Update: Lane restrictions on State Route 195 scheduled next week

Motorists advised to prepare for delays between Yuma and San Luis

Roadway crews are scheduled to remove temporary markings on State Route 195 next week as part of a pavement improvement project along State Route 195 southeast of Yuma, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Crews are scheduled to work Tuesday, (Nov. 10) and Wednesday, (Nov. 11) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. between mileposts 9-23. Lane closures of approximately three miles are scheduled to take place during work hours and the speed limit will be reduced.

Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time through the work zone and prepare for delays.

A 12-foot width restriction will also be in place.

The project is anticipated to be completed this winter.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
