gifts." (People)

Jenelle Evans is back spending time with her estranged husband David Eason -- almost immediately after dropping a restraining order -- but there's no romance ... TMZ has learned. We got this pic of the ex-'Teen Mom' stars walking side-by-side Tuesday in Nashville ... along with their daughter, Ensley, who was holding mom's hand -- and is the crucial part of the picture. As we reported ... the exes had a court hearing for the restraining order, but it was dismissed at Jenelle's request. Sources close to Jenelle tell TMZ ... the reason for her change in tune is because she wants Ensley to be able to see her dad. We're told she's also very tired of going to court. Still, the sight of the 3 of them back together -- having some family fun in Music City -- is pretty surprising. Remember, Jenelle said, "I am scared for my life and my children's well-being," when she got the temporary restraining order in November ... days after filing for divorce. Our sources say David and Jenelle's reunion is definitely not a sign they've reconciled their marriage -- the divorce is still happening. However, we're told Jenelle wants to co-parent with David -- like she does with her other ex, Nathan Griffith -- and hopes they can remain civil. As you'll recall ... major issues started between them early in 2019, after David killed the family dog for nipping at Ensley. There was an investigation and Eason was never charged -- but clearly the incident impacted their family -- temporarily losing custody of their kids -- and their relationship. (TMZ)

Alex Cora is OUT as the Boston Red Sox manager ... after both sides "mutually agreed to part ways" in light of the MLB's cheating probe. The league's investigation findings determined Cora was the mastermind behind the Houston Astros' sign-stealing system when he was the bench coach in 2017. Cora was with the 'Stros when they won the World Series in 2017 ... and the manager of the Red Sox when they won the Fall Classic in 2018. The 44-year-old manager had yet to receive his punishment from the league for the scandal ... but given the fact Astros manager, A.J. Hinch, was suspended 1 year just for knowing about it, it was assumed Cora would get much worse. The Sox didn't wait to find out Cora's fate ... releasing a statement Tuesday explaining their decision to move on. "Today we met to discuss the Commissioner's report related to the Houston Astros investigation," the statement reads. "Given the findings and the Commissioner's ruling, we collectively decided that it would not be possible for Alex to effectively lead the club going forward and we mutually agreed to part ways." Red Sox honchos John Henry, Tom Werner and Sam Kennedy released a joint statement ... saying, "This is a sad day for us. Alex is a special person and a beloved member of the Red Sox. We are grateful for his impact on our franchise." "We will miss his passion, his energy and his significant contributions to the communities of New England and Puerto Rico." As for Cora ... he thanked the team for his opportunity and said he didn't want to be a distraction moving forward. "My two years as manager were the best years of my life. It was an honor to manage these teams and help bring a World Series Championship back to Boston." "I will forever be indebted to the organization and the fans who supported me as a player, a manager and in my efforts to help Puerto Rico. This is a special place. There is nothing like it in all of baseball, and I will miss it dearly." (TMZ)
