THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Meghan Markle Is Going on Her First Solo Outing with the Queen! Queen Elizabeth is taking Meghan Markle on a road trip! On June 14, the newly minted Duchess of Sussex will carry out her first official royal outing with the monarch. Meghan, who is currently thought to be on her honeymoon with Prince Harry, will accompany the Queen on a visit to Chester, which is about 165 miles northwest of London. The Queen, 92, is taking her new granddaughter-in-law to officially unveil a new bridge in Widnes, Cheshire, and open the Storyhouse Theatre before the royal pair sit down for lunch at Chester's Town Hall. While Meghan toured the U.K. alongside Harry in the run up to their May 19 wedding, this will be the first time she has joined the Queen on her own. The royal engagement, which includes several stops in the area throughout the day, is often called an "away day" for the royals. It proves that Meghan, who has made no secret of her desire to "hit the ground running" after the royal wedding, is ready to kick off her public engagements -- both alongside members of the royal family and on her own. In March, Meghan joined Harry and other senior members of the royal family, including the Queen, for a church service celebrating Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey. And in December, Meghan debuted the perfect curtsy when she greeted Queen Elizabeth during Christmas Day church services. Meghan and Harry are expected to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace when the family gathers on Saturday, June 9, to celebrate the Queen's birthday at the annual Trooping the Colour parade. The Royal Family isn't taking any chances in wake of the terrorist call to action targeting Prince George ... TMZ has learned he'll be getting added protection at his school and on outings around London. Sources tell us Thomas's Battersea, George's school in London, will have beefed-up security. More officers will also follow Prince George on outings with his mom and his grandma, Carole Middleton, who often cares for him. As for this weekend's Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace ... we're told it's business as usual. George will appear with the rest of the family on the Buckingham Palace balcony, but there'll be a bigger security presence than usual. As we previously reported, the Royal Family is refusing to retreat from the public eye after 32-year-old Husnain Rashid encouraged ISIS to attack the boy at his school. (TMZ)

Meghan Markle's May 19 wedding to Prince Harry is still the talk of the world! While many watched the Duchess of Sussex walk down the aisle from their TVs and online, her former Suits costars Gabriel Macht and Sarah Rafferty were among the lucky 600 guests to be a part of the ceremony inside St. George's Chapel in Windsor. Recalling how proud she felt to see her friend get married, Rafferty, who plays Donna Paulsen on the hit USA series, recently told Entertainment Tonight, "It was a wonderful moment to get to see [Meghan] on that day and in that moment. It was special." Rafferty, 45, and Meghan, who played character Rachel Zane during seasons 1-7, were confidantes on and off-screen. "Seeing [Meghan] walk in on her own, in that moment before she met up with Prince Charles to walk the rest of the way, that was amazing," she shared of her favorite moment from the royal ceremony. (Prince Charles partially escorted daughter-in-law Meghan following news that her father Thomas Markle was unable to due to health reasons.) While Rafferty enjoyed the nuptials, Macht's favorite wedding moment was the lunchtime reception after. "It was surprising to see Elton John play 'I'm Still Standing.' He's still standing, he was incredible and that was an incredible moment," said Macht, 45, who plays Harvey Spector on the hit series. "I think, overall, just to be a part of such an uplifting story, you know? A story of inclusion, love and there's so much stuff out there that's so depressing and dark. This was just a remarkable day to go and support her and the royal family and it was an amazing time," he added. Kensington Palace confirmed that the eight-time Grammy winner and 1998 OBE recipient performed at the gathering, hosted by Queen Elizabeth at St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle. A guest previously told PEOPLE John sang -- among other songs -- his 1971 hit "Tiny Dancer," dedicating the tune to the bride. Ahead of the reception, the groom himself asked John to perform, in recognition of the musician's personal connection to his family. John was close friends with Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, and famously performed a rendition of his song "Candle In the Wind" at her funeral in 1997. This is not the first time Rafferty and Macht have seen Meghan in a wedding dress. The pair was an integral part of Meghan's Suits character's wedding to on-screen husband Mike Ross, played by former costar Patrick J. Adams, who also attended the royal wedding. Season 8 of Suits premieres Wednesday, July 18 on USA. (People)

Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman Just Had the Best Night of Bowling With the Big Little Lies Cast. The Big Little Lies cast knows how to party -- at the bowling alley. While you were at home Sunday night lounging on the couch or getting ready for the work week, the cast of HBO's huge hit came together for a casual evening out. As documented on social media, cast members including Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman were able to bowl, play pool and even have some beer. "We work and we play!" Reese shared on Instagram during game night. "Bowl-a-Rama party with the ladies of #BigLittleLies! @nicolekidman #MerylStreep @shailenewoodley." Nicole added, "Sunday night fun with our amazing #BigLittleLies crew." Shailene Woodley and Zo Kravitz also took to social media and shared photos from when they played pool with some special accessories. They would also pose in the photo booth with Reese. The fun night out comes after Laura Dern joined the crew at the movies earlier in the weekend to support Shailene's latest film. "WHAT TRUE SUPPORT AND SISTERHOOD LOOKS LIKE," the actress shared on Instagram as Laura, Reese and Zoe posed in front of a movie theatre with movie tickets in hand. "I feel so shown up for. #adrift @adriftmovie." Back in March, E! News confirmed that Big Little Lies season two was officially in production. HBO said the new season will "explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode... the potential for emotional and bodily injury shall loom." The cast for season two also includes Adam Scott, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling and Iain Armitage. No premiere date has officially been set for Big Little Lies, but 2019 is eyed. (Eonline)

Kyrie Irving spotted 'canoodling' with DJ Chantel Jeffries. NBA star Kyrie Irving -- who's making his film debut this month in "Uncle Drew" -- is back with DJ Chantel Jeffries, spies tell Page Six. The pair, who were linked in 2016, were spotted at the launch of new Long Island City rooftop pool Profundo Day Club, where Jeffries was spinning on Friday. After her set, spies tell us, the couple were "canoodling" before leaving for dinner. Jeffries has been romantically linked to Justin Combs and DeSean Jackson and was seen hanging with The Weeknd at Coachella this year. Justin Bieber fans may recall she was in a car with the singer when he was arrested for DUI in 2014. (PageSix)

Oprah Winfrey is now a Pacific Northwest land owner, but you'll have to take a ferry to find her new crib ... and she dropped major coin to keep it that way. O just bought a sprawling 43-acre estate on Orcas Island tucked away in an inlet, north of Seattle. The property she purchased is known as Madroneagle, and she spent $8.275 million to have it all to herself. The estate comes with a main house, a guest house, a gazebo with glass walls, a barn and workshop, a sauna and a craft shed. The main house is 3 stories with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The guest house is also a 4 bed, 3 bath, but significantly smaller in square footage. Sources close to the deal tell us Oprah never set foot on the island to see the new pad in person. She clearly read enough to pull the trigger, though. We don't know if she's planning to actually live there part-time, but it looks like she should! Fun fact: The island is known as a hot spot for whale watching. It's in the name, after all. (TMZ)

Miss America's dumping a longstanding tradition ... scrapping the swimsuit competition because it'll no longer judge contestants on physical appearance. Ex-FOX News host Gretchen Carlson -- a 1989 Miss America winner herself and the new chair of the Board of Trustees of the Miss America Organization -- announced the sweeping changes Tuesday morning on 'GMA' ... saying, "We are no longer a pageant. We are a competition." Instead of the swimsuit competition, contestants will take part in a live interactive session with the judges and will have to demonstrate their passion, intelligence and overall understanding of the job. The org is also getting rid of the evening gown portion of the competition. The competition started nearly a century ago in Atlantic City as a bathing beauty contest. But the organization's gotten push back in the last few years ... many calling the swimsuit contest misogynistic. The org's is still recovering from an email scandal that rocked Miss America's top brass after the group's former CEO and others insulted the appearance and intellect of former winners, including Carlson. And with the #MeToo movement serving as a backdrop coupled with Carlson championing the movement ... this seemed like only a matter of time. (TMZ)
