As for the event itself, planner Sara Fried described a very family-friendly event filled with love. "Shawn and Andrew are both very close with their families," she noted. Lena Dunham Shows Off Her New Ring From ''Boyfriend of the Year'' Jack Antonoff. Jack Antonoff put a ring on it! Well, kinda. No, the fun. Guitarist and longtime love Lena Dunham aren't preparing to head down the aisle, but they still going strong in their relationship. The Girls star took to Instagram to share a gorgeous vintage ring that was gifted to her by Antonoff as an early anniversary gift. "Early anniversary gift from boyfriend of the year @jackantonoff (care of @eriebasin in Brooklyn.) Turn of the century moonstone and peridot. I will so enjoy looking at it while I type words #ringbrag #jewelrybitch #friendshipring," Dunham captioned the picture. The Erie Basin piece is a 1900s "rare and well preserved Edwardian era moonstone ring with a surround of alternating diamonds and demantoid garnets," according to the website. "Demantoid garnets are one of the world's rarest gems, and are prized for their lime color and almost diamond-like brilliance. Set in 14K yellow gold. Note that this ring would not be well suited to everyday wear: both moonstones and demantoid garnets are relatively soft gems." Dunham has dispelled rumors of an engagement many times before, and even revealed last year that the happy pair aren't rushing to the altar. "I love my boyfriend, I'm very lucky to call him my life partner, but you will sooner see me pregnant with twins," Dunham revealed. (Eonline)
Are Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna Already Married? Find Out What's Causing People to Speculate. Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have been engaged for less than a month, but they're causing people to wonder if they've already tied the knot. Hours after buying her a brand new $200K purple Lamborghini, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to Instagram on Wednesday night to share a rumor-inducing photo of his lady. "My beautiful wife," he captioned a selfie of Chyna, who gives a coral-colored pout as she gazes at the camera with blonde locks, standing in front of a pool. However, a source tells E! News exclusively that the two aren't married just yet. Rather, "wife" is a nickname Rob gave to Chyna a long time ago. "Apparently he calls her wifey playfully, and she calls him hubby," the insider explained to us, noting that he's called her that since before the engagement. Still, a wedding isn't too far off for the couple. After getting engaged in early April, another source tells us the bride-to-be has already started configuring all of the details for their wedding -- from the dress (or dresses) she'll be wearing to her hair and makeup to which of her gal-pals will be the lucky lady taking on maid of honor duties. "Chyna will have at least two dresses on her wedding, both statement pieces," the insider revealed, adding that she "has an idea on who she may want to design her dresses." As for the actual ceremony, the source told us Chyna wants a "big wedding with all her friends and family, and then a fun party after the ceremony." Though the pair hasn't picked a specific location just yet, "Chyna loves the warm weather, so the ceremony will be outside and somewhere in a warm climate." (Eonline)

This is just so terrifying. Earlier this week, Lily Allen opened up to the BBC about her harrowing experience with her stalker Alex Gray, who has been harassing the Smile singer for seven years. Oh man! As you may know, Miz Allen first started receiving abusive letters and suicide notes back in 2009. Unfortunately, the same man broke into her apartment just last year after the A-lister forgot to lock her door. So scary! To make matters worse, Lily feels that the police failed her in regards to this upsetting case. Apparently, the 30 year old sent several of the notes to law enforcement officers thinking they'd be used against Gray, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia -- but she soon discovered that they had been destroyed due to "police protocol". Also, the man was only first arrested after he stole her handbag. While Alex has been charged with harassment and burglary, he is NOT facing stalking charges. The LDN artist even added the police didn't seem interested in "making a stalking case". Lily felt particularly victim shamed after talking about her experience when an officer clapped back in a letter: "There have been press reports suggesting you were dissatisfied with the response you received. Further, due to the high profile of this matter. I fear that other victims of similar crimes may have read the story and now may not have the confidence in us to report such matters." How awful! Not to mention, there wasn't a single officer who attended the bail hearing of Lily's stalker -- who told the court the "world would be a better place without" Allen. Although, rather than being angry at Gray for his actions, Lily simply hopes he gets the help that he so desperately needs. (Perez Hilton)
Oprah Winfrey doesn't agree with how Michael Strahan handled his departure from Live! With Kelly and Michael. The 62-year-old TV legend weighed in on the drama surrounding Live! on Wednesday at the Tribeca Film Festival while promoting her new show Greenleaf. "Nobody should ever be blindsided," she told ET Online, referring to reports that host Kelly Ripa only found out about Strahan's departure when the news broke on Tuesday. "I don't know who's in charge, but somebody should've said, 'This is going to happen.' You shouldn't have to read it in the paper. Ever." She added: "Blindsided is never good." ABC announced that Strahan, 44, is ending his four-year run on Live! to join Good Morning America as a full-time co-anchor in September. He joined the GMA team in 2014, appearing twice a week on the show. A source previously told PEOPLE that Ripa was caught off guard by the news, and is "hurt and upset" over the way the situation was handled. "She totally understands why he'd take the job ... it's a great job!" the source said. "But there is a way to go about things, with courtesy and respect and decency, and none of those things were done here." Ripa was absent from Wednesday's episode of Live! and a source told PEOPLE that ABC doesn't know when she'll return-Ripa headed to the Turks and Caicos islands on a 20th-anniversary vacation with husband Mark Consuelos and her family, a source told PEOPLE. With Strahan slated to leave the show, a source previously told PEOPLE that Ripa is looking to longtime friends Cooper and Andy Cohen as possible replacements. However, daytime TV icon Winfrey has another idea in mind for the show. "You think she'd want to do it by herself now? She could," Winfrey told ET of a possible replacement for Strahan. "I remember I had a co-host for a long time and I wanted to do it by myself so I get it." Although she said she disagrees with Ripa being "blindsided" in the situation, Winfrey said Strahan will be a great edition to GMA because of his "natural talent." "I think Michael is so great he's like a natural talent. We felt that from the moment he sat down in the seat next to her, don't you agree?" she said. "He's going to be great on GMA-he won't get any sleep, but he will be great." (People)
Kelly Ripa Spotted for the First Time in NYC Since LIVE! Shake-Up. After making waves with her absence on LIVE! With Kelly and Michael Wednesday, Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, have been spotted in New York City. She will be absent from her morning talk show until at least Tuesday, as Erin Andrews and Shay Mitchell will fill in for the star while she's on vacation. Her spotting comes two days after Michael Strahan announced he would be leaving the show to join Good Morning America full-time. A source told E! News that Kelly was angry when she heard the news at the same time as everybody else. "She was livid," a source told us exclusively. "It wasn't pretty." Executives sat Kelly down in a meeting after her show had taped Tuesday morning and informed her. Michael joined Kelly and others in the meeting. "He wanted to be there. He didn't have to be, but he didn't want to have her hear it and not be there," the source said. "He tried to do the standup thing." While she's absent from the show, she and her family will fly to Turks and Caicos to enjoy an already-planned vacation in honor of the couple's 20th wedding anniversary. (Eonline)
Michael Strahan Joins His Good Morning America Co-Hosts On-Air, Claims He and Kelly Ripa Are Still "Family." Michael Strahan received a warm welcome on Good Morning America. Two days after ABC announced that Strahan would be leaving Live! With Kelly and Michael this summer to appear on its morning news program full-time beginning this fall, Strahan joined Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer and George Stephanopoulos in-studio Thursday. Though multiple sources have told E! News that he and Kelly Ripa did not get along behind the scenes -- and she was "livid" after being told of the shakeup -- Strahan put on a big smile and spoke of her fondly. "We cannot wait for you full-time," Stephanopoulos said. "Are you ready?" "I'm ready. I need some tips on how to wake up early every day. That's going to be first and foremost, but it's like my second family here. I'm going to miss everybody at Live!," Strahan, 44, admitted. "I've been sitting next to Kelly every day and having a lot of fun on that show for the last four years. I'm very thankful for her -- to her -- because I learned so much from her." Strahan said it was Ripa, 45, who showed him the ropes. "I was so new to all of this. If it weren't for her, if it weren't for [executive producer] Michael Gelman and the staff there that really boosted me up and made me look a lot better than I really am, I never would have had a chance to be here," he said. "But I'm grateful that I'm here. And we're on the same network. I'm just right over here a little bit earlier now, but we're the same team, same family, same network." Spencer gave him some sleeping advice: "Get over it. You're going to be tired." "Don't fight the tired," Strahan said. "Own it. Love it," Spencer said. "It's part of life." "I embrace it," Strahan said. "I'm excited to be here." Amy Robach also congratulated Strahan via satellite. While Strahan is publicly saying he considers Ripa to be like "family," she was blindsided by his exit. Strahan didn't choose to leave Live!, though. "He's not the boss," a source told E! News Wednesday. "He is an employee of the network." Regardless, Ripa skipped Wednesday's show and later flew to Turks and Caicos with her family. A rep for the show said Ripa was going on a "previously-scheduled vacation" and that Erin Andrews and Shay Mitchell would be filling in for her. (Eonline)
Lara Spencer Is Not Jealous of Michael Strahan, Source Confirms. Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Michael Strahan's surprise departure from LIVE!, another colleague has been pulled into the mayhem. Rumors have swirled that Lara Spencer, his Good Morning America co-anchor, is less than thrilled about the network's choice to give him a full-time spot on the morning news program since she had allegedly been promised the lead spot on the anchor desk. However, a source tells E! News that simply is not true. "Lara and Michael are very close friends," the insider said. Thursday morning, his GMA co-anchors, including Spencer, George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts offered him a warm congratulatory welcome. "We cannot wait for you full-time," Stephanopoulos said. "Are you ready?" "I'm ready. I need some tips on how to wake up early every day. That's going to be first and foremost, but it's like my second family here," Strahan replied before expressing his gratitude to Ripa and all that he has taught him. While he has the support of his GMA colleague, co-host Kelly Ripa was absent from her post on LIVE! Wednesday after ABC executives, the show's executive producer Michael Gelman and Strahan broke the news to her in a meeting after Tuesday's show. "He wanted to be there. He didn't have to be, but he didn't want to have her hear it and not be there," a source told E! News of Strahan's attendance at the meeting. "He tried to do the standup thing." "She was livid," a source told E! exclusively. "It wasn't pretty." E! News confirmed Ripa will not be back on the show for the rest of the week, either. "On [today's] LIVE with Kelly and Michael, Erin Andrews will guest co-host with Michael Strahan. Friday's show -- which already was scheduled to pre-tape on Thursday -- also will be co-hosted by Andrews," a show spokesperson told E! News. Meanwhile, Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos are headed to Turks and Caicos with their three children for a weekend getaway that has been planned since February. (Eonline)
Everybody Loves Raymond Cast Reunites to Honor Doris Roberts. Everybody loves Doris Roberts. The Everybody Loves Raymond matriarch, 90, died Sunday, and since then her co-stars have been expressing their condolences and honoring their fallen friend. Wednesday night, however, a bunch of the cast, writers and producers of the hit CBS series reunited to pay tribute to Roberts. Show creator Phil Rosenthal tweeted a picture with a sweet message. "Last night some old friends got together to raise a glass, and a plate of pasta, to #DorisRoberts. Lots of love," he wrote. Ray Romano (Ray Barone), Patricia Heaton (Debra Barone), Monica Horan Rosenthal (Amy MacDougall), Tucker Cawley, Aileen Cawley, Tom Caltabiano, Aaron Shure and Mike Royce and more attended the dinner. "Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped," Romano said in a statement to E! News after hearing she passed away. "Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly." "Truly the end of an era. My wonderful TV mother-in-law and ELR nemesis Doris Roberts was a consummate professional from whom I learned so much," Heaton wrote on Twitter. "She was funny and tough and loved life, living it to the fullest. Nothing gave her greater joy than her three wonderful grandchildren, of whom she was so proud. It truly was a privilege Doris. I love you and miss you." Roberts' unforgettable role as Marie Barone landed her four primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and critical acclaim. She also built up a passionate fan base, which included some unlikely stars. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rosenthal recalled the last time he was with his beloved colleague and the intriguing star they met. "The last time I saw [Doris], my wife and I took her to see Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett at the Hollywood Bowl," he shared. "We had a lovely time and we went backstage and we met Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, and Lady Gaga gushed all over." "She couldn't believe she was meeting Doris. She loved Doris," Rosenthal continued. "She watched the show and was a fan and that was something, because here's somebody that you wouldn't expect to be an Everybody Loves Raymond fan or a Marie Barone fan." Marie Barone absolutely loved Raymond, but it looks like everybody else loved Marie. (Eonline)
Natalie White has been posing -- often nude -- for photographer Peter Beard for nearly a decade, but it's only just now paying off. White, 27, a leggy muse from West Virginia, has settled a lawsuit against Peter, 78, and his manager/wife, Nejma Beard -- and their countersuit -- over two series of giant Polaroid collages. And now she is quietly selling the images. Neither White nor her lawyer would discuss the terms of the confidential settlement, but a friend of hers told me, "She has 25 pieces of art in her apartment. It's a happy ending." White claimed in her lawsuit that she spent her life savings of $100,000 to produce a series of shoots in 2013 that featured her and an all-star team of models, including Pamela Anderson, Chanel Iman, Helena Christensen, Nina Agdal and Hannah Davis. In return, she was to get 50 photographs. But she only received 16 of the images before Nejma, described as "possessive and estranged," found out. "Once [Nejma] Beard learned of the project, she forbade Mr. Beard, and actively prevented him, from abiding by his contractual commitment," the suit alleged. The Beards countersued, claiming White "used lies and deception to leech onto" him, and had him sign a consignment agreement in a "dimly lit nightclub, with music playing and the drinks flowing." Beard, a Yale man with a house in Montauk and a ranch in Kenya, was married to model Cheryl Tiegs and discovered Iman, who would later marry David Bowie. In 2009, after White posed for him in only a thong atop Arturo Di Modica's Wall Street bull sculpture, Beard told me, "It's the only thing I've ever done in finance." (Page Six)
Prince Found Dead: Singer and Pop Icon Was 57. The music world has lost another legend. World renowned pop artist Prince has died at age 57. The singer was found dead at his estate in Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota Thursday, two sources told E! News. Prince's rep later confirmed his death. "It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence Thursday morning at the age of 57," the rep said in a statement to NBC News. "There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time." The Carver County Sheriff's Office told NBC News police responded to a report of a fatality at the property. Last weekend, Prince appeared at a Paisley Park dance party. Days earlier, he was hospitalized with the flu following an emergency plane landing in Moline, Illinois, TMZ and other outlets had reported. TMZ had also said the singer canceled two shows last week in Atlanta due to his illness. His reps have not commented. At the party, he reassured fans about his health status, saying, "Wait a few days before you waste any prayers," according to The New York Daily News. Prince was born in 1958. He was the son of a pianist in a Minnesota jazz band. He rose to fame in the late '70s and was most popular in the '80s and early '90s, with hits such as "Little Red Corvette," "When Doves Cry," "Let's Go Crazy," "Cream," "Diamonds and Pearls" and "Purple Rain." A 1984 album with the latter name remains one of the singer's most successful and inspired a rock musical film with the same title, in which Prince made his film debut. The singer, who many saw as a rival to Michael Jackson during his prime years, last released new music in 2015 -- the album Hit n Run Phase Two. A year earlier, he dropped Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum, marking his first records released by Warner Bros. Records since he famously parted ways with the record company in the 1990s amid disagreements over his contract, namely with regard to ownership rights. Before he left the label, Prince identified himself by a "love symbol" and was known as The Artist Formally Known as Prince. He also sported the word "Slave" on his face during concerts to signal his protest. He changed his name back to Prince in 2000. (Eonline)
The artist known as Prince has died ... TMZ has learned. He was 57. Prince's body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning. Multiple sources connected to the singer confirmed he had passed. We've obtained the emergency dispatch call for a "male down, not breathing." The singer -- full name Prince Rogers Nelson -- had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. But he appeared at a concert the next day to assure his fans he was okay. His people told TMZ he was battling the flu. Prior to his most recent appearance however, Prince had cancelled two shows due to health concerns. Prince became an international superstar in 1982 after his breakthrough album "1999." He went on to churn out a ton of hits -- and racking up 7 Grammys in the process. He also performed at the Super Bowl in 2007 ... in one of the greatest live performances of all time. He also sold more than 100 million records during his career ... and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain in 1985. Prince was married two times -- the first time to his backup dancer Mayte Garcia. They split in 2000. He then married Manuela Testolini ... but they split in 2006. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and performed a legendary version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" to close the ceremony. (TMZ)

Stop Everything! A Saved by the Bell-Inspired Pop-Up Diner Is Coming to Chicago. Remember when you wished that you went to Bayside High School? And that you could go to The Max after school and sit at the booth with all of the gang? Well, at least one part of that can come true now! Saved by the Bell fans can dine in style when Saved by the Max, the pop-up diner previously announced in February, officially opens in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood on June 1 -- but it's only going to be there for a short while, so you really do need to make it on time. Saved by the Max will remain open for one month, and reservation tickets are available beginning April 22. As you can probably assume, the pop-up diner will be modeled after the famous hangout spot The Max, which was featured on the show from 1989-1993. (There is no word if Kelly Kapowski [Tiffani Thiessen] will be serving food or if A.C. Slater [Mario Lopez] will bust out a ballet routine in a black spandex one-piece, but here's to hoping.) Local reports state that there will be dinner service at 5 p.m. daily, weekend brunch (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays) and a late-night menu. Dishes in development include, the Macaroni & Screech, AC Sliders and a Lisa Turtle Milkshake. The Max will also feature a full bar with Bayside-inspired cocktails. Comedian and Saved by the Bell alum Ed Alonzo revealed the address to the pop-up on YouTube this week. Are you ready? Saved by the Max is coming to 1941 W. North Ave., formerly Geek Bar, in Wicker Park. "We needed a place that would allow fans to feel as if they've been transported back to Bayside and are fully immersed in the universe of the show. The final look of the space is going to be a dream come true and deliver the grand slam nostalgic experience everyone has been waiting for," Derek Berry, the man behind the restaurant, told CBS Chicago. Don't forget to grab your tickets this Friday! (Eonline)
Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj and More Stars Honored With TIME 100 Covers. An Oscar and now a TIME cover -- it has certainly been a very special year for Leonardo DiCaprio. The Academy Award-winning actor was featured on the annual TIME 100 cover along with five of this year's most influential nominees, including rapper Nicki Minaj, actress Priyanka Chopra Broadway's Hamilton creator Lin-Manual Miranda and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. In addition to the six cover stars, the issue also honors dozens of "forces that move us," including Pope Francis, Ronda Rousey, Grammy winner Adele, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Caitlyn Jenner to complete the yearly 100 list. Minaj discussed her international influence in a video for TIME, urging young women to be prove their worth through the quality of their work. "If I'm great at what I do, I can't be denied," she said. "Some things may be overlooked but no one can deny my brand, and that's the words of wisdom I would give to other young women." As is customary with the issue, each honoree is paired with a guest contributor handpicked by the magazine's staff to write about them. Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence penned complimentary remarks in honor of her friend and "Hello" singer. "The way she is able to capture herself, and then in turn us, has turned her into a star that's not a star we look at, but a giant star with its own gravity that we are drawn to. All of this about her lyrics, and I haven't even gotten started on the voice -- how could I? It's once-in-a- -- lifetime," she wrote. "All this about her voice and I won't have time to talk about her intelligence. Her 500-year-old wisdom. Her patience and kindness all wrapped up in the tough skin of a damn gangster... Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she's also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful. Bitch." The high praise continued, this time from Vice President Joe Biden to The Revenant's DiCaprio. "Leo's talent is limitless, but his secret has always been pretty simple: he's real. He does his homework. He knows what he's talking about... Preparation, authenticity and smarts are at the core of who he is as an artist," he shared. "But I admire him even more for putting those formidable tools toward becoming such a galvanizing force to protect our planet... Twenty years ago, Leo captured the hearts of millions of moviegoers by declaring 'I'm the king of the world!' Through his work and example, today he's inspiring many millions more to help save it." Queen Elizabeth II Poses With Prince George and Princess Charlotte for 90th Birthday Official Portraits. Every birthday girl needs to pose for photos on her special day. But, when you're Queen Elizabeth II, those photos are taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. The nearly 90-year-old monarch is celebrating ahead of her milestone birthday Thursday with vivid new portraits of herself paired with some of her favorite people. Surrounded by a colorful emerald green backdrop, the royal monarch posed among two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, including Prince William's two kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The newest princess to the royal clan had the best seat in the room atop her famous great-grandmother's lap. "I think she is very fond of Charlotte, always watching what she's up to," Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton said of the Queen's relationship with her daughter in an interview for ITV's television special, The Queen at Ninety. As for her second youngest great-grandchild Mia Tindall, the toddler had the royal duty of holding the monarch's purse. A fashionista is born! In a second photograph, the Queen shared the spotlight with her only daughter, Princess Anne, while posed in the posh White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. The resemblance between mother and daughter is uncanny, particularly as they sit cozily at each other's side. To conclude the trio of images, Queen Elizabeth stepped outside on a cloudy day to pose among her four dogs, including two of her cocker spaniels and her two beloved corgis Holly and Willow. Pippa Middleton Climbed the Swiss Alps for Charity (Because Why Not?) Feeling like you've accomplished a ton today? Well, look no further than to Pippa Middleton to help humble you a bit. Kate Middleton's sporty sister has just begun the Patrouille des Glaciers, a 33-mile charity course that aims to raise awareness for the United Kingdom's National Skier's and Boarder's Charity Disability Snowsport. The 32-year-old appeared to be all smiles while she climbed through the course alongside thousands of fellow racers in the freezing temperatures. Pippa was said to have completed the course from Rena to Lillehammer in just under six hours -- five hours and 58 minutes, to be exact -- and was grinning ear-to-ear as she crossed the finish line. This isn't the first time that Pippa has competed in a sports event all in the name of charity, either. In fact, back in January of this year she took part in the legendary Inferno race in Switzerland and less than one month later she competed in the Birkebeiner Ski Race in Norway. All in a day's work for Pippa, right?! (Eonline)
There are few things Susan Sarandon has dared not try, and now that she has posed for PEOPLE without makeup, that list has gotten even shorter." "I wanted to see what it would feel like," the 69-year-old says simply of her decision. The Oscar winner, activist and mom of three is comfortable in her own skin-inside and out-and attributes her healthy natural glow to "more what I haven't done than what I've done: I don't smoke cigarettes and I don't really drink and I get bored lying around in the sun." The L'Oreal spokeswoman says she keeps her skincare regimen pretty simple. "I use L'Oreal skin oil and tinted sunblock (L'Oreal Youth Code Skin Illuminator Tinted All-In-1 Moisturizer) she says. "I'm lucky I have good skin. I definitely have lines, and underneath my eyes have definitely gotten more hollowed out, I guess, as you lose collagen." With her usual candor, she's also open about what she has and hasn't done regarding cosmetic procedures. "I think everybody should do whatever they want to do," she says in regards to plastic surgery. "I had something sucked out about 10 or 12 years ago [points to her eye area]. The only thing I have a problem with is when suddenly people have gigantic lips that never had gigantic lips. I'm a little nervous about anything really huge, or Botox even, because I have to use my face. But I'm all for people doing whatever makes them feel good about themselves." Still, she adds, "It makes me uncomfortable to see really large breast and butt implants; I don't quite understand what it's like to live with that. It would be like sitting on your purse all the time!" The actress, whose new film The Meddler comes out April 22, says she believes she looked her best when she was pregnant. "Not two days after you have a baby, you're a nightmare," she says with a laugh. "But leading up to that, you have that glow, I think because of all the extra hormones. I loved everything about being pregnant." What Makes You Feel Most Beautiful? As for what she's learned to love over the years, she says, "When I was growing up, everyone made fun of my eyes. They would call me 'Popeye' and all kinds of things. As I matured, I started realizing that all your imperfections are what make you what you are, and I kind of embraced that oddity, something that was specific to me. "There is a picture of myself in grammar school, and, oh god, it's one of the saddest little things you've ever seen," she continues. "I'm skinny, with a long neck, wearing my Catholic school uniform and I have two ponytails-and my eyes, I look like a praying mantis! It's endearing, but in a very pathetic way." Asked if a "significant other" prefers her with or without makeup, she says, "I so wish I had a significant other, but if anybody likes this spread, it will definitely be without makeup. I think that pretty much everybody I've ever been with has not gone for a heavy makeup look. I can't remember anybody's who said 'Can you go back in there and put more makeup on?'" And if there's one situation she wouldn't be caught dead in-without makeup-she laughs and says, "Well, I just got caught dead in it. Being photographed. I just did it!" (People)
Conor McGregor says he is NOT retired -- still wants to fight at UFC 200 -- and blasted the UFC saying he's paid to fight, not to promote. In a long post to social media, McGregor essentially says he's been caught up in the PR machine -- and it distracted him from his main focus ... fighting. "I have become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting." "Talking to some lady that deep down doesn't give a f*ck about what I'm doing, but just wants some sound bites so she can maybe get her little tight ass a nice raise, and I'm cool with that too, I've been giving you all raises. But I need to focus on me now." McGregor says he tried to strike a compromise with the UFC -- asking for permission to skip the Vegas press conference this weekend and instead only hitting the "big" events like the upcoming presser in NYC, but was shot down. Conor says he doesn't think the decision to yank him from UFC 200 is fair considering how much money he's made for the UFC over the years. "I feel the $400million I have generated for the company in my last three events, all inside 8 months, is enough to get me this slight leeway." He also took a shot at Nate Diaz -- "Nate's little mush head looks good up on that stage these days. Stuff him in front of the camera for it." He concludes by addressing his "retirement" tweet -- saying, "For USADA and for the UFC and my contract stipulations - I AM NOT RETIRED." (TMZ)
When Mariah Carey goes highbrow shopping in Paris, you know what has to happen -- two chicks smacked up a guy ... on camera! Mimi was fine, but the fans who rallied Wednesday outside the famed Alaia couture and perfumerie ... were all zut alors and sacre bleu! Everyone seemed cool when MC strolled in -- selfies and smiles all around -- but someone must've photobombed somebody's shot, 'cause once Mariah got inside all hell broke loose. French passion knows no limits. Sadly. (TMZ)
Donald Trump is a progressive on transgender issues ... saying the trans community is welcome to use any bathroom in his slew of buildings. Donald was on "Today" when Matt posed the question ... if Caitlyn walked into the Trump Tower, what bathroom could she use? Trump not only opened the bathroom door, he went the extra mile, saying it would be discriminatory to create a bathroom specifically for the trans community. (TMZ)
Lamar Odom has been invited to play on a prestigious L.A. basketball team to compete against current and former NBA stars ... and it's a huge step in getting back to the NBA. The person behind the offer is Baron Davis -- who tells TMZ Sports he heard about Odom's public declaration to get back in the big leagues ... and says he knows the perfect way to help. Turns out, Davis is a big deal in the legendary Drew League, an exclusive pro-am in Watts, CA where stars like Kobe, LeBron, Durant and more have come to hone their skills during the NBA off-season. "I'm going to reach out to LO to see if he would want to play alongside me on my team since he is wanting to return," Davis tells TMZ Sports. Just last week, Odom confidently told E.T. he's NBA-ready -- this seems like it would be the perfect opportunity to prove it. (TMZ)
How Fans Convinced Taco Bell to Bring Back This Favorite After Five Burrito-Free Years. Holy hot sauce and a side of beans! Thursday marked Taco Bell history, as the Beefy Crunch Burrito will return to menus across the nation. This glorious feat did not come without an epic battle, however. Five burrito-less years ago, Taco Bell ripped the beloved Beefy Crunch Burrito from its menus. Sure, it was a limited time offer, but it left an impression on the Frito-filled hearts of T-Bell lovers everywhere. The loss of the BCB hit one man, Richard Axton, particularly hard. So much so, he decided to start a movement to bring the item back on the menu. In an email exchange with E!, Richard told us he started his revolution the very same day he discovered the BCB had vanished. Richard believes he probably began his crusade within an hour of learning the tragic news. Determination at its finest. Richard noted about the loss, "This was the first Taco Bell item that made me instantly go 'are you kidding me?' and drive straight home to start the movement. It was definitely [a] shock. I had no idea it was limited time, but the burrito was so good that its reaction was as if I went to Burger King and they had told me they stopped the Whopper. The BCB is a signature item at Taco Bell, and I think that's why this movement has been so successful." Richard did not go about his goal alone, however. As of today, there are more than 40,500 fans who joined forces with the founder in what was named the "Beefy Crunch Movement." Crusaders rallied on social media and promoted their cause with "Beefy Crunch Awareness Days." After over 1,800 days, Taco Bell raised the white flag. The chain announced the return of the BCB (and the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito to boot) on March 30. The Beefy Crunch Movement had won the war and T-Bell placed the item back on the menu. BCB celebrations across the country are currently underway, where fans are tasting its blessed goodness for the first time in forever. When asked what it was about the BCB that drove Richard to fight for his food, he noted, "The Flamin' Hot Fritos, and what those added to the taste and experience of the burrito. Unlike other limited time only items that have come and gone from Taco Bell, the BCB was a perfect match. It is evident from the continuing partnership with Frito Lays in the Doritos Tacos, the regular Frito Burrito, and the Frito Tacos, that the BCB was right all along." In an email interview with Ryan Rimsnider, Senior Manager, Social Strategy at Taco Bell, we asked him how fans were able to convince the chain to concede. "We see a lot of passion around our food and the brand whether it's in the restaurants or on social media, but rarely do we see an actual movement with over 40,000 people behind a single burrito. The return of the Fan Favorite burritos speaks to the passion and dedication of a movement and the power and influence of social listening." Can we get an amen (or maybe just one of those burritos)?! Richard told us he was looking forward to the reaction of the community the most. "Sure I spearheaded the movement," he noted, "but I was merely a lightning rod for [a] highly charged consumer base that knew it wanted the Beefy Crunch but maybe didn't quite know how to go about it. Letting people realize the power of their voice and working in partnership with Taco Bell in bringing that message to them... that's the reward in all this (after the burrito of course)." Cue standing ovation. (Eonline)

Nicki Minaj, Adele, Ariana Grande & More Honored as Time 100. Adele's essay is penned by Jennifer Lawrence, Lin Manuel-Miranda honored by J.J. Abrams. "She's an icon, a boss and a role model to all these young girls out here on how to do it the right way." That's how Lil Wayne described Nicki Minaj in an essay honoring the "Feeling Myself" rapper for Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list. Weezy recalled the first time he heard Nicki rapping, on a street DVD he bought in New York where he was featured along with a verse from her. "I was like, 'Woooooow!' She was just being Nicki without the glitz and glamour," Wayne wrote. "When I heard the first two and four bars, it wasn't even about her rapping better than any female rapper. It was about, man, she's rapping better than other rappers -- period." The Young Money boss said he saw Minaj's potential from the first moment he laid eyes on her. "She's reached far beyond everything I would have imagined," he said. "Man, she's so influential and doing all the right things... her work ethic speaks volumes and has yielded these results. The scary thing is she's still going. Ha! Nicki Minaj will go down as one of the best to do it in the history of music." In a feature that also has Secretary of State John Kerry calling Leonardo DiCaprio's talent "limitless," Lena Dunham praising Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "naturalistic lunacy" and Ziggy Marley big-upping Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt's status as a "unifying force," one of the most personal and moving stories has Jennifer Lawrence describing her undying fangirl admiration for her friend Adele. The Oscar-winning actress describes sneaking backstage at the 2013 Academy Awards to watch Adele sing "Skyfall," comparing it to getting a "peek behind the Great Oz's curtain," then calling the singer's debut album, 21, a vessel for previously indescribable "pain, frustration, sadness, then revolution that all comes from a breakup." Lawrence praises Adele as "a giant star with its own gravity that we are drawn to," with a "once-in-a-lifetime" voice and ancient wisdom. Plus, she notes, Adele's also a wonderful mother, great friend and partner and just "sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful." Check out composer Jason Robert Brown's warning to never, ever underestimate vocal powerhouse Ariana Grande, Empire co-creator Lee Daniels referring to Taraji P. Henson as "the modern Bette Davis," Bono returning the favor for "diplomatic bruiser" Kerry and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams finding yet another way to honor already award-buried Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda for his "profoundly moving and wholly original" musical. And don't miss Black Lives Matter co-founder Alicia Garza describing how Kendrick Lamar has "evolved a new genre of movement music that asserts no answers but raises hard questions and brings us together to take them on" with his widely praised To Pimp a Butterfly album. "Kendrick should be applauded for inviting us to face things that are uncomfortable, for celebrating our will to survive and for being audacious enough to grapple with the questions that we all need to answer if we ever hope to get free." Who's Up-and-Coming Latin Artist Matt Hunter? Marc Anthony may be placing a big bet on 18-year old singer Matt Hunter, whom he refers to as "the future" of music and is considering signing to his label, Magnus Records. "I'm just a massive Matt Hunter fan," says Anthony in his new Billboard cover story. "He's a YouTube sensation, and he has done it all on his own since he was 13 years old." Who exactly is this "next big thing" being supported and cheered on by one of the most influential and powerful Latin artists? He's a singer-songwriter of Colombian origin raised in New Jersey who started off as the voice behind Diego in Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!. Billboard Cover: Inside Marc Anthony's New Latin Entertainment Empire. At age 13, Hunter pursued a singing career by posting videos on YouTube which helped him build a steady and growing fan base he called #Hunters. After recording singles in English and Spanish like "Mi Amor," "Right Here, Right Now" and "Mi Senorita," the young talent now boasts of more than 500,000 followers on Twitter, 300,000 on Instagram and over 200,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. "When he goes to Chile, there are 5,000 fans at the airport. There are huge crowds outside his hotel in Argentina. He can pick up the guitar and play his ass off," Anthony tells Billboard. "He's a writer. Imagine an urban sound, in Spanish, played by this young, beautiful kid who's so talented and just lives music. I mean, the girls go bonkers." "Amor Real," a ballad with melancholic lyrics accompanied by urban and funky beats, is Hunter's upcoming new song. "I believe that this is the sound ... This is the future right here," says Anthony. Concord Bicycle Music has acquired the Musart Music Group, the Mexican indie powerhouse music company which has 70,000 copyrights in its publishing divisions and 4,000 albums in its label's catalog. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but sources say that the company has annual revenues of about $10 million. Musart, founded in 1948 by Eduardo Baptista Covarrubias and still run as a family business, operates the publishing divisions of Edimusa Mexico and Vander USA as well as record imprints Discos Musart Mexico, Balboa Records USA and Panart Cuba. Its recording artists and songwriters include Antonio Aguilar, Oscar D'Leon, Laberinto, Pepe Aguilar, Los Player's, Gloria Trevi, and Joan Sebastian. Its song catalog includes "El Mariachi Loco," "Llorando Se Fue," and "On the Floor" (Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull). In addition to being a top player in Mexico, the company also administers music from Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela and Cuba and includes a wide range of Latin genres such as Norteno, Ranchera, Grupera, Banda, Tropical, Pop, Mariachi and Cuban. "Musart represents one of the most important independent music companies in Mexican history," Concord Bicycle Music CEO Scott Pascucci said in a statement. "While the catalog's roots run deep into the foundation of Mexican culture, over 50 percent of the earnings now come from the USA, making it a very culturally important American catalog as well. The Baptista family has built and managed a wonderful music company for over 65 years and we are quite honored to be the next caretakers of this music, history and culture." The deal furthers Concord Bicycle's reputation as an industry consolidator, having acquired High Tone Records, Rounder Records, Vanguard, Razor & Tie Sugar Hill Records and Wind-Up Records. Concord Bicycle's Chief Corporate Development Officer Steve Salm sourced and negotiated the deal for Musart. While Concord Bicycle has been aggressively gobbling up publishing catalogs and record labels, the Musart deal represents its first thrust into the Latin America market as it continues to search for investment opportunities in music assets with broad upside potential. Its move into Musart comes as the Latin consumer -- who largely sat out on the digital download phenomenon -- continues to aggressively embrace streaming through mobile phones. "For seven decades Musart and Edimusa have been Latin America's premier independent label and publisher," Musart's president/chairman Eduardo Baptista Lucio said in a statement. "In deciding to move forward with this transaction, we carefully chose Concord Bicycle to take over our family's legacy. Few companies in the industry have performed the way they have, their growth and depth of catalog speak for themselves." Concord has pacted with the family to serve as sub-publishers for the catalog in Mexico and Colombia, according to Salm. "They will also as well as help us manage the masters catalog as well south of the border and provide us with general consulting on catalog marketing, re-issues, and artist relations," Salm adds. Musart will continue to be distributed by Sony for physical and its Orchard operation for digital for the few years left on that distribution agreement, according to sources. (Billboard)
Joe Walsh Cancels Veteran Benefit Concert After Discovering GOP Convention Ties. Joe Walsh has canceled a planned July 18 concert in Cleveland after finding out that it had ties to the Republican National Convention. The Eagles guitarist announced in a statement that he did not realize the show intended to benefit the families of veterans was part of the GOP gathering and once he did he could not in good conscience honor the booking. "It was my understanding that I was playing a concert which was a non-partisan event to benefit the families of American veterans on Monday, July 18 in Cleveland," wrote Walsh, who launches a 25-date U.S. tour with Bad Company in mid-May. "The admat I approved said this specifically. It was announced that this event is, in fact, a launch for the Republican National Convention. In addition, my name is to be used to raise sponsorship dollars for convention-related purposes. Therefore, I must humbly withdraw my participation in this event with apologies to any fans or veterans and their families that I might disappoint." Walsh, who popped up for a surprise two-song sit-in with Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach's The Arcs at Coachella last weekend, said the harsh, divisive tenor of the Republican presidential campaign is the reason he was forced to pull out of the event. "I am very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns," he said. "It is both isolationist and spiteful. I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way. I will look at doing a veteran related benefit concert later this year." A spokesperson for the Republican National Committee could not be reached for comment at press time. (Billboard)
Adele Becomes U.K.'s Richest Female Musician. The singer's fortune tops $120 million, but Ireland's Enya is wealthier. Having an album that smashes first-week sales records around the world -- including in the U.S. -- and goes on to sell some 15 million copies can do wonders for your bank account, as Adele can attest to. Buoyed by the success of 25, released in November, the singer is now Britain's richest female musician ever, according to The Sunday Times' latest "Rich List." Announced Thursday, the list of the top 50 music millionaires in the U.K. puts Adele's fortune at $121.8 million (£85 million), up $50 million (£35 million) from last year. But the figure was only enough to secure the 30th position on the overall chart, led by Paul McCartney with $1.09 billion (£760 million), followed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with $1.02 billion (£715 million) and the members of U2, with a collective $716 million (£500 million). Adele was just one of three solo women to make it onto the 2016 list, alongside Kylie Minogue and Irish musician Enya, who topped the "Hello" singer with a total of $130.2 million (£91 million). However, Enya, whose career has spanned four decades, only added £1 million ($1.4 million) in 2015. (Hollywood Reporter)
A Closer Look at the Bataclan's Renewal -- Will the Cure Be One of Its First Headliners? Six months after the Bataclan was attacked by terrorists, the Paris club is rebuilding and refocusing and looking for a new foundation -- maybe with the help of The Cure. But with extremism still rampant in Europe, will American acts come back? The live music industry in France is still coming to terms with a new world order six months after the terrorist attack at Paris venue the Bataclan, where, on Nov. 13, 2015, Eagles of Death Metal were -- performing when gunmen stormed the venue, -- killing 89. But the club is -- preparing to open its doors -- perhaps, -- according to insiders, in October with The Cure -- headlining. (A rep for the band, whose first gig in France was at the Bataclan in December 1979, didn't respond to Billboard's request for comment.) It has been a long road in a relatively short period of time for the 1,500-capacity room, whose rebuilding started in earnest in March, with the blood-soaked wood floor gutted and the seats replaced (construction to repair the antique ceiling had been planned for this spring prior to the attacks). The stage was hit especially hard, since one of the attackers -- -identified as Samy Amimour -- blew himself up on it. (EODM member Jesse Hughes alleged that the attack may have been an inside job, -- comments venue reps called "grave and defamatory." Hughes later retracted his charge.) In an unusual move, reps for the club's owners, Lagardère Unlimited Live Entertainment, a division of Lagardère SCA, recently invited victims and families affected by the attack to tour the -reconstruction in a continuing effort to rebuild their lives. One -- survivor, Alexis Lebrun, who hid under bodies for two hours and eventually managed to escape the melee, has sworn off live music -- altogether. "I'm a different man now," says the 27-year-old native of Paris suburb Massy. That view should have French promoters concerned, but the -prevailing sentiment seems to be closer to one adopted by survivors -- association Life for Paris. "We learn to enjoy life a bit more every day. ... We don't need to hide," member Lydia Vassalo told Newsweek. Indeed, other venue -- owners are pointing to an unspoken bond between concertgoers and those behind the scenes. "Everybody is -- sticking together," says Renaud Barillet, CEO of La Bellevilloise (capacity 1,200) and two smaller -- downtown venues, -- adding that audiences are showing few signs of impatience during -- mandatory -- pat-downs and bag checks. Adds Laurent Sabatier, manager of Les Docks de Paris, a Saint-Denis venue with three event spaces, and a -- member of Prodiss, the main -- organization of club owners and -- promoters: "What was a drag got friendly and relaxed -- and faster." Still, the industry has a ways to go. Security experts have been inspecting venues all over France to assess their preparedness. "We used to get training on fire -- hazards or brawls between -- skinheads and punks at a -- hardcore gig; we basically have to learn a new job," says Sabatier, comparing live music's learning curve with that of the airline industry's in the early 2000s. And they're educating -- customers, too. Venues have launched -- several PR -- campaigns -- among them #PlusQueJamais ("more than ever") -- and distributed fliers of dos and don'ts. Plus, Parisians are considering more tangible changes, "like -- enlarging the pavement and -- adding barriers or -- obstacles, such as big flower pots to -prevent ram-raids," says Sabatier. "Nobody wants to change a club into an airport hall," says Benoit Maume, artistic director of Silencio, a David Lynch-designed private club, and -- former staffer at Nouveau Casino located near the Bataclan. At the same time, awareness of being a "soft target" for terrorism has had an impact. "Security costs have increased by an average of 30 -- percent for -- venues," says Sabatier. So far, the bills are only partly covered by a -- government fund of €4 million ($4.5 million) that is quickly being depleted (the industry asked for €50 million at minimum). "In case of a possible attack, or after a prank call -- a promoter's worst nightmare -- what should a promoter do? What if I cancel my event because of a threat or if an attack occurs miles away? Will I be -- covered? These are tough questions." For many venues, more bad news arose after the Bataclan tragedy: Local insurance companies had -- modified -- contractual terms in January 2015 after the attack at -- newspaper Charlie Hebdo, so it had already become harder -- and pricier -- to insure an event. Some -- promoters are -- turning to -- international brokers to find -- better deals. An insider says it has become -- increasingly -- difficult to book American bands: "To put it bluntly, they are fine with -- avoiding France for their European summer tour." But John Reid, president of European concerts for Live Nation, takes issue with that characterization, -- telling Billboard: "Not true. Everyone is routed through Paris, and even some regional shows in France this summer." Matthew Caws, frontman for veteran indie band Nada Surf, which is booked to perform at the Bataclan on Dec. 2, sees a greater purpose in -- playing Paris. "We want to help -- contribute to a sense of life continuing and bring positive intentions, which stand in -- opposition to fear," he says. In England, there's a similar -- sentiment. "Security is a fine balance -- you have to -- provide reassurance so people feel safe, -- comfortable and happy to come, but you don't want to make security such a big concern that it prohibits their ability to enjoy -- themselves," says Rebecca Kane Burton, GM at London's O2 Arena. "That's the tightrope we walk, but we're still doing 200 -performances a year. We open the -- building as much as we can." But Maume offers a different view. "If the terrorists' motive was -- spreading fear, they've already won," he says, noting that even his own nights out have been marred. "My first reflex is -- checking an emergency exit." Adds Sabatier: "People get it. We are no longer living in an emergency situation, but still at the beginning of a long, substantive process. We know the menace is here to stay." (Billboard)

The Jason Bourne Trailer Is Finally Here and Matt Damon Is Not Messing Around. The wait is finally over movie buffs. After a few short sneak peeks on social media and one Super Bowl trailer, Universal Pictures is ready to release the first full-length trailer for Matt Damon's highly anticipated project Jason Bourne. In the film, Matt reprises his role as the former CIA operative who must deal with a whole new set of problems. After all, it's been eight years since he starred in Bourne Ultimatum. "Since 2007, so much has changed. There's been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyber warfare and civil liberties -- things that are slowly coming to into the zeitgeist as we start to grapple with what the future is going to look like," Matt revealed to Entertainment Weekly when teasing the film. "And so those are kind of somewhere in the stew of our story. If you look at the first three, they are films that are product of the Bush presidency. Thematically, they touch on things people were talking and thinking about during that presidency. This one feels like a movie about today." Filmed in major cities including Washington D.C., London and Greece, the movie could provide some closure for an unforgettable character that has developed quite a loyal fan base. "This is the completion of this journey that started in the Bourne Identity. It's part of the first three [movies], it's not a whole new chapter," he explained to the publication. "It feels like the conclusion, even though we're not saying it's the conclusion, it feels like the conclusion of my identity journey. It goes deeper than Ultimatum, basically." E! News was first to confirm that Matt was would be reprising his role as Jason Bourne while celebrating season four of Project Greenlight. "Yes, next year," he revealed to E! News' Will Marfuggi. "it'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes." The big-screen hit, which has earned millions and millions of dollars at the box office, was originally inspired by the novel series written by the late Robert Ludlum. Watch the finished product when Jason Bourne hits theatres everywhere July 29. (Eonline)
Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence Shared a Bottle of Wine Before Nervously Filming Passengers Sex Scene. Turns out, both Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence needed a little liquid courage before filming their first sex scene together. When it came time to film an intimate scene in the upcoming film Passengers, Lawrence knew she needed to do something to help shake the nerves, and when she suggested cracking open a bottle of wine, Pratt was more than happy to comply. "Aside from doing a great job and telling a story, your primary goal is to make the other person comfortable," Pratt, 36, told MTV. "She wanted to have some wine and so we did. That was nice." Lawrence, 25, previously admitted she got "really, really drunk," before filming the big scene. The actor also revealed that he didn't know Lawrence prior to filming Passengers-but it didn't take long for the two to start bonding on set. "We became fast friends and we bonded over a mutual love for Dumb and Dumber," he said. "Just like jokes, and life, and all of it." The sci-fi film follows two people, placed in a deep sleep, on a routine journey through space to their new home, but who are accidentally awakened too early. As they come to terms with living the rest of their life on a spaceship, they realize they are starting to fall for one another. The film hits theaters Dec. 21. (People)
Tom Cruise will probably not enjoy "American Psycho: The Musical," which opens Thursday at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. As in the novel the show is based on, Cruise is the butt of jokes. In Act 1, Benjamin Walker, as murderous Patrick Bateman, gets in his apartment building's elevator with a very short man -- played by an actor kneeling on his shoes, so as to appear quite petite -- and Walker says, "I loved you in 'Top Gun.'" In the laughing audience at a preview on Tuesday night was Vogue oracle Anna Wintour and her daughter Bee Shaffer, who must have particularly liked the song "You Are What You Wear," which includes the line "There's nothing ironic about our love of Manolo Blahnik." Also there was Huey Lewis, whose "Hip To Be Square" provides a rollicking dance number, and Ralph, who will star in director Rupert Goold's next production, "Richard III." (Page Six)
Sean Parker's Gag Order Addiction: Even Spielberg Had to Sign NDA at Screening Room Presentation. No matter what businessman Sean Parker is up to -- selling Hollywood on his controversial Screening Room or hosting a black-tie charity event -- he makes everyone sign a NDA. Sean Parker was passing out NDAs again, this time during a charity event at his Bel Air home April 13 to launch his Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. Before attending the black-tie gala -- and mingling with such power players as Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Bradley Cooper and CAA's Richard Lovett -- press and staff were required to sign nondisclosure agreements (and take selfies for security). It's unknown whether the stars did the same, but Parker hasn't been shy about asking: During the past many months, at various presentations for Screening Room -- his controversial proposal for a $50-a-month first-run home streaming service -- the Napster co-founder has asked folks including Steven Spielberg, Brian Grazer, J.J. Abrams and Ron Howard to sign NDAs (Christopher Nolan was one of the few who said no). Peter Jackson signed an NDA, but when THR bumped into him at Parker's charity event, he easily opened up about Screening Room. "Honestly, I kicked the tires so hard trying to pick every hole that I possibly could," he said. "I wanted to ensure in my mind it wasn't going to take people out of theaters and reduce attendance -- but it's going to increase it. It will energize audiences." The filmmaker went so far as to say that the industry really needs the new venture. "The same people who only went to the theater once or twice a year will now go three or four times a year because they will be watching more films at home, paying $50 at a time, but will be a part of the water cooler conversation at work," he continued. "It will get everyone talking about movies once again." (Hollywood Reporter)
Woody Allen's 'Cafe Society' to Open Seattle International Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere at Cannes, but its North American debut will be in Seattle. Woody Allen's latest film, Cafe Society, will be featured during the Opening Night Gala of the 2016 Seattle International Film Festival. Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell, Parker Posey and Blake Lively also star. "Woody Allen delivers a delightful, vibrant and entertaining tale that continues to expand his repertory of acting talent. Combining the power of SIFF, which boasts the largest audience of any film festival in the country, with an emerging Seattle-based film distribution powerhouse that firmly believes in the theatrical experience, along with one of our most acclaimed directors, is a perfect match," said festival director Carl Spence. Cafe Society will have its premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival in May. The film is being distributed by Amazon. The Seattle-based company has six titles at the festival, including Author: The JT LeRoy Story, The Dressmaker and Gleason. Tom Tykwer's adaptation of Dave Eggers' novel stars Hanks as "a representation of a certain generation of American businesspeople who are trapped in this complicated zone of being too old to start over and too young to retire." Tom Hanks says that King can hit close to home for American audiences. "There is a degree of authenticity to it that people can recognize," he told The Hollywood Reporter at the film's world premiere on Wednesday night at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, explaining that his character, Alan Clay, used to help run Schwinn Bicycles in its heyday, before they were manufactured in China. As he heads to the Middle East to pitch a hologram communications platform to the region's royalty, Hanks explained that "this guy is now in charge of trying to make the biggest sale of his life, because it might be the last sale of his life, in a place that's as confusing as Saudi Arabia and of technology he probably doesn't even understand. How many Americans are in that same boat: trying to make sense of a technology they don't understand, a cutthroat economic environment in a world in which the ground rules are not just shifting -- they're changing languages?" Yet it's not overtly political or money-minded, said Hanks, as Alan Clay's plight to avoid becoming obsolete also applies to his familial and romantic life. "In a lot of ways, it's just a movie about a guy who goes and meets some fun people and might fall in love or not. But [Alan's business pitch] is something that everybody can recognize, even though they don't have their finger on the pulse of Businessweek or The Wall Street Journal." Tom Tykwer adapted Dave Eggers' 2012 novel with Hanks in mind to star. "It's a tricky character, a representation of a certain generation of American businesspeople who are trapped in this complicated zone of being too old to start over and too young to retire. But because of the economic problems we're facing, they're not really needed much, it seems," said Tykwer, who cast Hanks in 2012's Cloud Atlas. "Tom can show this guy being difficult and trapped but still have [the audience] stay with him, because he brings in a sense of humor even in the darkest moments. He's both a comic and dramatic genius." After the world premiere screening, Hanks, Tykwer, Sarita Choudhury and Alexander Black discussed adding comical road-trip and rom-com moments to a bleak novel. "It seemed like a joyful film, but it's not ignoring the complexities of the place or the situations that these people are in," said the director, who managed the shoot amid stormy desert weather, broken-down car rigs and bubbly underwater kissing scenes -- while sharing a single shower. Telling hilarious anecdotes with the audience, Hanks said, "The great thing about making movies like this is you do have adventures." "I hope the movie is, in unexpected but satisfying terms, reminding us that we're all people," said Tykwer. "No matter where you travel, you'll be surprised how many people you can meet and deeply connect with. The world isn't as separated as it used to be. ... We're less different than we think." The giant-screen exhibitor beat an analyst estimate of earnings of 15 cents per share for its first quarter. Strong box-office grosses from Hollywood tentpoles like Deadpool and Batman v Superman helped Imax Corp. on Thursday to post a sharp increase in first-quarter revenue and earnings. And company execs told a morning analyst call that a combination of Hollywood tentpoles like The Jungle Book and Captain America: Civil War that appeal to families and fan boys promise strong box office from the 2016 slate. Imax reported net income of $12.2 million for the three months to March 31, up from a profit of $1.5 million in 2015. First-quarter revenue was $92.1 million, up 64 percent from a year-earlier $62.2 million. During the first quarter, Toronto-based Imax signed contracts for 36 theaters, of which all but one were for new locations, and geographically stretched to China, Japan and India as the giant screen exhibitor continues to expand worldwide. The strong quarterly performance was equally sustained by ticket receipts from Hollywood tentpoles. Global box office rose 64 percent to $272 million, with growth in both domestic and international box office. The average global box office per-screen for digitally re-mastered movies in the first quarter was $284,000, compared with $202,900 in the same period of 2015. "The pace of Imax theater signings, installations and box office growth, both domestically and globally, continues to drive real momentum in the business," Imax CEO Richard Gelfond said in a statement ahead of a morning conference call with analysts. Imax installed another seven theaters in China during the latest quarter, against five in the same period of 2015. Box office from the Imax China unit was $83.4 million in the first quarter, against a year-earlier $63 million, with the per-screen average virtually unchanged at $290,000. Gelfond told analysts of his continuing optimism for the fast-growing exhibition market in China, despite that country's continuing economic clouds. "While there have been understandable concerns raised about the broader Chinese economy, the cinema as an affordable form of entertainment remains very strong, and on track to pass the U.S. by 2017," he said. Imax has said it will continue its expansion in the Chinese market with the installation of 100 new screens in 2016. In 2015, the company installed a record 74 giant screens, bringing its country-wide network total to 307 theaters. On the film front, Gelfond said box office for the second quarter of 2016 is off to a good start, with The Jungle Book generating over $20 million in Imax theaters during its opening weekend, and "strong pre-sales activity" for Captain America: Civil War, which has around 30 minutes of footage shot with dedicated Imax cameras. Possible 2016 sleeper hits for Imax include Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad and Marvel's Doctor Strange, Greg Foster, CEO of Imax Entertainment, told analysts. Imax is also bullish about Clint Eastwood's Sully, the Miracle-on-the-Hudson biopic starring Tom Hanks as pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, and which was shot almost entirely with a dedicated Imax camera. Also on the technology front, Foster told analysts that his company would start employing Imax cameras to shoot local-language Chinese films within the next year. The adjusted earnings per share of 22 cents for the first quarter of 2016 beat an analyst estimate of 15 cents per share. The giant screen exhibitor predicted it will release around 44 digitally re-mastered movies in fiscal 2016, with titles like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Legend of Tarzan also on the slate. CBS announced on Thursday that Mrs. Obama will appear in the hit series' May 3 episode, which will air in conjunction with "Joining Forces," a nationwide initiative supporting service members, veterans and their families. Zac Efron Is Getting His Own MTV Documentary Special About Millennials. Zac Efron, reality star? Yes, it's actually happening. The actor is heading to the small screen as host and executive producer of a new documentary special for MTV about food and culture, the network announced Thursday. The as-yet-untitled show will see the Baywatch star, "an actor, traveler, and food-lover," investigate food's importance to Millennial culture and look beyond the "extravagant and obscure in food to explore the artistry, storytelling and journeys in what we eat, and the issues and experiences surrounding what we find on our plates." While that's not exactly the show we would have expected to be hosted and produced by Efron, we have zero complaints about this. We'd watch Zac Efron read us wordless Ikea manuals, so a show about food and culture is absolutely up our alley. MTV also announced a whole slew of new projects, including lots of shows about music! They include a weekly live music performance series called Wonderland, a music competition from Mark Burnett, an updated version of MTV Unplugged, a documentary series using archival footage that follows the breakthrough years of music superstars called Year One, and a project from Scooter Braun that pairs a famous artist and a mystery person to create a new song in just one day called Studio 24. On the scripted side, there's a dark dramedy about vigilantes avenging sexual assault victims on a college campus called Sweet/Vicious, a comedy about weed dealers in L.A. called Mary + Jane and a comedy loosely based on the life of Girl Code star Nicole Byer called Loosely Exactly Nicole. There are also reality shows in the works about families living on the edge of society (The Outsiders), a young fashion brand (Shinesty), a show that digs into the cases of the wrongly imprisoned (The Investigation), an aptly titled competition (Stranded With a Million Bucks) and a new game show based on a hit U.K. series (The Almost Impossible Game Show). Curt Schilling Fired From ESPN Over Anti-Transgender Comment on Facebook. Curt Schilling has gotten the cut. ESPN fired its analyst Wednesday after he posted a comment on Facebook that immediately drew criticism. The former All-Star pitcher appeared to respond to a meme that referenced North Carolina's law that bans transgender people from using bathrooms and locker rooms that don't correspond with their birth sex. The Facebook post that Schilling responded to showed an overweight man wearing a wig and T-shirt with cutouts to expose his breasts. "LET HIM IN! to the restroom with your daughter or else you're a narrow-minded, judgmental, unloving racist bigot who needs to die," the picture says. "A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don't care what they are, who they sleep with, men's room was designed for the penis, women's not so much," he wrote in the comments section of the post. "Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic." He later deleted the comment. "ESPN is an inclusive company," the sports network said in a statement. "Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated." This isn't the first time Schilling has gotten in trouble because of his social media presence. ESPN suspended him for a month after he compared radical Muslims to Nazis on Twitter. Wednesday morning Schilling gave an interview to radio station WEEI where he defended his actions. "To be in a place where people actually believe I'm a racist or I'm transphobic says to me that something has gone horribly askew somewhere," he explained to the hosts. "I replied to the post. I didn't post that." (Eonline)
Kelly Ripa may be saber-rattling -- boycotting the show and even threatening to leave -- but sources connected with the production don't believe she's going anywhere, because of her paycheck and her spending habits. As we reported, Kelly has been beside herself with anger after getting blindsided by ABC's announcement that Michael Strahan is leaving 'Live' for 'GMA.' If she's not back in the chair Thursday, she won't be back until Tuesday at the earliest. Our sources say ABC brass isn't worried that Ripa will bail on the show. We're told she makes just shy of $15 million a year, and her lifestyle eats up most of it. Kelly and hubby Mark bought a big townhouse on the Upper East Side of NYC a year ago, and they have a mansion in The Hamptons. As one source put it, "She makes a lot of money, but she spends a lot of money, and so does he." (TMZ)
Andy Cohen says he's way too busy to take Michael Strahan's seat on 'Live,' but he knows who's perfect for the job. Andy was leaving Bravo at around 1 AM when our photog asked him about rumors he was top of the list for the job. Andy explained why it's not in the cards, and then made a hard pitch for his good friend Anderson Cooper. (TMZ)
Banff Names Netflix's 'Making a Murderer' 2016 Program of the Year (Exclusive) Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, the filmmakers behind the buzzed-about docuseries, will give a master class in the Canadian Rockies. Netflix's landmark docuseries Making a Murderer will be feted at the Banff World Media Festival as the 2016 Program of the Year. Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, the creators of the popular series about Steven Avery, who had a rape conviction overturned before being convicted of murder, will be on hand to receive the award at the Banff Rockie Awards. Ricciardi and Demos will also give a master class in Banff on their 10-part series that has the factual TV world looking for their next true crime series. The creative duo may have news on a possible second season pickup by Netflix for the docuseries. The water-cooler effect of Making a Murderer resulted in tens of thousands of people calling for the reopening of the Teresa Halbach murder investigation that led to Avery's conviction, and even resulted in a petition to the White House for President Obama to pardon him. "Making A Murderer is one of those riveting programs that come around once in a lifetime," Ferne Cohen, the Banff festival executive director, said in a statement. Avery served 18 years in prison for sexual assault out of Manitowoc County, Wis., for which he was exonerated by DNA evidence in 2003. In 2005, Avery was convicted of the murder of 25-year-old Halbach. Avery's nephew, Brendan Dassey, was also convicted for the same murder. Dassey's lawyers argued his confession to authorities was coerced. The Netflix series, which premiered in December 2015, raises numerous questions on whether Avery committed the murder or was framed. The Banff World Media Festival is set to run from June 12-15 in the Canadian Rockies. (Hollywood Reporter)
Out with a bang! On the Wednesday, April 20, episode of Kocktails With Khloe -- the final airing of the canceled series -- Khloe Kardashian brought out the big guns. Guests included Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, a still-pregnant Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. Kim opened up by saying she's not much of "an alcohol girl," but agreed to try the drink of the night, an infused-vodka concoction. It turned out she liked it -- and that she was no longer breastfeeding (so alcohol was OK). "North West stopped that for me," she said with a smile about nursing Saint. "She would cry so much and try to pull him off of me." Kim then explained that North was so jealous of her breastfeeding brother that she stuck her milk box in her mother's bra and drank out of it while he nursed. Ultimately, North had a change of heart and said it was OK with her if Saint breastfed, but Kim said at that point, her milk was dried up. Kanye Is Pressuring Kim to Have More Kids. "I was so set with my two kids and happy with my life the way that it is, but Kanye has been mentioning it every single day lately for the past 10 days," she revealed. "I was like, 'Why is he doing this to me?'" she added with a laugh. "It would be a really dangerous environment for me if I were to get pregnant again," Kim said, prompting Khloe to ask if that meant she would have to have a surrogate. "I don't know. Why, are you offering?" Kim replied with a laugh. Kim Gained and Lost a Lot of Weight Having a Baby. Asked by her sister how much weight she gained during pregnancy, Kim confessed that she was clocking in at 190 pounds at the end. (For reference, she's 5-foot-3.) "I truly think I gained 30 pounds of beignets and donuts in the end," she said. "As I was eating it, I was like, 'You know what? I enjoy the challenge of losing weight.'" So she had that to look forward to, apparently. The extra padding didn't stick around long, though! She'd already lost 45 pounds since giving birth. The mother of two credited the Atkins diet with helping her lose the weight. Kim and Kanye Get Each Other's Consent Before Posting Things on Social Media. Circling back to Kim's recent nude bathroom selfie, Khloe noted that one thing she admired about her sister's marriage was that she and Kanye don't do anything without the other's consent. "You guys run things by each other," Khloe explained. "When Kanye does his Twitter rants or whatever, you guys run things by each other, and I think that's super cool." Kim smiled and said, "Sometimes." To be clear, that means sometimes they don't, or more specifically, sometimes Kanye doesn't. "Lately," she added. It was only one word, but it felt a little loaded (especially considering some of her better half's recent tirades). Kanye Is the Fun Dad While Kim Is the Mean Mom. OK, "fun dad" and "mean mom" isn't exactly how she phrased it, but that's pretty much what she meant. "I'm the one that has to discipline," she said. "Going into it, I was like, 'You're going to have to be the disciplinarian ... It's going to break my heart to say no.' And then once you're in it, no is my favorite word." Meanwhile, by her description, Kanye was allowing North to rule the roost while Kim was away. She did think Kanye might be different with Saint as he got older, however, but that remained to be seen. Still, Kanye helps out. "There are times where I just say to Kanye, 'I am overwhelmed,'" she explained. This ground was all covered before Kanye showed up. (He was fashionably late for the shoot.) When he did arrive, he got down and dirty ... with a container of mac 'n' cheese that had been chilling on the counter, that is. Kanye Thanks God for Kourtney and Also Thinks That He Can See the Future. Kanye appreciates that Kourtney Kardashian got Kim to start going to his recording studio. Plus, he thinks he can see the future. Asked by Khloe where he got his confidence from, Yeezy cited his grandfather and parents for "not having a slave mentality." He added, "So many people, what holds them back is that they don't see themselves in a higher position. It's like if somebody can see ghosts or something, and no one believed them, it's like how I feel I can see the future. I can see a better future for humanity." Since there was no natural transition from that, it was the perfect time for Chrissy and John to make their entrance. Chrissy Teigen Has Never Seen Selma. "I have never seen Selma," Chrissy randomly confessed before turning to her husband. "And that's the movie you won the Oscar for." Kanye said if he were in John's situation, he would have called up Kim's sister and asked them to please talk his wife "into doing wife-like things." John said he never called anyone because he prefers to text. Kanye then revealed that he got a phone because Kim married Kris Humphries. It actually didn't sound like that was a direct cause and effect, but he did admit that when he saw that Kim had tied the knot with Kris, he started sending her pictures of formerly cool basketball players who now wore their pants too high. Kanye Can't Say No to North. Confirming Kim's earlier claim that he was the lax parent, he explained, "I can't say no to anything." He loves his daughter so much, in fact, that he didn't even get upset when she flushed his iPhone (with every single rap he needed while working on Life of Pablo) down the toilet. Kim admitted she would have at least screamed. Chrissy said she lost a lot of her cookbook while she was in the process of writing, but the story wasn't nearly as dramatic. Then they got on the topic of meatloaf, and Kanye confessed that he basically always wants meatloaf. Kanye Had Mixed Feelings About Living With Kim's Mom. "Oh, you know, the black and white floors are really inspiring," the rapper laughed. "It helped me open up because I was such an introvert." (He was being sarcastic.) He did say their cohabitation with Kris Jenner strengthened his relationship with both the matriarch and with her boyfriend, Corey Gamble. "That's what was good about the exercise of staying with Kris," he said. Yes, he compared living with her mom to having to work out. "I'm really into the family vibes and stuff." He also added that he doesn't really want anyone's advice unless he has asked for it ... which no one could have possibly guessed! Also, Khloe said she thought he would make a great president. Oh, and Kim thinks Kanye "probably watches Japanese anime porn." (He said he does watch porn, but without the volume.) (US Weekly)
'Bones' Lawsuit: How a Hit TV Show Loses Money. An audit connected with a lawsuit filed in November by executive producer Barry Josephson reveals the show took in $518 million in just the first seven of its 11 seasons but lost nearly $45 million. It's the classic Hollywood story: a TV show becomes a worldwide hit yet somehow ends up in the red when it comes to its studio paying the show's creative team. Such is the case with Fox's Bones, which, according to a lawsuit filed in November by executive producer Barry Josephson, took in $518 million in just the first seven of its 11 (and counting) seasons but lost nearly $45 million. On April 18, a Los Angeles judge sent the case (as well as a similar complaint by stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel) to arbitration, but not before THR got its hands on an auditor's report. "As these numbers make abundantly clear, Fox's suggestion that Barry Josephson brought claims 'to attract headlines' is offensive and absurd," says his lawyer Dale Kinsella. "Mr. Josephson seeks redress for Fox's creative accounting." (Hollywood Reporter)
China Bans Rich Kids From Reality TV to Avoid Embarrassing State, Parents. The state censor took the decision after a number of controversial incidents involving the offspring of the country's super wealthy elite. China's state censor is banning the children of the rich and famous from appearing on reality TV shows, a move local critics believe is stop them from further embarrassing their parents and the government. China's state news agency Xinhua reported that the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPRFT) had announced a ban on the children of celebrities appearing on reality TV, with the new rules officially supposed to protect minors from being exploited by TV execs. Chinese social media began speculating that removing the spotlight from the lives of the super-rich, particularly their more carefree and fame hungry offspring was the sole purpose of the new regulations. In recent years, the children of wealthy businessman, actors and state officials have been embroiled in countless scandals involving illegal street racing of super cars, sex, drugs as well as overt shows of wealth on Instagram. These scandals as well as the flaunting of wealth fly in the face of President Xi Jingping's austerity drive, crackdown on graft as well as attempts to lessen the gap between the new super rich and ordinary Chinese. One of the most notorious rich kids is Wang Sicong, son of one of China's richest men Wang Jialin, chairman of Dalian Wanda the giant real estate to theme park conglomerate that also owns Hollywood studio Legendary and theater chain AMC. Wang Sicong caused controversy last year for posting a picture on Instagram of his dog wearing two gold Apple watches. The picture led to a thinly disguised rebuke in an op-ed posted on Xinhua that said there "are certain celebrities that recklessly disseminate vulgar information... from the worship of money to sex and violence." ESPN Fires Baseball Analyst Curt Schilling Over Anti-Transgender Post -- Get The Scoop! You'd think people would learn by now! Not everyone always uses the best judgement when it comes to posting things online and Curt Schilling's decision making skills were apparently piss poor which resulted in him being fired from ESPN! The former Major League pitcher and baseball analyst was reportedly fired by ESPN earlier this week over an extremely offensive anti-transgender post he made on Facebook. Oh no. But the athlete's disgustingness didn't stop there as he also commented on the image saying: Well obviously the network, which is owned by Disney, wasn't too happy with Mr. Schilling once they became aware of his comments and released a statement: "ESPN is an inclusive company. Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated." That was certainly straight to the point. LOLz! Though the former analyst has not released a statement of his own, he did write a blog post in which he addressed the situation saying: "This is likely the easiest way to address all of you out there who are just dying to be offended so you can create some sort of faux cause to rally behind. Let's make one thing clear right up front. If you get offended by ANYTHING in this post, that's your fault, all yours. This latest brew ha ha (sic) is beyond hilarious. I didn't post that ugly looking picture. I made a comment about the basic functionality of men's and women's restrooms, period." The former pitcher's son, Grant Schilling has also stepped up to bat for his father as he took to Facebook to share: Sadly, this isn't the first time that Curt has gotten into trouble due to his social media antics. Just last year, ESPN suspended him for a month after he made a comment on Twitter that compared Muslims to Nazis. Oof! (Perez Hilton)
