THE OTHER STUFF . . .

Inside Prince George and Princess Charlotte's Royal Bond: 'They Learn to Lean on Each Other'. "Playdates [with outsiders] can be tricky," an insider tells PEOPLE about Prince George and Princess Charlotte's unique bond. Prince George and Princess Charlotte already know there's nothing like the bond between brother and sister. Whether they're stealing the show at royal weddings or casually kicking around a soccer ball while dad Prince William plays polo, the royal siblings' relationship is strengthened by their unique upbringing -- after all, most kids don't call Queen Elizabeth "Gan Gan." "They are close in age, and they spend so much time together," an insider tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Playdates [with outsiders] can be tricky, so they learn to lean on each other." That's not to say the pair aren't without their differences -- Prince George, 6, is "more reserved" while Princess Charlotte, 4, is "more outgoing." In addition, they'll be prepared for very different roles with George third in line to be monarch (after grandfather Prince Charles and dad Prince William). The children's varying personalities were on display at their parents' charity sailing race last week, with Charlotte playfully sticking out her tongue at one point. "Kate just handled it wonderfully," says a longtime royal observer. "She just laughed, and it was really lovely to see. For once you looked at them and thought, 'They're a family,' rather than 'the royal family.'" While Prince Louis, 1, is quickly catching up to his older siblings -- Kate has said she's "running after him all the time" -- George and Charlotte will soon share more time together. In just a few weeks, the little princess will join her big brother at Thomas's Battersea, a $23,000-per-year private school some three miles from the family's Kensington Palace home. "She can't wait to be with George at big school," says the insider. "She is so excited about it all." (People)

Selena Gomez Is Launching Her Own Beauty Line, So Get Your Wallets Ready. Hold the phone! Selena Gomez is launching her own beauty line. So start saving your coins and making room in your Alex drawers. After scoring countless fashion deals (she currently works with Puma and Coach), the "Wolves" singer is ready to dive into the beauty world. It appears she filed a trademark for "Selena Gomez" with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on July 11, a week and a half before her 27th birthday. The trademark was filed under her production company, July Moon Productions. So, what will her beauty line entail? While the "Bad Liar" star is keeping things tight lipped (she has yet to make an announcement herself), it looks like her beauty brand will feature an array of products, including "fragrances, cosmetics, hair care preparations, essential oils, skin care preparations, body care preparations" and so much more. News of Selena's own beauty line comes as no surprise, considering she's been sporting more audacious makeup looks in recent months. Case in point: The "I Can't Get Enough singer made her makeup the star of the show during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Attending the film festival for the first time, she donned dramatic looks that certainly made a grand entrance. She played up her lips with bold colors, rocked mesmerizing shadows and wore exaggerated cat-eyes to name a few. Of course, her go-to makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, was to thank for her beauty looks. Additionally, she's been having a lot more fun with color than in recent years. For this year's We Day California, the 27-year-old actress enhanced her navy blue Dior dress by adding shimmery indigo liner to her already bold cat-eye. But even when she's not playing with color, her makeup is still flawless. While in New York for The Dead Don't Die premiere, she wore a fresh-faced makeup look that gave her a lit-from-within glow. From her eyeshadow to her contour, she rocked warm-neutrals. Since her dress was over-the-top fabulous, it made sense she would leave the focus on her ensemble. All in all, it will be interesting to see what kind of products Selena creates for her upcoming line and if they'll coincide with her recent looks. Fans are crossing their fingers she comes out with shimmer shadows, colorful lipsticks shades, a cheek palette and more. With many celebrities tapping into the beauty world, it will be fun to see what she brings to the market. Luckily, this isn't her first time at the rodeo. Back in 2011, the Texas native released an eponymous fragrance. In fact, she asked her fans to help her create the perfume's scent by choosing the ingredients. So, her latest venture will mark her return to the beauty space. No matter what she launches, Selenators and beauty lovers alike will be waiting with a bated breath for Gomez's cosmetics line. Comedian Steve Harvey was surprised with a very familiar tune while dining at a restaurant on his vacation in Cannes, France. On Tuesday, Harvey, 62, shared a video of himself, his wife and a few other family members enjoying a meal at La Guerite (which boasts a stunning view of the rocky cove of Sainte-Marguerite Island) when all of sudden the theme song of his game show Family Feud starts playing throughout eatery. Harvey couldn't help but chuckle throughout the moment as his wife Marjorie Elaine Harvey claps excitedly. Other restaurant goers can be heard cheering loudly as they realize Harvey himself is in the building. Harvey then lifts his hands up in the air and waves at the guests. "I think I've heard this song before," Harvey captioned the tweet. The star has been on a European vacation since last week. On Aug. 3, Harvey's stepdaughter Lori stirred social media users into a frenzy when she was spotted enjoying lunch with the talk show host, her mother Marjorie, 54, and her rumored beau Sean "Diddy" Combs. In photo obtained by E! News, Lori, 22, affectionately rested one hand on the hip hop mogul's neck. Lori and Combs, 49, sparked dating rumors last month after they were spotted strolling around New York City wearing matching outfits. Reps for the two did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. Combs officially announced his split from longtime girlfriend Cassie Ventura, 32, last October. (She is now expecting her first child with boyfriend Alex Fine.) Combs is a father to three sons (Quincy, 28, Christian Casey, 21, and Justin Dior, 25) and three daughters (Chance, 13, D'Lila Star and Jessie James, both 12) from previous relationships. According to TMZ, Lori was previously linked to Combs' son, Justin. She was also once engaged to Dutch professional soccer player Memphis Depay. (People)

Kyle Richards is urging her sister Kim Richards, who has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past, to return to treatment, multiple sources tell Us Weekly exclusively. "Kyle became aware that Kim was struggling in recent weeks and got extremely concerned based on what she was hearing," one insider explains, noting that Kim, 54, isn't "doing well" right now. "Kyle isn't a doctor and can't make that determination, which is why she is trying to get Kim into treatment." According to the source, the sisters have been "living their own lives for some time now," but are on good terms with each other. "It's going to be an ongoing conversation, but the good news is that Kim is being extremely receptive to Kyle, recognizing she is coming from a place of love," the insider tells Us. "Kyle isn't giving up and is trying again to get Kim to agree. It's more for mental health than sobriety issues." Kim has not yet checked into treatment, according to sources. She has also been noticeably absent on social media in recent weeks. Kim spoke candidly about her battle with alcoholism after season 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aired in 2012. After completing a stint in rehab, the former child actress relapsed in 2015. She was subsequently arrested for public intoxication that April after a confrontation with police at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Later that year, Kim was accused of stealing nearly $600 worth of items from Target. The reality TV personality, who was ordered to attend AA meetings and complete 450 hours of community service, was officially off probation in September 2018. Kim and Kyle's relationship, which was documented on the first five seasons of RHOBH, has been affected by Kim's struggles in the past. The two women went head-to-head during the season 1 finale after the former American Woman producer outed her sister as an alcoholic. More recently, Kyle credited the Bravo series for saving Kim's life during an interview on SiriusXM's The Jenny McCarthy Show in June. "If anything, being on the show made her accountable and she says that as well," Kyle explained at the time. "She says that it saved her life because, you know, there's nowhere to hide and everyone knows -- now anywhere she goes, people know who she is. She can't get away with anything! So it actually helped her!" (US Weekly)

Kelly Ripa: talk show host, mother -- and ballet dancer! On Tuesday, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host shared a very impressive photo of herself wearing some satin pointe shoes and balancing on her tiptoes. In the Instagram snap, Ripa, 48, wore a tank top, grey sweat pants, and her pointe shoes, with her shoulder-length blonde hair in a half-up 'do. She kept her arms low by her sides and balanced in front of a large floor-length mirror. "Practice makes... ... um... .. something?" Ripa wrote in the caption of the graceful photo. "Join #kellyandryan #guinessworldrecord attempt-most #balletdancers #enpointe simultaneously ????????????" Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos showed his support with a loving comment on the post, saying, "Reason 1001 why ... ??????" The mother of three's post even caught the attention of professional dancers, including former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Allison Holker Boss, who commented with a string of heart emojis. Consuelos' Riverdale costar Skeet Ulrich commented, "Impressive ????" -- a sentiment that Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan echoed with the comment "Very impressive!!" But Ripa didn't don the ballet shoes for nothing -- Live with Kelly and Ryan is on a quest to break the Guinness World Record for Most Ballet Dancers En Pointe Simultaneously. The attempt will take place on the morning of Tuesday, September 10, and American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Isabella Boylston and James Whiteside will be joining in on the challenge. To successfully break the record, the group will need to have more than 245 people rise up en pointe at once for a full minute. "This record-breaking challenge is a great way to share our art form with a large audience and make everyone feel included," Boylston and Whiteside said in a joint statement to Pointe Magazine. "All are welcome to participate and all you have to do is stand en pointe!" the pals, who call themselves "The Cindies," added. They both also shared Instagram posts putting out the dancers to participate. "LET'S BREAK A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!" the caption said. "CALLING ALL BALLET DANCERS! If you can dance en pointe, you can join me and @jamesbwhiteside to be a part of @livekellyandryan's attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Most Ballet Dancers En Pointe Simultaneously!" the caption continued. "On September 10, join "The Cindies," @kellyripa & @ryanseacrest in our attempt to break the world record! The current record was achieved in Orlando, Florida, by Dr. Phillips High School Dance Magnet, Orlando Ballet and other dance schools in the area at the Orange County Convention Center in 2011. Chrissy Teigen will no longer have to worry about sweaty armpits. On Tuesday, Teigen, 33, revealed that she got botox in her armpits to prevent sweating. The Bring the Funny host shared a video of herself getting the procedure on her Instagram Stories writing, "BOTOXED MY ARMPITS" over the clip. "TRULY BEST MOVE I HAVE EVER MADE." The star then raved that she can "wear silk again without soaking woohoo!" In the clip, Teigen can be seen lying on her back as Dr. Jason Diamond injects botox into her pits. It appears she was a bit nervous about the procedure as she held a piece of cloth over her mouth. However, her worries were soon over as the process only took a few minutes. "That really isn't anything," Teigen says before taking a sigh of relief. "It looked very frightening." "That's it," Diamond tells her. This isn't the first time Teigen has opened up about getting work done to her armpits. In a 2017 interview with Refinery29, Teigen revealed "I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things." "It's a big secret, but I don't care. It was nine years ago or so. And I had two inches to my armpit. Now it's back though, so now I've gotta pay for [liposuction] again." "It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I've ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly." As most fans of Teigen know, she's an open book when it comes to her health. Earlier this month, the model candidly told her followers that she hasn't been herself lately -- and that she thinks it may be because she has an ulcer. "I haven't been feeling like my best self lately. Like pretty super below it," Teigen wrote on Aug. 3. "I think I have an ulcer. Also, I'm super cranky. And tired. Don't tell me to go to the doctor. I will. But I still need help with the cranky part ?? is there a cranky [doctor?]" The mom of two thought she developed an ulcer because of her eating habits. Teigen said that the spice factor of her usual foods is probably causing problems. "I think I need to eat really bland things for a month," she said. "I eat so spicy and garlicky and acidic. My stomach is so mad at me. I think my organs are 1/1000th of a millimeter thick and about to go." Teigen has also spoken out about her struggles with postpartum depression after giving birth to Luna, now 3, in 2016. "I just didn't know that there was any other way to feel," she said this May. "I thought it was very natural to be in this low, low point. And I just assumed that was motherhood and there was no other way around it, and you just kind of went through it." "It wasn't just being tired, it was being really, really sad and hard on yourself and really down on yourself," she added. Teigen said that friends noticed her change in mood and addressed it with her, and that her husband, John Legend, helped her through the recovery process. "I just had such a good group of people that were around," she said. "People were really watchful of me, and I had really changed." Legend and Teigen are also parents to 14-month-old son Miles Theodore. (People)

Legendary musician today ... the next Don King tomorrow?!?! It sure sounds like Usher is considering that route ... 'cause when we got him out at Avery Sparrow's pre-Ryan Garcia fight event -- he told us he's dead serious about possibly getting in the boxing business! "I'm obviously here for a reason," Usher says ... "Who knows? I may be bitten by the bug." Usher's had some history with the sport ... he famously played Sugar Ray Leonard in "Hands of Stone" back in 2016 -- and he's close with Sparrow and his boxing family. But, the 40-year-old tells us he's inspired by what Al Haymon and Jay-Z have done transitioning into representatives for sports stars ... and he says he might just follow suit! "Who knows? It could be great promise there." Usher ain't a stranger to running a sports biz ... remember, the guy is a minority owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. So, could boxing promoting seriously be next?? "Playing in this space could be fun ..." Stay tuned! (TMZ)

Cory Booker's actress girlfriend, Rosario Dawson, was absent from yet another campaign event for the senator and White House hopeful. We're told Dawson was noticeably missing from a fundraiser at Slate nightclub Monday. The "Trance" star also missed the first two debates because she was filming in New Mexico for the USA Network's "Briarpatch." Dawson last joined him on the campaign trail over the Fourth of July, and he attended a panel she was on at Essence Festival that month. (Page Six)

Jon Jones has never lost (that DQ doesn't count) and he's DOMINATED almost everyone he's fought -- but he ain't the G.O.A.T. ... so says Daniel Cormier. DC -- who's fighting Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 this Saturday -- joined the guys on the "TMZ Sports" TV Show (airs weeknights on FS1) ... and was asked who he considers the greatest mixed martial artist ever. The UFC heavyweight champ said himself -- along with Mighty Mouse and GSP -- were best ... but it was who DC said wasn't in the conversation that was more shocking. "I really do believe when you break down the greatest fighters of all time, anyone with any accusation against their name should be omitted." No Jon Jones. No Anderson Silva. "I like Anderson. He's a great guy, great champion. Jones, a great fighter. But any time you have anything attached to your name, I think you should be out. You're not supposed to do it that way," Cormier says. "But, Georges St. Pierre, Demetrious Johnson, I think those guys along with myself should be considered the greatest fighters of all time." Remember, Jones was flagged by the USADA in 2016 and 2017 ... leading to multiple suspensions. He also had his UFC 214 win over Cormier stripped. FYI -- Jon has never wavered, insisting he has never cheated. As for Silva ... he was popped for a banned substance in 2017, and was subsequently suspended. Spider has also adamantly denied intentionally taking anything ... instead saying he ingested a tainted supplement. Bottom line, with Daniel and Jon, it's obvious there's no love between 'em ... which brings up the trilogy fight. We asked DC if it'll ever happen ... or if his Miocic superfight will be the last in his HoF career. (TMZ)

President Trump does NOT cheat on the golf course ... so says golf legend John Daly, who golfed with POTUS this week. Trump's honesty on the golf course has been called into question many, many times in the past ... with former golf partners like Samuel L. Jackson and Oscar De La Hoya flat out saying they witnessed Trump cheat. Rick Reilly even wrote a book -- a freakin' book -- about Trump's alleged cheating. But, John Daly -- who's been friends with the Prez for years and golfed with him at Trump National in NJ on Monday -- tells TMZ Sports, it just ain't true. "It's funny how these people say, 'does he cheat?' Well, when he goes out and plays, if he hits a bad shot, he might hit a Mulligan, but he doesn't count it when we're playing the match." For those not down with the golf lingo ... a mulligan is essentially a redo after a bad shot. The 2-time Majors winner doubled down, and called out someone else who was in the Oval Office. "It's just amazing that people call him a cheat in golf. You wanna call a cheat in golf? I'll tell ya, Bill Clinton, he took a Mulligan on putts, chips, when I played with him." "I don't think Bill Clinton could've broken 100. At least the President, Mr. Trump, he can shoot 80. 78 to 84, probably." There's more ... Daly gives us his U.S. Presidents golfer power rankings -- and tells us what him and Trump discussed on the links. Hint: family, 'Merica and China tariffs. (TMZ)

The group of bikers who triggered massive panic in Times Square will NOT face criminal charges ... because cops decided there was no crime. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... authorities reviewed surveillance footage from last week's chaotic scene. They determined the group of bikers obeyed all traffic laws and didn't intentionally try to make it sound like there was an active shooter ... so, no reckless endangerment charges for causing the mass panic. We're told surveillance video showed the bikers riding on 42nd Street when the group stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, they throttled up, and that's when a couple bikes backfired. We're told footage shows only a handful of people initially ran for cover, before full-on panic set in. Understandable, given the uneasiness following the recent mass shootings. As we reported ... hundreds fled in all directions, triggering a stampede while seeking safe haven. About a dozen people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. (TMZ)
