Prince Harry Had the Most Relatable Setback Tuesday Morning Ahead of Invictus Event. We've all been there! On Tuesday morning, Prince Harry arrived at the Honourable Artillery Company in London to attend the launch of the British team soon heading off to the next edition of the Invictus Games. However, the Prince unfortunately greeted the players a little bit late due to unforeseen circumstances -- traffic! During one of the group photos, Harry came in late apologizing to the team for getting stuck in traffic. In a video posted to Twitter, you can see Harry jog into the photo before cracking a joke and waving at the cameras as an attempt to apologize for his tardiness. Like the pro he is, Harry just jumped right in the photo without missing a beat. Prince Harry created the Invictus event in 2014 when he was in the army, and it's a cause that remains close to his heart, so there was definitely no ill will for his slight lateness. The Invictus Games is a global sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women who are either currently serving or are veterans. According to the Games' website, the event leverages the "power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider-understanding and respect of all those who serve their country." Prince Harry won't let a little traffic get him down! (Eonline)
The Queen's Dressmaker Reveals Royal Christening Gown Was Hand-Dyed in Tea! In excerpts from her new book, Angela Kelly, dressmaker and confidant to the Queen, reveals how she painstakingly recreated the royal heirloom using Yorkshire tea. When it came to recreating the royal christening gown, Queen Elizabeth's dressmaker used an old-fashioned form of dye for the secret project -- a tea bag! "To make sure it looked authentic we dyed it in Yorkshire tea (the strongest, as we all know)," reveals Angela Kelly, the Queen's longtime dressmaker in her new book. "We placed each piece of lace in a small bowl, from the Dressers' Kitchen, filled with cool water and a tea bag, and left it for about five minutes, checking regularly until the colour was perfect." In Hello!'s excerpts of the book, titled The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, The Dresser and the Wardrobe, Kelly revealed that the 2004 project, which took nine long months to complete, was undertaken by herself and another dressmaker, Barbara Buckfield. Kelly traveled to Italy to find just the right lace, carrying the miniature gown in a large handbag, before bringing in back to the U.K. to hand dye it. The replica was commissioned by the Queen after the original, made in 1841 was deemed too fragile for use. Worn by 62 royal babies, including the Queen herself, the original was made of Spitalfields silk and Honiton lace and was last worn by Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex's daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, in 2004. Since then Kelly's replica has been worn for all royal christenings, including those of Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and most recently for the christening of Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son. The project was also overseen closely by the Queen, says Kelly, who has worked for the Queen since 1994, first as a personal assistant and later as a dresser. "At each stage of the process, I would show our progress to the Queen: first the bodice, then the sleeves attached to it, then the skirt with the under-layers on, and finally the completed robe," reveals Kelly, who was born and raised in Liverpool. "Her Majesty was very interested to see how it was developing." The christening gown also formed part of a 2016 exhibition to mark the Queen's 90th birthday. 'Fashioning A Reign: 90 Years of Style From the Queen's Wardrobe' at Windsor Castle was the largest exhibition of the Queen's wardrobe to date. (People)
How Queen Elizabeth Put Her Own Spin on Her Cameo in 2012 Olympics James Bond Sketch. Angela Kelly, the Queen's trusted dresser and close confidant, is sharing how the iconic moment came to be in her new book, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe. Queen Elizabeth had just one stipulation when it came to appearing in a comedy sketch: a speaking part! The monarch memorably teamed up with Daniel Craig (as James Bond!) and director Danny Boyle for a clip which aired during the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics in London, in which she made a cameo in a mini-movie in a parody of the famous British spy films. After Craig's character picks up the Queen from Buckingham Palace, stunt actors playing them helicoptered across London and parachuted into the Olympics venue. To cheers, Queen Elizabeth then appeared on the steps of the VIP seats for her grand entrance. Now Angela Kelly, the Queen's trusted dresser and close confidant, is sharing how the iconic moment came to be in her new book, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe. Kelly was one of the first people to hear the pitch during a 2011 meeting with Boyle and Private Secretary Edward Young and even presented the idea to the Queen directly. "Having listened to Danny's plan, I asked him and Edward to give me five minutes so that I could ask the Queen," Kelly writes, as extracted in Hello! Magazine. "I remember the look of shock on Danny's face that I would be asking Her Majesty straight away, but there's no point in waiting around with these things, if she said no, that would be the end of it." Although the Queen "was very amused by the idea and agreed immediately," she wanted her participation to be more than just an appearance. "I asked then if she would like a speaking part," Kelly recalled. "Without hesitation, Her Majesty replied: 'Of course I must say something. After all, he is coming to rescue me.'" She added, "I asked whether she would like to say: 'Good evening, James,' or: 'Good evening, Mr. Bond,' and she chose the latter, knowing the Bond films. Within minutes, I was back in Edward's office delivering the good news to Danny -- I think he almost fell off his chair when I said that the Queen's only stipulation was that she could deliver that iconic line." Kelly was behind the two peach crystal and lace gowns used for the cameo -- one worn by the Queen for the pre-recorded bit, and another for stuntman Gary Connery, who delighted audiences from around the world by jumping out of the helicopter and into the arena as Her Majesty. In her previous book Dressing The Queen: The Jubilee Wardrobe, Kelly explained the lengths that staff went to in order to keep the monarch's appearance a surprise. "The Buckingham Palace dressmakers worked quietly for months, never having both dresses out of storage at the same time," she said. "Even they didn't know why two dresses were required for the same event." (People)

The famous ex of Christie Brinkley is engaged to 21-year-old college student Alba Jancou, according to Page Six. "We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate," the 60-year-old architect shared with the publication. "We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!" So how did the romantic proposal happen? According to the outlet, the special moment happened in September near Santorini, Greece in front of a church. While the couple tries to keep their romance off social media, the pair was able to participate in a photo shoot after their engagement. In photos snapped by Ioannis Pananakis and shared with Page Six, the couple wore all white while posing in front of a Santorini sunset. Perhaps this explains Peter's Instagram from Mykonos last summer. It all makes sense! Engagements aside, Peter recently showed his support for Sailor Brinkley-Cook on Dancing With the Stars. Before she was eliminated, the dancer received some encouragement from her dad on Instagram. "Happy belated national daughters day!" Peter shared on social media. "I'm proud of the courage and skill my daughter has demonstrated on dancing with the stars! XOXO." Sailor would reply with, "I love you." (Eonline)
An occasion worth celebrating! Kim Kardashian kicked off the celebration of Caitlyn Jenner hitting the big 7-0 with a sweet birthday tribute on Monday, October 28. "Birthday today!" she wrote. "So, blessed to have so much love in my life from family and friends." Caitlyn was married to Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, from 1991 to 2015. They are the parents of Kendall, 23, and Kylie, 22. After their marriage ended, the I Am Cait alum announced her transition. Though she initially had her family's support during this period, the eldest Kardashian sisters -- Kim, Kourtney, 40, and Khloe, 35 -- were angered with how Kris, 63, was portrayed in Caitlyn's 2017 memoir, The Secrets of My Life. During an appearance on The View at the time, the KKW Beauty mogul noted her confusion with Caitlyn including things in her book that "weren't true or didn't really make sense." "At the end of the day, my mom and Caitlyn had a 25-year relationship," she explained at the time. "And you've gotta have some respect for it." When Kim invited Caitlyn to her Christmas Eve party in December 2018, Khloe pressured her to disinvite their former stepdad. The tension between Caitlyn and the family appears to still be evident. A source told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday, October 28, that the gold medalist canceled a planned appearance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opening in Hollywood, Florida, to avoid bumping into Khloe and Kourtney's ex Scott Disick, who was joined by girlfriend Sofia Richie. Months before her 70th birthday, Caitlyn made a mistake when trying to honor her youngest daughter Kylie's 22nd birthday. She posted a throwback pic with Kendall as a child instead of the Kylie Cosmetics founder. Speaking with Vice's Broadly in 2018, Caitlyn offered an update on her relationship with her children. "I spend a lot of time by myself here in the house," she said at the time. "I have a lot of children, but sometimes just because of circumstances, maintaining a close relationship with your kids is very tough. They all have lives. They've all moved on." (US Weekly)
Family feud? Caitlyn Jenner backed out of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opening in Hollywood, Florida, to avoid Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. According to the insider, Jenner was confirmed to attend the grand opening on Thursday, October 24, but canceled last minute because of a conflict with Kardashian, 35, and Disick, 36. The Revenge Body host, for her part, was at the get-together with Disick and his girlfriend, Sofia Richie. Caitlyn, who turned 70 on Monday, October 28, was previously married to Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, from 1991 to 2015. The exes share daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. After they split, the Olympian transitioned. While the Kardashian family initially expressed their support for Caitlyn, there was tension between Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and their former stepfather after she slammed Kris in her tell-all book, The Secrets of My Life. "It is so shady that Caitlyn came over and gave me the book and then on the phone she said, 'Well, the final version has a few more things in it. But don't worry, it's nothing about you,'" Kim, now 39, told Kourtney, now 40, and Khloe on a September 2017 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I have always had Caitlyn's back. She is a liar. She is not a good person." More recently, Kim extended an invitation to Caitlyn to the family's annual Christmas Eve party in December 2018, but Khloe pressured her sister to disinvite Kendall and Kylie's dad. "Who wants mom's peace? 'Cause that matters," Khloe said during a June episode of KUWTK. "Do we care about Caitlyn's peace when she's never cared about ours?" While Kim admitted she "made a big f--king mistake," Kris encouraged her to just let Caitlyn come to the annual holiday bash. "I promise you, I'm fine," Kris told her daughter. "Just let it go. Vodka's my friend." Khloe had nicer things to say about Caitlyn's partner Sophia Hutchins during the Good American designer's appearance on the "Divorce Sucks with Laura Wasser" podcast in May. "She's really sweet. She's younger, but like, she's not bothering anyone," Khloe said, referring to her relationship with Caitlyn as "fine" at the time. "I think we've really come a long way. It was a struggle for all of us ... not because she was transitioning. I think from just how it was all handled." (US Weekly)
Closing the chapter. Jim Edmonds' daughter Hayley Edmonds slammed her stepmother, Meghan King Edmonds, after Us Weekly broke the news of their divorce. "I've been waiting for it. For probably ... three years?" the 22-year-old told Us Weekly exclusively about the split. "I think it's impossible to be happy with someone so ... I don't know if I would say narcissistic but, she, like, creates her own problems and loves conflict and things like that. The selfishness is miserable for anyone to be around, let alone to be married to her. My whole family has grown closer because we have all had to stay silent in hopes to protect my dad and no one can do it anymore." Real Housewives of Orange County viewers may remember seeing Hayley and Meghan's complicated relationship on season 10 of the Bravo series. The then-teenager moved in with Meghan and Jim while her mother, LeAnn Horton, battled cancer. (LeAnn, who also shared daughter Lauren with Jim, died in July 2015.) "I will say I didn't look the best when I was on the show, but I got so much scrutiny from the way that she portrayed me like I was stupid and I didn't care about anything," Hayley told Us about her stint on the series. "In reality, like, I dropped out of high school to take care of my sick mother and she came in and completely manipulated me to get on the show and told me I was making it harder on my mom to be there and I was giving her anxiety and I needed to live with Meghan and give my mom less stress." Meghan and Jim, who tied the knot in October 2014, are parents of daughter Aspen, 2, and 16-month-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes. In addition to Hayley and Lauren, Jim shares daughter Sutton and son Landon from his second marriage to Allison Jayne Raski. "I have a good relationship with Allison and her husband, my sister and I both do. The way Meghan treats my dad's mom is disgusting. And we've all just had to sit quietly and I'm just done with it," Hayley told Us, claiming that Meghan blocked her grandmother on Instagram. "It's a bummer. Because my grandma just wants to see pictures of her grandkids and she had to get them sent to her every day. It just really bummed her out. That really sucks." Us previously confirmed that Meghan accused Jim of "having an affair" with their 22-year-old nanny before he filed for divorce on Friday, October 25. Hayley told Us that the allegations, which Jim and the aforementioned caretaker, Carly Wilson, both denied, are "disturbing." "They're family! They are around everyday and they care about those kids and they care about my dad because he's just like ... they want to help him," Hayley told Us about the Edmonds' staff. "They're just young girls that are just trying to work and be positive and be happy and enjoy their job. And the way she stepped over the line is just completely disrespectful and it's just absurd." Hayley continued: "Especially the way that she treated Carly is mind-blowing to me because she holds herself to very high moral standards and she is a great girl who moved to St. Louis across the country because she loves those kids. And it's just I mean absolutely ludicrous I would say. I can't even ... I keep saying I'm shocked, but I'm not surprised at the way that she goes after people so ruthlessly." Hayley added that she wants people to see her dad's side of the story because he's a "great person." "I think this whole publicity thing with Meghan just ruined his reputation and it's really sad to see because he was an amazing athlete and he held himself to morally high standards and just a great guy so it sucks to see. ... Finally, I'm hoping he'll put himself first and be happy and be able to be a dad again. And I'm stoked that I can have my dad fully back and not have to tiptoe around [Meghan]." Hayley concluded. "Everyone that cares about him is proud that he finally took the leap of leaving her. It really just pisses me off ... She's got the following and she has the public. We've always been a really private family. None of us wanted any of this. We all just want to live our own lives." (US Weekly)
Is Blake Shelton the reason Kyler Murray is quarterbacking the Arizona Cardinals?!? The country star sure made it seem that way when we got him out in L.A. this week ... 'cause he told us he straight-up forced the Cards' GM to take the Oklahoma QB!!! "I told Steve Keim that we wouldn't be friends anymore if he didn't take [Kyler] No. 1 in the draft," Blake says. FYI, Blake is a diehard Cards fan -- he says he's backed the team for more than 20 years -- and says he's got a hell of a relationship with A LOT of high-ranking execs on the team. So, he really might've swayed Steve!!! Of course, the pick seems like a no-brainer now (Kyler's KLLIN' it this season) ... but at one point, a lot of people had their doubts about the Heisman Trophy winner. In fact, Joe Theismann told us way back in April he thought Kyler was making a HUGE mistake by picking football over baseball!!! But, Shelton says he was always super confident that Murray would be a star for his favorite squad ... telling us, "I love Kyler Murray. I love him." As for what he thinks Kyler is going to accomplish for the Cards this year ... Shelton gave us a big, fat guarantee -- saying Arizona will make the playoffs!!! And hey, if Blake turns out to be right ... forget "The Voice" -- put him in the freakin' Cardinals war room next to Keim next year!!! (TMZ)
Kanye West says Jesus has freed him from the clutches of the Democratic Party, which he claims has brainwashed the black community into aborting children. The rapper made the controversial remark during an interview with radio personality Big Boy about politics, his new album and black culture. While Kanye's already been widely accused of abandoning the culture -- due to his support for President Trump -- he doubled down by telling Big Boy ... African-Americans don't really have their own culture. He said it's adopted from a mishmash of consumerism, pushed by Dems to keep black folks trapped -- as opposed to encouraging entrepreneurship and self-ownership ... a traditionally GOP philosophy. Then came the really inflammatory comment about Dems. Ye said on Friday ... the political party has brainwashed his people to do unholy things, like Plan B birth control and encouraging the abortion of babies. He followed up by saying, "Thou shall not kill." He also says Democrats have backed policies for decades that have hurt the black community, and he simply isn't falling in line anymore ... backlash be damned. It would certainly appear Kanye's renewed views are being embraced by conservatives, including Donald Trump Jr. ... who says he loves Ye's album and overall message. (TMZ)
Julian Castro is the Castro twin running for President, but that doesn't mean his brother -- Rep. Joaquin Castro -- isn't thinking about protecting his own neck, IF Julian goes the distance. We ran into the Castro twins Monday at Reagan National Airport in D.C., but instead of talking to the Democratic candidate -- we've talked to Julian plenty before -- we got the Congressman's take on something pretty fascinating. Seeing as how they're identical twins ... would Joaquin be eligible for his own Secret Service detail, if his bro were commander in chief? Joaquin certainly hopes so! As he tells us ... people still mistake him for Julian a lot, even though Joaquin's switched some things up about his look. Apparently, it hasn't been enough ... 'cause he says plenty of folks can't believe they're seeing Julian in the flesh, even though they're not. The distinguished gentleman from Texas cops to going along with it sometimes. Hey, it's good, clean, twin-brotherly fun. (TMZ)
Jason Garrett says he expects Michael Bennett to stand for the national anthem like the rest of the Dallas Cowboys ... telling reporters, "We anticipate him doing what all of our players do." The Cowboys just traded for Bennett last week -- pulling the DE out of New England for a draft pick -- but many have wondered how Bennett will handle pregame anthems in Dallas. Remember, MB has sat for the song in the past as a protest of racial injustices in America ... and during his time with the Patriots this year, he's just stayed in the locker room for the ceremony. But, under Jerry Jones' watch, he's been adamant that Dallas players stand for the anthem -- regardless of their personal beliefs. Star Cowboys players like QB Dak Prescott have supported the team's position in the past -- with Dak saying in 2018, "I never protest during the anthem and I don't think that's the time or venue to do so." When Garrett was asked about all of that on Tuesday, he said, "We don't anticipate that being an issue." Jones also said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday that he believes the same thing, saying, "I'm satisfied that, in Michael, we've got a player who knows how we do it here with the Cowboys." The Dallas Morning News reports that Bennett and the Cowboys reached an agreement before the trade went through that he would stand on the sideline for the anthem in Dallas. Bennett has yet to address the media regarding the issue ... but he's expected to speak with reporters sometime this week. As for Bennett's first game with the Cowboys ... they take on the Giants on "Monday Night Football" next week. (TMZ)

When Kim invited Caitlyn to her Christmas Eve party in December 2018, Khloe pressured her to disinvite their former stepdad.
(TMZ)
