Restrictions on US 60 beginning May 8

The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends planning ahead and considering alternate routes while the following scheduled restrictions are in place:
US 60 (mileposts 335.8 to 342.57) Crews will be doing spot repair work May 8 to May 13 from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. There will be lane restrictions, with one lane in each direction to be available for travelers.  From May 16 to May 20, beginning at 6 a.m., the intersections and driveways along the project will be closed for approximately 20 minutes each time that equipment passes to apply a slurry seal (there will be five passes).  Law enforcement officers will be on-site to aid with traffic control. Crews will return 30 days later for final striping, and the project should be completed by the end of June.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule. To stay up to date with the latest highway conditions around the state, visit the ADOT Traveler Information System at az511.gov or call 511.
