"[It was] my dad's first Met Gala," she added, joking that she felt "cool" because she attended the exclusive fashion ball before her father. Holmes, 40, and Foxx, 51, finally made their official debut as a couple at the event, where they posed for photos together inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They didn't walk the carpet. Sarah Jessica Parker Epically Shuts Down a "Disgraceful" Report About Her Marriage to Matthew Broderick. Sarah Jessica Parker couldn't help but wonder, why do tabloids spin tales? The Sex and the City alum called out The National Enquirer after the publication claimed she and husband Matthew Broderick" were caught on camera in a public screaming match." The outlet requested a comment on the alleged story -- which also suggests they argue over his new London theater gig -- and Parker followed through with a big one on Instagram. "Over a decade of the same untrue, disgraceful nonsense," the mom of three captioned a shot of the Enquirer's email. "As usual, days ahead of our anniversary on May 19th, The National Enquirer is making its annual best effort to fabricate and undermine, this time a blissful 4 days with my husband in London. There was no 'screaming match' as alleged in a restaurant or on the street, nor was there a confrontation as alleged about his time in London. My children and I are enormously proud of the work he is doing." "After much thought I have decided to share a typical letter of 'inquiry' from these people," the actress continued. "As if the truth, a response or any comments from me or my publicist had any bearing on what they threaten to 'report.' Hey National Enquirer and your sister publications, why not celebrate a marriage of 22 years and relationship of 27 years? Because, despite your endless harassment and wasted ink, we are nearing 3 decades of love, commitment, respect, family and home. There's your 'scoop' From a 'reliable source.' @tabloid harassment." Parker's friends -- including Andy Cohen, Gwyneth Paltrow,Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Megan Mullaly and Jessica Alba -- were quick to applaud her candor. "YOU GO SJ!!!!!!!!" wrote good pal Cohen. "AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO A BEAUTIFUL LOVING COUPLE!!" Chimed in Alba, "Amen." The duo first began dating in early 1992 and exchanged vows five years later, on May 19, 1997, in front of 100 surprised guests, none of which knew they would be attending a wedding that day. "I love Matthew Broderick," Parker gushed to Harper's Bazaar in 2013. "Call me crazy, but I love him. We can only be in the marriage we are. We're very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he's the father of my children, and it's because of him that there's this whole other world that I love." Happy (early) anniversary and to many more! (Eonline)

Kelly Ripa Not Backing Down from Bachelor Criticism After Chris Harrison, Mike Fleiss Slam Her. "If anything, her success in syndication and promotion of these shows pays their salaries," a source close to Kelly Ripa's show tells PEOPLE. If reality TV heavyweights Mike Fleiss and Chris Harrison thought criticizing Kelly Ripa was going to get her to back down on her opinions about The Bachelorette, they seem to have picked the wrong woman. On Tuesday's episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ripa, 48, said of the reality dating series, "Guys, you know how I feel about this show. It disgusts me." "And I thought that I was disgusted because I couldn't stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion," she continued. "You know how I feel, ladies: We are too special to be arguing over a guy." Both Bachelor host Harrison and creator Fleiss clapped back on Twitter, with Harrison writing, "Look out #BachelorNation ?@KellyRipa? is coming after you and your 'disgusting' Monday night habit." Fleiss chimed in with, "Easy, @KellyRipa ... #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!" Before current Bachelorette Hannah Brown appeared on the daytime talk show Thursday, a source close to Live with Kelly and Ryan told PEOPLE that Fleiss and Harrison should maybe think before they critique. "It seems the fear of rejection runs deep over there. Do these guys really want to bring attention to the fact that people should stop and look more closely at the completely outdated misogynistic nature of this show and its offensive premise of demeaning its participants?" the insider asked. According to the source, "They can't handle lighthearted criticism from a successful woman who has been on TV longer than their contestants have been alive," adding, "Kelly's time at Live predates these shows by years, so if anything her success in syndication and promotion of these shows pays their salaries." The source went on to point out, "Kelly has always slammed Bachelor/Bachelorette in the past with way worse comments, so why engage her now? Because they must be getting desperate." Ripa had not publicly commented on the responses from Harrison, 47, and Fleiss, 55, before Brown's appearance on her show Thursday, when she opened up the interview by poking fun at the whole situation. "Hannah, I'm not sure what they told you backstage ... if you blink twice, I will get you out of here," the host joked before Brown, 24, laughed and said she was happy to be there. (People)

Ellen Pompeo Defends Kelly Ripa After Mike Fleiss Says 'The Bachelor' Pays Her Salary: 'We Don't Attack Successful Women on Our Network.' Don't mess with the women of ABC! Ellen Pompeo clapped back at Mike Fleiss amid his drama with Kelly Ripa over The Bachelor. "Okay @fleissmeister ... that's some handle bro! Your show does NOT pay @KellyRipa salary," the Grey's Anatomy star, 49, tweeted on Thursday, May 16. "Also we don't attack successful women on our network and men certainly cannot take credit for their success." Pompeo added: "Don't get me started on your show cuz I'm a savage ... #bachelorsoooowhite." The Live With Kelly and Ryan host, 48, made headlines on Tuesday, May 14, when she called The Bachelor, which has aired on ABC since its 2002 debut, disgusting. "I can't stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion," Ripa told cohost Ryan Seacrest on their ABC talkshow. "You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy." Fleiss, who created the dating series, fired back at Ripa's remarks, tweeting, "Easy, @KellyRipa ... #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!" The reality TV producer's words struck a cord with Pompeo, who has starred on the network's hit drama Grey's Anatomy since 2005. She sent another tweet on Thursday after a fan asked the actress for clarification on what happened. "Took a break but had to jump back in the ring for my girl @KellyRipa," she wrote. After Bachelor host Chris Harrison and former leads Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Colton Underwood also came to the show's defense, current Bachelorette Hannah Brown joined Ripa and Seacrest for Thursday's episode of Live to address the controversy. "I am very against women fighting over a guy. I don't believe in it. I think it's -- you know, weird and sets us back. But now, you are in the power position," the All My Children alum told Brown, who competed for Underwood's heart on season 23 of The Bachelor earlier this year. "So, take me through that. How does that work?" The former pageant queen then explained that the series is not about "women fighting against each other." "Really, some of my best friends came from the show, and were really supportive," Brown told Ripa. "When you have a group of 30 people together, there's going to be people who don't like each other. That's just simple facts. It was one of the most empowering things that I ever did because I had to grow as an individual. That is why I decided that I wanted to be the Bachelorette. That's why I wanted that so bad." Seacrest, for his part, shifted the conversation back to Brown's current season of the show, which premiered on Monday, May 13. (UsMagazine)

TMZ's obtained police body cam footage showing where the son of "Chrisley Knows Best" star Todd Chrisley allegedly hid a pouch of meth when cops busted him earlier this month. In the video, you can see cops in Oklahoma take the lid of a cup and pull out the meth. It appears as if Kyle Chrisley stashed the drug there. Kyle had been pulled over for a broken headlight. That obviously turned out to be the least of his troubles. We broke the story ... Kyle was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. He was also held on an open warrant for his arrest out of Dekalb County, GA ... where he was wanted for threatening to kill his estranged wife, Alexus Chrisley. There were 2 other passengers with Kyle when cops stopped him ... a woman who can be heard talking to cops in the first part of the video and an older man who was also arrested for possession of weed. You can see him in the latter part of the video ... when cops hauled him and Kyle into jail. Kyle has had a rocky relationship with his pops, and only appeared in one season of the hit USA reality show. He's due back in court later this month. (TMZ)

Tom Petty's daughters sue his widow for $5M. Tom Petty's daughters filed suit against his widow on Wednesday, as a struggle continues for control of the late singer-songwriter's catalog. Adria Petty and Annakim Violette allege that their father's wife, Dana York Petty, has deprived them of their rightful role in determining how Petty's works are released. The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks at least $5 million in damages. Petty died in October 2017 of an accidental drug overdose, leaving his widow as the trustee of his trust. The terms of the trust entitle the daughters to "equal participation" in decisions about how Petty's catalog is exploited. The daughters have interpreted that to mean that they get two votes out of three, giving them majority control. Dana Petty filed a petition in probate court in April, seeking to put Petty's catalog in the hands of a professional manager. She argued that Adria Petty had been erratic and abusive and had made it difficult to conduct business in an orderly way. Adria Petty filed a separate probate petition in an effort to claim control of the estate. The new lawsuit, filed by attorney Alex Weingarten, accuses Dana Petty of usurping the estate's assets at the daughters' expense. Adam Streisand, Dana Petty's attorney, issued a statement calling the suit "destructive nonsense." "This misguided and meritless lawsuit sadly demonstrates exactly why Tom Petty designated his wife to be the sole trustee with authority to manage his estate," he said. "Dana will not allow destructive nonsense like this to distract her from protecting her husband's legacy." Since Tom Petty's death, two compilations have been released, "An American Treasure" and "The Best of Everything" -- both of which involved a good deal of conflict between Petty's widow and daughters, over content, release dates, credits and liner notes. In her probate petition, Dana Petty said Adria had interfered with plans to release a third album, "Wildflowers -- All the Rest," which would include outtakes from the original album and coincide with the original's 25th anniversary.
