Allow Beyonce to Lift Your "Spirit" With Her New Song From The Lion King. Hakuna matata because Beyonce has gifted us with a new, uplifting anthem. To coincide with the world premiere of The Lion King, Queen Bey -- who voices Nala in the Disney flick -- dropped her original song "Spirit". And, needless to say, this empowering track will help and encourage you to overcome just about anything. You know, in case your uncle overthrows the empire and you're exiled to the jungle with a meerkat and warthog. The usual stuff, right? "The waters crashing / trying to keep your head up high / while you're trembling, that's when the magic happens," the superstar belts out on the nearly five-minute song. "And the stars gather by, by your side / saying rise up to the light in the sky, yeah / let the light lift your heart up / burn your flame through the night." "Spirit" is the first full single to be released from the movie's upcoming soundtrack, The Lion King: The Gift, which Beyonce herself is producing. But, luckily for us, it's not the only song she lends her voice to for the film. The "Formation" singer is also joined by castmate Donald Glover -- he voices Simba -- on the classic, award-winning "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," sung by Elton Johnin the original movie. "This is the culmination for them of so many years of hard work trying to get to our level," co-star Billy Eichner joked about the duo in a joint Variety interview with Seth Rogen. "It's really gratifying that we've been able to give them this opportunity." Chimed in Rogen, "Yeah, I feel good for them. I can't imagine how thrilling it must be for them." (Eichner and Rogen play Timon and Pumbaa, respectively. The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, and John Oliver.) Last month, director-producer, Jon Favreau teased that new Beyonce music would be coming. "There's a song that she performed and wrote in the spirit of the production along with working with Lebo M., who's part of it with Hans Zimmer," he told Fandango. "They were all collaborating with her and helping to bring this new piece of music into a film where there's already a very established musical personality to the piece. So, it was nice of them to have them working with her to allow the new song to feel organically a part of the new production." And, in addition to new music, fans will also get to see Bey take on a larger role in the beloved flick. "In the original film, her role is not as large as in the stage production," he added, "and we definitely drew inspiration, and that was one of the areas where we were going to expand this." The Lion King hits theaters on July 19. The soundtrack will be released that same day. (Eonline)

Death Cab for Cutie's Benjamin Gibbard Releases Cover of 'Frightened Rabbit's 'Keep Yourself War': Death Cab for Cutie frontman Benjamin Gibbard steps out for an emotional reimagining of Frightened Rabbit's "Keep Yourself Warm," lifted from a special new covers project. The Gibbard cut, which dropped at midnight and can be streamed, will appear on Tiny Changes: A Celebration of Frightened Rabbit's 'The Midnight Organ Fight,' which also features covers performed by Julien Baker and Biffy Clyro, Manchester Orchestra, Katie Harkin & Sarah Silverman, Daughter and more. The project, due this Friday (July 12), celebrates the 10th anniversary of the band's seminal album The Midnight Organ Fight, and it arrives a little over a year after the tragic death of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchinson. The late singer's family recently launched Tiny Changes, a mental health charity in his honor. A portion of the proceeds from Tiny Changes' sales will benefit the charity, and album pre-orders include both Baker and Biffy Clyro's previously-released versions of "The Modern Leper." (Billboard)

Swedish Singer Shares Emotional Cover of 'Imagine on 'AGT': Imagine a Nordic singer, delivering a gorgeous version of a John Lennon classic that immediately brings a tear to the eye. That's exactly what happened when Chris Klfford stopped by America's Got Talent on Tuesday night for a very special audition. The hirsute Swede charmed the crowd and judges before sharing an acoustic cover of Lennon's "Imagine," which literally dripped with emotion. "You sing from the heart, you wear your heart on your sleeve. We can all feel that," remarked Howie Mandel after the performance. "I love people who can reinterpret a song, and you did something special," noted Simon Cowell. (Billboard)

Camila Cabello has gone to the light side. The 22-year-old pop star, who is known for her dark tresses, decided to change it up in the music video for her new single, "Find U Again" with Oscar-winning producer, Mark Ronson. In the edgy black and white, film-noir style video, Cabello sports shoulder-length, platinum blonde hair with messy bangs. The star appears unrecognizable with her sexy and lighter hair transformation, but the departure from her signature dark locks happens to fit her music video character, who is moonlighting as a local club singer while trying to flee from a group of bounty hunters. But for those fans who are attached to the singer's famous dark hair, they will be pleased to discover that the bold blonde hairdo is another fabulous Hollywood wig, created by hairstylist Dimitri Giannetos. Giannetos shared a photo of the star's new look on his Instagram Tuesday, praising Cabello for owning the icy, blonde hairdo. "@camila_cabello is serving blonde hair on the new video #FINDUAGAIN W @iammarkronson coming out tomorrow!!!" The singer also had some fun with her dramatic new do and shared a photo on Instagram asking fans what her new blonde, alter ego name should be. "what should her name be? ???????? find you again vid is out tomorrow," the singer wrote on a photo of herself rocking the blonde tresses. Fans appeared to approve of Cabello's light waves as one Instagram user wrote, "Go blonde more often," while another said, "My brain just imploded and I'm LIVING for this look." Cabello's blonde look comes just after rumors began to spread that the singer has been secretly dating, "Senorita" song partner, Shawn Mendes. The two starred as lovers in the sexy music video for their famous duet, and fans went crazy wondering if the two were really together due to their undeniable chemistry in the video. The pair, who have been close pals for years, have not confirmed any type of romantic relationship, Mendes, 20, also denying the rumors in a recent fan Q&A, but after a series of photos were released featuring the rumored couple holding hands and cuddling over the Fourth of July weekend, rumors that duo were romantically linked re-surfaced. The singers first met while opening for Austin Mahone on his Live On tour, back when Cabello was still a member of Fifth Harmony and Mendes was primarily known for his viral Vine videos. When rumors first emerged that the pair were dating in 2015, the two turned it into a joke. "We can't do that!" Mendes told E! News that September. "I mean, Spanish and Canadian don't really mix." Days after the steamy video for "Senorita" was released, PEOPLE confirmed that Cabello had split with her relationship coach boyfriend Matthew Hussey after more than a year of dating. Mendes has been previously linked to actress Chlo Grace Moretz and model Hailey Baldwin Bieber. (People)
