THE OTHER STUFF . . .
An autographed box score sheet from the night Kobe Bryant scored 81 points has just hit the auction block -- and some of the proceeds will go to the families of the helicopter crash victims. The rare document was personally signed by Bryant in blue ballpoint pen shortly after he dropped the incredible figure on the Toronto Raptors in that legendary 2006 performance. You can see in the doc -- which, according to Goldin Auctions, was only given out to media members, players and staffers after the game -- Kobe was a flat-out BEAST during the Jan. 22 matchup. Bryant took 46 shots and added 20 free throw attempts ... dropping 81 points with just 3 turnovers. What's even more incredible is only 2 other Lakers scored more than 10 points! Of course, Bryant's squad won the game -- a sellout at Staples Center -- and Kobe said of it all afterward he couldn't have have imagined dropping that much "not even in my dreams." We're told a portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the MambaOnThree Fund -- a charity set up to help the families of the other passengers that died in the tragic helicopter crash that killed Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, on Jan. 26. Bidding on the amazing piece has already begun (it's currently at $1,500 on Tuesday) ... and is expected to stay open until later this month. (TMZ)
Olivia Culpo is urging her fans and followers to help 16-year-old Alexis "Lexi" Altobelli, who lost her mother, father, and little sister in the helicopter crash last weekend that killed six others, including NBA star Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. The 27-year-old former Miss USA shared a photo on Instagram with Lexi pointing people to a GoFundMe campaign set up for the Altobelli family. "A week ago today Lexi's entire life changed forever when her mom, dad, and little sister died in the tragic helicopter crash alongside Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, and Ara Zobayan. Please see the link in my bio to help in any way," Culpo wrote. As of Monday afternoon, the campaign had raised more than half of its $500,000 goal. "The funds collected are being used for funeral costs, Lexi's future education, as well as other general living costs," Culpo wrote. "No amount is too small, and even the smallest amount symbolizes your support and love for a family who really needs it right now." "If you can't donate, please hold Lexi and her brother and all of the other families involved in this tragedy in your heart ???? I can't imagine what could possibly ease their pain at this time, but I know thoughts and prayers can go a long way." Lexi commented on the post with two heart emojis. John Altobelli was the head baseball coach at Orange Coast College, and he and his wife Keri and their children Alyssa, Lexi and J.J. were known as the "first family" of the school. J.J., 29, is currently a scout for the Boston Red Sox. John, 56, Keri, 46, and Alyssa, 13, all perished in the helicopter crash on January 26 that took nine lives. In addition to the three Altobellis, Kobe, and Gianna, Christina Mauser, Sarah and Payton Chester, and pilot Ara Zobayan also tragically died. John's team, the OCC Pirates, honored their fallen coach last Tuesday at their season opener against Southwestern Community College, just two days after his death -- something that assistant coach Ron La Ruffa said is what John would have wanted. "The more normal you can keep things, the better," La Ruffa told the Orange County Register last week. "And I think 'Alto' would want us to play." Ahead of the first pitch, players and fans held a moment of silence for John, and all of the Pirates wore his number, 14, on their jerseys. "We have a long hard day ahead of us, but we'll entertain ourselves for a couple hours with some baseball," John's brother, Tony Altobelli, told the crowd before the game began. Known fondly as "Coach Alto," John led the team to numerous conference and state championship titles during his many years as head coach. OCC has also set up the Altobelli Family Memorial Fund. The Touching Way LeBron James Will Honor Gianna Bryant and His Own Daughter at the NBA All-Star Game. Take a seat because this will hit you right in the heart. With the NBA All-Star game approaching on Feb. 16, LeBron James is set to serve as a team captain. Following the tragic news of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's death, the NBA has planned to have each team for the All-Star game don either #24, the number Bryant sported during his basketball career, or #2, the number his late 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant wore. Gianna, who James referred to as his "niece," and seven others also died in the January helicopter crash. Per a Los Angeles Times report, James opted for his team to wear #2. As for the reason behind his choice, the fellow Los Angeles Laker reportedly responded with a single word, "Zhuri." Zhuri is the name of his 5-year-old only daughter. During Friday's pre-game tribute to the basketball icon at the Staples Center, James, who last spoke to Bryant the morning of his death, scrapped his pre-written remarks and spoke from the heart as he honored his beloved friend. "I know at some point we will have a memorial for Kobe, but I look at this as a celebration tonight," he told the crowd. "This is a celebration of the 20 years of the blood, sweat, tears, the broken down body, the getting up, the sitting down, the countless hours, the determination to be as great as he could be." James continued, "Tonight we celebrate the kid who came here at 18 years of age, retired at 38 and become the best dad that we've seen over the last three years. Tonight is a celebration." Now, just over a week since Bryant's untimely death, James and his colleagues must forge ahead with Kobe in their minds and hearts. "Every game is going to be emotional," James told USA Today. "But time heals all, and it's going to continue to help us every game." "We'll continue to lean on each other and lean on our crowd," he continued. "Our crowd is going to be with us. We have to continue to push forward. That's what he'd want us to do." (Eonline)
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks Take Their Love to L.A. With Rare Sighting. Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are packing on the PDA. On Monday afternoon, photographers were able to catch a few photos of the new couple as they shared a kiss or two in front of a Los Angeles gym. As seen in the pics, Gabriella wrapped her arms around her man in a warm embrace and he returns the gesture. As for their outfits, he wore a pair of black workout shorts, a white t-shirt and a green hoodie. Gabriella wore a casual ensemble comprised of light-wash jeans, a white t-shirt and a cream-colored jacket. This isn't the first time the two Aussies have locked lips in public. A few weeks ago the pair was spotted kissing on an Australian beach during a hot summer day. Things appear to be moving quickly for the actor and model. They first sparked romance rumors in mid-December and have since been seen together only a handful of times. Nonetheless, each time they've been spotted, the two young stars have been locked in a warm embrace. Plus, Gabriella's already met his parents. When paparazzi first caught sight of the duo, Liam's parents were also present to meet the 23-year-old model. A source told E! News at the time, "Everyone was chatty and shook hands on arrival. Liam's mum looked very happy to see him, gave him a big cuddle." Now, it appears Liam and Gabriella are in Los Angeles, where Hemsworth once lived with ex-wife Miley Cyrus. The two recently finalized their divorce, months after they revealed their decade-long relationship was over. "It was not a complicated divorce because of their prenup and it was all handled by attorneys," an insider previously told E! News. "They are both very much ready to move on and untangle whatever affairs were left to figure out. They are happy to close this chapter of their lives." Meanwhile, Miley is dating Australian Cody Simpson, who said that things were going "great" a few weeks ago. (Eonline)
Zendaya and Jacob Elordi Prove They're More Than Just "Best Friends" With a Kiss. More than friends? Rumored couple Zendaya and Jacob Elordi have been in denial about their possible romance for some time now. The pair has adamantly denied any speculation of being together, but new photos of the two feature them looking quite cozy together. The two were spotted spending time in the Big Apple together when paps snapped a pic of Jacob sweetly kissing the Euphoria star on the head. "They were showing each other things on their phones and laughing," an eyewitness told E! News. "She seemed to be really enjoy being with him. At one point he reached over and kissed her on the forehead. She had a big smile on her face and was very comfortable with them." Later on during their afternoon outing, the source said Jacob snapped several photos of Zendaya with his camera. "They walked in sync and looked happy together. Zendaya couldn't help but break into a big smile from time to time. At the end of their date, Jacob hailed a cab for them and got the door for Zendaya. She hopped in and looked over at him with a big smile again," the eyewitness described. At the end of January Zendaya presented Jacob with the Rising Star honor at the American Australian Association Arts Awards in New York and referred to him as her "best friend." Jacob has also squashed rumors of a romance, most recently in an interview with GQ where he called the star one of his closest friends. "She's super dope to work with," he told the magazine at the time. "She's an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us. But we're all really close. There is not one weak link in that show. We've spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with." He also told the publication at the time, "She's like a sister to me." The pair work together on the hit HBO series Euphoria, but sparked romance rumors in Aug. 2019 after pictures of them vacationing together in Greece hit the internet. While pics together across the globe have continued to raise eyebrows, the two have stayed true to saying that they are just friends. Jacob even opened up further about their on set bond in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "We were like a tight-knit family," he shared. "We spent so many hours on set." Both Zendaya and Jacob have kept pretty tight lipped in the past about their dating history, but one thing is for sure, they would definitely make a cute couple! (Eonline)
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are inching closer to getting back together because they're acting like a rekindling of their relationship is imminent -- so say some of their close friends. Sources who were at Stormi's 2nd birthday party this past weekend tell TMZ ... Kylie and Trav were giving off major signs of being more than just co-parents to their little one. They looked more like the romantic couple they used to be ... say eyewitnesses who saw them interact. We're told the two walked in together and were pretty much inseparable the entire time as the party rolled on. Granted, they were both there for Stormi, but our sources say they appeared to be into each other. They threw off the impression ... they're on the verge of a reconciliation. We should note, however, that there weren't any reports of PDA between Kylie and Travis. That said, we're told their friend group believes something's happening there. Meanwhile, they're obviously continuing to co-parent as they have for these past several months as they've been apart as a couple. Travis has tagged along for several different KarJenner outings, and things haven't looked ugly at all in the public eye. We're told Travis has been staying at their place in Bev Hills, and Kylie's shacking up in Hidden Hills -- even though they see each other several times a week via Stormi. As for that crazy elaborate party for the kid ... it ran 'em about $500k, while some attractions/items were sponsored. Nothing but the best for their own, right? (TMZ)
Madonna offers to rent NYC apartment to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are looking to decamp to New York, Madonna is offering up her multimillion-dollar apartment -- for a price. The pop star posted a video on Instagram early Tuesday captioned, "Do Megan and Prince Harry want to sublet my apartment on Central Park West??" In it, she disses their current home in Canada and talks up her $7.3 million Upper West Side co-op apartment. "Hey, Harry -- don't run off to Canada. It's boring there," she explains. "I'll let them sublet my apartment on Central Park West." She then gave the couple a half-serious pitch on why they should live in her pad: "It's two-bedroom, it's got the best view of Manhattan. Incredible balcony ... No, Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW." It's interesting that Madonna would (even jokingly) offer to sublet her apartment at Harperley Hall on West 64th Street and Central Park West. In 2018, she lost her nearly three-year legal battle against the co-op, after a new board rule forbid her children and domestic help from living in the apartment unless she was "in residence" too. But according to an owners' handbook for the co-op available online, subletting is allowed -- although the co-op "prefers that each apartment be occupied by its Shareholder." In order to sublet, prior written approval from the board of directors is required, among other stipulations. Meanwhile, Meghan, 38, Harry, 35, and their baby boy Archie have been living on Vancouver Island since announcing last month that they were stepping back from their senior royal duties. They said at the time that they'd be spending time in both North America and the UK. (PageSix)
Joe Burrow is looking to follow LeBron James' lead when he starts making that NFL money ... telling TMZ Sports he's gonna hire a personal chef to keep him in shape!! Of course, the Lakers superstar reportedly spends a whopping $1.5 million a year to maintain peak physical shape -- including trainers, massage therapists and a chef. Other huge names like Conor McGregor have taken notice and followed suit ... electing to invest in his body rather than spending dough on cars and jewelry (though let's get serious, he'll be able to afford that too). We spoke with the champ at the Fanatics Super Bowl party in Miami on Saturday ... and he tells us he's already on the hunt for whoever can whip him up the best steak!! Burrow says he's not a picky eater, so whoever wins the gig won't have too hard of a time. "I'm a healthy eater, so whatever he or she can make that tastes good and keeps me shredded," the Heisman Trophy winner tells us. As for how he likes his steak?? Medium rare with a side of asparagus or lobster mac ... with NO A1 sauce. Once again, MEDIUM RARE BECAUSE THAT'S THE CORRECT ANSWER. Smart kid. (TMZ)
Kobe Bryant was like an uncle to Shareef O'Neal -- the two were EXTREMELY close -- and Shaq's son is telling TMZ Sports the most important message he learned from Mamba. "He just told me to always be the best I can be. Always try hard and always try to work harder than everyone else 'cause every day you take off, there's always people trying to get better." "So, he just told me to be the best I can be, I don't have to live up to my dad's name. I don't have to live up to anybody's name. Be the best I can be." Shareef -- who's now strongly considering continuing his college basketball career at LSU -- says he plans to honor Kobe every time he steps in the court. "I just plan on playing for him every time I play. I'm going to just do it for him, do it for the family, do it for the people that lost their lives." "It's always gonna be in my mind," Shareef added ... "It's a crazy, crazy feeling to think about it, but it's always gonna be in my mind." Shareef has been greatly affected by the tragedy -- he's been posting about it a lot on social media and personally visited the tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant outside Staples Center last week ... where he left a pair of shoes in KB's memory.
