One of the last images of Prince ... happy, carefree, hair blowing in the wind on his bike. These photos were taken Monday ... 3 days before he died. The pics were taken by a woman who lives a mile down the road from Paisley Park. She says Prince was the picture of happiness, smiling as he cruised around the neighborhood. She says he was riding for at least an hour, and there was no sign of fatigue. Prince had been riding around in the days leading to his death. We've seen video of him last weekend riding in a shopping mall parking lot, waiting for his girlfriend. The singer seemed to seesaw in the days before his death. Sometimes he was agitated and in distress ... other times carefree and happy. (TMZ)

My makeup artist is backstage hating me," she joked while tearing up. "I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something." She continued, "I would like to apologize to my husband. This was not planned. I'm just so hormonal. Everything is great, I haven't vomited yet. That's a win y'all." Holly Robinson Peete Speaks Out After Wendy Williams Throws "Intentional Shade" at Her Family's Show. Holly Robinson Peete and Wendy Williams are ready to say it like they mean it. While all eyes have been on the drama surrounding Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on LIVE! With Kelly and Michael, there was a little "shade" thrown on the Wendy Williams Show Friday that has one star speaking out. During Friday's edition of Hot Topics, Wendy was discussing the rumors of Victoria Beckham and David Beckham possibly getting a reality show. She argued that it wasn't the best idea because the "bar has been set so high" and people "like to see dysfunction and fighting and discourse." She then brought up Holly's newest reality show titled For Peete's Sake. For better or for worse, Wendy may not be the biggest fan of the new series. "Holly, Rodney, You know I love you Peetes. I tried but I got to tell you something. There's no place on TV anywhere it seems for shows like this," she explained. "The bar has been risen. Ms. Peete is 80 years old, she's dating, she's cute but nobody cares." "Holly's got the cute kids with Rodney. They've been married forever, but I don't think people care," she continued. "That's sad for us, for TV watchers. Not for people who try to keep it together and be family and be good examples. That's all." After hearing of the discussion, Holly went to social media where she expressed how proud she was of her reality show featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network. "Dear @WendyWilliams #ForPeetesSake is resonating deeply esp w special needs #autism families. I know positivity isn't ur thing but it's OK," she tweeted. "If u think #ForPeetesSake's only abt cute kids n 80 yr mom dating then u didn't watch it. spraying #shade repellent on U." She cryptically added, "When negative people try to pointlessly attack your positivity it's only a sad commentary on their own inner darkness. Amen? #ForPeetesSake." Holly's BFF Leah Remini also decided to join the conversation on social media as the weekend started. @WendyWilliams oh no, no, no! We don't throw shade at my girl @hollyrpeete or her family. We.Dont.Do.IT ! #ForPeetesSake," she wrote. Holly replied, "Right I was the 'Original friend in her head.' Lol Smh unsolicited shade." Ultimately, the 21 Jump Street alum says the "intentional shade" by the Emmy-nominated talk-show host doesn't bother her. She just wants fans to experience her family's show for themselves when it airs Saturday nights. "We are so proud of #ForPeetesSake the feedback has been so overwhelmingly POSITIVE," she shared on Twitter. "Unfazed by the ww shade lol." (Eonline)
Amber Marchese Defends Husband Jim Marchese, Slams "Disgusting" Domestic Violence Reports. Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jim Marchese was arrested and charged for domestic violence Tuesday night, but his wife, Amber Marchese, tells E! News in a statement that the reports are false. "Domestic violence is not a joke, and having my husband be accused of such a heinous act is not only hurtful but damaging personally, emotionally and professionally. I would never let myself be a victim of anything or anyone," she tells E! News. "Jim and I were on our way back from LA on a 'red eye' after filming a new TV project. We were actually talking about hooking up and joining the 'mile high' club. Some heavy PDA was involved, just the opposite of what certain people reported they saw." The reality TV stars prepared to sit back, relax and enjoy the flight, but the situation would suddenly change. "After that brief bit of fun between us we prepared for takeoff and I ordered a glass of white wine. I was peacefully sipping my wine and Jim was sleeping when we were asked to leave the plane. Confused and scared our first thoughts were 'did something happen to our kids???' No explanations or answers were given to our questions and we were immediately separated," she continues. "All I wanted was my husband Jim so we could figure out what happened and how to help the authorities by answering any questions. All Jim wanted was to make sure I was ok. We asked why we're being removed from the plane. We complied with everyone involved from the flight attendant to the authorities." According to a statement from the Los Angeles airport's police, officers were called to Terminal 3 after an incident arose inside the aircraft. "At the request of officers, a male suspect and a female victim left the aircraft," the police told E! News at the time. "Additional questioning revealed the suspect had grabbed the victim by the throat and made threats against her. Suspect James Marchese was arrested and transported to LAPD Pacific Division where he was booked." But Amber tells us she did not file the complaint of domestic violence. "Through this entire stressful situation my husband was nothing but a gentleman and never once lost his composure. To be crystal clear there was no complaint of domestic violence, signs of distress or request for assistance made by myself and there was no wrong doing by my husband. At no time did my husband ever choke me or threaten me in any way shape or form," she clarifies, adding that her marriage has always been relatively smooth. "Jim and I have been married for 10 years and he has always treated me like gold and we have a beautiful relationship and a wonderful life. Every relationship has flaws and we are not perfect BUT these reports are undeniably false and disgusting." The 46-year-old lawyer was charged with domestic violence and released on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled back in court on May 11. (Eonline)

Two days after the legendary singer was found dead inside his Minnesota home, E! News can confirm that the Grammy winner's body has been cremated. "A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved: family, friends and his musicians, in a private, beautiful ceremony to say a loving goodbye," his rep said in a statement to E! News. "Prince's remains have been cremated and their final storage will remain private. We ask for your blessings and prayers of comfort for his family and close friends at this time." The statement concluded, "The cause of death remains unknown and it will be at least four weeks before we receive the results of the autopsy. An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration." Several friends and family members including Prince's sister Tyka Nelson gathered at Paisley Park Saturday afternoon to pay their respects. Sheila E, Judith Hill, Larry Graham and Chanhassen Mayor Denny Laufenburger were just some of the guests spotted attending. Earlier in the day, a source spotted workers delivering wreaths and other arrangements of flowers, including purple roses and larkspur. An organic food van was also seen parked outside. "I appreciate the support, love and all the hugs," Larry shared with fans outside the studios. "We appreciate that. And I know that Sheila feels the same way that I feel, that Prince made us all a better musician. Spiritually is the most important thing, he was a very spiritual man. But as a musician, he pushed is he made us better and so we miss him deeply." Sheila added, "Thank you guys very much," Sheila E told the fans. "Thank you for being here. We appreciate it." As friends and fans continue to mourn, the Midwest Medical Examiner's office confirmed on Friday that an autopsy was performed on Prince. Results and answers may not be available for "several weeks." Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Prince's family and friends. (Eonline)
WWE Star Chyna Was Prescribed Various Medication Prior to Her Death. The details surrounding Chyna's death continue to be a mystery, but E! News learns the late WWE star was prescribed various medication prior to her untimely death. According to her manager, Anthony Anzaldo, the late wrestling icon (real name Joanie Laurer) was taking prescription drugs, including sleeping medication and medication for anxiety. However, he made sure to note that they were legally prescribed by a doctor and pharmacists. The coroner's office is investigating all aspects of the time and cause of death. Although Chyna herself said she was in a "good place" prior to her passing, Anzaldo tells E! News she was also very "emotional." "It's been very emotional for her these past few months. She was shooting her documentary and at times it was stressful. But she was doing OK. She was doing yoga and a lot of amazing things." On Sunday, just a few days before she was found dead, Chyna shared a strange and slightly ominous video. Though she continues to express how "lucky" she feels, there's a palpable sadness in her tone and facial expressions. She slurs her words as she makes a smoothie, stringing together little tangents throughout the 13-minute video. She then spent the following day sharing a collection of old photos, reminiscing on memories with her different pals from WWE and saying how much she misses everyone. An official statement was released on her Twitter account last night that read: "It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer, AKA Chyna, the 9th Wonder of the World has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her." Anzaldo tells E! News a memorial will be planned in Los Angeles, but the date is yet to be determined. It will be a "big, big, big deal. Pulling out all the stops," according to her manager, and will be open to family, friends and fans. (Eonline)
Chyna's death could benefit the health of future athletes by donating her brain to doctors studying the consequences of concussions and WWE wrestlers. In an interview with the NY Daily News, Chyna's longtime friend and manager Anthony Anzaldo says the wrestler was contacted months ago about joining a brain injury lawsuit against the WWE. Anzaldo says Chyna wasn't interested in the suit ... but thought the science behind it was interesting. He says shortly after her death, he got a call about donating her brain to the study. Anzaldo says he's working with Chyna's family to allow the coroner to release her brain to the docs. And get this ... Anzaldo says the same guy carrying out the brain study is Dr. Omalu ... the dude played by Will Smith in "Concussion." We spoke to John Cena earlier this month in Beverly Hills who said he'd be all for donating his brain if it helped others. (TMZ)

Kate Middleton, Prince William & Prince Harry Wear Teal Headbands in Heartwarming Mental Health PSA. Kate Middleton, husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry are banding together for a great cause. The three are spearheading a new campaign titled "Heads Together," in partnership with several charities, in a bid to eliminate stigmas of mental health. In a heartwarming PSA released Sunday, the royals appear with several other people, including children, and wear matching teal headbands that read #HeadsTogether. The other adult stars sport the same, as well as teal jerseys, and run together to promote the cause. Kate, William and Harry clap as they reach their destination. "Mental health is just as important as physical health," Kate says. "We can all play our part by talking and listening to each other and helping each other find support," Harry adds. The prince is also seen laughing and snapping a photo of his brother with a phone. "Let's get our heads together and change the conversation on mental health," William says. The three are also shown laughing and joking around as they pose for photos. "Can we do a serious one?" Harry asks. "Do a serious one?" William echoes. The three then pose, unsmiling, although Kate cannot contain her laughter, which causes her husband to burst into a a hearty one himself. "No, serious, this is a serious one," he says. "Guys, serious one." This marks the "biggest single project Their Royal Highnesses have undertaken together," Kensington Palace said in a statement obtained by E! News. "The Heads Together campaign aims to change the national conversation on mental well-being and will be a partnership with inspiring charities with decades of experience in tackling stigma, raising awareness, and providing vital help for people with mental health challenges," the statement read. Kate, William and Harry have promoted similar causes before. In February, the duchess appeared with children in a PSA for Mental Health Week 2016. In March, she and William met with a man who once attempted suicide as part of their participation in efforts to promote mental health care awareness. Harry, who served in the British military in Afghanistan, has also spoken out about the stigmas of mental health, especially with regard to veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Lauren Conrad Unveils Kohl's Collection Inspired by Disney's Alice in Wonderland and It's So Cute We're Going Mad. In a way, Lauren Conrad is painting the roses red -- not pink, not green, not aquamarine. But we can't imagine the Queen of Hearts will be shouting "Off with her head!" after she sees Disney's Alice in Wonderland, a Collection by LC Lauren Conrad, available exclusively at Kohl's. In stores Apr. 25, Conrad's adorable and affordable capsule features nearly 20 pieces, all priced between $36 and $68. Disney opened its archives to Conrad when she was getting ready to design the line, and down the rabbit hole she went. "I was really, really excited about this. From day one when they said we get to work with Disney, I was like, 'Tell me we get to do Alice in Wonderland!'" she tells E! News' Catt Sadler exclusively. "They sent us all this original artwork. I'm a little bit of a Disney nerd, so it's really cool for me because I get to see where these characters come from. Seeing the initial sketches and the transom ratio, it's really cool. I feel spoiled that I get to look at it all." Conrad incorporated elements from the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and other characters from 1951's animated classic. "The books and the movies are actually a little dark," she says, "so we wanted it to be a softer version." This wasn't Conrad's first deal with the House of Mouse, of course. The fashion mogul previously created capsules for Bambi, Cinderella and Minnie Mouse, and she is already hard at work on her next top-secret Disney collaboration. Conrad's collection comes arrives ahead of Walt Disney Pictures' Alice Through the Looking Glass, out May 27. The live-action adventure stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska. (Eonline)
Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton Steal the Fashion Show During Kensington Palace Dinner. Guess who's coming to dinner! Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry are hosting President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for dinner at Kensington Palace Friday night. The Duchess of Cambridge welcomed the First Family while wearing the L.K. Bennett London Addison jewel-toned printed silk dress, which retails for $525. America's First Lady arrived wearing a beige top and skirt, which she paired with a nude overcoat. Before everyone sat down for a royal dinner, everyone sat down for some light conversation. This is hardly the first time the British royalty and First Family have met up, as Prince William visited the president in the Oval Office in December 2014 prior to the arrival of his daughter Princess Charlotte. Kate and Wills had kicked off their great American tour, visiting Washington, D.C., as well as New York City. Prince William and President Obama exchanged laughs and some chitchat while posing for photos, briefly mentioning the prince's unborn daughter. "It's going to be interesting," the prince was overheard telling the president, adding that it's bound to be a "busy year next year." Both families met up again in France in June 2014, where they honored the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles also attended the historical event. Obama and Prince Charles were all smiles while greeting each other and shaking hands as Charles' wife, Camilla, watched on. Prince Charles and Camilla visited the Obamas in the Oval Office in March 2015, but they traveled without Prince William and Kate Middleton. "I think it's fair to say that the American people are quite fond of the royal family," Obama said, per reports of their Oval Office chat. "They like them much better than they like their own politicians." The prez has some jokes! (or was he kidding...?). But Charles didn't know what to say in return, so he simply replied, "I don't believe that." Now the Obamas have made their way across the pond, stopping by the palace to enjoy a nice meal. Seeing as Kate and Prince William just returned from a weeklong trip to India and Bhutan, we're sure they're looking forward to relaxing at their own home. (Eonline)
Exes Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck Reunite for Family Breakfast With Son Samuel. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner always said their three children are their main priority, despite their decision to divorce, and they are holding true to that promise. The two exes were spotted reuniting at the Country Mart in Brentwood, Calif., for some breakfast with their 4-year-old son Samuel. "Jen left at 7:45 a.m. with the three kids. She dropped the girls off and then took off with Samuel and stopped at the Country Mart," a source tells E! News. "When she was in the parking lot, Ben was waiting there for her. They left together in her car and headed towards Samuel's school. They were at the school for awhile. They may have had a meeting." The insider adds, "They were together and looked like a happy family all over again. It's hard to think of them as separated." While it's also nice to see Ben and Jen being amicable with each other, the casually clad pair's reunion paled in comparison to the image of their adorable boy. Samuel -- who was decked out in denim, a checkered button-up and suspenders (!) -- was spotted smiling from ear-to-ear, presumably thanks to spending time with both of his famous parents and that big bag of cookies he was holding. Sam and his famous mama were later joined by his older siblings, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, where they were seen joyfully skipping down the street after school. Last month, Affleck praised Garner when it comes to her nurturing skills, and said he takes her lead when it comes to parenting. "I am a giant fan of Jennifer," Affleck said on CBS This Morning. "She's just a fabulous person. She's just a wonderful person. She's a great mother. She's a real talent." "Life doesn't always turn out exactly the way you want," he said. "We're doing our very best and we're putting our kids first and that's how we're focusing on our day to day lives and we don't know what the future's gonna hold, but each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children and everything else comes second. And she's just so good at doing that and has set such a good example and a lead that I follow. She's somebody that I admire and respect and remain excellent friends with." (Eonline)
Caitlyn Jenner Weighs in on Public Bathrooms Debate and Anti-LGBT Laws. Caitlyn Jenner got political Friday as she addressed an issue close to her heart and those of the rest of the LGBT community and their supporters. The 66-year-old star of E!'s I Am Cait and Olympian came out as a transgender woman last year. In March, North Carolina became the first state to bar transgender people from using public restrooms that do not match the sex assigned to them at birth. The ban has spurred bands such as Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam to cancel concerts in North Carolina and for major businesses such as PayPal to cancel planned projects there. A similar law in Mississippi, also signed this month, allows employers to cite religion when determining policies on bathroom access and dress codes. The measures have sparked debate about the privacy and safety of both transgender and non-transgender patrons of public and work restrooms. "We all want safety and privacy in public bathrooms," Caitlyn wrote on her website. "But these anti-LGBT bills, like the ones in North Carolina and Mississippi, actually make us less safe, not more safe. They open the door to abuse, aggressive and confrontational behavior in bathrooms, and encourage strangers to demand that women and girls prove that they are actually female in order to use the restroom. No one wants that." "If one of these harmful bills is introduced in your city or state, please take a moment and listen to the stories of actual transgender people who live near you," she added. "Let's help their voices are heard over the fear mongering from the other side." North Carolina is one of more than a dozen states that have considered or are currently considering similar anti-transgender laws. Caitlyn noted that other bills and policies regarding LGBT rights are also being debated in Tennessee, South Carolina and Kansas, which like North Carolina and Mississippi, are also traditionally mostly Republican states, as well as in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Washington state. "I've spent a lot of time thinking about what kind of message these harmful bills send, especially to transgender youth growing up in these states," Caitlyn said. Other states are taking the opposite approach: The mostly Democratic Massachusetts Senate plans to vote on a bill that would prohibit public discrimination against transgender people. "We need more bills like the one in Massachusetts -- bills which ensure that every transgender person, no matter what state they're growing up in, can go to school safely and get the education they deserve," Caitlyn said. "We need to make sure they can put that education to good use by getting a job and making a living for themselves and supporting their families. We need to make sure they can buy a home and go out to a restaurant or a movie theater without facing harassment." "And yes, we need to make sure those trans kids -- and all transgender people -- can use the restrooms that align with how they live every day," she added. (Eonline)
LOL at These Words That Just Made It Into the Dictionary. In ten years we might not even think twice about these, but for now, they're pretty hilarious. ICYMI, Merriam-Webster went nuts and added some very of-the-moment words to their dictionary. 'ICYMI' happens to be one of them, along with 'FOMO' and 'TMI' to a name a few. According to TechCrunch, Merriam-Webster says they have added over 1,400 words including 'athleisure' (think: Ivy Park), 'revenge porn' and 'hella.' In regards to how these words are chosen, Merriam-Webster's website says, "The new entries and senses offer a kind of snapshot of how exactly our language expands. It doesn't happen quickly -- we monitored many of these words for years before they'd met our criteria for entry -- and it's pushed by various fields and endeavors." Others include 'wacky tobacky' (as in that phrase our parents use to describe marijuana), 'microbead' and, perhaps the most relatable, 'nomophobia,' or fear of being without a cell phone. Laugh it up, people. We did this to ourselves. Only a few short years ago in 2011, people were flipping out over new dictionary additions like 'cougar' and, believe it or not, 'social media.' The Daily Texan also mentions, around that same time, the Oxford English Dictionary added 'tweet,' 'retweet' and 'sext' to their books. My, how far we've come. (Eonline)
Hillary Clinton's press corp might wanna grab some latex -- gloves that is -- 'cause the private plane on which they're riding belongs to Dan Bilzerian, famous for his Playboy-esque parties in the sky. Check it out ... the dirty bird appears in episode 11 of Showtime's "The Circus" with political strategist Mark McKinnon grumbling the press doesn't ride on the same plane as Hillary. Now we know why. (TMZ)

Beyonce Premieres Brand-New Music on HBO's Lemonade Special as New Album Drops on Tidal. Remain calm Beyhive! After so much suspense, anticipation and questions, fans of Beyonce were treated to the ultimate gift Saturday evening. Turns out her HBO special titled Lemonade was filled with new songs and music videos from her upcoming album. And yes, Lemonade the Visual Album's 12 songs are available right now on Tidal. The singer's sixth studio album is described as "a conceptual project based on every woman's journey of self-knowledge and healing." That message was on display during the HBO special, which will air again Sunday evening. The singer started things off by introducing "Intuition," an R&B jam that featured dancers dressed in looks similar to outfits worn at Solange Knowles' wedding. Things then took a sassy turn when she shared a sneak preview of "Denial." With a baseball bat in her hand, Bey wasn't afraid to belt it out as she took out some rage on a few unknown men. "Hold up, they don't love you like I love you," she sang while swinging at store windows and car doors. "Slow down, they don't love you like I love you." The Weeknd made a surprise appearance on the track "Emptiness" that featured close friend Serena Williams dancing nearby. Perhaps that's why the athlete was so excited minutes before the episode premiere. "A birdie wants me to tell you all you EVERYONE to tune in," she explained on Instagram. "I have a feeling it will be AMAZING.... Trust me..." In a later track titled "Reformation," Beyonce briefly appeared at a giant football stadium where she previously performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. As for husband Jay Z, he made a quick cameo in "Forgiveness" where he shared a kiss with his leading lady. If the album wasn't emotional enough, Beyonce surprised fans when she played parts of the video for "Resurrection." The mothers of the late Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown appeared on-screen with pictures of their sons. Winnie Harlow and Amandla Stenberg would later make appearances in the video for "Hope." Things ended on a high note, however, in the video for "Redemption" where fans witnessed throwback clips of the family. From Bey and Jay getting their "IV" tattoos to Tina Knowles Lawson and her new husband Richard Lawson kissing, all signs pointed to a happy and united group. It's been nothing short of a few exciting months for Queen Bey. In addition to recently launching her Ivy Park clothing line, the "Crazy in Love" singer sold out more than a few venues across the country when she announced her Formation Tour. In fact, the world tour will kick off in North America in less than a week on April 27 at Miami's Marlins Park. Until then, we're going to soak up each and every minute of this Lemonade special. Elton John paid his respects to Prince in front of a sold-out Caesars Palace crowd Saturday night. Elton paused his 'Million Dollar Piano' show midway to talk about the singer. During his chat, Elton called Prince a "Purple Warrior" and mentioned how the singer was truly one of a kind. Elton also shared a story about when he and Prince both had Vegas shows ... he said he'd often see Prince in their hotel lobby getting home from the clubs just as Elton would start his day. The singer then went into "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" with a Prince slideshow in the background. Watch the clip, it's pretty clear to tell Prince had a special place in Elton's life. A Prince and Madonna joint tour would have been a match made in musical heaven. In an Instagram tribute to the late star on Thursday, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary shared how he almost got the project lifted off the ground. "I pitched it to Madonna and within a second she said 'I like it, we can call it the Royalty Tour ... The Queen and The Prince,'" Oseary recalled. "I love the way she thinks. When I told prince the idea he said: 'The world isn't ready for this, it's too big.'" Although the idea never came to fruition, Oseary remained hopeful. "I always felt like one day I would pull it off," he added. After working together on a New Year's Eve concert in St. Barths, Oseary remains devoted to Prince. "And even in his passing I'm here to help," he said. "I would have done anything I could and wish I achieved more for him on his very clear issues. The man had the strongest of opinions on contracts and on artists' rights." "He changed the world!! A true visionary. What a loss. I'm devastated," Madonna said in an Instagram tribute after Prince's passing. (Page Six)
Blake Shelton has opened up about his "very personal" duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani and is so proud of the song, he thinks it could be his best ever! Talking to Entertainment Tonight at The Voice's Karaoke for Charity event on Thursday, April 21, the country singer was finally ready to give fans some details about the mystery song we've all been desperate to hear about! "We finally got a mock-up of the album, what the artwork was going to look like. And we flip it over and it has all the songs. I said, 'You know what? Take a picture of that and tweet it,'" Shelton told the outlet, explaining how it came about that Stefani was the one to first reveal his track names online. "It'll be our way to announce that yes, we have a duet together." And Shelton, 39, revealed that Stefani, 46, doesn't just lend her voice to the song: She actually collaborated with him in writing the track -- something that was pretty new to Shelton. "[The song] is very personal for us both because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together," he gushed. "The fact that we wrote a song together ... I know that I don't co-write that much because I'm very insecure about it, I guess, and Stefani's] kind of got her circle of people that she writes with. But for us to reach out to each other as writers, it may never happen again. Who knows." Shelton described the track, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," as a "full-blown duet" and revealed he's totally delighted with the result. "I hesitate to brag on it too much but I really think that it's as good of a song as I've ever written in my life," he added. Shelton's album If I'm Honest hits stores on May 20. (US Weekly)
Bruce Springsteen caught a wave in Baltimore to celebrate the 35th anniversary of his classic album "The River." Bruce & the E Street Band treated the Royal Farms Arena to a four-hour marathon, playing "The River" in its entirety and a ton of other hits. Fans showed their gratitude by giving Bruce major props ... passing him around for a crowd surfing sesh. That's more than a little of that Human Touch. (TMZ)
Coachella or Passover? Matzahchella Lets You Do Both. From one desert to another -- 3,500 years later. Coachella's second weekend (April 22-24) for many Jewish people presents something of a dilemma: either draw your Bubby's ire by blowing off her Passover Seder and matzah ball soup or drown your FOMO in bitter herbs and gelatinous gefilte fish while LCD Soundsystem, Guns N' Roses and Sia blow up the desert festival. Thanks to a rabbi and a rapper, however, you may not have to make that tortured decision. "We'll be doing ten-minute Seders and distributing matzah through one of the Jewish artists who we work with a lot, Kosha Dillz," says Rabbi Yonah Bookstein, who runs the Shabbat Tent, a structure that's been providing spiritual and social comfort at music festivals to Jew and gentile alike over the past 16 years. Like manna from heaven, the Shabbat Tent at this year's Coachella is presenting Matzahchella, a 10-minute Passover Seder which will happen roughly every hour on both Friday and Saturday nights at a tent situated in the car camping area just past Coachella's iconic Ferris wheel. Here, the youngest participant can ask the ceremonial four questions while all partake in the Seder plate, which includes Osem matzah (i.e. bland unleavened bread) charoset (a sweet mix of fruits and nuts), maror (a spicy horseradish mixture) and a lamb shank bone as well as Manischevitz grape juice. "Myself and another artist named named Tesha from Israel are running the Seders," says Kosha Dillz (a.k.a. Rami Even-Esh), 35, whose new album What I Do All Day and Pickle is being self-released on his own Oy-Vey! Records. The rapper has led similar Seders at Murs' Paid Dues Festival and is planning to drive back to Los Angeles on Saturday to perform at Broke L.A. (formerly Brokechella), where he'll lead another Seder before returning to Coachella that night. (Check out his Passover mix here.) The Matzahchella Facebook event page will have updated information on the Passover celebrations at Coachella. The genesis for this year's Genesis story at Coachella began sixteen years ago at one of holiest of holy music moments: Phish's millennial festival at the Big Cypress Native American Reservation in South Florida where the Shabbat Tent made its first appearance. The structure has since been erected at every Phish festival as well as at music fests like Bonnaroo, Langerado, High Sierra and the Gathering of the Vibes. "We create an oasis of chill in the midst of the craziness of music festivals," says the rabbi, who runs the L.A.'s Pico Shul and is the rabbi at the University of Southern California Hillel. "People can come connect, relax, hydrate, charge their phone if we have power, that kind of thing -- it's really a service and place for all festival goers." The makeshift synagogue's stature has grown over the years with sponsors that now include the Alevy Family Foundation, Friedman-French Foundation and David Schwartz and Family. In 2007, with the support of Matisyahu, the Shabbat Tent was able to mount a large-scale 1,600 square foot tent at the Langerado festival and feed more than 300 people. It should be noted that the Shabbat Tent, with its guy lines and stakes, is not an official part of Coachella and is staffed entirely by "volunteers, people who love music and Shabbat," the rabbi says. As far as artists coming by the tent, the rabbi says they've had no such luck with any members of Phish, but Alex Clare was supposed to come there once -- but there were technical difficulties with his set, so they brought food to him. When asked if Slash* had come by, the rabbi was unequivocal: "No, but he definitely should." (Billboard)
Justin Bieber Angers Prince Fans With Instagram Comment After Singer's Death. Justin Bieber sparked the wrath of scores of Prince fans when he posted on Instagram a remark about the late singer many deemed insensitive. The 22-year-old singer, who wasn't even born when the pop icon achieved worldwide fame with hits such as "Purple Rain" and "Kiss," had commented on a tribute post by musician and former California Breed guitarist Andrew Watt. He had called Prince, who died at age 57 Thursday, "the last of the greatest living performers." "Well not the last greatest living performer," read a comment posted from Bieber's account, which many people screen-grabbed and posted elsewhere on social media. Angry Prince fans immediately responded to the pop singer. "@justinbieber's comments were tasteless, disrespectful and lacked sensitivity and proof once again that Bieber needed to spend more time in a classroom or any learning environment that socializes you to others," one person wrote. "@justinbieber, you're such a disrespectful a--hole!!!" another user said. "You'll NEVER be a legend like Prince." Some defended Bieber. "Damn, you don't even know if he was directing it towards himself or not," another person wrote. "Give the kid a break." And some agreed with him. "Not the right time to say this but @justinbieber is right!" one user said. Bieber has not commented on Prince on his own page, unlike many celebs, including fellow popular singers and musicians such as Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who called the late star "one of the most unique and exciting artists of the last 30 years." Carrie Underwood & Blake Shelton Cross to Christian Charts. Country stars Carrie Underwood and Blake make notable moves this week on Billboard's Christian music rankings. American Idol 2005 champ Underwood returned to help close out the Fox series' 15-season run April 7 with an emotional performance of her 2014 hit "Something in the Water." In the tracking week following the appearance (ending April 14), the song gained by 108 percent to 12,000 sold, according to Nielsen Music, and vaults 5-1 on Christian Digital Songs. The ballad spends its 23rd week at No. 1 on the list, and first since March 28, 2015; it debuted at No. 1 on Oct. 18, 2014, and has sold 1.1 million to date. "Something," which Underwood co-wrote, logged 26 weeks atop Hot Christian Songs in 2014-15. Only Hillsong United's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" has spent more time at No. 1: 61 weeks. Also on Hot Christian Songs, another core country artist, Shelton, makes his first appearance. Shelton's hymn-like "Savior's Shadow," from his album If I'm Honest (May 20), bows at No. 17. Selling 7,000 in its opening week, it arrives on Christian Digital Songs at No. 4 (and Country Digital Songs at No. 43). ON THE MOVE: 7eventh Time Down strides into the Hot Christian Songs top 10 with "God Is On the Move" (13-10), the rock band's second top 10, following 2013's No. 9-peaking "Just Say Jesus." LEADING OFF: Todd Dulaney achieves his first No. 1 on Gospel Airplay with "The Anthem" (2-1). The singer-songwriter was a minor league baseball player in the New York Mets farm system in 2003-04 but retired in 2005 to take a swing at musical hits instead. (Billboard)
A Seat Inside Prince's Final Concert: "A Once in a Lifetime Experience." For fans, Prince's final concert in Atlanta seemed to be just another stop on his current tour. In hindsight, it would be the musical legend's final moments on stage. He took a seat at his piano only a week ago in Georgia as part of his surprise Piano and a Microphone series. Sadly, it was the last time fans would see the star publicly as he was rushed to the hospital after an emergency landing the following day and was discovered dead a week later. As one concertgoer reflected on the performance, he told E! News there were few signs that something was awry. "He was super engaging with the crowd. [He] played a 90 minute set, only leaving stage once and killing all the favorites. Everyone talked about how good he looked and how he really set the mood in the room," the eyewitness described. It was the best of the legend's discography as he performed hit after hit including "Kiss" and his unforgettable "Purple Rain." As a bit of foreshadowing, the star was also courteous to his fans after having to push the show back. "He was super apologetic about having to reschedule the show from a week prior and promising to make it up to the crowd," the eyewitness added. "[It] was truly a once in a lifetime experience." The 57-year-old was discovered at his Paisley Park estate and studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota Thursday. The Carver County Sheriff's Office said in a statement to E! News that police found Prince unresponsive in an elevator inside the property. First responders were unable to revive him through CPR. He was pronounced dead just after 10 a.m. (Eonline)
Inside Prince's Paisley Park Home: The Musical Safe Haven Where the Late Legend Passed Away. If the walls of Paisley Park Studios could talk... Prince, one of the few stars who managed to find a balance between being an iconic entertainer and being reclusive, arguably spent most of his time tucked away in his famous musical getaway, Paisley Park Studios, which would ultimately become where the beloved artist took his last breath. The 57-year-old's estate and studio in Chanhassen, Minn., was the perfect illustration of the age-old metaphor, "Don't judge a book by its cover." Or in this case -- don't judge a property by its exterior. Designed by architecture firm BOTO Design Inc, of Santa Monica, Calif., the studios, which was completed in 1988, was once described as looking like "a branch of Ikea," or even "a prison." Sports reporter Brian Sherriffe recalled a party he attended at Paisley Park Studios back in 1994, and admitted his first impression was that it resembled a jail. "Big gray building, no windows anywhere to be seen," he said. (Aside from the large glass pyramid on top of the facility that glowed purple whenever he was in the building.) However, like all truly beautiful things, the magic was on the inside. Sherriffe continued, "When we get inside, I can only describe this place as some type of museum. All kinds of recording studios, theme rooms." The interior of the 65,000 square-foot, $10 million complex was like a dream, grandiose and luxurious in its own way, drowning in bright colors and eclectic art. "It looks almost exactly like you'd imagine a huge recording complex owned by Prince would look. There is a lot of purple," The Guardian once reported. "The symbol that represented Prince's name for most of the 90s is everywhere: hanging from the ceiling, painted on speakers and the studio's mixing desks, illuminating one room in the form of a neon sign. "There is something called the Galaxy Room, apparently intended for meditation: it is illuminated entirely by ultraviolet lights and has paintings of planets on the walls. There are murals depicting the studio's owner, never a man exactly crippled by modesty." However, there was modesty when it came to flaunting his musical accolades. Regardless of being a Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar winner, Prince chose to keep his trophies hidden. A 1990 article from Time stated that Prince "keeps his various awards, including those for his four gold and eight platinum albums, locked in a basement room. But next to it, almost like tablets in a tabernacle, are tapes of an estimated 100 unreleased songs, plus two complete albums." The lingering question here is whether or not fans will ever get a chance to hear his unreleased music. Meanwhile, a later Times article states that Prince's office featured stained glass doors and a wall elsewhere featured a highly-placed illustration of his eyes with a "godlike sunburst" beaming from in between them. The article continued to note that Paisley Park Studios, which showed a loss after its first two years, began to thrive. "The sound stage has been used for everything from rock videos to Hormel chili commercials. The recording studios are state-of-the-art, and so too, in its way, is Prince's private office, which features three beds (king, round, day), one mirror (over the king), sofas, chairs and a desk -- all built large-scale." After 1987, Prince recorded nearly 30 albums at Paisley Park, a place that will always be remembered as his musical safe haven and his home. (Eonline)
M.I.A. Clarifies Comments on Beyonce, Black Lives Matter Movement. In a recent interview with ES magazine, eclectic musicmaker M.I.A. tackled various topics like Kanye West's advice to her 10 years ago ("Whatever you do, don't date people, don't get pregnant, don't fall in love. Love is like cancer") and being a mom ("I'm not very good at being a mother"). When asked if the "Borders" rapper/singer had seen Beyonce's Super Bowl performance of her empowering anthem "Formation," the former SB performer herself -- M.I.A. landed in a hefty multi-million dollar legal battle with the NFL for flipping the finger during her set at 2012's Super Bowl XLVI -- offered her thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement. "It's interesting that in America the problem you're allowed to talk about is Black Lives Matter. It's not a new thing to me -- it's what Lauryn Hill was saying in the 1990s, or Public Enemy in the 1980s," she said. "Is Beyonce or Kendrick Lamar going to say Muslim Lives Matter? Or Syrian Lives Matter? Or this kid in Pakistan matters? That's a more interesting question. And you cannot ask it on a song that's on Apple, you cannot ask it on an American TV program, you cannot create that tag on Twitter, Michelle Obama is not going to hump you back." After her comments appeared to rub the Internet the wrong way, the Sri Lankan rhymer took to Twitter to clarify her comments on Thursday morning (April 21). "My question was, on American platforms what do they allow you to stand up for in 2016. This has been the number 1 question for me," she tweeted. "A#blacklivesmatter B#Muslimlivesmatter. I'm not Muslim. My criticism wasn't about Beyonce. It's how u can say A not B right now in 2016." Billboard has reached out to a rep for M.I.A. for additional comment. (Billboard)
Those in radio recall an icon who contributed "one of the greatest musical careers in modern history." The news of Prince's death April 21 caused a wave of remembrance from those in the music industry, along with fans worldwide. Stations across the country honored the pop and R&B icon by playing his music and taking calls from listeners who shared their sorrow. Notably, with most of Prince's discography not available through most popular streaming services, including Spotify and YouTube, many fans are tuning their dials and turning to online radio to easily access his music. After his passing was announced, Minneapolis' KCMP (The Current) honored its hometown hero by playing Prince songs non-stop, including his entire 1984 Purple Rain album from start to finish. Another Minneapolis station, classic hits-formatted WQQL plans to up spins of Prince tracks. Program director Mathew Tell says that the station was "shocked by the tragic news. [A staffer] said how proud we all felt that this incredible talent was one of our own. Prince will be missed, but we will always have his music." On the East Coast, Raphael George, PD of New York's adult R&B station WNBM, says, "Listeners have been calling to share their stories about Prince. He is one of those artists whose music ignites an energy, an emotion that not many can generate in people. That's what makes him iconic." Adds George of Prince's musical legacy: "His music was, at the time of his debut, revolutionary. When black radio was moving away from the disco era, Prince dropped songs like 'Soft & Wet' ... and it was on from there, from the guitar riffs, synth and drum beats. "He never changed his music to earn airplay. He is the only, and last, artist from the '70s to consistently offer hits to contemporary R&B radio. Most recently his [2015 track] '1000 X's & O's' received strong rotation on adult R&B radio." That track, from Prince's September 2015 set HitnRun: Phase One, reached No. 12 on Billboard's Adult R&B Songs chart dated Feb. 6. It was his 23rd entry since the chart began in 1993. He notched two No. 1s on the tally: "Betcha By Golly Wow!" in 1997 and "Call My Name" in 2004. (The latter song earned a Grammy Award for best male r&b vocal performance in 2005.) Ryan Seacrest, the voice of On Air With Ryan Seacrest and American Top 40, among other high-profile roles, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Prince: Peter Rosenberg, air talent at New York's WQHT (Hot 97) host posted his thoughts: And, Apple Music's Beats 1 host Zane Lowe also shared his sadness on Twitter: Along with WNBM remembering Prince, New York's fellow adult R&B station WBLS commemorated the star by playing an interview with him that it had previously conducted. Operations manager Skip Dillard tells Billboard, "We're wall-to-wall with his music and plenty of highlight moments from one of the greatest musical careers in modern history." Of Prince's uncommon mass appeal, Dillard says, "There are only a handful of artists who pulled off what Prince did. He was R&B, pop and a little rock and folk in the mix. His sound was often beyond description, yet he was always not far from home base with his fans. "His style, energy, sex appeal, musicianship and mastery of multiple instruments led to performances that were a step above almost all others." (Billboard)

Ricky Gervais: I Want to Host the Oscars, But "It's Probably Best I Don't." Ricky Gervais has already hosted the Golden Globes four times, so isn't about time he's given a shot at the Oscars? "I would if they said I could say what I wanted, but they would never say that," the funny man told E! News at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his new Netflix movie Special Correspondents. And if by chance he was given free reign, Gervais joked that the Academy would probably give him the boot early on in the show. "I don't want to ruin their lovely night," he said. As for returning to the Globes again, Gervais said, "It's funny because I feel like I get it out of my system and then when it comes around like this time I said no because I was just too busy, but they persuaded me. But I do enjoy it every time I do it. It's always fun. "People think I don't enjoy it," he said. "I love it. I love going up there and saying what I want but it is stressful. It's quite stressful because you gotta work. I do work a little bit." In addition to drinking a beer while on stage during his Globes hosting duties this year, Gervais opened the show by referring to the audience as, "You disgusting, pill-popping, sexual-deviant scum." The Hollywood Foreign Press Association recently announced that the 74th annual Golden Globes will take place on Jan. 8, 2017. That Oscars will take place about two months later on March 4. (Eonline)

With a photo alongside his adorable furry friend, the actor wrote, "It's OFFICIAL: Love this script! Big movie news that me and my canine gal Shang are excited to share;) To produce, create and deliver original properties to fans like HBO's #ballers to this summer's #CentralIntelligence is one of the best parts of my job. He continued, "It's official. We'll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all time favs: There's games you play for fun... then there's games that change your life. JUMANJI Working on edging up an already very good script with my @sevenbucksprod team. Up next is meeting with our producer Matt Tolmach and director Jake Kasdan. Shooting starts this fall. Promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up;). As always I'll keep you posted. Casting this should be fun! #JUMANJI #JungleLife #JustPressStart #SONYPictures" News of a reboot first circulated back in August 2015 when Sony Pictures released titles and release dates for its forthcoming movie, stating that the Robin Williams-starring classic is set to hit the big screen once again come Christmas 2016. However, there is now a July 28, 2017, slated release date. No other details have emerged regarding casting or plot changes, if any. The only new information, which was graciously given to us by The Rock, is that shooting starts this fall with Matt Tolmach producing, Jake Kasdan directing and Johnson working on the script in collaboration with the company he founded, Seven Bucks Productions. According to the end of his post, casting has yet to happen. The original movie, based on Chris Van Allsburg's book of the same name, was released 20 years ago. Along with late Williams, the original cast included Bonnie Hunt and a young Kirsten Dunst and also featured some serious computer-animated animal stampedes, which will probably receive a massive update in the new version. Are you excited about the news? (Eonline)
Pamela Anderson Joins Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Baywatch Movie. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made a special announcement! He has been hard at work filming Baywatch with Zac Efron, but every so often he updates fans about the goings on behind-the-scenes. He made several casting announcements prior to the start of shooting, but in an unexpected twist Thursday, Johnson revealed one more cast member: Pamela Anderson! "She introduced the world to 'CJ Parker' and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time," he began his caption. "A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn't have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017. #PamAnderson #OS #OriginalSmokestack" Even though she was obviously one of the stars of the original TV show, Anderson's casting in the new movie might come as a surprise to some because she previously told E! News she didn't even think it would make it to the silver screen. "I'll believe it when I see it, but I wish them the best," Anderson, who played C.J. on the long-running drama, told E! News last fall. "I've heard this for 15 years." Not only did she think it wouldn't get made, she told Marc Malkin that she felt it shouldn't be made! "It was charming on television and when you make a TV show [into] a movie I think it loses some of its charm," she said. "Looking back, it was, Oh, my God! It was innocent, it was sexy, it was fun. We were just happy to be on the beach to get a tan." She joked that her role as C.J. was an "irreplaceable one," but The Rock did find a replacement -- with Kelly Rohrbach. But Anderson isn't the only alum coming back; Johnson previously confirmed David Hasselhoff would also be in the new Baywatch movie. "Pleasure to officially welcome the original #BAYWATCH gangsta himself David Hasselhoff to our movie!" The Rock shared on social media with a video of himself Facetiming with his upcoming co-star. "#BAYWATCH is the most successful TV show of all time and from the day we announced we were turning it into a movie, 'The Hoff' has been our greatest supporter. Especially once he knew our RATED R movie was going to be a combination of AVENGERS meets ANCHORMAN." (Eonline)

Gloria Sanchez and Chernin Entertainment will produce the film, which centers on two competitive women who are sent on a business trip to Canada. There, they hire a third woman off Craigslist to act as their intern, which derails their trip. Steinel worked as a writer on the Amazon series Red Oaks, and Fox recently ordered her workplace comedy HR, which is executive produced by Sue Naegle and Jeff Schaeffer and stars Judy Greer and Patton Oswalt. She also wrote the comedy FAM-I-LY, which she will direct, with Sue Naegle and Jeremy Garelick producing. Taylor Schilling is attached to star. Doctor Who's New Companion Announced: Meet Pearl Mackie! Doctor Who fans, meet your new TV best friend! Pearl Mackie has been announced by the BBC as the Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) new companion, replacing Jenna Coleman, who left the series in December. The theatre actress, who most recently appeared in the West End production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, will play a character named Bill, who she describes as "cool, strong, sharp, a little bit vulnerable with a bit of geekiness thrown in." Capaldi praised his new costar, saying, "It is a genuine delight to welcome Pearl Mackie to Doctor Who. A fine, fine actress with a wonderful zest and charm, she's a refreshing addition to the Tardis and will bring a universe of exciting new possibilities to The Doctor's adventures." Mackie, who is also a trained singer and dancer, joins a long list of actors who have played companion to the legendary time-traveling alien, including Coleman, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Freema Agyeman, Katherine Tate, and Billie Piper. Ever since the long-running show was rebooted in 2005, companions typically stick around for no more than three seasons before moving on from the show. When we last saw Coleman's character, Clara Oswald, she was sailing off in her own time-traveling Tardis with guest star Maisie Williams to travel the universe before returning to the eventual time of her death. While the show seems to be in a constant state of shake-up, that will be especially true over the next couple seasons as showrunner Steven Moffat exits after season 10 and Capaldi may also be exiting, since his contract is up after one more year. Capaldi took over from previous Doctor Matt Smith in 2013, and has now been in charge of the Tardis for two seasons, but as of December, he wasn't sure if he would stick around past season 10. "This could be my final year -- it's terrifying," he told The Telegraph. "I love Doctor Who but it can be quite an insular world and I want to do other things. There will come a time when this is over. But I knew that when I started." Moffat, on the other hand, confirmed his exit, saying "my timey-wimy is running out," and praising incoming showrunner, Broadchurch's Chris Chibnall. "I am beyond delighted that one of the true stars of British Television drama will be taking the Time Lord even further into the future." Chibnall will take over from Moffat at the start of season 11 in 2018. Season 10, meanwhile, will begin production later this year but won't air on BBC America until 2017. You can get a sneak peek at Mackie in action with Capaldi on the BBC site. (Eonline)
Kelly Ripa to Return to Host Live! With Michael Strahan Amid Drama. Kelly Ripa will return to co-host Live! With Kelly & Michael with Michael Strahan Tuesday after being absent from the show since the recent shocking announcement he was leaving the series. Ripa, who has hosted the daytime talk series in its various formats for more than 15 years, was a no-show on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday after she was told following Tuesday's show taping about ABC's decision to move Strahan full-time to Good Morning America, where he had had a part-time gig. Her absence had spurred speculation about the future of the series. Ripa told Live! With Kelly & Michael staffers in an email Friday night she would return to the show Tuesday. She will appear with Strahan, E! News has confirmed. "(Sorry for this late Friday night email). I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me," she wrote. "We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Love, Kelly." Ripa was expected to remain away from Live! until Tuesday -- she had requested time off work to celebrate her and Mark Consuelos' 20th wedding anniversary with a vacation in Turks and Caicos, E! News had previously learned. The couple ended up not going. She has not commented about Strahan and his upcoming departure, which was announced in a press release shortly after Ripa was informed about it. A source had recently told E! News Ripa was "livid" about hearing the news when everyone else did. Multiple sources have also told E! News she and Strahan did not get along behind the scenes. Another source said Thursday the two haven't spoken since ABC executives informed Ripa, in front of Strahan, that he was leaving Live! to go to Good Morning America in September. The source also said Strahan "has no bad blood towards her at this point and is looking forward to start his new chapter with his new team." The two and the network have not commented. Strahan sung Ripa's praises during an appearance on Good Morning America Thursday. "It's like my second family here. I'm going to miss everybody at Live!," he said. "I've been sitting next to Kelly every day and having a lot of fun on that show for the last four years. I'm very thankful for her -- to her -- because I learned so much from her." Ripa was seen in public for the first time since the shocker Thursday, outside her home in New York City. She held a a copy of Malcom Gladwell's David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants. (Eonline)
Kelly Ripa will be back Tuesday on 'Live' ... TMZ has learned ... this after her people jawboned it with Disney over the fate of her show and the tenure of co-host. Our ABC sources say Kelly's people made it clear she would come back if they could get assurance the show wasn't getting the ax. As we reported, ABC honchos are noodling whether to add a third hour of 'GMA,' which would displace 'Live.' From what we can gather, the brass gave Kelly enough assurance to end her boycott. Based on what we know, even Disney doesn't know if they'll expand 'GMA.' A lot depends on morning show ratings and the performance of 'Live' over the next year. Even if 'GMA' moves to 9 ... ABC could save 'Live' by moving it to 10 or 11 AM. Our ABC sources say Kelly made it clear she'd be a happy camper if Michael Strahan leaves before his scheduled September departure. Our sources say both Kelly and Michael are extremely uncomfortable about sitting together under the circumstances, and they'd both like to stop the bleeding STAT. As we reported, the 2 have not gotten along for 2 years ... various sources say they don't like each other. We're told Kelly has a little more than a year left on her contract. Makes for good TV. (TMZ)
Kelly Ripa is alienating lots of people on 'Live,' because they believe she's jeopardizing their jobs by refusing to work. Production sources tell us, some members of the crew believe ABC execs are weighing the benefits of either killing the show or moving it to a later hour so they can add a third hour of 'GMA.' These crew members are grousing, the longer Kelly stays out, the more damage it will do to 'Live' and the greater the chance that they'll be replaced by 'GMA.' If 'Live' goes away, so do they. That said, we're told the crew generally likes Kelly, but many of them think what they call "her tantrum" is hurting the show. As we reported, ABC is indeed mulling over the prospect of adding a 3rd 'GMA' hour. (TMZ)
Jodie Sweetin's Dancing With the Stars Injury: See the Moment That Sent Her to the Hospital. Will Jodie Sweetin's injury sideline her from the Dancing With the Stars competition? That's the question on everybody's minds after Sweetin injured her foot rehearsing with professional dance partner Keo Motsepe. "Jodie hurt her foot [yesterday] rehearsing for Monday's show. This is one of the toughest nights of the season, as the couples have to take on famous dances and recreate some of the greatest routines of all time," a spokesperson for DWTS said in a statement. "At this point she is resting her foot and taking it day by day." Sweetin was working on the dance from Pink's "Try" performance with choreographers RJ Durell and Nick Florez, who also choreographed Pink's performance. In the video, Sweetin is working on flipping Motsepe, the move that can be seen at 3 minutes and 10 seconds in in the video of the American Music Awards performance, when it doesn't go according to planned and Motsepe lands on her ankle. "I don't want to be done," Sweetin says through tears in the preview. Thursday, a spokesperson for Sweetin told E! News the actress is waiting for her diagnosis. "Earlier today, Jodie Sweetin injured her left foot during rehearsals for Dancing with Stars," her spokesperson said in a statement after she sustained the injury. "She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and she is awaiting her official diagnosis. She is in good spirits while she waits and Keo, along with her fiancee Justin Hodak, are by her side." Sweetin's injury is just the latest for season 22 of Dancing With the Stars. Contestant and America's Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco needed stitches for a cut and professional dancer Mark Ballas injured his back and had to sit out dancing with partner Paige VanZant for a week. Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays, 8 p.m. on ABC. (Eonline)
It's been nearly a decade since we first met the Gilmore girls, but looking at Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, it's hard to tell any time has passed. "Alexis hasn't started aging yet," Graham, 49, jokes with PEOPLE in its World's Most Beautiful special issue. "I certainly have!" retorts Bledel, 34, with a smile. Turns out the secret to staying youthful is pretty simple for the onscreen mother-daughter duo, who are reprising their roles in Netflix's upcoming reboot of the beloved show. Bledel has been getting facials from Brigitte Beasse of Brigitte Beaute since she was a teen on the series, and Graham has "always been a huge sunblock person my whole life," she says. The Parenthood alum also never sleeps with her makeup on, and gets frequent facials. "I do use as much natural stuff as I can. I keep a jar of coconut oil in the shower and use that as moisturizer," says Graham. Taking care of her body is also something Bledel learned from Graham, who works out five times a week. "Lauren's always been very healthy and worked out and took great care of herself, so I certainly try to do that when I can manage it," says Bledel. (People)

Team Kelly. Regis Philbin addressed the drama over Michael Strahan leaving Live With Kelly and Michael -- and it appears that he's siding with his former colleague Kelly Ripa. As previously reported, Strahan, 44, is leaving Live after four years to join Good Morning America full-time. According to The New York Times, Ripa "felt blindsided" when she was told about his departure last-minute. "[Producer Michael] Gelman, you know ... I don't want to know. I know what it is," Philbin, 84, told a TMZ cameraman in NYC Thursday, April 21. "They should have told her in the beginning." Ripa, 45, has yet to return to Live since the news. A source told Us Weekly that she "took a sick day." A show rep added that she already had the day off. Philbin told TMZ that he hasn't spoken to Ripa or Strahan since the fallout. The legendary talk show host also addressed rumblings about whether he would ever return to the show. "I'd have to think about it," he told TMZ, adding: "She's got a bunch of people that she likes, whoever it is, God bless them. Regis has had enough. Twenty-eight years there, 25 before in Hollywood before I came here. I'm done!" Regis cohosted with Ripa on the ABC daytime talk show for 10 years. Ripa replaced Kathie Lee Gifford in 2002, and Philbin was replaced by Strahan in 2012 when he left after 28 years behind the desk. (Last year, Philbin said that he hasn't spoken to Ripa since exiting the show.) "He's great. He was great on the [New York] Giants, he was great on our show," Philbin said of Strahan. "He's doing a lot of stuff. He's a real pro." Despite the love, Philbin does think that it could have been handled better with Ripa. "Do you think she got back-doored?" TMZ asked. "To a degree," he said. "I mean, I can't tell because I'm not there. ... They're going to be all right. It'll be fine." (US Weekly)
Tribeca: 'Roots' Team Hopes History Channel Reboot Speaks to a New Generation. "For me, this story is not just about slavery, especially for African-American and African people in general. It's a story to remind us that our roots are not slavery, but that they predate that." Mark Wolper was terrified to remake Roots. His father, David L. Wolper, executive produced the original 1977 miniseries, based on Alex Haley's 1976 novel about 100 years of history of one man's family from being raised in Africa to being sold into slavery to overcoming his circumstances. The series won nine Emmy Awards, still holds the record as one of the highest rated series of all time, and sparked a new conversation about race relations in this country. "It's sort of the triple whammy," Wolper told The Hollywood Reporter at the Tribeca Film Festival. Wolper eventually conquered his fears and executive produced a reboot of the series, which screened at festival and will premiere on the History Channel on May 30, almost 40 years after the original. Wolper changed his mind when he made his son watch the show, and while his son acknowledged the story's performance, he didn't feel like it spoke to him. "It was in that moment that I realized why we need to do Roots again, why I have to get over that fear of that triple whammy and try to tell this story again for a whole new generation," Wolper says. Wolper is executive producing alongside Will Packer, known for films like Think Like a Man, Ride Along and Straight Outta Compton, and Packer feels similarly about inspiring young people, especially those who are angered by the state of the country. "I empathize with the young generation that fights against the system of oppression ... How is this going to be received by that audience?" Packer asked the crowd at a heartfelt talkback after the Tribeca screening. "There's a whole generation out there who thinks they know this story... I don't think they know they are direct descendants of warriors." Rege-Jean Page, who plays Chicken George in the series, he remembers his family making him watch the original to learn about his ancestry. Page says he is one of the few actors who actually grew up in Africa (he grew up in Zimbabwe) and seeing an honest portrayal of African life onscreen was important to him. "You kind of get it as a bit of a rite of passage as a young man of color," Page said. "A well-meaning adult put me in front of it and said, 'Watch this, this is your brussel sprouts. It will make you better and more healthy.'" Malachi Kirby, who plays the lead Kunta Kinte, purposefully didn't read Haley's book in preparation for the role. He had seen the series, in which LeVar Burton plays Kunta Kinte (Burton is also an executive producer on this project), but he didn't want to recreate his performance. "I just wanted to respond to the story the same way that he did with his own intuition," Kirby said, adding the he prayed before every take to get through the difficult story. "For me, this story is not just about slavery, especially for African-American and African people in general. It's a story to remind us that our roots are not slavery, but that they predate that. " And Erica Tazel, who plays Chicken George's wife Matilda, hopes this version sparks a similar discussion among viewers as the last version did. "There were several conversations that were sparked between blacks and whites at the time and also sparked an interest across the board about what is our collective American story and history?" she said. "I don't think that's a conversation that would be a bad idea to revisit." While the original Roots broke television viewing records, Wolper acknowledges that the way the world consumes entertainment is different today. "We're never going to have the audience that the original Roots had; the environment of television is very different," Wolper says, but he and Packer want it to have the same effect. "Hopefully this will be the Roots that will last another 40 years," Packer said to the rapt crowd. "And my son will do that one," Wolper added, with a laugh. (Hollywood Reporter)
We hope you're not sick of superheroes! Well, actually this works even if you are... It's been over a year since news first broke that a prequel TV show about Superman's home planet was being developed. Well it looks like TV's Krypton is surviving longer than the planet Krypton, because now it's being reported that Syfy is in the midst of finalizing a deal for the pilot. The new series, based on DC Comics characters originally created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, is set on Superman's home world before it exploded. The show will mainly focus on the Man of Steel's grandfather as he attempts to restore his family's honor and save his loved ones from their world which is slowly slipping into chaos. As for what else to expect from the show, creator David S. Goyer-who can be hit-or-miss with projects ranging from The Dark Knight to Jumper and most recently Batman v Superman -- previously opened up about the project saying: "We're treating 'Krypton' like it's a historical piece. We look to previous cultures on Earth to model what that would be like." Since DSG also wrote Man of Steel, he mentioned how the film inspired him to explore Supes' home world, revealing: "We scratched the surface in the film and, for me, that was the allure. I was always fascinated, as a kid, with the books about Krypton and they've only shaded in a tiny bit, so we'll learn about the politics of the world. We'll learn about the culture, the art, all the different guilds." It's unlikely DC will tie this show into their cinematic universe, considering they're keeping the popular Flash and Supergirl series separate. The superhero show has already hired Damian Kindler -- best known for Sleepy Hollow -- as the executive producer and showrunner. Krypton also has a director in place for the pilot as it will be done by Peaky Blinders director Colm McCarthy. Goyer and Kindler are currently working on rewrites on the pilot which was based on a teleplay by Goyer and Ian Goldberg. There's no info yet on when this new series will drop, but if it's as successful as the last Superman prequel series, Smallville, then we're in for a treat! (Perez Hilton)
The One Big Issue We Have With the Disney Channel Movie Marathon. Look, no one is more excited about Disney Channel airing every single original movie (all 51 of 'em!) than us. We're already calling off work and making excuses with friends and family for that week. (Um, we really hope our boss, friends and/or family isn't reading this. But seriously, guys, we're going to be really sick that weekend. We swear.) Anyway, we have one big issue with the schedule for the Memorial Day weekend marathon. Can you spot it? Take a look at the schedule and see if you know what we're talking about. Did you see it? DID YOU?! Sorry, we didn't mean to yell. We're just a little bit upset. On Friday, they are airing High School Musical 2. The original High School Musical isn't airing until Monday. Same thing with the Camp Rock franchise. Camp Rock 2: Final Jam is airing on Saturday. The original Camp Rock doesn't air until Monday. Why are they airing sequels before the originals?! How on earth are we supposed to follow the storylines and the characters of these movies when we have to watch the sequels before the first movies?! What's that, you say? Why are we complaining about the sequence of storylines in movies when we've seen them half a dozen times already? Good point. But, you know, it's the principle of the thing! Even though we know every single word to every song in High School Musical 2, it doesn't meant we want to watch it before High School Musical! We want to be invested with the characters from the beginning, so airing these all out of order just messes with our Disney Channel mojo. Just take a look at this madness: The Cheetah Girls 2 before Cheetah Girls? Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge before Halloweentown? Teen Beach 2 before Teen Beach Movie? We feel like we're taking crazy pills! Maybe Disney saved up the OG classics for the final day of Memorial Day Weekend as the big finale. Or Disney has some intricate scientific method to rolling out these movies that we don't know about. Or maybe they just want to mess with our heads! Ah, who are we kidding? It doesn't matter when or how or why they're airing these movies. We're still going to watch the s--t out of every single second. (Eonline)
LIVE! With Kelly and Michael Producers Are "Committed" to the Show and Its Future. As Kelly Ripa continues to be absent from LIVE! With Kelly and Michael, rumors surrounding the show keep on swirling. Michael Strahan announced he would be departing the morning show Tuesday in favor of a permanent time slot on Good Morning America, and since then there have been many questions about his replacement and the fate of the show. Could Ripa's long-running show be canceled in favor of a third hour for GMA, or would Strahan be replaced? "We are committed to 'Live...', its fantastic production team, and to Kelly Ripa," said a Disney-ABC Television spokesperson in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. "We believe the show has a great future. End of story." Kelly didn't show up to work Wednesday, so Michael co-hosted with Saturday Night Live alum Ana Gasteyer. MSNBC's Brian Stelter talked to E! News about the ongoing drama involving Kelly, Michael and the production team and shared what he thought was really going on with her absences. "She's on strike from her own show. It's a very peculiar situation, but in Hollywood there are ways to get out of work," he explained. "There are illnesses that you can call out for, and they can't prove you're not sick." ABC said Kelly and her family had already scheduled a vacation that would have her missing Friday-Tuesday. Stelter said the former soap opera star is mostly upset about the way the network handled breaking the news to her. "This is about basic disrespect. At least Kelly Ripa believing that she's been disrespected by ABC," he explained. A source previously told E! News that she was "livid" about hearing the news when everyone else did, but Stelter had some ideas about what the network could do to get its star back and remedy the situation. "I can think money is probably part of the equation and a lot of compliments," he said. At the end of the day, however, there are some real issues arising from the LIVE! shake-up. "Some of this is about gender roles -- about mostly male bosses and a female star and about how women on television are treated," Stelter noted. "I have a feeling some of [Kelly's] female viewers would love to hear her talk about that." But wherever there is drama, there are #teams. "People are definitely choosing sides." (Eonline)
Michael Strahan Hasn't Spoken to Kelly Ripa Since Their Live! Meeting. Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa have yet to exchange words with each other on the big elephant in the room. A source tells E! News that the Live! co-hosts still haven't spoken since the ABC executive meeting held on Tuesday morning announcing Strahan's move to Good Morning America, but adds that, "He has no bad blood towards her at this point and is looking forward to start his new chapter with his new team." Although a private conversation has yet to be had, Strahan has publicly spoken out about his soon-to-be former co-host, praising her support the last four years. His most recent comments were made on GMA Thursday morning. "I'm going to miss everybody at Live!," Michael, 44, admitted. "I've been sitting next to Kelly every day and having a lot of fun on that show for the last four years. I'm very thankful for her -- to her -- because I learned so much from her." He credited Ripa with teaching him everything he knows about life on a morning show. "I was so new to all of this. If it weren't for her, if it weren't for [executive producer] Michael Gelman and the staff there that really boosted me up and made me look a lot better than I really am, I never would have had a chance to be here," he said. "But I'm grateful that I'm here. And we're on the same network. I'm just right over here a little bit earlier now, but we're the same team, same family, same network." Meanwhile, Ripa, who has remained mum on the matter and was "livid" about how it went down, resurfaced this morning when she stepped out of her New York City townhouse with husband Mark Consuelos. The couple and their family have seemingly canceled a previously planned trip to Turks and Caicos, which was assumed to be a 20th anniversary celebration, as they were scheduled to fly out today but have remained in the Big Apple. A show rep for Live! previously told E! News that Ripa would not be returning to her post on the daytime talk show for the rest of the week and the beginning of next week. Erin Andrews will guest co-host again tomorrow, and Shay Mitchell will fill in on Monday. (Eonline)
What On Earth Just Happened on The Blacklist? So is Elizabeth Keene really dead? We have absolutely no idea. We're also not entirely sure what occurred during tonight's follow-up to Megan Boone's probable exit from last week's The Blacklist. Thursday night, Red (James Spader) mourned Liz's death after childbirth by possibly probably imagining rescuing a woman (Lotte Verbeek) from drowning herself, sitting next to her while she took a lot of baths, and possibly maybe but probably not admitting to being Liz's father while lamenting the fact that Tom (Ryan Eggold) wants Red to have nothing to do with his daughter. At the very least, it seems like we could imply that the woman, whose name seems to be Katarina, was not real, and was actually Red's love who he was, at one point, unable to save. After Red seemingly talked to himself and made himself risotto and made us all cry, he also set up booby traps for the men who were pursuing him and Katarina, but we're assuming they weren't real either? We genuinely have no idea what's going on, but that doesn't mean tonight's episode wasn't extremely emotionally effective. Of course, just because tonight's episode didn't entirely focus on the aftermath of Liz's death doesn't mean the show isn't going there. Next week's episode looks to be an investigation into her death, as teased by the opening of this week's episode, in which Red interrogated one of the doctors who was present when Liz died. But then again, that also might have been a dream. Who knows?! If this death is a fakeout, it's certainly a fascinating one so far. If it's real, then it's seriously heartbreaking and we might also not make it through this thing. What are your theories on tonight's episode? The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC. (Eonline)
