THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can still lay claim to the Sussex Royal brand across the pond -- despite the "Megxit" -- but here in the U.S. of A, someone's already calling dibs!!! You might've heard the Duke and Duchess of Sussex filed trademark docs in the UK to use the phrase "Sussex Royal" for possible merchandise in the future -- including possible online sales on their recently launched site of the same name. Doesn't look like anyone's fighting 'em for the brand in England, but it ain't gonna be so easy for 'em stateside thanks to a guy named Joel Fogelson ... who's already filed an application to own "Sussex Royal" in America. Now, frankly, this could get complicated for Joel if he was dead set on keeping it because it's their name, after all. However, he tells us he only filed for it on digital platforms because he saw it was available, and simply couldn't believe it. Not so shockingly, Joel's background is in intellectual property -- but he's not looking to hold on to the obviously valuable trademark. He says he'd happily hand it over to the Duke and Duchess if they want it ... for FREE even. He's looking at this as a valuable lesson for Harry and Meghan to pay attention to details, to avoid just a massive oversight. Then again, they've had their hands full lately plotting their now-Queen supported bombshell move. That said, he also tells us IF Meg and Harry don't come knocking ... he'll use "Sussex Royal" to launch a consulting business touting the importance of having a solid business plan. (TMZ)

Canadian taxpayers will reportedly pay Prince Harry and Meghan's huge security bill. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make his taxpayers pick up the mammoth tab for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's round-the-clock protection by a team of Mounties while they live there, a report said Monday. Trudeau has "privately assured" Queen Elizabeth II that Harry, Meghan and baby Archie's safety "will not be jeopardized" in his country, which is part of the British Commonwealth, according to the Evening Standard. The family will be protected by the same specialist team of Royal Canadian Mounted Police that currently guards the governor general, who represents the Queen in Canada, the paper said. Security -- and its huge cost, given the Sussexes' desire to be "financially independent" -- is one of the issues understood to be central to ongoing discussions within the royal household after "constructive discussions" at the historic summit at Sandringham Monday. As a former British Army officer who has served in Afghanistan -- and the current captain general of the Royal Marines -- Harry is deemed a particularly high-level risk following previous death threats. Canadian security will be provided even if the Sussexes continue to get guarded by British royal protection officers from Scotland Yard, the report says. UK police bosses are currently debating with government officials as to whether that protection will continue, the report says. Trudeau, 48, has agreed that his taxpayers will foot the bill -- sparking outrage among some as the costs are expected to soar to more than $1.3 million, the paper says. "I don't think it's reasonable to expect us to pay for everything the way we do for a royal visit," Aaron Wudrick, director of the Canadian Taxpayers' Federation, told the Standard. "If they're going to make Canada a second home, a good step in the right direction would be to pay for at least part of it, and not rely on taxpayers to fund their entire lifestyle." Meghan is already in Canada with baby Archie, returning after just a few days in the UK following their six-week stay over the holidays. (PageSix)

Yung Joc is proudly driving for a new ride share company and tells us it's a fun way to make extra cash, while also teaching kids all about earning an honest buck. In case you missed it ... the "It's Goin Down" rapper went viral this weekend when video surfaced of him behind the wheel of a new ride-hailing app in ATL called Pull Up N Go. Yung Joc tells us he heard about the app from a friend, thought it sounded cool and decided to check another thing off his bucket list by signing up to be a driver. While some passengers assumed Joc had fallen on hard times after recognizing him, he tells us his new side-hustle is actually his way of teaching an important lesson to the next generation. He says he's been working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta for years, and this is another way to show kids they shouldn't be too ashamed or prideful to try a new gig. Besides, Yung Joc says he's got plenty of revenue streams these days ... he's a radio personality in town, appears on "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" and just opened a new club. It's pretty cool ... he even had a customer in his backseat while talking to us about the positive response he's getting from some big celebs. Can't knock the hustle!!! (TMZ)

Dr. Oz is throwing down the gauntlet like we've never seen anyone do before -- daring to challenge shredded Mark Wahlberg to a physical fitness competition!!! The so-called "BreakXit" controversy Dr. Oz started is NOT dying down ... and Monday in NYC he was prepared to go all-out to defend his belief it's time to cancel breakfast. As you know, we got Mark out this weekend and he shot down the good Doc's theory. Turns out, Oz is taking that personally. He told us, he's reached out to Wahlberg for a sit down to come to some agreement about skipping breakfast. And, get this ... he's also down for more than just talk the talk. Oz is challenging Wahlberg to a one-legged push-up contest -- and seems supremely confident he can beat the muscle-bound celeb without breakin' a sweat ... especially if Mark's got a bellyful o' breakfast. Just in case he needs it, Oz is getting some backup from fitness guru Jillian Michaels. We don't know if she's down for the push-up competition, but she told us why Oz's breakfast theory is pretty on point. Fresh off a wave of criticism following her comment about Lizzo's weight ... Jillian says science is never wrong! Maybe, but we're not convinced science is enough for Oz to take down Wahlberg ... physically, at least. (TMZ)

January Jones could have gotten Nick Viall's final rose! The Mad Men actress has confirmed the speculation that she dated the former Bachelor, even saying she "squealed" when he slid into her DMs. Jones, 42, gave the backstory in the Monday, January 13, episode of Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, saying that Viall, 39, reached out after she started "blasting" him on social media and during interviews as she talked about The Bachelor. "Then Nick slid into my DMs, and he's like, 'I'm so sorry that your perception of me is so negative. I'd love to take you out to coffee and see if I can change your mind.' And I squealed! I was like, 'Oh, my God.' ... I was like, 'I hate that guy!'" Eventually, Jones' sister talked her into meeting up with Bachelor No. 21. "My sister's like, 'If you don't go, you will forever regret it.' So I agreed to go on a date with him -- or to drinks or whatever -- and as I met him, I was rounding the corner, and I saw him, and he has this very distinct walk, and I had this instinct to run up to him and wrap my legs around his waist -- you know, like they do? I stopped myself." The Emmy nominee ended up having a "good" time with Viall. "All I did was grill him about the show," she said on the podcast. "We went on a couple dates and then ... yeah." Ultimately, the ABC reality franchise is all the duo "were really talking about," Jones said. "But I got a lot of juicy insights," she added. "When [contestants] come out of the limo and they all have these little schticks or whatever, producers are handing them to them. And then I just felt bad for the people who get, like, the dolphin costume. And there is all kinds of other stuff. But they do share a lot of germs with lots of people." Jones also divulged what she found attractive about Viall. "He was cast as the quote-unquote 'villain,' but he was actually ... he had a bit of a brain, you know? So, there was something else there." Dating rumors flew between Jones and Viall in early 2018 after the reality star liked many of Jones' Instagram posts and the actress revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden that he challenged her to battle him on Lip Sync Battle. Andi Dorfman, who dated Viall during her season of The Bachelorette, gave the pairing her stamp of approval. "If it's true, I say go, Nick!" she exclusively told Us Weekly that January. "I think she's stunning and so talented." (US Weekly)

Larry David went FULL Larry David on a gaggle of thirsty autograph hounds who really need to find a new gig, according to him -- and yet, in the end, he kinda encouraged them. The "Seinfeld" co-creator and star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" was leaving his season 10 premiere Monday night in L.A. ... and before he could get to his car, he was greeted by the John Hancock brigade. One of 'em told Larry he'd been waiting for 7 hours, and that set LD off on a 'Curb'-worthy rant. Larry made it clear he didn't tell them to waste 7 hours ... and ripped the group, saying no celeb likes signing for these guys who follow them for signatures, which they turn around and sell. Simple capitalism? Not according to Larry, who yelled, "This is f***ed!!!" When he asks why they're doing this, one guy responds they're not smart enough for other work. If you thought Larry would appreciate the humor -- wrong! You gotta see his rant, and then ... the plot twist! Immediately after raging on them, Larry took out a marker and signed everything the autograph seekers put in front of him. No doubt, Larry's approach was way angrier than what we saw Quentin Tarantino do last week in a very similar situation -- but the end result was the same. We think the Soup Nazi would be very disappointed in Larry! (TMZ)

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West had front row seats Monday night as Tristan Thompson's team Cleveland Cavaliers unsuccessfully took on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. Kim, 39, shared moments from the night out on her Instagram Story, showing off her eccentric courtside ensemble. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star opted for glittery pointed-toe boots, which she paired with wide-leg snakeskin pants. Kim also wore a black puffer coat and styled her hair in a sleek half-up-half-down look. In a different photo, Kim revealed her view of the players running across the court. The KKW Beauty founder also shared an up-close shot of Thompson (a center/power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers) in action. Kim seemed to be pretty into the sport as fans on Twitter recorded her standing as Thompson, 28, shot a free throw at one point during the game. Photos of Kim at the game show her happily cheering. However, it is not immediately clear if her excitement was in support of Khloe Kardashian's ex-boyfriend or for the Lakers, who bested the Cavs 128 to 99. The mother of four has long been an outspoken critic of Thompson's relationship with her sister, especially after his cheating scandal with Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods, in February. "Kim is the one who is really upset about this," a source told PEOPLE after the incident. "She's livid. She's so angry, and she's 100 percent on Khloe's side. She's there for Khloe, letting her vent and talk about it. They've been in constant contact, and Kim is totally supportive. Guys may come and go, but the bond between the girls is never going away, and they're committed to supporting each other." In September, it appeared as though Kim and Thompson were on better terms after they were spotted at the same restaurant in New York City. The surprising pair ate at Estiatorio Milos, the restaurant confirmed to PEOPLE. A source tells PEOPLE that Kim was having dinner at the Midtown Manhattan restaurant while being filmed for Keeping Up with the Kardashians when Thompson arrived. "Kim at dinner is boring, but Tristan 'showing' up makes things more interesting. It wasn't a coincidence that Tristan showed up," the source says. The pair were joined by Kardashian's close friends La La Anthony, Jonathan Cheban, and Simon Huck. Kim's date night with her husband on Monday comes after the rapper surprised Kim with an over-the-top, yet thoughtful present. On Sunday, Kim showed off a custom necklace Kanye had made out of a sentimental text message he had previously sent Kim. "If you look closely at my necklace, you can see it's from a text Kanye sent me," Kim wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of her wearing the jewelry. "He took an amazing vintage a Cartier gold plaque necklace and had it sketched out," she added. "He's always the most thoughtful when it comes to gifts ?." Along with the photo of the star wearing the necklace, Kim showed the original text message with her husband's words that also featured a photo looking out the window of their Los Angeles home. The "Flashing Light" rapper wrote in the message: "This is your life. Married with four kids. Get people out of jail. Cover of Vogue. Go to church every week with your family. Dreams come true." No one expected the Titans to wreck Lamar Jackson and the Ravens ... that is, no one except Chris Johnson ... and he tells TMZ Sports his old team is about to pull off ANOTHER huge upset!! Mike Vrabel's squad came away with the 28-12 dub over Baltimore in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday (they were 10 point underdogs) ... one week after taking down Tom Brady and the Patriots. CJ2K says the Titans ain't done yet, 'cause he tells us Tennessee is about to take down Patrick Mahomes and co. in the AFC Championship game and punch some tickets to Miami. "Man, listen, the Ravens had a explosive offense as well," CJ tells us. "We went in there and we did what we had to do. We held them to 12 points. so, we gon' do the same thing this week." CJ -- who was so pumped about the win, he made t-shirts -- jokes that he's getting so good with his predictions, he deserves a TV deal!! "I've been right on the head. I've been predicting it every week." We asked Johnson what it's gonna take to stop an offense that just put up 51 points on the Texans ... and he says the Titans just gotta stick to the script. "Man, we going to go in there and do our thing again. we gon' play good defense, we gon' run the ball and this week, we gon' get some receivers (to) step up and make some plays." "We gon' get this game plan together. get it right. we go do what we gotta do." Hey, he was right the first 2 times ... (TMZ)
