• Ed Smart, the father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, came out as gay in a letter for family and friends posted to Facebook and said he and his wife are separating.
• In Atlanta, a man was arrested for turtle smuggling.
• Greenland's government told President Donald Trump on Friday that the island was "not for sale" following reports the president entertained the idea of buying the Danish territory.
