I-10 restricted Wednesday night near SR 587 in Pinal County

Some travelers should consider using I-8 and SR 85 as alternate route
Drivers with plans to use Interstate 10 between State Route 587 (Casa Blanca Road) and the Gila River Bridge south of Chandler tonight (Wednesday, June 6) should allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes due to a pavement-improvement project.

I-10 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions in that area, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. I-10 travelers who don’t plan to stop in the Phoenix area should consider using Interstate 8 and State Route 85 as a detour route to avoid the following I-10 restrictions near SR 587:

I-10 narrowed to one lane overnight between State Route 587 and the Gila River Bridge from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday (June 7) for pavement-sealing work.
Project schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other factors.

Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT. When a freeway closure or other major traffic event occurs, our free app available at ADOTAlerts.com will send critical information directly to app users in affected areas – where possible, in advance of alternate routes.
