Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala to Headline 2019 Coachella Music Festival. The wait is finally over. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup was announced on Wednesday night after months of speculation. Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande are going to be performing at the show, along with dozens of other artists like The Pixies, The 1975, Billie Eilish, Solange and Khalid. The festival now spans two separate weekends: April 12-14 and April 19-21. Childish Gambino will be starting off the Coachella weekends on Friday night. Other big names that day include Janelle Mone, Kacey Musgraves, Ella Mai, Anderson .Paak, Diplo and Jaden Smith. Saturday is just as great with Tame Impala, Solange, Kid Cudi, Weezer, J Balvin and Wiz Khalifa. The epic festival weekend will be closed out with the "Thank U, Next" singer as well as Zedd, Bad Bunny, Pusha T, CHVRCHES and Dillon Francis. Passes go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. PT. They're sure to sell out quickly as they have in years prior. Those who lucky enough to nab the prized passes will be dancing and singing along to hit songs in April during either the first or second weekend. General admission costs $429 for the weekend while a pass plus shuttle will set you back $509. VIP wristbands are $999. It is rumored that Kanye West was going to be one of the artists who would headline, but, according to reports, negotiations fell through in the finals weeks leading up to the announcement. Apparently, Ye wanted to change up the traditional stage design, but this was not possible since other musicians needed a stage too. So, Kanye reportedly chose to walk, rather than sacrifice his artistic liberty. Kanye wasn't the only artist who was believed to be performing at the popular music and arts fest. Rihanna and Justin Timberlake were among the names whispered among avid attendees, which surely drove advanced ticket sales. Musicians aren't the only ones that concert-goers look forward to seeing at the festival, which takes place in Indio, Calif. Celebrities flock to the desert locale in their most fashionable festival attire, like last year when Justin Bieber wore a funky Hawaiian shirt to jam out to his favorite artists. Last year's concert is a hard act to beat, since Beyonce brought the house down with her Destiny's Child reunion and Cardi B performed pregnant. However, with these headliners performing, they may set the bar even higher. It's going to be two epic weekends! (Eonline)

Cardi B Says She's Putting Out a New Album This Year. Cardi B is coming off of a record-breaking 2018, but that doesn't mean she's ready to slow down and take a breather. On Tuesday (Jan. 1), the rapper went live on Instagram and confirmed that she plans on putting out a new album this year. "Of course it's going to be an album in 2019," she said, responding to a fan asking about the status of the new record. -Cardi also said she wants to release the album around the same time she released Invasion of Privacy last year --which would mean April-- but she added that she's not sure that'll be feasible due to her schedule. "Hopefully I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out," she said. "I don't know how possible that's gonna to be because I feel like I'm gonna be extremely, extremely busy." In addition to a new album, 2019 will also reportedly see the release of a deluxe version of Invasion of Privacy. (Billboard)

Woodstock 50th Anniversary Concert Is Proving a Hot Ticket. Finding a place to stay for next year's 50th anniversary Woodstock concert may not be a groovy experience for anyone hoping to score a room near the venue. The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports that many motels, bed-and-breakfasts and Airbnb rentals are already sold out in Sullivan County, a rural area 85 miles (140 kilometers) northwest of New York City. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a concert venue built on the original Woodstock site in the town of Bethel, announced last week that it will host the golden anniversary event Aug. 16-18. Most motels and B&Bs closest to the concert venue have been booked solid for some time. People interested in attending the anniversary concert are being advised to check out the Sullivan County Visitors Association website for lodging information. (Billboard)

You Won't Believe How Much Money Ed Sheeran Made Per Day Touring. Ed Sheeran is making the big bucks. According to documents filed by his touring company, Nathan Cable Touring, the singer raked in nearly 38.9 million (or approximately $49 million) for the financial year ending Mar. 31, 2018. If fans divide that number by the 365 days in year, that comes out to about 106,600 (or about $134,000) per day. That's a pretty nice chunk of change. The documents were filed with Companies House -- the U.K.'s registrar of companies -- on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. Per the filings, Sheeran gave himself a hefty paycheck and drew about 17.5 million (or roughly $22.1 million) from profits. However, he still had nearly 26 million (or about $32.8 million) left over. Sheeran's Tour has been a record-breaking concert series. According to Pollstar, the tour sold 4,860,482 tickets across 53 cities and 94 shows. However, this isn't Sheeran's only venture. The four-time Grammy winner also has Ed Sheeran Limited. In 2017, the company had a turnover of about 36.3 million (about $45.8 million) and a gross profit of about 27.3 million (about $34.4 million). Sounds like a "perfect" way to end the year. Viral 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' Star Sophia Grace Reinvents Herself as a Rap Artist. All grown up! Sophia Grace Brownlee, who was discovered by Ellen DeGeneres in 2011, has reinvented herself as a rapper -- and the internet is shook. Brownlee, now 15, recently released a music video for her new song, "Can't Sleep," seven years after she and cousin Rosie McClelland first rapped along to Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "People saying they want me to be the same as I was before. It annoys me because I'm not that person anymore and they always ask me to go back to how I was, but I'm different and that's not who I am," the teenager says at the beginning of the video. "So I want to show people I'm a different person now and I've changed, but that's okay because everyone changes." In the song, Brownlee raps, "I've been on a leash, now I'm taking control / I've been under pressure, but that's just how it goes." Brownlee and McClelland, now 12, made multiple appearances on Ellen after their 2011 debut, interviewing celebrity guests during a segment titled, "Tea Time With Sophia Grace and Rosie." The cousins even landed a movie deal in 2014. (Sophia Grace & Rosie's Royal Adventure was released on DVD that May.) After Brownlee's video made headlines on Wednesday, January 2, Twitter users could not handle how different the duo looked. "OMG! Sooo old Do y'all remember sophia grace and rosie?" one person tweeted Opens a New Window. . "when did sophia grace and rosie grow up??? my brain can't handle this," another user tweeted Opens a New Window. alongside photos of the two girls. A third person added Opens a New Window. , "This hit me like a ton of bricks." (UsWeekly)
