People keep stealing Old Town Road street signs in this Massachusetts town. Looks like people are taking their shenanigans to the Old Town Road -- well, at least in Wellesley, Mass. Residential street signs bearing the same name as Lil Nas X's hit song have been stolen three times in recent months, the town's website confirms. "Currently the street sign posts are empty," a news post says. "The Department of Public Works is waiting for the song's popularity to fade before replacing the signs again." While the song is a lighthearted anthem, it seems the sign thieves are taking its "Can't nobody tell me nothin'" lyrics too literally. The town certainly says the incidents are no laughing matter. "First responders often rely on the street signs in emergencies and missing signs could delay response times," the post adds. Additionally, each time the sign is taken, replacement costs can reach up to $280, not taking into account installation labor. Wellesley isn't the only area to face "Old Town Road"-related situations, according to a CNN report. In the District of Sicamous, British Columbia, fans have been stopping to take photos of the local Old Town Road. But after some signs went missing, the local chamber of commerce got smart and started selling copies of the sign for $25 plus shipping. "Old Town Road," Lil Nas X's country/rap song, made history in June for becoming the longest-running No. 1 song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. It smashed the previous record held by "Despacito," from Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber, and by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day." Since its release, "Old Town Road" has been remixed by the likes of Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo, Young Thug, Mason Ramsey, and even RM of BTS. (Entertainment Weekly)

Billie Eilish has a vision of what hell is really like ... tarring and feathering herself on the set of her upcoming music video ... and the images will stick with you!!! The 17-year-old alt-pop singer got down and dirty filming the video for her track, "all the good girls go to hell" ... throwing on a huge set of feathery wings and completely covering herself in heavy black makeup that looks just like sludge. The imagery is pretty powerful ... you see Billie slowly rising up from the ground, bogged down by the tar and feathers, as she sings for the cameras. At one point, she switches into a pure white look with some perfectly clean feathers for some serious angel vibes. If you paid attention in history class, you might recall learning about tarring and feathering ... an old form of public humiliation used in feudal Europe, and even here in America. But history lessons are boring, so Billie's music video also has FIRE ... massive flickering FLAMES and a HUGE EXPLOSION!!! (TMZ)

Slipknot Leads Ed Sheeran on Midweek U.K. Albums Chart. Slipknot are on the verge of tying up their first U.K. albums chart title in 13 years. The U.S. metal veterans have taken charge of the survey with We Are Not Your Kind (Roadrunner), which leads Ed Sheeran's second-placed No.6 Collaborations Project (Asylum) by more than 13,000 chart sales, according to the Official Charts Company. We Are Not Your Kind should become Slipknot's fifth consecutive top 5 album, and their first since 5 - The Gray Chapter hit No. 2 back in 2014. The masked rockers hit the summit just once, with 2001's Iowa. According to the OCC, Slipknot have shifted the most physical copies and digital downloads across the weekend, while Sheeran leads on streaming with No.6 Collaborations Project, which has reigned over the chart for the past four weeks. Meanwhile, Welsh rock outfit Feeder are charging toward a ninth top 10 album with Tallulah (Believe), which sits at No. 3 on the Official Chart Update, while Bon Iver's new set I,I. (Jagjaguwar), which got a surprise early release last week on digital platforms, comes in at No 5 at the midweek mark. New album releases by Rick Ross, Trippie Redd and Marika Hackman impact the top 20 at the halfway stage. On the singles tally, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's "Senorita" (EMI/Syco Music) is sailing to a fifth week at No. 1, based on early sales and streaming reports, while Kygo and Whitney Houston's "Higher Love" (Columbia/Kygo) could enter the top 5 for the first time. The Steve Winwood cover is up 9-3 and could would be the Norwegian producer's highest charting single to-date, besting the No. 7 peak for "It Ain't Me," his 2017 collaboration with Selena Gomez. Sheeran posted a picture with his signature bottle, revealing that the effort will raise money for the charities Rise Against Hunger and East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH) through the auction of the first three bottles at a special Christie's Auction House event in London on Thursday (Aug. 15); only 100 tickets to the exclusive auction will be available to the public on a first come, first served basis. In case you forgot, Ed starred in a Heinz ad earlier this year. (Billboard)
